Title: Silendra's Study
Description: {Hope I am allowed to post here lol}

Silendra - May 25, 2008 02:49 AM (GMT)
Silendra sat in her study before her desk after finishing writing in her journal and she placed it down, storing it in a magically sealed safe which only she could open. She couldn't have that charming fiance of hers stumbling upon her journal now could she? Silendra gave a soft chuckle before getting out her money chest where she kept a few extra gold coins that she made about her adventures, just as a savings of sorts in the event that she would need them. Lifting the lid she placed twenty of the gold coins in her coin purse inside, along with the ten that were already in there and smiled, good her little savings was slowly increasingly. She hadn't told Eliel of it yet but she would if she had to, but a girl was allowed a little something of her own wasnt' she?

Eliel - May 26, 2008 12:11 AM (GMT)
Eliel opened the trapdoor to his study and sighed, weariness taking him over. He had just come back from meeting an acquaintance he had been planning to see for some time now. After all, it was no short trip from the under dark to a cave on the surface. He had been a friend of Eliel’s from some time ago, a burly drow smith by the name of Bacchius. The man had been paid a good sum, around two hundred gold pieces, for a reforging of a bit of Eliel’s past. He held it in a wooden case, around four feet high and two feet wide. Eliel slid it into his study and crawled up the last couple stairs, closing the trapdoor behind him. He had not had any sense to check if Silendra was about the place, as he had not told her about the reforging, and wondered what her thoughts were on the subject.

Eliel turned around the study and spotted his wife a minute too late. She sat at the desk he had placed in the room, on her side of the room, devided by a screen. He looked at her and back to his box and chuckled nervously. “Hello, dear. I’m back.” He smiled at her, leaning on the case as if it were nothing, shooting a glance back to his desk to make sure all of his locks were in place. He walked over to her and kissed her lightly, interrupted by a quiet wheezing bark that sounded a bit like a cough. Startled, he turned to his desk, a yellowish ball of fur scurrying in his direction excitedly.

Eliel laughed and picked up the furfur, cradling it in one arm. “Nice to see you too, roy.” He patted the creature and tossed him onto the loveseat gently.

Silendra - June 2, 2008 09:41 AM (GMT)
Silendra chuckled as her husband Eliel returned from carrying out an errand, he looked tired and slightly injuried, she wrapped her arms about him and placed a soft kiss on his lips "I had hoped that you would return soon my love, I was missing you." She knew better than to ask about his business as that was his concern not hers, she loved him not worried over what he did, all though at nights when he was sometimes away she did fear for him and long for his return. Her eyes sparkled as she looked up at him and rested his head on his strong shoulder "I trust your errands went well my love?" she said with a smile, deciding not to tell him that she wanted a baby just yet, that could wait for a little while, a better time. She gave a yelp when the small as the small furry creature scurried across the floor "What the heck was that?" she chuckled "have you brought home another pet love?" she asked not remembering if she had seen the little thing before.

Eliel - June 2, 2008 10:23 PM (GMT)
Eliel smiled happily as Silendra kissed him. She was a beauty of a drow, and he was lucky to have her. The two were to be married soon “Ah, they went perfectly. The man did an excellent job.” He smiled, patting the case he held. A thought crossed his mind. As a couple, they should not keep secrets from one another. And that meant he would have to spill his story at some point. The box he held was a golden opportunity to do so.

“I’ve been off having a bit of my past brought back. An old friend of mine owed me a favor. Now, this particular favor had a bit of gold attached to it, but it was well worth it.” Eliel grinned as she yelped at the sight of the fur fur. “Ah, I forgot. This is Roy, a handsome young fellow I met on my travels. He’s glad to guard the house for me.” Eliel picked him up and handed him to Silendra. Roy gave a wheezing bark and sniffed her, excited.

Eliel knelt down and undid the clasps on the box, laying it down on it’s side to open it. With a deep breath, he opened it and painted a smile on his face, memories rekindled by the thing.

From it’s bed, Eliel lifted a sheathed scimitar, Carved from ebony, obsidian, and the finest steel in the underdark. The weapon was presented to his family for a favor for lolth, taken up by his older bother, Atiel. In his last moments, Eliel had shattered the blade.

“This is the my family’s blade, beautiful and deadly. Surely you recognize it for what it is, a symbol of recognition. It was used by my brother, broken by my own hand. An old smith friend reforged it for me.” Eliel looked at it, then at his wife.

“Now that my brother is gone, by my own hand, it is mine by right. And I intend to give it a chance to make good for it’s past deeds by defending the good, you, and any family of ours to come.” Eliel held his breath, wondering what her reaction would be. While he waited, he seized the hilt and pulled the blade from it’s decorated scabbard, blued by flame in an artistic fashion. The black metal of it’s blade shone with a dark light, beautifully curved, but the back of the blade was serrated. The ebony snake carving, wrapped around the handle of the scimitar, was warm under his fingers, staring at nothing with shimmering obsidian eyes, a thread of gold winding about it.

Silendra - June 4, 2008 08:30 PM (GMT)
Silendra ran her eyes over the blade as Eliel showed it to her, it was truly a magnificient and impressive blade, a sort of family heirloom of sorts which Eliel had now claimed. She was silent for a few more minutes before responding "That is a fine blade Eliel, it will protect us well. So you took it from your brother after you destroyed it, upon being sent away I presume. But you were able to claim it so it is rightfully yours," she said. Her eyes ran over the blade as Eliel drew it out of its scabbard and she examined it with interest "Yes, I recognize such a blade as a symbol of family recognition but does that mean your family accepts you?" she was curious as to what the blade would ultimately mean for them and their family to come. "Each family has its own heirloom or symbol, my family, the Lyandri has an heirloom of its own." She reached over to the desk and drew forth a longbow carved with entricate patterns of silver laced with gold, the bow itself was made from the finest oak to make it strong yet flexible "this bow has originally the bow of Luinara, the founder of my family. It is traditionally passed by from mother to daughter through the generations. My own mother passed it on to me before I left the Drow City, she recognized me as her legitimate daughter, which of course I was, and passed the heirloom on. But I was forced to leave the Drow City as things got increasingly more violent between my family and a rival family who my father was always been at odds with."

Eliel - June 24, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
Eliel ran a finger along the bow's wood and smiled. “A fine weapon.” He grinned and kissed her. Eliel had never actually seen her use a bow. It made him wonder if she knew how to use it very well. Oh well. He knew people who could help her along.

Eliel smiled at her. “So when shall we be wed?” He asked softly, hugging her to him. It was then when he realized she had mentioned his being sent away, banished from Menzoberranzan. Not many knew the details of his misadventures, and he didn't recall telling her the whole story yet.

“How did you know I was banished? I could have gotten away with it. It happens often in the underdark.” He was growing somewhat suspicious now. He loved her with all his heart, but perhaps it was time they told each other who they were truly.

Eliel was not looking forward to revealing whom he had been. It was behind him now, but mortals had an unfortunate tendency to see you for what you've done, not who you are now or can become.

Eliel Lowered his head momentarily, going to set his blade on his desk and returning to her. “I love you, Sil.”

Silendra - June 26, 2008 01:11 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled softly at Eliel "Yes it is a fine weapon, it holds the heritage of my family. Legend says that when the bow is loosed by a daughter of my line the twang of the bow sings a song of the history of my family. I hope to be able to pass it on to a daughter of my own someday," as she said this she drew close to Eliel. Her face darkened a little when Eliel asked of how she knew he had been banished and she looked down for a moment "Well, it is unfortunately common knowledge in the Under Dark. It seems that although your family wished to keep it quiet, to cover the shame that they felt, someone found out and spread the knowledge of your banishment purely to cause trouble among the families. There was much fighting in the Drow City as a result, some believed that your family had acted rashly to banish you. Others believed that it had been a long time coming, things in the Drow City are...dangerous to say the least. Someone spread a rumour which caused a feud between my family and the Kyliad family and as you will know, our people do not let go of petty hatreds easily."

She blushed when he kissed her "The truth is I was initially sent to kill you but when I saw you in person I...I fell in love. Seeing you face to face and being out here made me see that the petty squabbles of my father and the rival families had nothing really to do with me. Let them fight over their toughtless hatreds, I intend to make a life for myself, away from all that nonsense. Here is the truth Eliel, plain and simple. I used to live as an assassin, killing for money. It was the only way I could survive after my family threw me out for siding with you after your banishment. But when I met you Eliel, I put that life aside. I felt with you I make something more, something far better."

Eliel - June 26, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
Eliel smiled, mind consumed by thought of his love stabbing him in the back. Sure enough. The only other loves he had were attempts on his life, and that was after being banished. He bit his lips and chuckled nervously. He had hope here. All the other were started out with murder in mind. After all, what could he expect? His actions caused quite a stirring in the underdark. It had shown that males could do what females could.

Eliel had quite literally gone insane, had genuinely lost who he was. His actions had made him kill the matron mother of his house, slice open and string up his own brother in the center of town. Yes, these things usually draw some attention. Unwelcome, in this case.

In all truth, he wasn't too surprised. One of his previous lovers had been engaged to him. For eliel, this step was the hardest time. If he married this woman, it would mean it was over. His life would be completely behind him.

Eliel smiled at her reassuringly. “Don't feel bad. I wasn't perfect.” He began chuckling at that. “I was like most drow, which in itself sets me back quite a bit.” He smiled nervously. “I went insane. I... well... killed off most of my family and left, had several attempts on my life. I'll tell you now...” He smiled at her.

“You could have killed me that day in the desert. I thought you were a mirage, a result of too much time in the heat and too long since i'd seen a beautiful woman.” Eliel chuckled. He looked at her eyes and put a hand on her cheek.

Silendra - June 27, 2008 11:31 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled back at him, resting her head on his shoulder "Yes I could have killed you Eliel and I am trained to do so but I could not, I just simply could not draw my blade upon you. When I looked upon you, something moved inside me. I did not understand what it was at the time Eliel but I do now," she gave a happy sigh "I feel in love Eliel. With the handsome one before me." SHe looked up into his eyes "From a young age I was trained to be an assassin, trained to kill. Taught the art of silence and dissapearing like smoke in the wind, of tracking without being seen. But now, now I feel that with you I can have a new life, a better life away from the Under Dark, somewhere I can finally be safe." SHe looked up at Eliel as she spoke "I love you Eliel, now and until the very sun fades from the sky."

Eliel - June 27, 2008 03:55 PM (GMT)
Eliel felt reassured by her words and looked into her eyes. Roy struggled over and rested on the study chair. Eliel chuckled at the furfur and rested his forehead against Silendra's. “I hope you know I'm not too good at this romantic talk. But here...” He hugged her close and kissed her, taking joy as he thought about marrying this woman.

Eliel broke away after a while and smiled at her. “I love you, Sil. And I swear to protect our family. Which brings us to a new subject...” Eliel looked out the window and back at Silendra, with a twinkle in his eye.

“After our wedding... I want a child.” Eliel braced himself for whatever comments would come after that. Gwen perked her ears up and came up the stairs, from the bedroom. Only Eliel could see her and the cat looked highly amused.

Eliel did the manly thing and stuck his tongue out at the panthress.

Silendra - June 30, 2008 09:25 PM (GMT)
Silendra blushed as Eliel kissed her, but she loved it all the same. She was still getting used to the fact that she was loved and that someone actually wanted to be with her after all this time. She smiled and kissed her back, burrowing into his hug, when he said that he wanted a child her cheeks went red and she gave a shy chuckle "I thought you would never ask Eliel, that same thought has been on my mind for awhile now. I too would love a child, and I am able, ready and willing to bear you one when you decide that it is time. You shall find that I am well ready to bear your child Eliel, it is a gift I am eager to recieve." She smiled at him and rested her head on his shoulder. From her shoulder came a soft hissing and a rustling from beneath a lock of her hair and the orange head of a smaller sort of snake poked its head out, flicking its tongue and examining him.

Eliel - June 30, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
Eliel laughed in joy as she spoke and hugged her, eyes shut. The hiss alerted him and he jerked his head away from it. “Hello there.” He eyed it carefully, an eyebrow cocked. “Sil, you do realize theres a snake in your--? Nevermind. Anyway, we should have it after we're wed. Which i've set up. We can have it right after the tournament. See, i've joined.” He chuckled nervously, wondering how she would react to his joining a tournament that could mean his death if something went slightly wrong.

Eliel thought about it for a moment. He wanted a boy, a man to follow his own footsteps. He could teach the boy to use the blade, and eventually receive the Blade of the house Usreanac. Eliel chuckled at the thought, a young drow boy in his household, running about wildly.

Eliel's thoughts returned to Silendra and he smiled simply.

“Soon enough, my dear. After this tournament, nothing can stop us being together.

Silendra - June 30, 2008 09:58 PM (GMT)
Silendra's brow furrowed for a moment "A snake?" then she remembered and grinned "Oh you mean Luhan here?" she held out a hand and the snake slithered out onto it, curling up and flicking his tongue lazily "I bought him from the pet shop recently. Don't worry he's not poisonous and only little compared to some of the ones they were selling, but I thought a snake the size of an Python might be a little too much." She smiled and kissed his cheek "You will compete in this tournament, whatever tournament it is and then we shall be wed and I bear your child." She did not know what type of means of a tournament Eliel spoke of but she trusted him, he would be fine.

Eliel - June 30, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
Eliel eyed the snake warily. Poisonous or not, he didn't like being bitten. “Right.” He looked at it and moved forward to try and kiss the serpent with a laugh, but couldn't quite do it. He chuckled at the thought of kissing the little snake and looked at roy. “Here, Roy.” He called and the ball of fur twitched where it sat and scuttled over to Eliel's side, barking it's sad, wheezing bark.

Eliel picked it up and brought it level with the snake. “Roy, luhan. Luhan, roy. No biting.” He said simply and set Roy on his shoulder. The furfur seemed to deflate, asleep on his shoulder. Even if he bent over, the ball would not budge.

Eliel shrugged and brushed him onto the couch and looked at sil for a second before sweeping her up into his arms. “Very well, then. But if we're to have a child, we may need a bigger home.” He smiled sweetly.
