Title: All non-magical weapons Redone
Description: Next up: Magical Weapons

Master Ace - February 3, 2008 09:29 PM (GMT)
I have redone the Daggers and swords and condensed them into one shop (Daggers are essentially short shortswords). I gave every weapon a description and added a convenient way of handling masterwork items and enchantments. It will take me a while to get the rest of the armor and weapons done, but I figured swords would be the easiest to handle.

Many items were removed because they could not be effectively defined and set apart from the rest. This would include:
Assassin's dagger
Elvish dagger
Bone-hilted Dagger
Shark tooth Dagger
Elvish Saber (pic was reused)
Two handed sword
Barbarian's heavy blade
Samurai Sword (made a lot of sense with no samurai around anyways, right?)

I additionally moved the moonsea cutlass form the magical weapon shop to this shop as it simply looks better that way in my humble opinion. I also added Doubled bladed sword as it complemented the other double bladed weapons.

Persons with said items would be able to switch them out for the nearest item for instance a Shark tooth Dagger is still a dagger. You are free to play around with the materials of the items within reason, such as saying your weapon is made of bone. Saying your weapon is made of adamantium or some anti-vampire material is not within the rules.

Without further ado I give you the redone Sword shop.

Hmmm... I like it the idea of adding masterwork to every weapon, makes it much better in my opinion.

Just a few corrections from what I can see.

The punching dagger is officially called a Katar.
Your knuckles are called Brass Knuckles, regardless of what metal they are made of.

Personally, I can't wait to see what else you come up with Ace.

Master Ace - February 15, 2008 05:34 PM (GMT)
That's actually more relative to where they come from. I have after all went through several sources that said Punching daggers. As for Knuckles, I've seen them called iron knuckles. I simply opted for the simplest and most easy to understand name.

Regardless calling a Punching dagger a Katar, and knuckles Brass knuckles is not much of a difference.

Anywho thanks for the comments.

Aether Draka - May 8, 2008 03:50 PM (GMT)
I am removing all of the masterwork stuff from each one and combining it as follows, which I shall put with the enchantments. I really, really, really don't like it being in the individual shops because it chops everything up so badly, but I do love the idea of having each one being able to become a masterwork weapon.

Shuriken

Edit:
I have this image in AD's inventory for a prize, would it work for the Double Sword?

I think it's funny I can miss the entire relevancy of a topic, but I'll always catch the little things... And it's annoying for both of us.

Name: Fighting Knives
Description: Knives made for fighting and not the dinner table. They excel in slashing since they have only one blade, but they can be used for slashing as well.

I assume you meant to include something else with the end of the sentence.

Lance was in the melee shop and already has a pic.

I still have to photoshop the other two and am being lazy about it apparently

I really don't see anything wrong with the shops they way they were to begin with, save for the occasional accidentally reused image. 0_0 Are these changes necessary? Seems like a lot of tedious work with little point.

I couldn't stand the redundancy of the variety of items with no notable difference between them. It also gave masterwork to every item. The changes with the magical weapons and with armor are more notable, but Weapons were the easiest thing to start with.
