A small breeze swept through the lands, the willow trees swaying steadily, leaves rustling softly against one another. The lakes silvery blue surface disturbed as ripples formed from the over hanging branches that touched its watery depths. Stars faintly visible within the cloudless medium teal coloured skies. Light footfalls could just be heard as a slim figure walked upon the short vibrant green blades of grass in a steady pace. Long legs guiding the female as she pleased, metal upon her body shimmering in the dense light of the distant setting sun. A soft sigh escaped her dark blue lips as she walked aimlessly along the edge of the lake, cold white blue eyes gazing out into the horizon where the sky met with the vast lake, eyes watching as the sunlight danced upon the waters surface. Dark teal hair flowing behind the woman as the wind toyed with it. Bringing up her hands she tucked her long hair behind her pointed ears. Tanned speckled blue skin glowing as few spotlights of sun penetrated down through the entangled mess of branched that loamed up high above her. Silver scales under her left eye glittering as she peered up at the canopy of willow branches above her. A small smile tugged in the corners of her lips as she continued walking along the edge of the lake, eyes trailing downwards watching her reflection as she walked onwards slowly.
Walking on for just a short while, Vervain stopped and settled herself down onto the soft grass. Sitting at the edge of the lake she smirked at her reflection looking back at her with that same smile. Glancing upwards at the sky she stretched out her legs and dipped them into the cold water. Placing her hands either side of her, Verv moved her long legs slowly feeling the water against her skin. Closing her eyes slowly she smiled and inhaled the fresh aromas that lingered around her, the smell of the lake and the over hanging willows. Eyes opening she took a look around her, realising that she indeed was alone. The way she had always been and the way she liked it. Smiling to herself she lent back against the grass, dark teal hair mingled with the vibrant green blades of grass messily, strands over her face as her legs were still moving slowly, kicking gently within the lake, the cold water sending a delightful chill up her spine as she lay there peacefully.
Lysanne slinked through the grass her bare feet hardly making a sound against the soft earth. Her body was lithe and moved as agilely and gracefully as her cat counterpart. She couldn’t see where she was but that never seemed to bother her in the least. Her purple hair flowed around her body, much like water, and a tail curled around her left leg, out of the way while she moved across the field. A pair of cat ears twitched on top of her head, taking in every sound around her. Her eyes were covered with a cloth, wrapped tightly around and tied at the back. A small amount of blood stained the bottom of the cloth around her eyes but it was dark brown and old, she had yet to change the cloth from this morning. Her eyes had a tendency to bleed, although she had been blind from birth.
Lysanne could smell the water on the breeze and knew there was a lot of it close by, she could even hear the calm lapping of the lake against the shore. She knew it was a lake, either that or a pond, but she had no way of knowing for sure. The air was cool but had the warmth of summer and so was not chilling. She smiled as she glided over the grass, letting her senses guide her. Just because she lacked sight didn’t mean she couldn’t explore the world she was in. Her guild had let her off for a few days and so she took the time to enjoy herself, yet something inside her still itched for the next target to present itself to her.
She was torn between the relaxation of the area she was in and the will inside her that told her to go back and demand to keep working. She knew that it wouldn’t work though and so she gave into the relaxation.
Lysanne Natisha Xanith. No one knew her full name anymore. She simply went my Lynx now. Sometimes she would offer her first name, but with her job even that came at a risk. As she moved she sensed someone up ahead, an odd talent of the blind. Lynx dipped low into the grass and crept closer. Soon she could hear the breathing of the person. Light breaths, more like a woman, but once again it was only instinct and until the person talked she couldn’t be sure. Lynx rested her hand on the hilt of her Katana and stood up.
“Hello. What brings you here?”
Cold sapphire eyes gleamed in the sunlight that loamed high above in the clear blue sky, looking at the heavens, Vervain let a smile tug at the corners of her lips. Letting out a soft sigh as she remained laid back upon the soft grass floors, legs kicking back and forth slowly, the feel of water against her tanned and blue patched skin refreshing and calming. Closing her eyes again, silver scales under her left eye shimmering like gem stones, Verv began to think back to the days where she still remained within the water. Misty eyes reopened slowly, turning her head to either side of her she looked at the vibrant green grass and the beautiful weeping willows that surrounded the lands. At least Vervain could enjoy the best of both worlds, on land and in the water. Grinning, clearing her mind of thought Vervain closed her eyes and embraced the peace and quite of the land, the only sounds the water Genasi could hear was the soft sound of the whistling breeze and the rippling of the water that her long lean legs swayed within.
Slender body stiffened some as Verv kept her eyes closed at the sound of someone moving within the grass, approaching her maybe? Probably. Eyes opening quickly Vervain lifted herself from the floor, sitting up, hands on either side of her, left hand clutching the metal handle of her dagger that was around her leg placed within a leather holster. Turning her head Verv’s eyes fell upon a blind girl leaning on her katana, a tail wrapped around her left leg, with cat like ears? Raising a brow towards the girl Vervain’s head jerked to the side as she listened to the woman’s voice and words directed towards her. Licking her lips for the moment, not liking the thought of having to converse Vervain rolled her shoulders and released a silent sigh and replied with her watery feminine tone, ”Ah ello.. “ peering around her she looked back to the girl and continued answering her question ”..the surroundings are just, well, relaxing the sunlight upon the lakes waters, the cool summer breeze here.. it’s just, peaceful.” She shrugged slightly, it had been awhile since Vervain had spoken to anyone, frowning to herself at the amount she has said she couldn’t help but smirk slightly. Peering back to the cat like woman Vervain observed her and questioned, ”So.. May I ask what brings you here?” she asked softly, hands brought up tucking her long dark teal hair behind her ears as the wind toyed with random strands.
