Alaisdair had spent so much time in the forests and the stores there; she rarely traveled out of her hometown. Today was an exception. Something inside willed her to travels and she ended up in the city of Taras. There were so many people bustling about with different businesses to attend to. Children ran about left and right some clutching the sides of their mothers desperately not wanting to get lost others screaming and running trying not to get caught for they were thieves. Child thieves. Disgraceful she thought to herself as she scowled as a child, its race unknown to her ran by her, bumping her in the process. "Damn brats" she grumbled under her breath. Hours had passed and Alaisdair was still unsure of what the place was or where she had ended up. It was silly. Alaisdar was never ignorant of her surroundings nor had she ever felt so insecure about herself. There was always a first time for everything. The sun glittered dimly as it settled behind the trees for a nights sleep. The streets that swelled with many different people and creatures just as quickly turned scarce.
She flipped her long blackish-blue hair and its silver highlights and flaming red tips behind her shoulder, revealing her long pointed ears. Sighing, she closed her eyes to listen for water. About a mile and a half off she heard the rushing waves of water as they fell dramatically to the shore. Staring up at the moon she smiled it rained down silver moon rays to the earth. “Beautiful” she breathed. Looking around she searched for a path that her fleeting feet could follow and lead her to the shore. Pushing off from the ground she hopped the straw covered roofs and the brick made chimneys gracefully, almost as if she was flying. Her ears lead her feet to the beautiful shore off of Taras. The moon danced across the waters as the waves retreated to back to the vaster waters and came back dancing with the tides. The sand was hot under her feet after she took off her boots. A sigh of relief she sat down on the edge of the water her feet close enough to the tide that they would get wet but the rest of her wouldn’t. She rolled up her pants legs quickly before the tides came back.
The cold water washed over her warm feet cooling them from the days hike through the city. Alaisdair was impressed with her own self that she managed to find the shore. Following maps and directions was something she was never good at. She depended greatly on her elvin ears to guide her to water and certain other places. Through most of her day here in Taras she got hopelessly lost. Thankfully she always knew how to get home no matter where she was. “I really need to learn how to read a map better “she sighed as she fell back into the warm sand. Alais stretched her arms out and tilted her face up, becoming submissive to the moon above. “I really love the moon” she moaned out happily.
