Title: Dangers Around Every Corner

Nightwind - February 11, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
"May the gods watch over you, as you fall into hell." Her cruel angered voice said, as her blade stabbed into the heart of the assassin. The man clad in black instantly went limp, and deathly pale. She yanked the blade from the assassin, and the body fell to the ground. Sava dropped to one knee, and wiped the blade onto the black clothes of the man. Sighing, she stood up again, and turned away from the body.

She was in a small room, that she had taken for the night at the Purple Lantern tavern. She hated the crampness of it, but it suited her needs of trying to rest, sadly, she didn't get much of it with an assassin coming to kill her. There was a cot on one side, and a small table with a chair. Her bags were near the door, which was only one small bag, her bag of holding. And there was two weapons. Her blade of lightning, and spirit blade. Two throwing daggers, a golden dagger. And then her leather armor.

She went over to her equipment, and dropped her blade of air, and started putting her armor over her traveling clothes. Once that was on, she started putting her weapons on. The blade of lightning and air, was placed on her sides, one on each. Her large spirit blade on her back. She clipped a throwing dagger on one of her knee high boots, and then the other one, on her other boot. She slipped the dagger in her belt. Then she picked up the small bag, and tied it unto her belt. All equipped now, she went to the door, and went out it, and into a cramped hallway. It was still late, and so the sky was dark with night, but it was late enough that no one was around the tavern, besides the others who got a room for the night, and then the night tender, just a man who watched the tavern at night. She went down the stairs, and when she reached the bottom, she noticed the watchmen was sleeping in a chair, and was snoring loudly.

She ignored the man, and made her way to the door, and left the tavern, out into the chill air of winter. She turned left, heading for the gates, now wanting to go home to rest. She wanted to take it easy for a while ,since she had a big quest coming up in a week, and needed to relax a little, who knows how long this journey would take to the mountains and all that. She sighed. Why did she want to go? Just for money? Ha! God knows how much she has already hoarded, since it was basically in a dragons nature to hoard gold.

She turned down another street, and suddenly stopped. Up ahead was Felix, her dark umbra, and he had chains and nets over him. He clawed and growled at his captors, who was four men with swords, and wearing leather armor, all appearing to be human. Felix saw her and started trying to fight for freedom even harder.
Help. He sent to her telepathecally.

Right away, Sava pulled out her blade of lightning and strode forward.

"Let my umbra go. If you know whats good for you." She snapped angrily at the group of men. Two turned to stare at her, while the others strained to keep the umbra down.

"We found it first. Its ours." One of the men said.

"Fools. You'll pay for harming my friend." She growled, then pointed her sword at the nearest man, and mumbled a word of magic, and right away, and bolt of lightning shot from the tip, and hitting the man dead in the chest. He went flying back, and unto the street with a loud crack, and laid motionless. Most likely dead. She turned her cold gaze to the others. "Let Felix go." She commanded. And they did, not wanting the same fate to befall them as it did their friend. Once the umbra was free, they ran for it. Sava sheathed her weapon, then fell to her knees, the umbra came to her side, and she stroked Felix's fur.

"Sorry about that, Felix. I guess I shouldn't have had you wander off. To many dangers in the world." The dragon woman said, then stood up.

isto mirshann - March 13, 2008 07:50 AM (GMT)
Isto dashed around, trying to escape his pursuers. Three drow mercenaries. Isto had been fleeing from the drow kind for quite a while now since he was wanted. Lolth, goddes of the drow wanted him dead for what he had done...but he didnt have any intentions of dying yet. This kind of situation was common for him, running from assassins.

Unfortunatly these where faster than planed...he might need to kill them.

cha'kohkev oolos...ka ol zhah ulu el dos detholar, t'yin streea zhah vel'bol usstan zhal balbau!
(cursed fools...if it is to die you choose, then death is what i shall grant!)

The man hissed these words in his birth tongue as he aproached a crossroad.
He saw a flash and a few screams, but nothing much...at this rate they would catch up to him right at that place...

xsa...
(damn...)he thought.

Once at the crossroads, Isto saw the two persons there, turning his head he saw a blade coming straight for his face.
Stoping his "race", Isto ducked under the blade swipe and sent a viscious punch to the assassins stomach. He then took out his blades and slamed them down straight into the mans Juggular veins.

Blood started to spurt everywhere as Isto took out his blades, spinning them around, he barely was able to block the hit from the second man. He attempted to counter but this one seemed more experimented than the first.
After ducking under another blow, the young drow peirced his enemies elbow and took the blade out the same instant. The pain was so great, the mercenary droped his sword and grabed his elbow with his other arm, giving Isto the oportunity to sink his simple dagger down the back of his neck.

The night angel then looked around for the final follower...but all he could see was the two strangers...

Vel'klar ph'dos....dos draa! tlu kyone, nindol nesst orn naut shar elggin vassnten...
(Where are you....you two! be carefull, this man won't hesitate to kill innocents)

Erin Shander - March 15, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
Erin walked down the street of the dark town, she did not like this place but she had to be here. Most people did not mind her and she hidded herself well with the help of her cloak. There was so much death in this city, and so much darkness and evil. She took a deep breath and walked around a corner, she arrived to the place where Isto was, she stoped right in front of one of the dead men. She quickly took a stepp backwards and was very close to scream, but she did not.

She looked up and noticed the one that had done all this. She really had bad luck to run into a killer in this town, not that it was full with them but still.

((Not much but itīs more then nothing))

Bastian - March 16, 2008 10:19 PM (GMT)
Bastian got lost since there was so many poeple in the streets near Kannon's burning Mansion. He had also lost Alice from sight too. Where could she have gpne. The eternal darkness in this town was far to get the task of looking and searching easy for him. So he continue, knowing that mpst people in this town knew to see in the darkness.

The outworlder wandered around and saw corpses lying here and there. What happened around here? He ran, nervous he did not wanted to end like them. He then saw a beast in front of him. A giant feline that he did not know the type and in front of him a woman with black hair. "Oh, excuse me but what happened around here? Those corpses..."

Vel'klar ph'dos....dos draa! tlu kyone, nindol nesst orn naut shar elggin vassnten...

What was that language, he wondered. He turned to the origin of the voice and saw a dark elf. Drow. It was understandable to see one of them here. It could make remind them of the underworld. Could he speech common?

She looked about and sighed a moment, wishing she'd brought Jenna with her. Oh well, she didn't need a horse to get her back home, Sava could easily just fly, but it would be a slight problem with Felix with her, but she'd find a way. She looked into the sky wondering where Blackquill would be, but knew the fly dragon would be fine, as long as it didn't get in trouble. She walked started walking till a noise got her attention, she stopped abruptly, and looked around, and saw a man who appeared to be human. She stared at him with her penetrating dark stare, as if she was looking through the man.

"Oh, excuse me but what happened around here? Those corpses..."

She turned her gaze to the man she had killed with her lightning bolt, and wondered if she should tell the truth, or just lie. Lying was always good if she didn't want more guards coming after her, but she hated lying all the time, it wasn't a good habit. Before she could answer, a new voice called out to them.

Vel'klar ph'dos....dos draa! tlu kyone, nindol nesst orn naut shar elggin vassnten...

She cocked her head slightly. She knew drow, as well as other elf languages. She looked at the drow and then looked around again, trying to see in the dark better. Who was the elf talking about, which man. Obviously this drow was being chase,d or something of the sort. She noticed a couple bodies by the drow, and her curiosity grew.

She turned to the human who showed up first. "Obviously it looks like the corpses were killed. I killed one... that one." She said, and nodded towards the far off one, who looked like he was electrocuted. She stared at the body again, then she looked at the drow.

"Vel'uss zhah l'uss dos telanth d'nindel won't hesitate ulu elgg udossa? ((Who is the one you speak of that won't hesitate to kill us?))" She asked the drow. Sure, she wasn't the best at drow, mainly because her friend Belana was only half-drow and didn't know much of the language, but taught Sava all she knew, and then the dragon learned more on her travels.
