Title: End of a Journey
Description: [Open to all]
Zydus - February 8, 2008 09:04 AM (GMT)
With the night sky broadly hanging over the village, Zydus stumbled through the door of The Green Gryphon. Everywhere he looked, he could see groups of people chatting, laughing or even attempting to dance. Zydus smiled to himself, barely making his way through a crowd of people in the middle. He managed to push himself through to the bar, leaning his back against it as he turned around to peer about the inn again. It had been a long time since he was home, clearly the slight smile still lingering on his face showed his feelings about being back, at the least. Zydus turned around again, wriggling his fingers freely after taking off his worn gloves; setting them on the bar counter beside him. The bar was as busy as he thought it could be, many a person pushing against him as they tried to make their way back and forth. Their hands full of mugs everytime, whether they were empty or full.
After a few minutes of constantly being ignored by the already over busy bar staff, Zydus managed to grab the attention of one bar tender. A short, stout looking human man, with a bald head but cheery face. He stood behind the bar, rubbing a few mugs clean, as he glanced at Zydus. 'What'll it be then, sir?'. Zydus squinted his eyes slightly, as if in thought. "Ah, just some ale for now I think." Zydus smiled slightly, as the bar tender simply nodded and walked off. Zydus turned again, glancing at his gloves briefly as he looked more closely at the groups of people. Not seeing a single face he recognised, Zydus felt slightly like a stranger; even though as happy as he was to be back. He bit his bottom lip for a moment, before turning around slowly. His elbows on the bar as he looked sideways, waiting for his drink.
DornKoon - February 8, 2008 09:55 AM (GMT)
Alice arrived to the green gryphon, the elven lady looked around as she came inside, it had been a long day and she could use some good rest now. But she was careful not to leave herself open to any attacks. She made her way thought the crowd and soon arrived to the bar, she sat down and took a deep breath. She calmly lowered the hood from the head, revealing her green hair and her green eyes. Of course her elven ear to.
She waved her hand to make the bar tender and the man quickly came to her. "What will it be miss?" he asked with a smile, since Alice was a fair lady. "I would like something to drink, some of your best vine would be nice please" she said and smiled back at the man. "It will come to you right away, just wait a moment." the bar tender then returned to give drinks to others, since many where waiting for there drinks. Alice watched him for a moment, then she picked up a book that was hanging from her belt, she placed it in front og herself and then she began to read. She slowly moved her hand through her long green hair while she was reading, a habit she had since she was a child.
Zydus - February 8, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
Zydus, still leaning against the bar with his elbows firmly on it, peered sideways along the two ends of the bar; eyeing anyone he could with a brief glance. As if taking in the faces, as unfamiliar as they were to him. After a short while of peering at the different kind of folk in the inn, he noticed an Elven woman -- her green hair catching his eyes' gaze. He squinted his eyes for a moment, noticing she was reading; something he was pretty surprised about. The level of noise and business in the inn contributing to his reaction. Zydus smirked to himself, as he glanced into the bar area again only to notice the same, friendly looking bar tender come towards him. This time with a filled mug of ale.
Digging his hand into a small bag around his waist, usually hidden under his cloak, Zydus pulled out a small coin. He nodded thankfully at the bar tender as he switched his coin for the drink, turning around to lean his back against the bar again afterwards. Even though, it hadn't been longer than a few days since his last mug of ale, Zydus took satisfaction in his first few sips, the long day he had done travelling here taking it's toll clearly. He yawned widely, glancing around again. His eyes flickering to see if the same green-haired Elf was still there; reading her book.
DornKoon - February 8, 2008 07:50 PM (GMT)
Alice was still reading her book, but she looked up a little now and then to look scan the room with her eyes. She noticed that a man was looking at her, that made her a little nervouse but she tried to ignore him, after a while the bar tender came back with a glas with a red liquide inside. "Here is your vine miss, a delicious vine for a fair lady." he said and smiled. Alice looked at him and raised her eyebrowns, Thanks sir, very kind of you She said, then she picked up her bag to pay for the drink, but the bar tender shook his head. "This one is on the house miss, have a nice day"
Alice looked at the glas, this was odd? could it be trap? Are we going to drink that? Itīs to good to be true....better leave it for now the wispering voice said. Alice sighed and began to read her book again, she turned a page and then she noticed that the stranger was looking at her again. Who was that guy anyway? and why did he look at her? She took a deep breath and then she turned towards Zydus. "excuse me sir? she asked him. "Can I help you with anything, because I have noticed that you have been looking at me for a while now like allways she smiled a girlish smile and none could ever think that she was evil. To most people she looked like a perfectly normal cute girl.
Zydus - February 8, 2008 10:31 PM (GMT)
Zydus continued to look around the inn, still peering at the woman every so often. More out of a curiosity than anything else. Other than the occasional drunken laugh, a lot louder and more noticeable than others in the inn, there wasn't much worthwhile going on for him to watch. The Elven woman, to him, seemed more into her book than the rest of the hustle and bustle going on -- hence it sparked a kind of hint of curiosity in his head. He yawned again, quickly covering it with his mug and a gulp of ale at the same time. It was only then he noticed green haired Elf come towards him; something unexpected to him as he hadn't noticed she saw him glancing at her.
Zydus lowered his mug, after taking a few sips. He was slightly surprised when the woman approched him, and asked what she did; not realising how odd it might've looked to her when seeing him glancing at her. He straightened himself up more, still leaning against the bar counter. "Oh...Nothing, sorry. I didn't mean anything by it." He smiled slightly, although a little awkwardly. As if trying to show her he meant nothing sinister. "I just kind of noticed you, among all the rest of the inn. Heh." He glanced ahead, past her gaze for a moment, while he took a few more sips of his drink.
DornKoon - February 8, 2008 11:09 PM (GMT)
Alice nodded. I see she said and smiled. Well Itīs no problem dear, donīt be sorry about it. I have to say that it is more intresting to talk with people then to read a stupid book. You gave me my chance to talk with someone she laughed. Then she took anather sip from her vine. How very rude of me, my name is Alice Winters of the Moon elfs. I understand why you noticed me, green hair is not very common these days
She closed the book and picked it up, she looked at it for a moment, then she looked back at the stranger again, the elven woman was still smiling a bright and happy smile. And who might you be noble sir? she asked.
Zydus - February 8, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
Zydus glanced back at her, lowering his mug once more. This time, he was more relaxed; feeling any lasting awkwardness leave him. He smiled slightly, nodding thankfully. "Heh, at least my curiosity did something right for once." He smirked slightly, leaning back more comfortably again against the bar counter. "I'm Zydus, nice to meet you then, Alice...even wiith the way we meet." Zydus smiled. taking another quick gulp of his drink, as he glances around again for the moment while wiping his lips clean of any ale.
"Since we know each other by name now, can I ask if you're a local here?" He shuffled his feet. "It's been a long time since I was back here...Just more curiosity you could say; would love to find out what's new here and so on." He smiled warmly, peering at her. His eyes flickering around the background every so often.
DornKoon - February 8, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
People have meet in stranger ways before Alice said. and I wish I could tell you anything but Iīm not from around these parts. I will not be to much help. she made a pause to take anather sip of her vine before she keept talking. Iīm just here to get some rest from my...adventures. she giggled to herself.
My this is sick, we sound like a small school girl or something, letīs just kill him and take all his belongings, that is fun, no?
Alice sighed and shook her head, of course could Zydus not hear the other voice since it would sound very...odd if someone had a second voice coming out of thin air. The sorceress was still smiling at the knight and none would think that anything was wrong.
Zydus - February 9, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Zydus nodded at her, taking a few more sips of his ale. "I'll be sure to ask around sooner or later, while I'm here at least." He smiled, putting his near empty mug down on the counter beside him, before turning around to face her again. His eyes glancing around the inn - as well as at her, a usual habit of his in conversations like this. "I've lived here for most of my childhood, just got back tonight." He glanced over where he could hear some cheers from, quickly eyeing a very tipsy looking man being pulling up from the floor; a small smirk on his face.
"At least some things don't change, heh." He squinted his eyes, taking a quick glance around the rest of the inn, before looking back at her.
DornKoon - February 9, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
Alice listened to Zydus when he was talking, To ask is the best way to know something. she said. She to looked around the inn when he did. I myself lived in a small village to the south, but I have not been there for many years now, and I donīt think I will be back. she sighed and shook her head, Yes your right, some things never change. But then again the world would not be very intresting if thins did not change. she smiled towards Zydus. Thatīs what my mother told me.
Zydus - February 9, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
Zydus smiled softly, pausing for a moment, before he turns slightly so only one of his elbows held him up against the bar. "True. I guess the only thing that can really change in small places like this are the people, right?"He smirks slightly, before looking at the same bar tender from before. "Same again, sir?" "Right." The bar, seemed to be fuller now, even though it was only the level of noise that increased. Zydus peered at the Elf again. "Is this your first time here, by the way?"
It wasn't long before the short, stout man returned; and once again they did the same exchange of Zydus' coin for the mug of ale.
DornKoon - February 9, 2008 09:16 AM (GMT)
"True. I guess the only thing that can really change in small places like this are the people, right?"
Alice took anather sip from her vine before she said anything. Yes your right about that, I would guess that many people have moved to other cities and villages, and that people have moved in from the outside to.
"Is this your first time here, by the way?"
Alice thought for a moment "Yes this is my first time here" she said. But I know that my mother originaly came from around this area of the land, but then she moved away when she meet my father. It was hard to hear very well in the bar since there was much noise, but she did her best. Some people had started to singsomewhere in the bar.
Zydus - February 9, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
Zydus smiled slightly, leaning his back fully against the bar again, as he began to watch where the singing had started up from. "World's a small place, aint it?" He took a sip of his drink, as his eyes continued to watch the area of the inn where he could see the singing coming from. "Although, it feels even smaller in here due to how crowded this place is...Which is nice in a way. At least it feesl welcoming, you could say."
Zydus smirked to himself for a moment, looking ahead as if in thought, before quickly turning to her again. "Would you like another drink, if you're done anytime soon with your own?" He glanced sideways at the bar, looking for anyone who wasn't busy enough.
Juice - February 9, 2008 06:54 PM (GMT)
A young, cloaked woman steps into the Green Gryphon and closed the door behind her. She took off her hood and looked around the inn(?) and noticed that it was kind of crowded in there. But she found an avalible seat at the bar.
With careful steps, she walked to the counter and later on stood beside Zydus,
"Excuse me, but is this seat avalible?" Nina asked the man with a gentle voice, she had a cute smile on her face and looked somewhat tired.
Nina had been traveling for a while and found this inn by luck and decided to stay there through the night. She had no real clue where to head next and hoped to find someone to talk to since she would like some advices.
DornKoon - February 9, 2008 07:33 PM (GMT)
Alice looked at Zydus for a moment before she said anything. You might be right about that, but then again things is different from people to people, some might think that the world is big and some that it is small. Same goes with this bar, because it might be comfortable and welcoming for some people but not to others.
She drank out the last of her vine, then she smiled at Zydus when he asked if she wanted something to drink. Well that would be nice. she said.
He eyes moved to the new stranger as she began to talk of course she had seen the woman come into the building, but she did not look to special.
Zydus - February 9, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
After grabbing the attention of a bar waitress, Zydus nodded towards Alice. "Same again for the lady here, I would guess." He smiled at the waitress as she nodded and walked off again, quickly turning back to his original position. It was only then he saw another woman, a human, near him. He glanced at the empty seat near him. "Um, I don't think so, no. Go ahead." He moved a little, letting her have room to sit down before turning his gaze ahead again, as he waited for the waitress to return.
"Everyone's different, so I'll agree with you in a way." He smiled slightly, taking another sip of his ale. His eyes focused ahead still, a slightly yawn appearing over his face. Signs of his long day showing.
DornKoon - February 9, 2008 08:36 PM (GMT)
Alice watched him, had a hard day? she asked him when he yawned. Because you look tired, I could tell, since I have had a hard day myself. the elven woman giggled, Itīs starting to get dark outside, the night is coming. No wounder there are much people here then, I would not like to be outside in this darkness.
she looked towards the window and by the sound from outside it was blowing heavily now. I would not be suprised if it was going to rain, let me have a look and tell what the future will show
Alice picked up her empty glas and placed it in front of herself, then she raised her hand over it and began to move her index finger in a circle. She did not say anything for a moment, then she nodded.
I was right, rain will come, and much of it. A storm....thunder, lightning then suddenly a bright flash lightened the room, followed by a loud bang. Alice smiled. "and there is the thunder. Lucky we are in here and not out there."
Zydus - February 9, 2008 09:02 PM (GMT)
Zydus nodded, watching her. "A long day at least, yeah." Zydus watched her with the glass, a strange but relaxing chill hitting him for a moment as he stayed silent. He smirked slightly as he heard the thunder outside, nodding. "Interesting..." He only smiled then turned around, looking for signs of the waitress whom he spotted coming towards him. He set his elbows on the counter for a moment, smiling at the woman who had sat near him so not to seem rude if they were in her way.
"...that is certainly an interesting skill." Zydus peered to the side at Alice briefly, as he took her drink from the waitress. Handing it to her.
DornKoon - February 9, 2008 09:18 PM (GMT)
Alice smiled and accepted the glas from Zydus. The art of scrying is not that hard she said and took a sip from the new glas. But then it was more common back in old days, but I would say that it is very useful if once wants to look briefly into the future, itīs not like the use of powerful magic, but it still works to find out small things. Like what the weather is going to be, or what person is going to walk into the room next.
She looked around the bar when she was talking, he eyes stopped for a moment at the door, then she again looked back at Zydus.
Zydus - February 9, 2008 09:46 PM (GMT)
Zydus followed Alice's gaze to the door, smirking quietly to himself, before turning to her again. "Well, I don't think I'll be telling the future anytime soon anyway...Eh, which means I just did tell the future, didn't I...?" He shook his head for a moment, before smiling at her; making him set aside his now empty mug on the bar counter. "...out of curiosity though, would you be able to tell who was about to walk through there next?"
Zydus glanced towards the door again, only turning to smile to show her he was half-joking as well as it being pure curiosity. "I suppose one could deem that kind of misusing it, maybe, if you were asked to tell things like that?" He leaned against the bar again.
DornKoon - February 9, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
Alice laughed. That would not be a problem, just give me a moment this time she looked down into the glas she was holding, then she did not say anything for a moment. Wait, a woman, I would say middle-age, red hair, her dress is brown and she is here in search for her husband, and I can tell you that she is not happy. Something about a hole in there roof. One moment later the door opened and a woman came inside, she was dressed in a simple brown dress and her hair was red like fire, she looked very angry. "Simon Beans" she said with a high voice, all people stopped talking and looked at her, a man that was sitting on a table carefully began to move away, but the woman noticed him. "There you are to pathetic excuse for a man, there is still a hole in the roof, and the water is coming in. Here you are drinking with youur friends." she walked towards him and most people quickly move out of the way, because this was one scary woman
"But Patty, I was just about to..." the man began, but the woman grabbed him by the collor. "Do not try that on me, you are coming home right now, is that clear?"
Simon nodded, his wife then smiled and walked to the door again, she was nearly carrying poor Simon. The door closed and they where gone.
Alice had been watching this and she raised an eyebrow when they left. My that was random I have to say she said and giggled.
Zydus - February 9, 2008 10:43 PM (GMT)
Zydus blinked as he watched the woman drag the man away, causing him to grin; almost laugh in amazement even. "Random indeed...but, again, you were right." He smiled for a moment, thinking to himself. His eyes watching the inn resume to the way it was before what happened there. "I suppose I could be pushing it...just a little, if I asked if you knew what I will do next...?" He grinned slightly, glancing at Alice curiously again, but in the same joking manner as before. He looked away towards the middle of the inn, shrugging slightly. "Actually...don't bother doing that." He smirked slightly, his eyes flickering through the different heads of the group of people in the inn.
Juice - February 9, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
Nina sat down on the chair she asked for and then ordered something to eat. While waiting, Nina listened to Zydus and Alice conversation with interest. She wondered if it was some kind of a trick or pure luck the girl had when she was scrying the future.
She was also gazing around the room, trying to find someone she might had seen or knew from before, but no. She sighed to herself and felt pretty lonley, since she had been travelling alone since her mother threw her out. But soon that matter was forgotten and she started to wonder if the food was tasty here.
Soon she got her food and started to eat it with a slow pase. The food was tastier than she thought it would be and she ate it happily.
It was nice to be inside the inn when it was raining outside and it was her luck that she got inside before the rain started.
When Zydus asked Alice to see into his closest future, Nina couldn't help but let out a silent giggle. It was a funny comment from a guy in love, or have a crush with a girl.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 09:57 AM (GMT)
[I]"I suppose I could be pushing it...just a little, if I asked if you knew what I will do next...?"
Well I think I could do that, it would not be to hard Alice said and smiled at Zydus. This was starting to get intresting, my she was good with this, of course she had been doing it for most of her life.
"Actually...don't bother doing that."
The sorceress nodded. Then I will not do it, your future is your own, would not be fun to know it right away. she giggled again, then she took anather sip from her vine. Iīm happy to have meet you, usualy I donīt meet much people since I am moving around very much
Zydus - February 10, 2008 10:27 AM (GMT)
Zydus nodded, peering forward again as in thought. "Mhm, it's been a while since I've had a conversation that didn't involve some kind of danger in it."He sighed quietly to himself, peering around the inn in his usual curious way. Still the same things going on as ever; loud drunks, laughing and all sorts. "..and yeah, it'd be weird knowing what I was going to do next, wouldn't it? Well, for me at least." He smiled a little, folding his arms as he continued to stare ahead. A content, but not very noticeable, expression on his face.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 10:41 AM (GMT)
I see what you meen Zydus, Itīs the same for me to. he life is full of danger in many ways Alice said. She waited a moment before she replied to him the next time Iīm very used to know what is going to happen in the closest future. I understand that it may seem odd to others.
She watched him for a moment, wondering what he was thinking, since he looked slightly content. The elven woman smiled a little to herself, then she looked forward and she did not say anything for a moment.
So you said that you grew up in this village? Did you have a nice childhood here? Because this sure feels like a friendly village in many ways.
Zydus - February 10, 2008 10:57 AM (GMT)
Zydus glanced at her, nodding with an undecided expression on his face. "It was the best I could have hoped for, really." He smiled at her slightly. "I was always kept busy though. Rarely any free time during my younger day." He smirked to himself, thinking of the times he use to try and sneak in the inn when he was younger. Caught out everytime too. "Yeah...I remember this village being a friendly place when I lived in this area." He grinned at her for a moment.
"To be honest, I lived a little outside the village and only, well...came to live in the area here when I was maybe five or six...Heh" His eyes glanced around the inn, looking for anything that he might remember from his days growing up here. "This Inn hasn't seem to have changed much either...Which isn't a bad thing though." He smiled to himself.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 11:11 AM (GMT)
"It was the best I could have hoped for, really."
Thatīs good then, all people should have a happy childhood Alice said. This man was emotional, and Alice was starting to get to know him better.
"I was always kept busy though. Rarely any free time during my younger day."
Alice laughed I guess there is much that has to be done in a village like this, I did not have to work to much, since I was with my mother at home most of the time. But of course I had my fair share of work, like getting water and get berries from the forest. Things like that
"To be honest, I lived a little outside the village and only, well...came to live in the area here when I was maybe five or six...Heh"
Alice nodded. It was the same for me, but we never move into the city, we lived in the forest right next to it, my people is not very used to live inside of the cities, the forest is more our thing she smiled and took anather sip from her vine. I could say that I had a very happy childhood there, but of course that was long ago, and time changes much.
Zydus - February 10, 2008 12:05 PM (GMT)
Zydus smirked slightly, straightening himself up with folded arms. He glanced at the woman who was eating next to him for a moment, making sure there was still room for her to actually move if she needed. He turned his head again to look at Alice. "I think happy childhoods seem to mean a different kind of adulthood, I seem to find." He smiled for a moment at her. "Well, lets just say I've had an "interesting" life away from here, to say the least." His eyes flickered to her green hair curiously, quickly looking towards her eyes again.
"What about you? If you don't mind me asking...Had an "interesting" life away from home too?" He put his hand over his mouth, covering a brief yawn; glancing past her shoulder at a group of people laughing loudly as he finished yawning.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 01:06 PM (GMT)
Alice moved her hand trought the green hair she had, I would say that I have had my fair share of intresting things during my life, since I had brown hair when I was a child, but I ended up in a magical accident some years ago....and well you can see what happened to it, not that it is that bad, green is a nice color and not many peoples has green hair. she laughed and shook her head. Magic is nothing one should play with lightly, I learned that and I was luckey that nothing more then this happened to me that time. Not that I had anything to do with the magic itself, it was a man named Eric, he was my best friend. He dissappeared right in front of my eyes, I canīt be sure that he is dead since I never saw him die, but this was a long time ago and one canīt stay in the past all there lives. she smiled at Zydus.
Zydus - February 10, 2008 01:33 PM (GMT)
Zydus shuffled his feet, slightly awkwardly. "Oh...mhm...." He looked forward again, speaking more slowly. "I've seen the uses of magic...both good and bad. Kind of makes me happy I've never tried any of it myself." He smiled softly at her, before returning his eyes towards the crowd. "All I really need is a well made sword to get what I need one." He smirked to himself again, his arms still folded together as he watched the crowd.
Zydus felt a tap on his shoulder, the small, stout bartender from earlier standing there. "Another drink, sir?" Zydus glanced at Alice, then turned to the bartender, shaking his head.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
Alice looked at Zydus for a moment. You might be right, itīs hard to not use magic when you have tried it once. she said to him and sighed. But most people think of magic as something easy, a power that just helps them, but if you ask me magic is more then that. she laughed. Iīstarting to sound like my old master. So your looking for a sword? It should not be to hard to find a good one.
The man turned towards Alice when he was done with Zydus. "How about you then young lady?" he asked with a smile, Alice shook her head. No thanks, I donīt need any more to drink she said. The man nodded, then he walked away to speak with some of the other guests.
Zydus - February 10, 2008 04:42 PM (GMT)
Zydus nodded. "I haven't met many magic users, which you might find surprising, in my little 'adventures' so I really can't say how a lot look upon it." He smiled slightly. "I only ever get the idea, from some of the few I have actually met, that they'd rather not discuss their own abilities in it that much." Zydus smirked to himself, thinking back to a time in Taras where he had a rather odd conversation with a pretty dull, and very arrogant Mage once.
"Heh. I think my old "master" would say the same thing...Only about a more Knightly subject." Zydus paused for a moment, a few memories of his younger days in Kellen appearing in his head. "Anyway, I think we can compare using swords as to using magic. They can both be used for the same purposes." Zydus raised his eyesbrows at her, before looking ahead again as he normally does.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 05:05 PM (GMT)
Alice laughed. Yes most magicans donīt like to talk about there magic since they donīt want to share what they know to the rest of the world. I can tell you that many magicans are very arrogan and short-minded, trapped inside of there own minds, a great head, but a short mind. she made a pause. I will not be like them, Iīm using my mind to create magic, not some stupid ritual or to read from some book.
Correct, one can compare a sword with magic in many ways, both can be used and misused, magic can be dangerous in the wrong hands, as with a sword. But of course a normal sword donīt corrupt the body like som magic does. I meet a necromancer once....he did not look very healty. Alice giggled. That kind of magic is nothing I ever would use....I want to stay normal.
Zydus - February 10, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
Zydus smiled to himself, glancing at her as he spoke. "Arrogant is definitely a word I can relate to, from experience." He smirked widely, glancing off again. "I haven't heard of your kind of magic before...that is, creating it with your mind somehow. All I can say is, it sounds a lot tougher than the usual stuff you might find - which you pointed out anyway."
He smiled at her, looking down into his hands; wriggling his fingers as he held one of his wrists with his other hand. "Little things like this are the only "corruption" you can get from weidling a weapon...Which, from what you told me, I'd rather choose over the magical effects." He held his hand out for a moment, twisting it slightly before lowering it again.
DornKoon - February 10, 2008 09:33 PM (GMT)
Alice nodded. That is true Zydus, you will not change like people using magic will. People often uses magical powers because it is more destructive then a normal weapon, but your making a wise choice not to use magic. To me itīs o late to stop even If I wanted to, thatīs why Iīm using this kind of magic, to protect myself from corruption. she calmly drank out the last of her vine and took a deep breath. But Iīm not very powerful right now, my powers are still weak and I canīt do any fighting with them.
Alice looked around the bar, people had started to go home and not many was left, it was more quiet then before and they could hear the sound of the falling rain outside, and the blowing of the wind and of course the thunder. I like it when it rains, itīs comfortable to hear the sound of it when your inside.

Nina had finished her meal for some time ago and paied for it aswell, and later she was just drinking some juice while discretly listening to the conversation.
When Zydus held out his hand, he was close to bump into Nina with it and Nina couldn't help to parry his hand as a reflex.
"Oh, please be careful where you are waving your arms." Nina said with a smile to Zydus. She was not angry or irritated by the gesture, but it was a good opertunity to get into the conversation.
"I couldn't help hearing what you were talking about... But I find it interesting." Nina said, trying to make her way into the conversation.
One of her bigger interests is to become a sword master, so everything that you could learn about swords would be useful.
Nina leaned forward to get some eye-contact with Alice, "One question that I have been thinking about is, how do you know that you will not be corupted by using the kind of magic you are experienced in?" Nina asked Alice, since if you knew that, then everyone would avoid the different magics that could corrupt one.

Zydus glanced at Nina, flexing his fingers after lowering his hand. An unexpectant expression on his face. "Well I apologise anyway." He smiled a little, nodding at her before turning his gaze back to Alice; his eyes quickly flickering to the door after she spoke. "Well, I'm sure you can handle the magic, you seem capable enough - on the rain stuff though, I got to agree, I love that comfy feeling you get from being in places like this during rain storms too." He smirked slightly, shuffling to stand up straighter as Nina came into the conversation.
Zydus watched Nina speak to Alice, his two eyebrows raised curiously as she finished. Flickering his eyes to Alice, Zydus smiled, trying to figure out how he would probably answer this if it were him who used the same sort of magic as Alice mentioned.

Why thanks, itīs very nice of you to say that Alice said to Zydus with a bright smile. She looked a little suprised when Nina began to talk with her, she was not ready for it. The elven woman thought for a moment. "Well I canīt be sure about that, but since my master used the same kind of magic and he became very old and not corrupted I would say that I have a good chance not to be it. Just like him. But one canīt be to sure, my master told me that I had a good mind and would handle it very well."
"Who is that girl anyway? Such rude creature." the voice said in her head. Alice shook her head and ignored the voice for now.

"I see..." Nina mumbled on Alice's reply and sat down again on her chair. She put her left hand on her chin and thought for a moment.
The reply didn't really make sense at all, based on what they had been talking about previosly.
Then she looked on Zydus with a smile, "There was no need for saying sorry, but thanks anyway!" Nina said with a happy voice.
Then she stood up and moved her chair behind Zydus so she could easier talk to them both.
"But how about normal weapons? How do you know that you are corrupted or on your way to be corrupted by it?" Nina asked them both with great interest. "Oh, please forgive my rudeness, but I couldn't help ask that question also." Nina swiftly said as a side-comment on her question.
