Title: An Unexpected Meeting
Description: {Shadeen only please}

Silendra - April 25, 2008 03:04 AM (GMT)
Silendra strolled along the lane in the small village of Kellen, she had never been here before and it was her curiousity that had made her come here. Her panther, Shadow, padded along at her side lilke he always did, keeping a protective eye over his mistress. It was doubtful that she was in any danger here but one never knew and Shadow seemed to sense this, staying close to her and scanning the lane ahead with his luminesent eyes, looking for any sign of trouble. In the even that anyone tried to waylay her Silendra could defend herself very well with her sword and Shadow would leap to her defence as well with fangs bared and claws extended.

Shadeen - April 26, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
Shadeen skipped happily along the roads of Kellen, waving to the people she had gotten to know from her frequent visits to the great stables. Something about them just made her keep coming back. A basket was slung over her arm, and inside was a small gray kitten that slept happily in the blanketed carrier. At her waist a katana bumped her leg, but she didn’t seem to notice anymore, she had only brought it for the night travel. You never know. Mykel, a great snow leopard, trailed the girl and kitten. He was like a great protector, keeping his distance unless needed or called. Shadeen caught a glimpse of someone up ahead and she waved happily to them as well, known or not.

Silendra - April 27, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
Silendra caught the smile and wave of the figure up and ahead and waved back, trotting forwards to meet her "Hello," she called out as she got nearer, her panther, Shadow trotting along at her side "My name is Silendra, who are you?" she smiled broadly, she hadn't made any friends so hoped to make a good impression on this one, she needed friends "I saw that wave, it was very friendly of you."

Shadeen - April 27, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
((OoC: Sorry for any spelling/grammer mistakes, I don't have word on this computer so I'm just typing it out))

Shadeen's eyes smiled and danced, people usually only waved back wanting to continue on with their day uninterupted. Shadeen was happy that someone had said hello and was looking for a conversation and she wasn't one to turn away company. "Hello," Shadeen returned the girl's smile, noticing the panther that trailed behind her. "I'm Shadeen," She offered her hand for a shake before she introduced the rest of her party, much like family to her now. "This is Dante," She indicated the kitten in the basket, "And that's Mykel," She motioned to the snow leopard behind her. "Who's your friend?" Shadeen smiled at the pathern. She adored cats, and animals of any kind really.

Silendra - April 27, 2008 02:16 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled warmly at Shadeen and shook her had in friendly greeting, she smiled as she was introduced to her snow leopard, she too had always admired cats. She peeked a look at Dante "Awww he's adorable," she said and tentatively reached in and scratched him under the chin and hoped that Shadeen wouldn't mind. When she refered to her panther, she smiled again "His name is Shadow, he is a loyal one. Always keeping an eye on me," she said with a soft laugh "I see you like cats too, the are such magestic animals. I really like all animals really, I am a little scared the really big things like Dragons and Gryphons though," she admitted.

Shadeen - April 27, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
Dante let out a little yawn when Silendra scratched him under the chin, but he settled back in place and a low purr came from him. "Looks like he likes you." Shadeen said with a smile. She looked over at Shadow, admiring the panther. Cats were always so wonderful, so lithe and beautiful. "Oh?" Shadeen looked back at Silendra. "I love all animals. Dragons, and Fairies, and Unicorns!" Excitement crept into her voice. "I love to watch them and learn about them and hopefully become their friend." Shadeen smiled a little at Silendra, "I am scared of Bees though." She laughed.

Silendra - April 27, 2008 09:04 PM (GMT)
Silendra smiled softly at her again and continued scratching Dante under his chin, making his purring grow louder "That is good then," she said with a soft laugh and listened to what she had to say "hmm, I would have to agree. There is something slightly unsettling about bees." When she said she loved all animals, Silendra gave a broad friendly grin, "Me too! They are just so magestic, cats are my favourite," she said motioning to Shadow who sat at her side, swishing his tail absentmindely whilst keepin an eye on the Snow Leopard, never having seen anything like it before. "So where are you off to?" Silendra asked warmly "and would you mind at all if I joined you?"

Shadeen - April 28, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Mykel seemed rather uninterested in the whole affair between the humans and he let his eyes wander to catch the passersby who turned their heads to watch the pair talk. Dante was quite content with his chin being scratched and ended up falling back asleep, his purr fading, replaced by his slow comfortable breathing. Shadeen smiled at the woman, if her cats didn’t mind her then Shadeen felt as though she could trust her. She thought about where she was heading although at this point she was just wandering around. “I’m not really going anywhere... But if you want to come I’m sure we could find adventure somewhere!” Shadeen clapped her hands together happily, she loved to explore.

Silendra - April 29, 2008 07:25 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled at her and took up pace at her side, she was beginning to like Shadeen and smiled again at the way she clasped her hands before her "Yes, I always have loved adventure," she said and winked at her "but I would like a friend to go adventuring with for a change." She smiled as Dante drifted off to sleep in the basket and stopped scratching his chin so the little cat could sleep. "So tell me a little about yourself Shadeen, is there a man in your life?" she asked with a grin, a typical subject which came up in the conversations between young women and she thought of Eliel, the man in her own life and smiled as they continued walking along "Where will we go adventuring Shadeen?"

Shadeen - April 29, 2008 05:42 PM (GMT)
Shadeen smiled, happy that she had a girl friend that she would be able to talk about all that clichéd stuff with. Unfortunately she didn’t really have that much information about the girly subjects. Shadeen slowly shook her head and looked back at Silendra. “No,” She smiled though showing it didn’t matter that much to her. “I don’t really have a man, but... I don’t really mind too much either. There are so many people in Imythess, so many places to go. I’d hate to be tied down right now.” Shadeen did want someone... eventually, just not yet. “What about you Silendra?” Shadeen stretched and wondered about Imythess. “Would you want to go visit the Volcano?”

Silendra - April 30, 2008 04:07 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled softly at her again "Yes," she answered "I do in fact have a man in my life at the moment. His name is Eliel and he is the best, but that certainly doesn't mean I can't go adventuring with my new friend." She beamed and gave Shadeen a shy half hug and then nodded enthuisiastically when she spoke of going to visit the Volcano "Oh yes, I would enjoy that. I have always been curious about the volcano." She walked along at her side, glad she had made a new friend in Shadeen and looked forward to adventuring withi her "Oh come on," she laughed with a playful smile "surely there must be some young man you have your eyes on or who has his eyes on you. You are very pretty Shadeen and I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few young men wishing for your attention," she said in a friendly way to her new friend "you never know."

Shadeen - April 30, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
Shadeen smiled when Silendra talked of Eliel, it was clear that she cared for him, but Shadeen was also glad that he wouldn’t be keeping the two girls from travelling together. Shadeen gave Silendra a hug back, happy for the easy conversation they had fallen into. It was nice to have a girl friend. Shadeen hadn’t realized how much she missed it. “Maybe we can see the lava!” Shadeen had grown excited now, wanting to get going on their adventure. At the same time she wanted to find a place to sit and get to know Silendra better.

Shadeen blushed at Silendra’s compliment; she couldn’t seem to stop herself. “I... I really don’t have anyone I’ve got my eye one,” She stumbled over the words. “Um I was interested in a man named Varonen, but as it seems the men in my life have slowly faded away.” Shadeen laughed a little, “Not that we were ever even together.”

Silendra - May 1, 2008 07:57 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled warmly at her new friend and was glad that she returned the hug, she didn't want to too pushy but she was really glad she had made a friend "Oooh that would be wonderful," she said, becoming excited about their adventure herself. She nodded as she listened to Shadeen's comment and gave her a friendly pat on the back "Never mind about that, the good ones are the ones who will stick around," she said and smiled in a friendly way at her friend "besides," she laughed "who needs men? We women can do fine by ourselves, we have our own fun." She would also like to know Shadeen more and a thought came to her "Hey Shadeen?" she asked "maybe we could get something to eat at the Green Gryphon, you know, a girls dinner." She chuckled at the idea and hoped Shadeen would agree.

Shadeen - May 1, 2008 04:00 PM (GMT)
Shadeen laughed at Silendra’s comment, but she was right... who needs men? Shadeen smiled. “I couldn’t agree with you more. Besides I think I’ll know when the right one comes around, and until then why not just have a little fun with the girls?” Shadeen nudged her friend playfully and looked up at the morning sky. It was bright blue and the sun had warmed the air, but a gentle breeze kept the heat from being overwhelming.

Shadeen smiled and clapped her hands. “Oh that’s a great idea. It’s been awhile since I’ve been out for dinner!” Shadeen laughed again and thought of all the things they might do. She started walking again, heading this time for the Green Gryphon. “And it’s still early in the day so no drunkards... I hope.” Shadeen smiled again. Shadeen wanted to ask her friend things but she decided that it could wait until they were both sitting and enjoy each other’s company. Then she could tell her about her plans for the future. “How long have you and Eliel been together?” Shadeen asked, smiling even more.

Silendra - May 4, 2008 03:40 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled broadly "Exactly! Guys can wait, us girls have got to have fun too," she laughed and nudged her back, equally playfully. She smiled again as she led her towards the Green Gryphon and she smiled a third time in reponse to her comment about finding the right one "That it will Shadeen, we will just come along and sweep you off your feet when you least expect it. It often happens like that," she said and when her new friend asked how long she and Eliel had been together she grinned broadly "About a month now." She hugged her friend, glad to finally have a girlfriend she could talk to "Don't worry Shadeen, you like me are young. You have ages to choose a man," she said, deliberately inflecting on the word ages playfully. She too wanted to ask and speak to Shadeen about many things but that could wait until they were at the Green Gryphon.

Shadeen - May 17, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
Shadeen moved happily in the direction of the Green Gryphon. She was so happy with having a friend, but they had bonded so quickly it was odd for her. She was almost in a dream-state unsure if she was going to wake up at any moment. For some reason she just knew it was real though and that seemed to make her even dreamier.

“A month...” Shadeen pondered it over. It wasn’t very long but it seemed strong just by the way Silendra spoke of him. And that was all that mattered, not how long they had been together. Shadeen hugged her friend. “Well I hope you guys last a long time,” She smiled happily and made her way down the streets of Kellen. She continued to wave to the people who passed her. Shadeen was happy with the silence, it didn’t feel awkward to her instead it felt natural.

Silendra - May 17, 2008 04:45 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled, trotting along at her friend Shadeen's side. She was very glad she had made a friend, her first real friend in Imythess and she smiled broadly when she hugged her. But she was curious as to know a bit more about her new friend as they walked along to the Green Gryphon "So tell me a little about yourself Shadeen," she asked "what do you like doing besides adventuring, got any good gossip?" She laughed warmly and hugged her friend again, hey a girl was allowed to hug her newest friend wasn't she? Silendra smiled as she noticed Shadeen waving to everyone, she was obviously a very friendly young woman.

Shadeen - May 17, 2008 05:40 AM (GMT)
Shadeen didn’t return the hug this time but gladly accepted it. She was thinking about herself and what she should tell her new friend. “Alright well I come from a little village, very common nothing special. I love animals, horses and cats the most. I have a dream.” Shadeen gave Silendra a sly smile before she continued. “I want to run my own farm here in Imythess. I was thinking about having it in this very village. I already know someone who would be glad to help me out with it. Of course it will start out small and from there I’ll have to expand it but hey it’s something. I’ll have to move out of my house in Istan though. As much as I love the desert city there’s nothing there for me anymore.”

“What about you?”

Silendra - June 2, 2008 09:13 AM (GMT)
Silendra smiled warmly "Me too! I love cats and horses, they're just such loyal animals," he smiled "you know Shadeen, I am glad we are friends. I finally have sometime to talk to things about." She listened intently when she told her of her dream and her smile grew broader "That is a wonderful dream, and if you ever need a hand I would be glad to help in anyway." When her new friend asked her of her own dream she smiled and thought for several moments "Well it might sound silly but my dream is to have a little garden, with trees and flowers, a pool in the middle where I can sit beside in the sun and rest." She smiled at her friends "I have just always liked growing things, oh I hope Eliel will let me have it, but I shall even if he doesn't," she winked at Shadeen and looked up to see they were already before the Green Gryphon "Wow, I was enjoying talking with my new friend so much that I hadn't noticed that we were here. I know my dream is only small but it is just a little something I really want you know?" she said and smiled again at her friend.

Shadeen - June 16, 2008 08:17 PM (GMT)
”Yes it makes sense. My dream is small as well compared to other peoples. But it’s nice to have a dream come true.” Shadeen smiled at her friend then looked up at the door to the Green Gryphon. ”Shall we?”

Shadeen pushed open the door and entered the small tavern smiling. It was a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the day time, with no drinks around just people who rented rooms and liked to relax. Some, like Shadeen and Sil, had come to eat and talk.

”Where should we sit?”

Silendra - June 16, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
Shadeen smiled at her newfound friendly warmly and looked about the room, catching a glimpse of an empty table she tapped her friend lightly on the shoulder and gestured over to it "Theres a table, we might have to move quickly lest anyone take it before we get there." She moved towards the table, which conviently stood near the fireplace and tugged excitedly on her friends sleeve to hurry her along "Yes it is good to have a dream, it doesn't matter if it is a small one." She saw a man making a move for the table and in a feat of Drow altheletics she lept and landed in a chair before he could get there. Turning to look at the man she grinned "Sorry, this table's taken." She then waved Shadeen over and laughed "When you have been travelling for awhile, you learn that you have to be quick to get what you want," she smiled.

Shadeen - June 16, 2008 10:06 PM (GMT)
Shadeen laughed as Silendra snagged the table from the man. She sat down herself and offered a smile to the man who looked a little annoyed. “That was fun!” Shadeen laughed again and smiled at Silendra. The barkeeper walked over and smiled at the ladies.

“What would you girls like?”

“Oh I’ll have a water and ...” Shadeen thought about what she wanted to eat... she was really hungry and wasn’t sure what to get. “I’ll have some soup and some pie I think.” She then looked to Silendra, “What would you like?... my treat.”

Silendra - June 16, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
Silendra smiled "That it was, I wasn't going to let anyone deprive me and my friend of a table." She smiled sweetly at Shadeen then at the Barkeeper as they came over, she waited with a smile as Shadeen made her order and then spoke. Her voice was velvety smooth and possessed a musical tone in it, a characteristic of Drow women "I will have a water as well and the mince pie and chicken tart please." Having placed her order she looked back to Shadeen and smiled "I admire your dream my friend, it is an admirable one. We all need something to dream of, it makes life much more liveable." She knew she would have to tell Shadeen sooner or later, she did not want their friendship to grow on false terms which would only lead to trouble later. So she parted her hair to reveal her pointed ears and her eyes became slightly worried, thinking Shadeen might shun her when she learnt what she was, like so many did.

"Shadeen. I have something to tell you," she said, making her ears clearly visible "and I hope you will not think less of me. I..I am a Drow, it had not occured to me until now that you might not have noticed." She hung her head in sudden shyness, unusual for Silendra who was usually bright and slightly extroverted. But she had never had someone like Shadeen before, she had never had...a friend. She did not want their friendship to come to a premature end simply because she was a Drow, many people including the High Elves frowned upon Drows, treating them as less than important. Silendra mentally growled as she thought of the High Elves, so snooty and all important. They thought they were the bees knees, acting like they could say or do whatever they wished. They had slain many of her kin and commited other crimes against the Drow people. But she had never actually met one, hoping to keep it that way.

Shadeen - June 16, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
Shadeen leaned in closer to Silendra. “What is it?” Her eyes were wide and eager to hear what her new friend had to say. After she had finished talking Shadeen let out a little giggle. “Oh Silendra! Of course I don’t care.” She flashed her friend a brilliant smile. “I think it’s interesting that you’re a drow. I mean I’ve never met one before!” She giggled again and smiled happily before she moved her chair so that she was sitting next to Silendra. Shadeen threw her arms around the drow and gave her a hug and a friendly kiss on the cheek. “See! It doesn’t matter!”

Just as Shadeen dropped her arms a man opened the door to the tavern. His eyes quickly found the two girls and made his way over to them. The man was clearly an elf by his pointed ears and golden hair. His eyes were green with brown and gold flecks in them. He held himself high as thought he was more important than anyone else in the Tavern. Once he had arrived at the table he sat himself down next to Silendra and looped an arm around her shoulders.

“Hey cutie,” He was clearly making fun of her in the way he spoke.

Silendra - June 16, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
As the High Elf walked in and was so presumptious as to put his arm around her, Silendra's gaze cooled greatly and her eyes became dangerous. She shrugged him off and her hand instantly went to an arrow, she would not be able to fire it in here but she could use it as a dagger of sorts. "Get your filthy hands off me you High Elf," she said coldly, contempt for the High Elves clear in her voice. She dusted herself off, as if getting rid of some disease or dirt and her eyes narrowed as she looked at him "Scum such as you have no place anywhere near me. I can hear the tone in your voice, not a wise move to mock a Drow woman." She reached for a dagger which she kept in her boot and as she did so the High Elf slapped her butt and she growled under her breath "That is just like you and your kind, you are a disgrace to elves. You think that just because I am sitting here you can come over and have your way with me," he scowled and spat on his front "You have some nerve. After all that your kind have done to mine you come here, acting like you are all high and mighty. Like you can do whatever you please."

Silendra shot Shadeen an apologetic look then returned her gaze to the High Elf, kicking his chair and knocking him to the ground, she crouched and held her blade to his throat "I could kill you now High Elf pig but I do not wish to make a mess on this nice clean floor nor upset these people. You think that just because I am a Drow and a woman that you can push me around and use me as some common prostitute. Well, you just made the worst move you could," she nicked his arm with her blade "Someday, somehow, your kind will pay for what you did to us Drow."

Shadeen - June 16, 2008 11:26 PM (GMT)
((OoC: Lol XD))

“You’re a tiger aren’t you,” The high elf didn’t even seem to notice the knick on his arm.

Shadeen looked between the two of them unsure what to do at the moment since it seemed that Silendra could take care of herself, it made the girl admire the drow more. All she could do at this point was shake her head to let Sil know that she didn’t mind and to do what she had to do to get rid of this creep.

The high elf grabbed Sil’s arm that held the weapon and lifted it away from himself so that he was out of harm’s way for the moment. Then he planted a kiss on the drows lips. “I know you can’t resist baby,” He used his free hand to grab her around the waist and pull her in closer, and as he leaned in closer to her again his grip on her weapon and slackened. He was close enough that he could feel her breath on his skin. “Don’t tell me your already taken.”

Silendra - June 16, 2008 11:39 PM (GMT)
Silendra's eyes became slits and her fists clenched in anger, she put a false flirty tone in her voice to toy with the High Elf. Sure Drow woman could be spiteful at times but they could also be playful and calculating, she leaned in close to him and her voice was velvety soft "Oh you want something do you?" she smirked, coming closer she drew her face near to his. Her breath hot, hit his chin and he looked eager and expectant. But the look in Silendra's eyes was not one of flirtation but of a trick about to be sprung "Close your eyes big boy," she mock purred and smirked as he obliged "Here it comes." She then spat directly in his face, kicked him where it hurts and twisted her body to escape from his grasp. Grabbing his arm she twisted it behind his back and pushed him hard into the wall, she whispered in his ear "Not what you were expecting was it filth?"

He was clearly in pain as a result of how she gribbed his arm against his back "Just because I am a woman do not assume I am weak and defenceless. That you can simply have your way with me whenever you please," she cut a lock of his braided hair "I shall keep this as a trophy." It was in elven custom a great insult to cut off another's braid, which was a symbol of one's honour. Silendra kneed him in the small of the back and tossed him onto the floor "You obviously do not know that Drow women are just as strong as our men, and stronger in other ways. It is Drow women who lead," she kicked him in the gut "I could kill could now and rightly should," she waved the braid before his eyes "but I think the lost of your honour is punishment enough. But I warn you, try that again and we will see what colour the blood of a High Elf really is."

Shadeen - June 17, 2008 02:33 AM (GMT)
The high elf felt his braid get cut off and he turned to face the drow, unsure what to do next. But before he could even think any longer he got another beating and fell to the tavern floor. He scrambled backwards and hurried out the tavern door a look of fear in his eyes.

Shadeen clapped. “Wow Silendra that was amazing!” Shadeen had been laughing the whole time at the poor high elf but it had seemed to be lost among the interesting... debate between the drow and him. Shadeen smiled broadly at her friend and motioned to the seat beside her. Shadeen couldn’t seem to control her laughter so she just sat for a few moments trying to compose herself before she actually spoke. “Did you see him run?” She giggled again. “Where’d you learn to do that?”

Shadeen smiled at her friend and patted her on the back “Good job anyway,” Just as she spoke the bartender placed the orders in front of the two girls. Shadeen smiled at the man and settled in for some nice conversation.

Silendra - June 18, 2008 09:17 PM (GMT)
Silendra giggled and gave a little bow "Why thank you Shadeen. Well, a girl has to look out for herself." She sat back down next to her friend and smiled "How did I learn to do that? Well since I left my home in the Under dark I had to learn to fight in order to survive and send off creeps like that. It is not only goblins and others that will harm a girl travelling alone but also uncouth men and ones such as that High Elf. But I think he got a lesson he shant soon forget and will likely be soar for a long time yet." She winked at Shadeen and giggled "Yes, he took off like a hare being chased by a hound. Probably nearly wet himself in fright, but serves him right. I won't having him pushing me around, I am a respectable girl," he laughed and took Shadeen's hand in a purely friendly way "I could teach you some if you want Shadeen, it comes in handy."

Shadeen - June 20, 2008 03:37 PM (GMT)
Shadeen smiled at Silendra. “I agree, a girl should be able to protect herself where ever she might be,” She listened to where her friend had learned the moves that she had just displayed and nodded along. When Silendra took her hand Shadeen smiled at her, knowing the gesture to be friendly. Shadeen had become good with her sword, especially on horseback, but it might be nice to be able to defend herself without the aid of a weapon, although a stick could be used in the same way as a sword with less... hurtful results. “I think I would like that,"

Silendra - June 24, 2008 07:19 PM (GMT)
Silendra smiled and nodded to her friend "Yes that is right, girls like us should be ready to look after themselves at any moment. You never know when you might find yourself in a bit of trouble," she smiled again as Shadeen said she would like to learn some of her moves "Okay then, I will teach you some. They are not hard to learn but once you know them they can prove to be invaluable. But first let us have our meal and drinks and enjoy some quality time together." She smiled sweetly again and if one just arrived now they would have no clue that there had been a scuffle but moments before as Silendra had smoothed down here garments and straightened her hair and looked quite innocent as she shot Shadeen a wink "So what brings you to Kellen Shadeen? Do you live here or just travelling like I am?"
