Title: Lost kitten?
Description: <p>

She was really starting to like this place, these woods. They were always so quiet and lately, when ever she showed up, she was greeted by that one thin black cat she had met on her first visit to the area. Town wasn't far from where she appeared from the shadows though. The purple light flickered eerily off in the distance.

The cat appeared once more shortly after AD did and she knelt down to greet it. The cat arched it's back as she stroked it, but instead of hanging about her for a bit, it started off in one direction. Curious, Aether Draka followed it. The thin cat lead her to a broken tree trunk, dead and hollowed out. She was confused by this until the black cat with her meowed and there came a preventive reply, almost a cry, from inside the stump.

With a look of surprise she went over to the stump and looked inside. Deep down in the bottom was a pair of shinning eyes. When those little eyes say her a tiny mouth appeared in the darkness to give another cry of a meow. Without thinking about it, she attempted to reach it, but her arm just couldn't reach that far. She couldn't reach it... Pulling her arm out of the hole she took a step back. "So how do I do this?" She wondered out loud, studying the stump as the tiny black kitten who had somehow found it's way inside continued in it's cries now that it knew someone was there.

Lost. Utterly lost and nearly alone in a night that never ended.

Late last night he had stumbled upon the city of Balefire, the City of Lanterns. He'd escaped Kellen, and had gone wandering, hoping to lose any followers, and walked through the darkness brought from the shadow plane without even knowing it. Loaded down with gold, he walked the twilight market and admired the wares for sale. Most interesting was an animal from the Dark Lands, one of the traders had aquired. Bought it from a Drow, supposedly, but who knew? Even as a baby it was huge, easily rideable even for a grown man, and colossal for a being the size of a six year old.

So he had to buy it. It even had a two year won't-eat-you guarantee.

So here he was tugging along a T-Rex in the woods in an endless dark. Just great. Even better, the baby Rex had heard something moving in the woods ahead and desperately wanted to eat it.

Quietly, Donner tied the Rex's leash to a tree and told it to sit. As he walked off towards the noises, he looked over his shoulder and reassured himself that the thing was going nowhere soon.

I have enough problems as it is. Please, please, please don't get loose.

Not being able to find a way to get the kitten out without hurting it seemed to be her biggest problem. Anything she could summon could destroy the stump, but was likely to destroy the kitten too. That was just not going to work. A net of some type might work, but she didn't have that...

AD walked around the stump as the kitten gave out another plaintive meow. "I hear you but I'm not sure how to help you!" she said in an exasperated tone. She could hack away at the wood until she could reach it... or... or what?

Biting her lip with a slightly more pointed canine than most people had but not one long enough to be called a fang, she began walking around the stump again, this time in the other direction. Then she had an idea. She knelt down and scooped up as much dirt as she could hold and dumped it in the stump with the kitten. The kitten protested, shaking off the dirt and sounding mad. "It’s just dirt silly. We can clean you up once you’re out." She told the kitten as she got more dirt. She dumped that in too and scooped up more to repeat the process. If she got enough dirt in under the kitten she might be able to reach it. It wasn't as if the little thing was going to let the dirt stay on it. It was going to be ungrateful though. She just knew it.
