Spike's little feet ran on the cobblestone. She moved quickly, dodging through crowds and market stands. Every now and then, her little hands stole a purse of two. No one noticed, of course, she was a master at what she does, even for a five year old kobold. She made it out of the crowds, but continued to run, dodging a few of the people. She soon skidded to a stop, and glanced about, her buggy eyes looking at a fruit stand, and her eyes seemed to glitter a moment, till she saw a noble ahead that had two bodyguards with him. He looked rich, and Spike's eyes seemed to glisten with water at the sight of his bulging pouch and the jangle of coins.
She put the two purses she stole into one of her pouches, then ran again, as if in a hurry. As she was passing by, she made herself trip, and fell into the much taller man, as she fell, she reached with a little hand to get the purse, but right then, one of the guards grabbed her by her shirt and cloak collar, and pulled her off the ground and held her up, as if she weighed nothing, which she barely did.
Spike's eyes went wide, and she squealed and struggled against the guards hold, but he held her tight.
"Lemme go!" She sqweaked. She tried clawing at his hands, but he wore heavy gloves. Finally, she gave up struggling, and just hung there, glaring at the guard with her buggy eyes. "No fair..." She mumbled.
The guard set her down, but still held a firm grip on the small kobold, and he spoke to the noble a moment, to take Spike to a cell. She grumbled under her breath, even when the guard started to lead her away. When they were walking down a near empty street, her fingers gripped her hidden dagger, and she twisted in the guards grips and pulled her dagger out, and stabbed the guards leg. He yelled out in surprise, and pain, and he let go of Spike. She smiled at her handiwork, and then turned and ran off quickly, her mind already forgetting about getting caught.
((LoL! Nightwind you’re insane... but I need gold XD))
Lilith’s hand caught the shoulder of the running girl that dashed out of the alleyway. It wasn’t hard to push the girl backwards so they she ended up sitting on the ground. The thing barely weighed a pound, and she even shocked Lilith with her feather weight. Once the girl was safely (unable to run away) upon the ground Lilith leaned down and gazed at her.
She had seen this scamp dodging between the crowds, grabbing a little something for herself as she went. Lilith had been in the midst of buying a new necklace when she noticed the girl snatch a few coins from the man beside her. Excusing herself from the merchant she checked her own pockets only to discovered that the girl had indeed taken a coin or two from her as well. She was fast, and Lilith had to be quick to keep her in sight. Finally the opportunity to confront the small girl came in an escape from the alley.
“I believe you have something of mine...” Lilith held out her hand expectantly and wiggled it back and forth, bidding the girl to give back the gold she had stolen. “I believe you took about 20 pieces hmm?” If she wouldn’t cooperate Lilith had ways of convincing her to, although she wouldn’t just assume the girl would deny the claim of theft. In fact Lilith could see the guard limping back towards the two of them.
Without a waiting for the girl’s response her fingers snaked out and wrapped around the girl’s wrist, hauling her up to her feet. Lilith practically dragged the girl along the streets, weaving through the crowds until she had lost sight of the guard and felt they were far enough away that it would take him some time to find the girl. Lilith pulled her into another alley and sat her down again. “Now, that guard will come back eventually and if you want to be out of here before he comes back I suggest you give me back my gold.”
