Title: Familiar (Feat).

Avree - May 11, 2008 10:28 PM (GMT)
On the Familiar Feat I was wondering if I could have a spider instead of one of the ones listed. A spider would fit my character more.

Of course you can, you could even have a poisonous one similar to the one in the small pet shop. ^_^

Thank you Ace.

Yes, as long as it is one of the following spiders and you are very careful not to metagame or godmod the effects of the poisonous one if you so choose it.

Alright. That works. The most I'd have the poison do is numbness in the area that it bit. Over time, slowly spreading throughout the body. Which would make a person not be able to use the limb closest to the bite wound.

Ex: Poisonous Spider bites his victim in the left arm, releasing the poison into his victims blood. The victim starts to feel a tingling sensation in their arm. As the poison spreads throughout his arm it begins to become numb. After a couple minutes, the victim loses all feeling in his arm, causing him to lose the use of it for around an hour.

That work?

If you want the poison to do that, feel free, but that really has nothing to do with metagame or godmod the effects of the poisonous one. You can say it went to bite so and so etc. and what would happen if it did poison them, but you can not say that so and so was bitten and the poison did such and such to them. See the difference?

I know. I was just using that as an example for fighting NPC's.

As I said, that's fine, it's just that poisonous creatures are often misused so I wanted to make sure you were aware of it before you started so you don't get in trouble later! ^_^

I thank you for that AD.
