Lilith Vie LeMonte - June 17, 2008 11:45 PM (GMT)
Lilith had her blond hair loose like always but she was dressed differently today. She wore riding gear, much different from the usual dress she normally draped herself in. Her pants were spandex material in a light brown color while her top was a white blouse. Her feet were slipped into comfortable riding bloods, polished to a black sheen. Even in this attire she refused to be unsightly. She also had no helmet on, she never wore one since it would flatten her golden curls. She had left her borrowed horse behind since she didn’t really need it anymore, right now she just needed to get to an inn and rest for the night.

It had been early afternoon when Lilith had started her walk to the tavern the stable boy had pointed her in the direction of. Now it was dusk, the sun slowly sinking behind the horizon had turned the sky dark red while navy chased close on its tail. In the distance stars had started to make an appearance in the darkness. They twinkled and sparkled in joy, oblivious to the problems that were light years away from them.

Lilith pushed a man to the ground, one of the two bandits that had the unfortunate choice of picking Lilith as a target. She took her boot and landed it squarely on the man’s ear, crushing his face into the cobbled road. The other one rushed at her, but she ducked under his arm and turned quickly on her heels. With one hand she grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back, the other snatched the dagger from her waist and held it to the mans throat.

“Please...please don’t.”

Lilith rolled her eyes before twisting his arm violently and shoving him forward. The man stumbled and fell holding out his good arm to catch himself. He begged with Lilith again, who was already in a sour mood the men had only made it worse. He turned around and faced her, sitting with his legs out in front of him. Lilith walked up slowly, her boots clicking on the ground. Click. Click. Click. Once she reached him she planted her boot in his chest knocking him down.

“A man shouldn’t beg.” With that Lilith forced his mouth open with her dagger, grabbing his tongue with one quick motion and sliced it off.

Lifting a hand to wipe away the excess of blood that oozed from the corner of his mouth, the intent gaze of the man focused upon a woman approaching the building he held safe haven along side of. Almost immediately the man’s hand dropped to his side as he slinked back behind the structure and to a pile of crates neatly stacked at the rear of the building. With great ease and grace the man leapt up the first, second, and third only to then use his hands to lift himself up onto the roof without hesitation and a faint patter of feet. Rising up from his current crouched position, the careful placement of his feet would carry him up to the peak of the roof, where he would then proceed to follow the sturdiest point of the building to the front side where he saw the woman head towards. No sound would echo forth from the action, due to the supported structure of it and the increased thickness at the peak due to overlapping shingles.

Out of sheer humor, both of his arms would lift off to his side, bringing themselves to a parallel base with the ground bellow for extra balance. That idea only seemed to make things a lot more difficult, since one would drift down while the other lifted upwards in hopes to counter act leaning, but it seemed only to prove counter productive. Regardless, it was something to pass the time…But it would be cut short when his eyes shifted and focused upon the now retreating image of the woman from the front side of the building. Xavion’s lips shifted into a disappointing frown at the sight, before deciding to follow her through the means of the rooftops. There was no real purpose to it, other than curiousness.

Stopping all further actions, his body would turn towards one side of the roof, still balancing on the roof. Gauging with his eyes, they would study the gap and the distance, trying to factor out the speed and trajectory he would need to skip it. In one fluid movement, his upper body would rock forward and his feet would carry off into a rush of speed down the slope of the roof. Just before reaching the edge, both of his legs would flex and push himself off the edge only to land upon the other rooftop with a alarming loud thud. The action caused him to cringe at the thought of her hearing him, but decided to push it aside and quickly scrambled up to the peak of the new rooftop only to repeat the process, this time the gaps growing shorter and more rapid.

And then….She stopped, causing his pace to come to a standstill where he would drop to a crouch to keep himself from being too obvious in his spying. A couple figures came into view and a scuffle seemed to break out involving the woman. Impulses jerked his body to life, but were quickly quelled when the woman brought one to the ground and proceeded to slice off his tongue. The action seemed to bring wry amusement to his visage, but they would be pushed aside when he moved to the edge of the roof and jumped off to land with a couple of loud clicks as his boots came into contact with the cobblestone. Re-righting his stance, Xavion turned to face the woman and proceeded towards her, hands coming up to slam against each other in mock clap. “Bravo, bravo…Gives a whole new meaning to cat has your tongue don’t you think?” The voice was soft and alluring in its sound, his eyes on the other hand were focused elsewhere for the moment, “Now now guys…Can’t we all get along…? Can’t you understand this kind of thing happens when you don’t play nicely?” Of course the comment wasn’t directed to that of Lillith, but instead the others who were trying to accost the woman.

Slow and methodically, Xavion’s eyes would trail to the woman, where he would then proceed to swing an arm elegantly out in front of him, only to hook it in towards his mid-drift where he would bow in her direction. Rising again, a grin prominent upon his features, “The name is Xavion Lycanther and how about you, Miss?”

A clap brought Lilith to a halt and she turned to see who had created the noise. Lilith already didn’t like the man. Lilith couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the mention of ‘cat got your tongue’. It was tired and old and she really found the first impression of this man made him clichéd in her opinion, and really that was the only one that mattered to her. She crossed her arms over her chest and watched the man. She felt something move behind her and looked back to see the man she had cut out the tongue of moving away from her. She took two steps backwards and swung her arm back, burying her dagger in his skull.

“No. They can’t get along and they can’t play nice.” Lilith shrugged her shoulders as if she had no idea why that was. She reached down and pulled her dagger from his skull and twirled it between her fingers as she moved to the other man who sat shivering. “It’s a shame really, but scum are scum and will probably always be scum.” She kicked the man in the chest and he groaned and fell to his side. “I might as well help the world out a bit.”

Finally she stopped and regarded the man in front of her. At least he was formal and knew how to treat a lady... or address one anyway. For some reason his intrusion had annoyed her and now she didn’t really want to speak with him. She sighed mentally and put away her dagger for now. Everyone deserved a second chance she supposed and so she curtsied back and lowered her head slightly. When she rose she looked him right in the eye but had no grin and no real expression on her face at all. “I’m Lilith Vie LeMonte. But Lilith will do fine thank you,”

After she had finished addressing herself she just didn’t feel like doing any more damage to the man who had attacked her any more. Instead she just wanted to sit down and have a drink. She sighed, she hadn’t realized how fast her moods could change. She lowered her arm and helped up the man on the ground. “Don’t ever come back here or I’ll find you,” She hissed the words in his ear. The man nodded vigorously and went to run off but Lilith had him by the arm still. She yanked the man backwards, almost causing him to stumble. “Get your friend out of here too.” The man nodded slowly and Lilith released him.

When he was free he went over and grabbed his companion by the arm. He struggled for a moment before he found a comfortable position and hoisted his friend over his shoulder before moving off. Lilith turned her gaze back to the man. “So why are you here and where did you come from?”
