Finding her way here was an accident, but not something she was going to argue about. Who would argue with chance? She could hear the sounds of someone not far off. It sounded like a camp with a lot of people. She was still in the form of a small dove. Ivory had perched on a dead branch caught up in a tree. She couldn’t see the camp or the horses she could hear. Not with her eyes the way they were. She did see the wagons though. Brightly colored and settled in a circle.

She didn’t feel like dealing with them. Not so many people. The falls would be a good place to stay for a while. She had a little food left and after all the people had left she could look around for more if needed. So the white dove took to the air. A nightingale followed not far behind it. Both birds flew over to the falls and slipped behind them where there was a small gap caused by a ledge. After Ivory flew inside she landed on the ground and looked around. She saw no one there. Ivory did see the stones covering the walls instead. That was when she decided it was alright to change back. Polymorphing back into her own elven body she rose her hand to the wall. She ran hand over the interesting texture of the wall and was enchanted by the glow and colors.

The nightingale lighted on her shoulder as she made her way down the tunnel. She kept her hand on the right wall as she went so there would be little chance of getting lost. It wasn’t alive. She could see it so clearly. It made her smile. Such beauty was hidden here behind the falls. She wondered if anyone else knew it was here.

Falcas Durrall - June 10, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
Falcas snuck around the camp, not paying them much attention. He didn't want any trouble, and bing a dwarf, his height would certainly catch some. On more than one occasion, a drunk had decided to try to pick a fight. And on more than one occasion, the man ended on his arse with a goose egg on his skull, dazed and confused while the dwarf lowered his fists.

Certainly tougher than he appeared, the dwarf was a mean, sturdy one with his hands, but with his morningstar, he was deadly. Thumper, as he had appropriately named it, bursts into flames whenever he wished it, causing a bit of burn to the bite.

Even so, he didn't want unnecessary attention. Falcas stuck to the trees and such, making his way to the lake for a dip. When he arived, Falcas licked his lips and dropped his bag on the ground, diving in. He kept his morningstar on, as he didn't worry about rust when he could use the heat to dry it. He splashed around, then floated on his back. Staring at the sky, the poor dwarf never noticed the waterfall pulling him in until it was too late.

Falcas was sucked under and tossed about, hit against rocks and such. Right before he lost his breath, he was tossed up on the otherside of the waterfall. Falcas got out of the water, stomping along wringing out his ample beard and cursing with flying colors.

Falcas shook his head like a dog and walked along, anger lost at the beauty of what was before him. He strode along the crystal caves as his cursed died off. Falcas ran a hand along the wall and walked into the dark tunnels. When he unstrapped his morningstar and made it ignite, throwing flames everywhere, he spotted a woman a little ways off. Falcas walked towards her, but tripped on an unseen rock.

Argh! For the love of--”

The walls themselves seemed to be glowing slightly. It was rather backwards in a way. It was getting brighter further away from the entrance. Perhaps the sun diffused it somehow? She shrugged her shoulders to herself. She didn't really have a way to test it right now. Not unless she found a loose peace somewhere. Keeping her hand on the right wall she kept going down the tunnel.

She froze when she thought she saw another something. She didn't know what it was but it was ahead of her. Something that was barely there. Something that was hidden from her. Her hand went to her blade. Down here there were many twists and turns. It could simply be someone else. Perhaps from the wagons outside?

Then another sound reached her and she spun about to see someone or something alive. It was much more solid then the other thing she had sensed. She couldn't see who it was but by the sounds of it... Ivory smiled. A dwarf. That was something useful to find in a cave. It wasn't as if she really cared if he had somehow managed to hurt himself or not. Though, it would be useful she supposed. If nothing else, he would be able to tell if something was wrong with the tunnels themselves. In addition to that he would see people that she couldn't. Ivory pretended to look right at where his voice had come from. "Hello. Are you alright?"

Falcas cursed as he looked up, still laying flat on his belly. The woman was looking his way, but he couldn't tell if it was at him or near him. Falcas wondered for a moment before realizing the woman might not be able to see in the darkness as well as he could. Falcas stood up and walked towards her, morning star catching fire once more. With his free hand, be brushed off his front and beard.

Aye, i'm fine lass. Just nearly drowned, tripped, and've been without a good drink in too long.” He said in a falsely cheery voice. He approached the woman and saw she was white-skinned. He had never seen one so white as she. An albino, perhaps? He'd heard of such an ailment. Not fatal, but easily burned.

If he remembered right, there was an albino dwarf in the deep city. But he'd never got to see it himself, only heard stories about him.

Falcas slung his morningstar behind his back, spiked head resting on his back. The flames licked at him, but didn't burn him or his clothing. Quickly brushing off a grubby hand, he held it out to shake. “I'm Falcas Durrall. Who might you be?” He asked kindly, cheering up a bit.

Suddenly he wondered why she was down here. “Have you come to enjoy the caves, lass? I do suppose they are beautiful things.”
