Title: A Long Awaited Return
Gibbon - June 3, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)
Gibbon sat in a stool across the way from a cheerful band. They were playing a lovely slow ballet. It was late in the evening; he was enjoying a dark ale. "Why have I brought myself back here?" he said to himself. He then looked over to his right and saw exactly why.
He had gone many places and many lands. And along those journeys he brought the one person who he couldn't live without. His wife Finduilas. He had brought her home to the land he grew up knowing. It was only just to do so in time.
"Honey, shall we dance?" he asked Fin. He knew the answer, but couldn't resist asking first. "May our love last forever. Welcome home Finny."
Finduilas - June 3, 2008 02:55 AM (GMT)
Finduilas smiled happily at her husband as he looked over at her in an adoring fashion. Giggling softly as he asked her to dance while the band put on a joyful tune and nodded. “Why of course Sweetheart,” Finny said to her husband and held her hand out to him. Once he had taken it and they had taken to the dance floor she placed her hands around his neck and looked deeply into his eyes.
In a soft gentle voice she said to Gibbon, “It is a wonderful feeling to be home at last… But are you happy? You seem slightly tense tonight… Are you sure you are going to be happy here in Imythess? It has been so long sine we have been here last and it seems like nearly everything has changed.” She said all this as they slowly moved in a circling motion to the beat of the music. Her eyes remained locked on his as she waited for his response for all that mattered to her was that he was happy and that they were together.

"I am more than happy to be here. We need a place to truly call home. I have great memories of this place. For one I met you here." He smiled locked eyes with Fin. He then look over at the band and then back at Fin. "So, you going to try and get a job at the tavern again?" he laughed as he knew she loved the job she had at the tavern years ago. Time would only tell if this was the right move for Gibbon. It seemed like the only logical choice. Finny was happy so that made him happy. His goals in life were more relaxed now that he grew comfortable in his skin.
Finduilas - June 3, 2008 12:56 PM (GMT)
Finduilas smiled at Gibbon’s words and nodded agreeing with him. Moving closer to him she rested her head upon his shoulder and thought about what she wanted to do with as a job for now on. “I think I want to try something new… I believe I want to become a druid… I want to work with nature and its animals” she told him as she straightened back up and smiled. “Are you going to return to being a bounty hunter once again?” she asks, that having been his job prier to their leaving Imythess the first time.
Slowly as the song came to an end, Finny released herself from Gibbon’s hold and walked over to the tavern’s bar. She ordered up to dark ale’s and returned to the stools they had been sitting at. Placing herself down upon one she took a few sips of hers and handed Gibbon his. “There we are… A nice drink after a slow dance” she said smiling.

Gibbon sat down and took a sip of his ale. He thought about what Fin asked him. What would he do, take up bounty hunting again? Or would he go back and pursue the world of fire, he so dearly embraced once. He wasn't quite sure yet, but he was in no hurry to make a decision one way or the other.
"I'm not quite sure what I'll be doing. This time around I'll let things come to me. Rather than trying to run them down." he wasn't quite sure what he meant by that. "As for you becoming a druid. I find that to be splendid. It fits you perfectly. I can help you with your training in combat too." he smiled and gave her a kiss. He knew this would help him too. He needs to get back into shape. "And your canine friends can give you an upper hand on the nature aspect of being a druid. But I would suggest seeking guidance from another druid too." he then drank some more ale and buried himself in his thoughts on himself and what guidance he could seek. He knew not his future, but he knew it included Finny know.
Finduilas - June 4, 2008 01:18 AM (GMT)
Listening to his words about not knowing honestly what he wanted to do anymore she nodded quietly in understanding. A smile came to her face as her husband informed her that he would allow things to come to him this time instead of chasing after him. The fact he was no longer chasing everything that dealt with fire anymore showed great growth in Gibbon and Finduilas was so proud of him. Beaming at her husband she made to speak when he suddenly changed subjects on her and began to speak about her plan to become a druid. So pleased to hear that he supported this idea of hers she was more than happy to return the kiss he suddenly placed upon her.
Smiling at him as their lips broke apart she at long last got in a few words. “Thank you so much for the offer to help me better in my ways of combat! I would love to take you up on that offer once we have settled back down. As for my furry friends helping me out I hope you are right… I have been away from here for a while and will have to earn my way back into the pack,” she said to him. “But I do wish you would not speak of them so openly” Finduilas said to Gibbon in little bit more of a serious voice.
As Gibbon fell away into his own thoughts on what he wanted to do in his future, a thick silence came between the two, and soon Finduilas also was deep in thought. She thought about what it would be like to be in the forests again in Imythess and if she could ever once again gain the acceptance of the local wolf pack. Other ideas also filled her mind; less pleasant ones. These less pleasant ones included the ideas of being shunned once again by those who had known them before and still held a grudge towards Gibbon’s fiery ways or that perhaps some people who had known her secret had slipped up. The very last thing she wanted to happen was for the pair of them to once again have to move because of her stupid curse, sometimes she absolutely hated being a werewolf.
Gibbon - June 4, 2008 02:44 AM (GMT)
As Gibbon thought on about his future in Imythess. He wondered if his path was decided long ago. Or was it still to be made up. One reason he came back was to find out if the path of fire was his to claim. He would find it here for sure.
He looked at Fin off in her own thoughts and wondered what she was thinking about. Was it about settling in here and raising a family finally or was it about reestablishing herself in the community. Who knows, women are too difficult to figure out sometimes.
He hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Whatever you’re thinking, I will be here right with you. Love can go a long ways to solve things, Finny. We will learn it to be true. I hope." he finished his ale and rested his head on her head breathing the aroma of the one he love so much. Nothing can stand between him and his love for her, right now.
Finduilas - June 4, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
Finny snuggled in close to Gibbon as he rested his head upon hers and smiled. “Thank you for snapping me back into reality” she whispered softly. “I was getting lost in my worries of being discovered…” she explained before slowly wrapping her fingers around his. “I am nervous… I am glad to be back in Imythess but all the same I am nervous… I have an odd feeling… things will not be the same… I do know that but I also think they maybe more difficult…” she explained to him in a whisper of a voice.
However there were other feelings the blonde werewolf was having; feelings she was not ready to disclose to Gibbon yet. Letting out a deep sigh she stayed close to her husband and closed her bright green eyes. Her thoughts of worry came rushing back in right away and this time they were accompanied by some of her deepest fears. The fears that hunted Finduilas both during the night and day mainly flowed around her worried feeling that something was not right; that something bad would come to pass between she and her beloved.
Opening her eyes once again she moved her head gently as to not bother Gibbon too much and sat up so that she was eye to eye with him. “Gibbon… is there something you are not telling me? I feel as if something is wrong between us and I do not know what it is… Is there something wrong?”
Gibbon - June 5, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Gibbon sat back listening to the concerns of his wife. He understood that things would be tough for her, but he felt no real concern for worry. Things are tough in a wide world as this. But what struck a nerve was Finny ask if there was something Gibbon was holding back. There was one thing in particular, children. He wanted them but he was worried they would be beasts of burden. Having his fiery ways and her werewolf genes. But he knew he wanted them no matter what. Even if it meant they would be Hellhounds.
"Yeah, I want children. I know we have talked about this before but I have weighed the options’ and I want them no matter how they turn out. They will be ours and I'd love them no less." he drank down his ale in a gulp and slammed it down. He leaned forward and rested his head on his arms. "I mean how bad could they be? Can't be any worse than me." he said into his arms and the table.
Finduilas - June 5, 2008 01:47 AM (GMT)
Finduilas’s eyes held her husband’s as she listened to his words as he answered her question about something being wrong. A sigh of relief slipped from her lips as she let her eyes drop close as she heard what had been bothering Gibbon. “Thank the Gods” she whispered softly and let a smile come to spread across her lips as she opened her bright green eyes. Smiling at Gibbon she nodded quietly as he continued to speak saying he did not care what their children would come out as but that he wanted them. Slowly she reached out to him as he slammed his glass down to the table and threw his face down into his arms upon the table. Resting her hand upon his head she slowly stroked his hair and began to whisper to him in a soothing voice, “You have no idea how happy you have just made me my love.”
Smiling at him still, with tears building up in her bright green eyes she slowly moved her hand beneath his chin and lifted it so that he was looking at her. “Sweetheart” she whispered, “Thank you… Thank you so much! I am so glad you want to have children too! I was so scared you would never want to have them and that would have been fine as long as we had been together… but I would have always been a touch disappointed.” Finny said this to her husband before slowly leaning forward and kissing him lovingly on the lips. “Gibbon I will love any children we have no matter what because they will be our children and I love you more than I thought I could ever love anyone,” she told him and kissed him again on the lips as her tears finally spilling down her cheeks. “I love you Gibbon!” she said again.

Gibbon knew he had made her happy. It wasn't an easy decision. It took more than two years to come to it. But in the end he knew it was right. His legacy and she must move on beyond just them.
"I love you too! When we settle in we will start a family, I promise. It will be a wonderful one." he sat starring into the innocent eyes of his love. "I can see the world in those eyes. And do you know what I see? Hope."
The band seemed to be playing a more upbeat tune. They had a man playing a lute now. Some drunken men began dancing with there spirits. Things seemed to be very cheerful. And why not, Gibbon was going to start a family. Things could be better, right?
