Title: Disturbed night

Sigmund - February 9, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
Sigmund had been authorized a very serious job. He will keep the gate for the night while looking around for anything suspicious. He was walking at the top of the wood wall. How long before he receive an official mission? He could not wait.

His father, he wanted make mke him so proud. Night slowly passed but actions was stil in the camp. As regulars things drinking and brawls were now things to take less care of. But it's seems that the people were getting quite interested. It's seems to be a particular fight.

He turned around with fear in his mind when he realized where the fight was. It was no small fight, since it was in the chief's house and no fights are allowed in there. And there was not only one man fighting but a whole bunch of people.

Before the young man leave towards the main building in the camp, he opened the gates as an escape plan if things were going out of hand. With his staff in hands, he rushed inside the building.

He suddenly stopped when he saw his father fighting both Chazz and Bob. The two man were no match for the bandit's leader. The daggers and the broadsword was colliding with the spear. when the sword clashed with the halbard. Sigfried knocked away Chazz with his elbow.

The traitrous bandit layed on the floor knocked out, or seem to be. As Siegfried knocked down the partner, Chazz woke up took back his sword and striked it down in the back of his leader. "NOOOO!" Yelled the young man as he saw his father's blood dripping on the floor.

Chazz turned to the crowd of criminals. "Now, that i have defeated our leader Siegfried! I'm the boss, ya hear me? Bring me his son. And shall grant you something that may interest you."

Teased by such offer, the bandits turned to the young newly made orphan. Sigmund dashed outside and jumped off the baclcony. He slowled down his fall by holding a rope but still the landing was too hard for his left leg. He hubbled towards the exit. But the traitors could ran, so they were catching him fast enough.

He felled to the ground while hitting a rock with his foot, he turned around to see a andits with his sword raised to strike it down.

Fios - February 10, 2008 04:59 AM (GMT)
Fios had been wandering the forest for many hours, avoiding pathways, and roads, as if he wanted to get lost, but he just wanted time for his own thoughts, though, a forest wasn't very good for him, as it brought back the terrible memories of when he saw Sava change into her dragon form for the first time. It was a frightening experience for him. He knew something was different about her, but didn't expect her to be a full blooded dragon, dragons which he fears. But forests were calm, and it was a calm night. One would normally stop for the rest of the night, instead of wandering about it, one could never know of the dangers, and Fios had no idea at all that he was heading towards a bandits camp, till he saw torch lights up ahead. A wall. And shouting, almost like a brawl or something had happened.

Silently, the former knight made his way towards the place, slowly. He stepped on some twigs, ,but other then that, he was quiet. After all, he was an elf, and able to see well out in the darkness. When he got close, he show the gates were slightly opened, and wondered why. Normally, gates aren't open at night either.

He put the hood of his cloak up, shadowing his elven features, and identity. Anyone would want to get the money that the guards have for his capture. He rested his hand on the elegant two-handed longsword, just to be cautious, in case he needed it, though, he had no intentions of using it tonight, but he had no intention of coming to a bandits camp anyway. He reached the side of the wooden wall, and crept to the gate, and peered out into the camp, seeing the mob of bandits, that seemed to have killed the leader, and Fios was quite disgusted at that thought. He would never turn on a leader, especially his captain, who had runned the academy, Fios had respected him, till death took him.

He watched them, hoping no one would notice him.

He saw the young boy trying to escape, but fell, and a bandit about to strike. Suddenly, Fios ran through the gate, and towards the fallen boy, and bandits. Dumb move. Yes. But right now, Fios couldn't care. He pulled his long beautiful sword from its scabbard. A bandit who saw his oncoming, ran to strike him down, lifting a odd saber, and slashing at the elf. Fios raised his sword to block, and rammed his blade against the others, jarring the mans arm, for Fios block had a lot of strength in it. Then, Fios raised his sword again, and lunged forward, his blade running easily through the bandits body. The man fall instantly to the ground with a thud.

Fios didn't bother himself further with the now dead bandit, and ran to help the boy, even as mor ebandits came towards him. Luckily, Fios wasn't afraid. His fought in a war, and had much worse then this. Why would a band of bandits be more frightening then a dragon? They couldn't, so he went fearlessly.

Sigmund - February 10, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
Before the stranger came to his help, he thougth he was done for. But eveything passed by quickly. A cloaked man enterd the gates and attacked the bandits. The sounds of the swords clashing on one and other proved to be stronger then the young Sigmund.

He was barely standing up and was using his metal staff as a substitue for his injured leg. If he had the time, he would have looked in his journal the spell of healing he have learned from one of his father's friends.

The thougth about the fallen Siegfried made him mad. Really mad, but he was in no way to fight and surely he was not sklled enough yet. If this strange swordsman could hlp him get stronger, he would gladly join him. He did not care about not knowing him.

Chazz had appeared on the balcony of the chief's house, smiling with all his teeth. Now, tht he was the new leader he feared no one. And surely not a son of an idiot like he called Sigmund. He smiled faded to a grin. There was someone protecting him?

He wistled and called back his man. He set the archers intead. The tips of their arrows were on fire. The raitorous bandits yelled to the cloaked swordsman. "Bring us the boy, warrior. And you will have a nice reward for him. If you refuse..." The archers strengten their shot, ready to fire. This kid would call for revnge ater and even take the leadership of the cam. He could not let this kid go alive.

Sigmund kept walking as fast as one without one leg in use could and replied. "Don't. He will kill you too like he killed my father. Please let leave this place." He glared at the new leader of the bandit's camp. "ENJOY YOU THRONE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, CUZ I'LL BE BACK TO KILL YOU. LIKE YOU DID WITH MY FATHER!"

Fios - February 10, 2008 06:41 PM (GMT)
Fios continued to make his way towards the boy, taking anyone down whoever got in his way. Some he killed, and some he just wounded. He made it to the boys side, and waited for the boy to get up, while slashing at a nearby bandit threateningly. Then he heard a whistle pierce through the air, and the bandits falling back. His dark blue eyes flicked over the crowd, then up at the new leader, gripping his sword tighter. He looked at the archers, counting them, and wondering how far he could go with the boy, before the arrows reached them, but it would be a pointless attempt. He stayed where he was, contemplating how what to do. He heard the offer. Give them the boy, and they would give him a nice reward. He knew it was a lie. And that they would kill him for killing a few of their bandits. Or worse, they'd figure out who he is, and send someone to take him in, and they would get a bigger reward, and he would end up dead either way.

He looked over at the boy, when he spoke, he merely watched the boy walk, and he himself started walking backwards, while returning his gaze to the leader, and the archers. When he refuses, the arrows would release, or release real soon. Only one thing to do, and that was run. There was stay and die, or go and die. He turned on his heel, slid his sword into its scabbard, and ran to the boys side and gripped the young humans arm, forcing the boy to move faster to the gate, even if the boy couldn't go fast, he didn't quite care at the moment. Fios' objective was to get this boy out alive, as any knight would do in his own country.

"Can't stay. Keep moving." He mumbled to himself. Then, the arrows were released. He heard the twangs of the bowstrings letting loose, and the whoosh of arrows flying through the air. One passed close to his head, but hit the gates instead, but then a arrow lodged itself in one of his shoulder. He flinched and grunted in pain, but made himself still move on. His chain mail underneath his tunic saved him a little of the pain, but it still hurt, and he wished he could use his spell for healing, but he can only use his magic when he concentrates really hard. He continued to grip the boy, hoping he wouldn't fall or anything. They just had to leave.

Sigmund - February 10, 2008 07:11 PM (GMT)
When the archers fired their burning arrows, Sigmund went faster. He closed his eyes and kept going to the gates. Suddenly, he felt lighter and almost flying. He opened his eyes and he saw the warrior holding him.

When one of the arrows was about to hit the young boy, the swordman took the hit. He could not believe what he was seeing. Why would a man, not even one of his father's men, saving him? After all, he was the son of the bandits leadr...Well the former leader.

His leg was getting to much of a pain to endure, even if the man was holding him he fell to the ground few meters away from the gates. He stood up with the few force he had. He opened his journal. That was a thing he always had on him. Taking notes about evertything important to remember.

He had written the healing spell in the beginning of his book but could not see quiet well. He jumped to the elven knight, since he saw his face when the fire arrows passed near them often. He took the arrow who injured the man, and was still burning.

With the light he had, Sigmund read the page and cast it on the shoulder's man. Then he cast it again on his leg. That way they will be able to flee faster. The young man looked at the base he had lived for so long and swear revenge on them. "Who are you anyway? Why were you helping me?"

He walked away, turning back to what he used to call home. It was kind of sad be he could not mourn now. He had to take revenge for his father. "Could you train me? I need to get better as soon as possible."

Fios - February 10, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
They made it out of the gate, and when they did, the young boy fell. When he got up, he moved to Fios, and took the arrow out, and he flinched again. When the boy used the healing spell, Fios felt the pain ease away, and he nodded his thanks, but they were still in danger, the fortress was right behind them, and he knew they had to keep moving. He watched as the boy healed himself. The elf looked behind them, hearing shouts from the bandits, and he had a bet that they would come after them. The leader really seemed to want the boy dead, so it was obvious they might.

"Who are you anyway? Why were you helping me?"

His eyes rested on the boy a moment. He helped him, it was only polite and proper to tell him. "I'm Fios Armorheart. A... once knight of a far off country. I'm helping you, because you need the help. Unless you could have somehow got out of there alive without help." Fios said, his voice was oddly grim. He started walking now, heading into the forest. He looked over his shoulder at the boy. "We need to keep moving. They will most likely send some men out to look for you." The elf said. He let his hood fall off his head. His black shaggy hair showed, and his really dark grim blue eyes. He didn't look to be the happiest of men, but why should he? His entire life was ruined because of his sister.

"Could you train me? I need to get better as soon as possible."

The elf stopped in his tracks, and turned to face the boy, and looked him over, and thought for long moments, then sighed. "Perhaps." Was all he said, then walked off again, gesturing for the boy to come.

"Whats your name, boy?" He asked.

He didn't know what to really do. How could he train this boy? This day seemed to bringing back more and more bad memories for every second that passed. The memories of helping to train some younger elves and humans. And the forests with the terrifying memories of Sava. He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword, gripping it tightly, then releasing it,m and continued to do so, in his own thoughts.

Sigmund - February 10, 2008 11:03 PM (GMT)
As they were walking under the cover of night, the bandits lost their trails but they could not let them a chance to catch up. The leaves were cracking under their foot besides that, only their voice were making sounds.

I'm Fios Armorheart. A... once knight of a far off country. I'm helping you, because you need the help. Unless you could have somehow got out of there alive without help

Sigmund shook his head. He had needed help and still does. "No. I really was in need. I thank you, Fios. Then the young human realized. A Former knight? That was why he was fighting so well. A knight would train him? That was nice, he thougth about the possibilty he could weild.b]You are no more a knight? Why? And why did you came from so far away?[/b]"

We need to keep moving. They will most likely send some men out to look for you

Since Sigmund knew how it works with his former clan, he told his new ally about what to do. "We can't stay in the forest, they will be able to pursue us in great number. If we get to a town they will have to spread out to catch us and will have to deal ith the autorities."

Perhaps

What can of answer was that? What dioes the young man had to do, to be train? "Why perhaps? Is there something i must do? What do you mean? What are your conditions?" He was sounding like a businessman. Well, after all his father was a bandit of great charisma.

Whats your name, boy?

He had asked about the name of the knight but forget to tell his. He smack his forehead with his palm. He felt stupid. "My name is Siegmund Palmir, son of Siegfried Palmir. He was the leader of the bandits clan. We had a code that Chazz, the man you saw on the balcony did not believe in. We call it the three "L"s. Life, Loyalty, Luxury."

Fios - February 11, 2008 02:12 AM (GMT)
"No. I really was in need. I thank you, Fios.

Fios merely nodded slightly in acknowledgment, but continued to walk, and quite fast, not wanting to the bandits to fin their trail. He stepped over a log, and tried his best to step over any twigs. He glanced about him, his elven sight being able to see further then the humans, but he saw nothing to worry about, so he finally did slow his pace, but only a little.

"You are no more a knight? Why? And why did you came from so far away?"

He stayed silent for a long time, not knowing how he should answer. "I was falsely accused of murder. After that, they wanted to behead me. But they took away my knighthood before. Then they tried to kill me. I escaped and came to Imythess. Thats why I'm from far away. And why I'm not a knight anymore." He answered, his voice still very grim, and quiet. He continued moving, thinking of the task at hand, it at least, banished those terrible memories. He remembered though, that before being falsely accused, he was a fun person to be around, he was a cheerful person, but now, after all that pain.

He turned his head to look at the boy. A town. He looked away. He was still wanted, and would be in irons right when they walk through the town gate. But he had too, if he wanted to stay hidden from the bandits. He nodded his head. "A town it is then." He said. He would have to hide his features... somehow. "Norwood Village is the closest place, but the most obvious place though. A city would be best... but the closest one would take a long while to get there." He said, considering the options of which place to hide in. "We will have to be extra careful. The authorities, after all, are after me too."

"Why perhaps? Is there something i must do? What do you mean? What are your conditions?"

Fios laughed, a grim emotionless laugh. "I just met you boy, and helped you. I don't know if I can trust you yet. Who knows, you could just be thinking about getting to a town or city to turn me in, for the nice big reward they have on my head." He said, a tint of anger in his voice, but it was hardly noticeable. "If I was a full knight, and working at an academy to teach people how to fight, then I would teach you freely, and if you weren't a bandit. But I am not a knight anymore. I can't trust people. I can't teach anyone unless I know I can trust them." He said, and sighed a little.

"Hmm... doesn't seem this "Chazz" didn't understand the 'Loyalty'. As a once knight, Loyalty and Respect where important." Fios said. "Sorry about your father. I am assuming he was the first dead man there. But, why do you want revenge? You said you'll be back to kill the man, Chazz. Whats the point of getting revenge? If I tried getting revenge on my father, and Belana, my life would be more ruined then it is." He said. He's thought about revenge, but never saw what the point was, if he killed his noble father, the entire country would be out to get him, and that would be a worse situation then he's in.

Sigmund - February 11, 2008 01:35 PM (GMT)
I was falsely accused of murder. After that, they wanted to behead me. But they took away my knighthood before. Then they tried to kill me. I escaped and came to Imythess. Thats why I'm from far away. And why I'm not a knight anymore.

Poor elf. Lies, huh? Even in families there could be traitors? That was sad to hear. But there was something weird. "But you still follow some code, you helped me out. Sureley, you are not far to be a knight again. How could they even hunt you here, in Imythess?"

Norwood Village is the closest place, but the most obvious place though. A city would be best... but the closest one would take a long while to get there

"Well, we can still go at this city, By passing off the main roads but keeping an eye on them. You don't mind, do you?" This was the only way Sigmund could find. But since the knight was more experienced, he was ready to hear his idea.

We will have to be extra careful. The authorities, after all, are after me too

He nodded, sure n one wanted a criminal free, or even if they had any doubt. People, what to do with them. Things was even darker then the inside of the camo. How could that be? Bandits are crimnal and seem to have more of a heart then the rest of the world.

I just met you boy, and helped you. I don't know if I can trust you yet. Who knows, you could just be thinking about getting to a town or city to turn me in, for the nice big reward they have on my head

That hurt the ego of the young man.How could he think of that? "Look, Even if Chazz did not follow the code, i Still does it! Beeing a bandit doesn't mean the cash at all cost. Look at the order. Life-Loyalty-Luxury. Loyalty, means trust and unity. Why should i turn you in? Your skills are priceless. And i'll be alone? No thank you. And beside i owe you life, it would be a disrecpectfull from my part."

If I was a full knight, and working at an academy to teach people how to fight, then I would teach you freely, and if you weren't a bandit. But I am not a knight anymore. I can't trust people. I can't teach anyone unless I know I can trust them.

The elf knigt was confusing. He just told him he would not turn him in. Sure, that he got something to be scared of but still. "So we could do missions as mercenaies maybe? I'll talk to the clients and you stay hidden in the back. Does it sound better?[/b]"

Hmm... doesn't seem this "Chazz" didn't understand the 'Loyalty'. As a once knight, Loyalty and Respect where important

The hands of Sigmund were shaking by anger. Chazz will pay with his blood, they will be no mercy or redemption. Disrespecting the code was to a sign of no-honor.

Sorry about your father. I am assuming he was the first dead man there. But, why do you want revenge? You said you'll be back to kill the man, Chazz. Whats the point of getting revenge? If I tried getting revenge on my father, and Belana, my life would be more ruined then it is

The young bandits glared at Fios. "What? I should let him get away with this? Is that what you mean? In this position, there will be no one to stop him and with the influence he will gain, every bandit, thieves assasin, mercenaries will be on us! That's not safe at all. Life. This one of our code again..." Then he realized, the elf said a name. " Belana? Who is that? Your sister?"

Fios - February 11, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
"But you still follow some code, you helped me out. Sureley, you are not far to be a knight again. How could they even hunt you here, in Imythess?"

"Yes. I still try to follow the knights code, and to help as many people as I can, even if it may one day be the death of me. But I will never be true knight again. My father sent letters and such to other nobles in this place, to tell of the crimes I supposedly committed. My father wants me dead or alive, no matter how far I go. So I figure I'll be forever hunted." Answering the boys question. He hated talking about all this, but he felt he needed too, maybe just cause the boy wanted help, Fios didn't know. He looked straight ahead, walking around a tree.

"Well, we can still go at this city, By passing off the main roads but keeping an eye on them. You don't mind, do you?"

He thought a moment, then just shook his head. "No. I don't mind. The city would be the best place to go. Bandits can easily raid villages, and it would be easier for them to find you. It would be best to go to the busy cities." The elf said. He glanced at the sky, and stopped, wondering when daylight will come. Well, probably not for a long time, the sky was still very dark. He shook his head, then started walking again. He was tired, from the long day of wandering the forest, and then helping the boy escape, and still working on escaping. He hadn't quite expected any of this to happen, and certainly not the boy wanting to be trained by a former knight, one who was hunted and would be shackled by any guards or other knights the minute they saw him, but he had to help him. If Fios ever wanted to get more people to believe that he did not murder anyone, the better.

Fios stayed silent as he went. He heard what the boy said next, but didn't answer. This boy has been making the elf think more and more. Why doesn't he just agree and train the boy? Fios had been living in shadows since his sister betrayed him, since Sava changed into a dragon. Ever since he's stayed silent, and hiding. Working in stables just to earn some money for lodging and food, and mainly to just stay low. He's helped many people, but lots of them, after seeing who he was, ran from him in fear that he may kill them. He groaned a little, then, oddly, laughed, though, it was not that dull grim laugh like before, it was cheerful like.

"I feel as if I'm being challenged tonight. For so long I've been hiding in shadows. I haven't been able to help many people, without them running away in fear from me. And I especially haven't helped train anyone in years. I forget what its like to have others trust you." He said, smiling for the first time in days. Its been a long time since he was able to trust someone, but he wasn't so sure he could trust this boy, not yet.

"So we could do missions as mercenaies maybe? I'll talk to the clients and you stay hidden in the back. Does it sound better?"

Mercenaries? Hm. Nice idea, but it goes against the knights. But, I am no longer one, so, I don't mind that idea. I'll think about it." He merely said to that. He looked over at the boy, seeing him glare at him, when he had spoke of the revenge thing.

"Look, if you want to get revenge, then fine, go ahead. I'm not here to tell anyone what they should do. I'm just against the whole revenge thing. I don't like the idea of getting revenge." He said coldly.

"Belana? Who is that? Your sister?"

"Yes. She's my half sister. She's the one who ruined my life. She made it seem like I killed an innocent person, everything led to me. If I wanted, I would take revenge out on her. But I refuse to do that. Whats the point in killing her? All it would do is make me a real killer." He answered, his voice still cold, but grimmer.

Sigmund - February 16, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
Yes. I still try to follow the knights code, and to help as many people as I can, even if it may one day be the death of me. But I will never be true knight again. My father sent letters and such to other nobles in this place, to tell of the crimes I supposedly committed. My father wants me dead or alive, no matter how far I go. So I figure I'll be forever hunted.

Hunted forever. This idea creeped Sigmund. Beeing chased by everyone for false reasons. Fleeing all the time because you are no killer. Hard times indeed, but he simled at th idea of becoming mercenaries. "If we got renown enough, people will respect and believe you. Perhaps your father would not but surely the rest of the people would. Look we give a hard proce to bad actions and a generous one to the good ones and the people will pay us happily for that."

No. I don't mind. The city would be the best place to go. Bandits can easily raid villages, and it would be easier for them to find you. It would be best to go to the busy cities

"So we pass the next day and night in norwood village? You know that they will be in more great number at night. And then where is the closest city? Wich is the Busiest one? How close is it?
" He was starting to get excited. To think about all the adventures they would get ahead of them. But they had to get away from here first. And then publish ther services somehow.

I feel as if I'm being challenged tonight. For so long I've been hiding in shadows. I haven't been able to help many people, without them running away in fear from me. And I especially haven't helped train anyone in years. I forget what its like to have others trust you.

Seeing Fios smiled made Sigmund happier. The loss of his father, the exile he had no choice but to take. If he would not had taken it, he woud have died. "Don't worry about that. It will come all together. "

Look, if you want to get revenge, then fine, go ahead. I'm not here to tell anyone what they should do. I'm just against the whole revenge thing. I don't like the idea of getting revenge.Yes. She's my half sister. She's the one who ruined my life. She made it seem like I killed an innocent person, everything led to me. If I wanted, I would take revenge out on her. But I refuse to do that. Whats the point in killing her? All it would do is make me a real killer

Sigmund looked at the sky, he did not realized that the stars were no more and the sky a deep purple. Fios was right, if he lived that old. "I guess i'll see in due time. For now, i just want to be stronger as fast as possible."

Life would be hard only living for revenge, no other purpose. One day, he will find his purpose and will follow the path of his life. He looked ahead and saw stranges shadows. They were houses. He ran to it, still listening to the former knight.
