
- Dreamwalk
Part illusion, part memory, the Dreamwalk spell is quite literal in its function. Entering a near-comatose state, the user is able to step inside the dreams of a person within ten yards of himself. Physical contact makes the transference easier, and once inside a subject's dreams the caster is able to see what they see and hear what they hear. He enters as a manifestation of himself, though he is able to subtly alter his appearance.
The caster has only minor influence within the dreamscape. He can observe, but any change he wishes to impart remains a contest of wills against the dreamer, one which is heavily stacked in favor of the dreamscape's original inhabitant. Nonetheless, in this realm a person's deepest memories and subconscious desires are laid bare, and used for the right purposes such intrusion can be a potent tool.
It is also a dangerous one. For the uninvited, dreamwalking is an art in and of itself, and it is easy to get lost in the dreams of another, to the disastrous decay of the body one has left behind.
