Lysanne Natisha Xanith, otherwise known as Lynx, sat at one of the bar tables. She often came to the Green Gryphon and was now a recognized face by the inn keeper and the maids who flitted through the crowds. They brought the young lady drinks and meals without even asking her what she wanted. They knew she liked fish of all kinds and that was usually what they gave her to eat.

The girl sat patiently while she waited to be served. She had a black cloth tied around a pair of cat eyes that didn’t work, and a black dress on to match. It was long and reached down to her ankles, a long slit up the side of it. She didn’t have anywhere to be or anything to do tonight and so she could relax.

Lynx had long purple hair with a pair of cat ears sticking out of it. They constantly twitched and moved to make up for the lack of sight. She sat quietly, having endless amounts of patience.

"You son of a B****! You ripped me off last week! Now pay up!"

"I don't know what you're referring to. You made a sizable donation to my family that day. I was totally honest about everythi--"

"That doesn't matter. You took my money, and I didn't intend to give it to you. I don't know what you did, but I'm going to take it out of your SKIN!"

The male jerked a finger, and the other two men flanking him grabbed Mikael by the shoulders and hustled him out of the tavern, the glint of blades showing in their free hands.

Lynx’s ears picked up on the conversation between the two men. They flicked on her head picking up the anger in one man’s voice. He seemed to have been ripped off. True or not it might be a good time for Lynx to make a bit of money.

She stood up from the table and left a few pieces of gold on the table for whatever she had already had. Lithely she moved through the tavern, following the sound of the two men.

She wouldn’t step in right away. She wanted to know what was actually happening first.

He grunted, shaking his head from the fist in the nose, his blood dripping slightly. He laughed. "If that's the worst you can do, this is going to be a pleasant encounter," he said, and his eyes gleamed slightly.

He shook his head. "You know, I didn't rip you off. You WILLINGLY gave that money to m--"

He was cut off by another fist, this one in the mouth, and a tooth flew off into the night.

He snarled. "Okay. That did it. NOW you've pissed me off. NO ONE takes a tooth out of my mouth without my permission."

He raised his hand, and snapped, a spark shooting from his hand and lodging in the shirt of the one that had punched him, setting his entire outfit aflame, as he reached around, and pulled his longsword from behind his back, only to promptly have it knocked from his hands as he was thrown against the wall, and let out a grunt of pain to accompany the snap of ribs.

Lynx had heard enough. She moved out from where she was standing and towards the men fighting. Lynx withdrew her claws from her hands but kept them calmly at her side. When she moved into the crowd a few of them men stopped and stared at her. She wasn’t sure if they were admiring her or just staring at her ears or tail. She had never seen herself and so had no notion if she was attractive or not.

“What seems to be the problem gentlemen?” She moved her head, mocking a sweeping glance over the gathered. One of the big men stepped forward but she had no idea what he looked like.

“Someone’s robbed us,” Lynx merely nodded and looked around again.

“And you’re doing what to him?”

“Killing him,”

Lynx shook her head as thought it wasn’t the right answer. Which it wasn’t. You should never kill someone for robbery. Lynx walked up to the big man and smiled evilly before she reached out and slashed him across the face with her claws. He yelled and pulled back from him while the others stood stunned for a few minutes. Then they moved in on her. She moved gracefully, like dancing, between the men slashing at them with her claws.
