Title: Assassination <p> Tom
Lynx - June 27, 2008 04:09 PM (GMT)
Lynx crept along the beams that soared in the skeleton of the mansion. She moved along the beams of the attic until she felt the large pole that was the center support of the house. From there she had directions to the small trap door that would lead her down into the heart of the place. She dropped her legs over the side and landed gracefully next to the pole. From there she moved her bare feet so they skimmed the floor. She found the door and opened it quietly dropping down and into the main part of the house.
Lynx lifted her head and sniffed at the air. She heard no one and sensed no one, but she could smell a dinner being cooked. According to the directions she was in a long hallway that led to the stairs. Before dinner the master always took his meals in the 3rd bedroom on the right hand side. Lynx stuck out her hand and traced along the walls counting the doors as she passed them. Finally her hand rested on the 3rd. She pushed the door open, standing to the side of it so that the occupant wouldn’t see her.
”Mayria? Is that you?”
Lynx stood for a moment until she was sure the man had gone back to reading. She dropped down to all fours and slinked into the room. She could hear him breathing, he was at the back of the room, clearly not facing her at all. Lynx stood up and walked over to him, she feet padding across the carpet. She reached out when she sensed she was near him and touched the back of a chair. Using her hand she found the side and the armrest. Lynx grabbed the man’s hand and stood looking out a window she didn’t know was there.
Lynx stood her head slowly. “You should never have done it,” And with that she grabbed her Katana and pushed it through his chest. She covered his mouth with one hand and leaned closer to his face. “You scream everyone in this house dies.”

Tom ran lightly on the roofs of the houses around here. His feet made little sound as she went along the slanted tops. He kept his balance easily, no thief could go clumsy. He reached the nobles house in a matter of minutes from the tavern. The vampire normally never went for the big nobles homes to steal from, but when he hears that this one has piles of gold, like a dragons hoard, then it is defiantly worth checking out. Hopefully there aren't other thieves who have decided this night to go breaking into manors.
He climbed down from the roof he was on, and landed in the back yard of the nobles manor, then he crept towards the back door. There were a few rooms lit up, and he heard the cook fussing, and few more noises that went on in the house. He walked in the shadows, edging towards the door. Suddenly, the door opened, Tom froze, as a maid dumped something out of a bucket to the ground. She thought she heard someone and looked up, but saw no one, he was to far into the darkness. She soon left and closed the door, leaving Tom breathing a sigh a relief.
He shook his head lightly, and continued stalking towards the door, but figured that wasn't the best way it, to dangerous. He slinked towards a nearby window, and smiled as he managed pried it open. He then slid through, landing lightly in the dark study like room. He walked around it, as silent as a mouse, and poked things and lifted them up, but finding nothing of true interest, he went out of the room and made sure no one was coming, then ran up the stairs taking the steps two at a time till he reached the landing.
He stopped in his tracks as he heard a slight scuffle, and he edged towards the door. He opened it, and slid into the room, closing the door quickly but quietly behind him, and he went to a shadow before he could be seen by the woman that stabbed the noble with a katana. And she had cat like ears. His eyes stared with shock. He was not used to seeing those on people, it wasn't right. Before he could stop himself, he stepped out of the shadows, and spoke.
"You... uhm... y-you have cat ears on your head..." He stammered. It was shocking for him to see that. Cats were terrible creatures, one tried to eat his Furfur once.

((OoC: Your my first post of the day. Oh and I was thinking before they get into a fight get Tom to mention he's afraid of cats not her and ... hehehe it'll be so much more fun :D))
When Lynx was sure he was dead she pulled the Katana out of his body and took her hand off his mouth. She started to back up when a voice spoke and she jumped about a foot in the air, twirling to face the intruder. She stood stock still, her tail fluffing up to look 3 times the size, and her lips curled back revealing a pair of sharp teeth. Whoever this was had scared the cat girl and she stood on edge for a second more before relaxing, feeling no threat from him.
Lynx opened her mouth and then paused when she realized just what the man had said. “Of course I have cat ears on my head!” Lynx grabbed her tail in one hand and smoothed it down with the other. “I’m half cat! Meow…” She mocked and would have rolled her eyes if they worked. Lynx walked over to the man and tilted her head from side to side studying him. Her ears twitched on her head taking him in.
“How did you get in here?” And why didn’t I hear you? “And what do you want? I’m…busy here.” Lynx leaned forward and showed her teeth again. She growled slightly at the man, just as irritated with him as she was with herself. WHY hadn’t she heard him? She had heard the fear in his voice when he first spoke so he didn’t intent to hurt her but what did he want and … oh it just drove her mad not knowing. Not only that but he had walked in on an assassination. This would not be good. If he figured it out she might have to kill him. But if he just thought her a murderer. Oh maybe something could be done.
“Look sir. Who are you? And as you can see this place has clearly been taken so you’ll just have to find somewhere else to do because I don’t feel like leaving.” Lynx crossed her hands over her chest and glared at him, wondering if he would back off or if he would actually step up to her insulting tone. “And why are you scared of me? Not that you shouldn’t be but I’m curious to hear it directly from someone.”

Thomas stared at the cat lady, and watched her pull out the bloody katana from the mans body, but Tom wasn't afraid of blood, or the dead body that slumped over, only of the cat lady, but it was mainly just the cat parts about her, the tail fluffing up, the teeth, the ears... Tom stood very still. He may have taken her by surprise, and could easily escape from his fears, but he couldn't make himself budge, he's never seen a cat like lady before, it was just wrong, and... just not right. The humanoid races were not supposed to be cat like, it was freaky.
“I’m half cat! Meow…”
He flinched at the last part, and took a step back. Half cat? Not right! He glanced behind him, to see how far the door was from him, then looked back at the cat lady as she walked over to him. He closed his eyes tightly, wishing he could just disappear. He could easily still slip away, especially seeing that she was blind, at least, she looked it, he wouldn't take chances. His flicked his left hand and a punching dagger snapped out, and Tom clenched onto the daggers handle. He held it just at his side, in case he needed it.
“How did you get in here? And what do you want? I’m…busy here.”
"Uhmm... my secret?" He said, in a quieter voice, and finally opened his eyes to stare at the cat girl. It was a answer he almost gave everyone, just in a better way of saying it, it wasn't right for a rogue to give out how they get in and what they want.
“Look sir. Who are you? And as you can see this place has clearly been taken so you’ll just have to find somewhere else to do because I don’t feel like leaving.”
"Taken? But I thought assassins just kill and run, not claim the place for stealing..." He said, it was probably not the best thing to say around an assassin, but he couldn't help it, this person was part cat! It was not a thing you see every day. He had ignored her question, but the only hint of what he was doing here, was that he was trying to steal things. He watched her, as she glared at him, and took another step back, and clenched his dagger tighter.
“And why are you scared of me? Not that you shouldn’t be but I’m curious to hear it directly from someone.”
"Your... your a part... c-ca-cat..." It was then obvious that he was terrified of cats, not exactly her, just the cat her, and anything cat like, anything that had to do with cats was terrifying.

"Uhmm... my secret?"
“I suppose we all have secrets,” Lynx whispered under her breath. “And for god’s sake put down that dagger I’m not interested in fighting you,” Lynx smiled happily, sure that she had surprised the man in knowing he had such a thing in his hand. It wasn’t odd since she was more in tune with hearing things like the rustling of clothing or the sound of metal against cloth.
"Taken? But I thought assassins just kill and run, not claim the place for stealing..."
Lynx growled at him threateningly. She couldn’t talk herself out of being an assassin now that he had seen her in the act. She sighed and let her growl die. She breathed out slowly unsure what she should do. She should have killed him but for some reason she doubted she would. She’d get his name then and let him know if he ever breathed a word of her and what she did she’d hunt him down and kill him.
“So is that what you’re here for? Theft?” Lynx shook her head slowly. Stealing was wrong and she didn’t believe in it. But she supposed that sometimes it might be alright. She was too rattled about being caught still to give it much thought.
"Your... your a part... c-ca-cat..."
“You’re scared of me because I’m a cat..?” Suddenly an evil smile crept onto Lynx’s face. She crept closer to Tom and licked the back of her hand and brushed it over her hair. “Meow,” She moved closer and showed her sharp cat like teeth to Tom. “Cats are nice.” Lynx walked right up to Tom and placed her hands on his chest, bringing out her claws and kneading his shirt. “Cats won’t hurt you,” Lynx purred and wrapped her tail around one of Tom’s legs. “See... what is there to be afraid of?” Lynx let out a little laugh mixed with a soft purr.

“And for god’s sake put down that dagger I’m not interested in fighting you,”
What? How'd she know he had a dagger? She stared at her. She looked blind to him at least somewhat, but then it clicked. She was part cat, then that must be she has good hearing, at least, that what Tom believed, it was the only explanation, but instead of letting go of his punching dagger, he gripped it a bit tighter. He took a step back when she growled at him, after he had said something about assassins.
“So is that what you’re here for? Theft?”
"Uh... yeah, basically. I wasn't expecting to find... a... an assassin here." He looked over to the dead, and stared at the fresh blood flow to the floor. Such delicious food should not be wasted like that, one reason why he never liked assassins, they did nothing but cool vampires food. He looked back at the neko.
“You’re scared of me because I’m a cat..?”
His eyes widened with fear again, and he took a step back. Somehow, he didn't think what he said before was good, because he saw her evil smile, often people tormented him about being afraid of cats, he couldn't understand why people like such vile monsters. He watched her with fearful black eyes, and noticed she had pointed teeth. Then she walked towards him. Then she put a hand on his chest and kneading it, much like a cat. She then wrapped a tail around his leg. He closed his eyes again, wishing this nightmare would end.
“See... what is there to be afraid of?”
Her laugh seemed to unnatural to him. He shuddered as a shiver went up his spine.
"Leave me alone." He whimpered
