Title: 'Not another Imythess romance'
Description: [p] Enelya

Rothardan - January 28, 2008 12:39 AM (GMT)
BONG! BONG! BONG! The sound of the three bells from the clocktower of Taras was like music to Rothardan's ears. He had been thinking of Enelya for all of his shift and now, he could finally leave here and go towards the Temple of Swords. Damn he was looking forward to this, he couldn't remember when the last time he had been so happy was. No really, he couldn't.
The guards came forth and nodded to Rothardan, indicating that his job had been done and that he could now leave. Rothardan turned and walked through the Taras Arena hallways and out of the arena itself. From there on, he stopped on at the market stall and brought some stuff for the picnic he was going on. With his gold, Rothardan brought:
  • Sandwiches
  • Apples
  • Some chocolate cake
  • A wicker basket to keep it all in
  • And a blanket

Placing everything neatly in the wicker basket, Rothardan grabbed his bag of never ending space and placed everything inside. That was the best bit about the bag of never ending space, it would hold anything. Then, Rothardan went outside and, using his mighty wings, took to the air immediately. Using his haste spell, Rothardan zoomed across half of Taras until he had found his destination.

The temple of swords.

Rothardan dropped down to the ground outside the entrance and saw that Enelya hadn't arrived yet. So Rothardan waited, humming a tune to himself. Gosh this was an amazing day, and it was going to get better!

((OOC to all readers: Yes, I know this post is based in Taras, but it'll move to Norwood Lake on my next post.))

Enelya Norvayn - January 28, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
The sound of the clock-tower sang through the Temple, and Enelya had been conversing with a little old man who’d worked in the Temple of Swords ever since he was a young lad. He was an interesting fellow, he’d never married because he’d been a devote swordsman to Veronna’s cause. Enelya talked with him for a good long while about how he came to pick up the blade, and learn about it and the likes.

Enelya never knew how laborious it was to construct a simple piece of metal that eventually became a sword. Though she soon shook the man’s hand, wished him a farewell, and ventured towards the entrance of the Temple where Rothardan had said to meet her.

Her brown boots scuffed along the stone path that lead out into Taras. Enelya smoothed her beige blouse, un-ruffling her dark green skirt, and tugged lightly at her light brown vest. Her long light blue hair was quick to follow her however, lying draped across her shoulders, for there wasn’t much of a breeze when she exited the temple.

It wasn’t long before she caught sight of the sweet Paladin waiting for her. Her smile became wider and she waved, running towards him, holding the edge of her skirt so she didn’t trip. His wings were still displayed, which seemed to her that more flying was on the agenda.

As she approached him, she slowed to a simple walk, and let down her skirt. She crossed her arms and grinned. “So, were there any trouble makers in Taras this evening?”

[[OOC: It's a little short, sorry DX]]

Rothardan - January 28, 2008 09:39 PM (GMT)
The sounds of the footsteps running towards him made Rothardan turn around, and what a sight there was to behold. There was Enelya, running towards with him a smile on her face that made Rothardan smile right back. As she began to slow down to a small trot, Rothardan smelt the familiar smell of lavender and flowers that seemed to always appear when Enleya was around. She came forward and stopped near the Paladin, crossing her arms with a lovely smile on her face.

“So, were there any trouble makers in Taras this evening?” she asked.

Rothardan walked beside her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder in a sort of embrace way, for he had a story to tell her.

"It was mayhem," he explained, "the place was full of guards and a bunch of thieves still try to fix the tournament so that they can win and take home the gold. Pretty nasty stuff involving a plan to drug several friends of mine so that they would be drowsy and off their guard. Well, eventually we got wind of the problem and sorted them out. Their awaiting trial now, serious offences and whatnot..."

Rothardan then turned and looked Enelya in the eye.

"Enelya, it was the thought of me and you going on this little picnic in Norwood that kept me sane. You've made me feel happier than I have ever been, and to thank you, I want to take you around Imythess. We have a few hours before the special moment and I want to show you everything from the sky. The mountains, the desert... everything."

Rothardan held out his hand, and then spread his angel wings... ready for takeoff!

"Ready?" he asked?

Enelya Norvayn - January 30, 2008 05:45 AM (GMT)
Enelya grinned as Rothardan wrapped his arm around her, telling her of his hectic guarding duties. She was tempted to remind him that it was for the greater good of people and that he had a standard to live up to… At least that’s what he had said before. But she just wrapped her other arm around him, giving him a hug.

However, before she could say any of her condolences, he continued to explain to her how much he was looking forward to the picnic. Enelya had never been on a picnic before, so she too was giddy inside. Not only was it something she’d never done before, but also it was a chance to spend more time with Rothardan. He was a nice fellow, and seemed to have a good heart, wanting to really do some good in the world… Not just the standard I want to help people… But really, really wanted to make a difference. Enelya hoped that she’d be able to assist him in his ambitions… Though she wouldn’t be much help in the fighting aspect, but perhaps healing and nurturing.

Enelya’s heart seemed to sink with awe as Rothardan explained to her how much he was looking forward to their picnic. She made him happy? Well that was wonderful! She liked making people happy… and as she thought about it… he made her happy too. She touched his arm lightly and smiled. “You make me happy too, Rothardan.” Soon he was talking about going flying again… But this time he was going to take her all around Imythess. Enelya’s lavender eyes widened and she took his hand, squeezing it tightly. Her stomach was already turning in circles with the anticipation… She hadn’t really gotten used to the thrill yet. “Yeah! I’m ready!” She said softly, with her eyes close shut tightly, trying to placate the initial lift off.

[[OOC: Sorry it's so short...]]

Rothardan - January 30, 2008 09:28 AM (GMT)
When Enelya took Rothardan's hand in eager anticipation, Rothardan scooped her up and held her so that she would get a great view. Before, she was in an awkward position and didn't get to see everything Rothardan wanted her to see... but now it was time to throw of the training wheels and get things going. Rothardan stretched his wings, looked up into the sky... and... FWUMP! Dust blew to the ground as Rothardan took to the air once again, his wings keeping him afloat. Turning towards Enelya with a smile on his face, Rothardan headed back the way they came... towards the bay and towards the Debon Plains.

But this time, he went further than the Debon Plains... and towards the mountains. The Gwilikith Mountains, a mountain range that seemed to surround the desert. Rothardan had been here before once, searching for lost artefacts. Flying near the mountains, Rothardan was amazed to see little creatures that looked like dogs made of rock come out of the mountains. They ran towards the mountains and seemed to howl and bark. What where they exactly? Rothardan had to come here again and find out for himself at one point.

Soon however, after they had flown to the mountain range... it was starting to get late. Rothardan turned back and flew towards the destination he had wanted to go to all along. Norwood Lake. It took about half an hour to get there, for Rothardan was going at quite a speed. Eventually, they reached Norwood and Rothardan touched down ever so lightly. Another perfect landing.

And it was almost time for the moment to begin, something Rothardan had only seen once and, at the time, he could see it again with someone else. Finding a nice tree to lean again, Rothardan opened his bag of neverending space and placed his whole arm in there, trying to find what he was looking for. BINGO! His hand grasping upon the wicker basket, Rothardan pulled it out and laid the blanket inside down so that there was something to sit on. Then he looked at Enelya and smiled, waving his hand over so she could sit with him.

"I've only seen this once, and I'm sure you'll like this as well. I'm guessing your quite in tune with nature right? Well... this is nature's art. You will love this."

Enelya Norvayn - February 2, 2008 07:10 AM (GMT)
Enelya laughed, and let out a subtle ‘woo’ as he scooped her up in his arms. This was a change from last time! The Plant Lady moved her arms against Rothardan’s skin, and around his neck, securing herself. He stretched his wings, and Enelya took a deep breath, bracing herself for the initial take off. Her eyes closed tightly as the dust fountained around them, encasing them in the perfect ascension. The sound of his masculine wings echoed through her ears and when she knew they were up in the sky she opened her eyes to be greeted by Rothardan’s wonderful smile. Enelya smiled back, and looked to the ground, saying a silent good-bye for now.

The two glided through the plains, finally swooping over the mountains. Enelya’s eyes widened at the stone creatures. She knew a lot about the creatures of the earth… But she had never seen these things before! Enelya tugged on Rothardan’s shirt, asking him what they were. She’d never even seen mountains before and were they huge! The Plant Lady couldn’t help but simply turn her head, and stare in awe at the beautiful formations.

Rothardan kept Enelya tightly in his arms, and the girl could not stop smiling. The mountains were beautiful, the sun was sinking slowly into the sky, and everything was at peace. Enelya was not concerned with her lack of memory, or how different she was, or even the loss of her previous tree sprite family. Everything seemed to dissipate and it was only she, and Rothardan, flying. She still could never get over the fact that she was in the arms of an avian male, flying. It was so much fun! But, before she knew it, Rothardan had landed within the forest of Norwood. Norwood! Enelya’s mouth curled into a huge smile, so happy to be back, and surrounded by trees.

She suddenly felt the urge to climb a tree, whisper to it, and spend all the remaining of the day in it, and even fall asleep within its branches… Instead she wrapped her arms around Rothardan, and smiled. “That flight was lovely!” She followed Rothardan over to where he had laid out a blanket for them, along with a wicker basket, and told her of something extraordinary that she would like. Enelya tilted her head and raised an eyebrow. “Nature’s art?” She laughed, “oh, I bet I will!”

Rothardan - February 2, 2008 11:17 AM (GMT)
The time had almost come, and Rothardan looked at the horizon so as to make sure everything was all set. The sun was beginning its course as it was about to set, and the Paladin smiled as it all began to fall into place.
"Here it comes Enelya, quick before you miss it."
Rothardan turned back towards the lake and watched the beginning of the sunset. The sky was getting darker now, but what was more special was what was happening upon the lake. From the new night sky, several small flickers of light began to fall, but upon closer inspection they were not just light flickers... they were fairies. They began to float gently down towards the lake surface and then stop on the water as if it were solid ground.

"When I was lost in these woods, I heard laughter coming from ahead of me. I followed it and found these fairies, who only come out at this time of night. When the sun fully sets, they'll depart sadly. But they probably saved me from wondering around the woods and starving..."

Soon the fairies were dancing upon the lake surface, laughing with delight as they did their own thing. Then, Rothardan's eyes caught a flicker of movement as one of the fairies came closer towards him. Rothardan outstretched his hand and let the fairy land upon it. It was a minuscule thing, and on closer inspection you could make out it's glowing body and wonderful wings. The fairy began to dance upon Rothardan's hand before doing cartwheels. Then, the time came when the fairies rose from the lake and began to rise up. The dancing fairy on Rothardan's hand rose up and then began to vibrate. Falling from it's body like tiny droplets of snow was dust. Not just any dust... Fairy Dust.

Watching the fairies rise into the night sky, to wherever they would depart to, Rothardan smiled as the beams of light slowly rose into the sky and disappeared. Then, looking down at the handful of fairy dust that he had suddenly acquired, Rothardan closed his hand and muttered an ancient celestial word. The fairy dust began to glow with a bright light as the Faerie Fire spell bathed the light in a powerful glow. Then, opening his hand, Rothardan thrust the dust up into the air above he and Enelya and watched as it slowly came down around them.

Enelya Norvayn - February 2, 2008 07:44 PM (GMT)
Enelya looked at Rothardan with a confused tilt of her head as she looked out towards the lake, excited at the same time. As the flickers of light began to appear, Enelya leaned forward slightly, trying to see what it was she was seeing. Was she really seeing this, or was it all her imagination? Rothardan seemed to be seeing it too, so it must be real. Enelya’s eyes widened as she realized what they were. They were tiny little fairies! The lady looked back at Rothardan in awe. “It’s… Beautiful.” She whispered. Was this really happening? Was she really accompanied by this man who never ceased to amaze her? First he had wings, then he was a celestial, and finally, he had befriended fairies…

"When I was lost in these woods, I heard laughter coming from ahead of me. I followed it and found these fairies, who only come out at this time of night. When the sun fully sets, they'll depart sadly. But they probably saved me from wondering around the woods and starving..."

He had been lost in the woods? Enelya wondered if she had met him sometime and hadn’t remembered it? She bit her lip, wondering if it was appropriate to ask or not. Maybe he had also come across a village of tree sprites, as well. Enelya knew that if he had come across her village, they would have helped him in a heartbeat… Wouldn’t they? Well, at least she would have.

Their laughter was like music, and Enelya couldn’t help but join them. Her face was bright with joy as she laughed along with them, and even stood, dancing with them. A few fairies fluttered around her head whilst she danced. Soon they were vibrating and Enelya was showered in their dust. She giggled, and danced over to Rothardan, looking up into the sky as the fairies seemed to disappear among the stars. Enelya stopped dancing, watching Rothardan perform some kind of spell. The glow emitting from his spell was beautiful, and Enelya couldn’t help but wrap her arms around her torso, and watch awestruck.

Rothardan threw the dust into the air, and as it came falling down upon them, Enelya couldn’t help but smile. There were so many feelings racing through her mind, her heart, and her body that she’d never experienced before. What was it? Why was her heart speeding and bounding? Why did it feel that her stomach was flipping and could quite possibly crawl out through her throat? Why was it that when she looked into his eyes, she could see the beauty in the world? Enelya blushed, and looked at her feet, not really understanding why everything was happening around her as quickly as it was. It was as if someone held the fast forward button and refused to let go. The moments passed her by before she could really realize what had just happened. Would these memories fall behind a dark wall like all of her other ones?

Rothardan - February 3, 2008 12:17 PM (GMT)
As Enelya wrapped her arms around Rothardan's torso, the Paladin looked deep within her eyes and wondered how on earth he would say what he wanted to say to her. How could he tell how everytime she was near, Rothardan felt like he could do anything? How could he tell her that Rothardan when he looked into those beautiful eyes, the evil of the world just seemed to disappear and all that was left was all that was Holy? Though he never thought it would happen so quickly, Rothardan knew he had fallen head over heels in love with Enelya, and that she was unlike anyone the Paladin had ever met before.

She was kind and always smiling, wanting to help people in her own way. Whereas Rothardan helped those by smiting evil and banishing demons, she helped those by smiling and making them smile back. Even when she blushed and looked at her feet, Rothardan thought that was kinda cute, the way that she would look at the ground when something alien happened and she didn't know what to do.

Wrapping one arm around the young lady, Rothardan took free hand and placed it under Enelya's chin, lifting it so her gaze met his. Looking deep into those wonderful lavender eyes, Rothardan tried to say something. But he could not, for his heart had began to beat like a Wardrum and his legs began to feel weak. Never before had Rothardan been so nervous about being in the presence of another person.

And so, the Paladin closed his eyes slowly as some alien force made him gather the courage to lean in closer. His heart began to beat louder and louder as he drew closer to Enelya, the smell of lavender and flowers once again entering his nose and taking him away from Norwood Lake, from the whole of Chaon, into a place where only this moment mattered, where it was just Rothardan and Enelya and that was it.

Ever so closer... Rothardan's lips drew closer to Enelya's...

Enelya Norvayn - February 3, 2008 08:25 PM (GMT)
Their eyes met, and Enelya felt her heart sink into her chest, feeling as if it were going to fall out of her back. She could see something deep within them, his eyes seemed to hold something there, and as she saw the rest of his face, there was something on his mind, she could tell. Her eyes were soft, a nice compliment to his soft blue ones. His face was soft too, despite his scars running across his face like blatantly painful memories. Enelya reached up, and placed her hand, letting it glide along his cheek. But soon, she removed it as she became embarrassed.

Rothardan soon remedied her embarrassment as he placed his hand under her chin, lifting her face. She smiled, slightly, feeling as if she could melt in his arms. They were so close; Enelya wasn’t sure what was happening. Though… Soon, he began to lean into her, closing his eyes. Nothing was around them, the trees, the lake, and the fairies… All gone. It was just she and Rothardan, and it was beautiful. She felt so safe, so protected, and that even though she didn’t exactly know who she was, it didn’t matter with him. But… She barely knew this man. It was all happening like strikes of lightning.

She’d never felt these feelings before. Enelya was simply running on instincts, on what her heart was telling her to do. Something deep within her told her that that was all she could do, was simply follow her heart in whatever she did. Did she… love this man? Enelya loved everyone she saw, everyone she became friends with. But Rothardan? It was… something else. Something…more.

Enelya’s vision darkened as her own eyes started to close, and she leaned in as well, to where their lips finally met. Joy washed over Enelya as her lips pressed against Rothardan’s. It was a sensation that nothing else seemed to match, and Enelya laughed softly and smiled. She couldn’t help it; this moment was so pure, and so innocent it was like music. It encircled the two into a bliss that could only be felt by them in that instance. It was truly beautiful. Enelya wrapped her arms around Rothardan, and could feel his heart, as she was sure he could feel hers.

Rothardan - February 3, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
When Enelya's lips met Rothardan's, his whole world seemed to just stop. Time stopped. Evil stopped. Everything stopped. All that mattered was this moment in time right now, where Rothardan and Enelya were standing there, glowing fairy dust raining around them, both of them kissing each other. This was the most perfect moment there ever was for Rothardan, he was with someone who made him feel whole again. There were times when The Paladin became lonely because of all the work he was doing. And now, he had found someone, the most perfect woman ever. In his opinion, Enelya and he were perfect for each other.

The Sun and the Flower.

Her lips tasted like sweet nectar, and Rothardan enjoyed the taste. For what seemed like forever, they stood there kissing. Rothardan's hand moved from her chin to her waist and the other hand moved towards the back of her head, where he felt her silk smooth hair. As Enelya wrapped her arms around Rothardan, bringing the two of them closer, the Paladin could feel her heartbeat. It was nice to know that it wasn't just his heart pumping madly with feelings.

After what seemed like forever, Rothardan heard Enelya laugh. Pulling away (sadly), Rothardan looked at the woman who had stolen his heart and saw she was smiling, Rothardan smiled back at her... a smile that came from his heart. He knew that his heart was pumping madly because he felt a different kind of love for Enelya. To become a Paladin, one must learn how to love, for that is where you draw your strength from. But Rothardan loved Enelya in a whole different way... stronger than any love he had felt.

Then suddenly, he remembered something. It was night-time and they needed to get back to a city at some point. Rothardan didn't have a tent with him, and Enelya didn't bring anything at all. Not only that, it would be a good twenty minute flight back to Taras...

Enelya Norvayn - February 3, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
Enelya became lost and found within Rothardan’s embrace. She felt herself radiating, and rejoicing in the taste of his lips. He cradled her head, and wrapped his arm around her; she felt like turning into liquid underneath his touch. She could feel the glow of both of them, not only from the fairy dust glittered around them, but also because of their emotions seemingly pulsing from their skin. She felt as if Rothardan fit within the missing hole in her heart, despite her shattered memories. Perhaps this was the new beginning she needed? Her past didn’t matter, what mattered now, was that she had found someone who made her happy.

Rothardan pulled away, and Enelya smiled brightly, cupping his face in her hands, just simply looking at him. She had just experienced her first kiss with an angel, a paladin, someone who sought out justice and peace for humankind. Enelya was lost for words, there were so many things she could say, and wanted to say, but at the same time… It was as if she didn’t need to say a thing, for Rothardan’s eyes and her own communicated wonders.

However fatigue suddenly washed over her, and she felt her eyes growing heavy with a pending sleep. Enelya reached towards Rothardan’s hand, taking it within her own, and leading him towards a tree. She tilted her head slightly, “can you climb a tree? We can sleep here tonight…” Oh! She was going to sleep in a tree again! It was so exciting! Not only was she going to be able to re-enter her comfort zone of the beautiful tree; but she was going to be able to share it with Rothardan. To the Plant Lady, there was nothing more comfortable and soothing than sleeping in the trees, listening to the soft rustle of the leaves, and the melodic chirping of birds in the morning.

Rothardan - February 3, 2008 11:00 PM (GMT)
Rothardan looked deep into Enelya, her hands cupping his face. Her skin was so smooth, like velvet or silk. But Rothardan could see the fatigue on her face and knew that it was getting late, and that he should find her a place where she could sleep. He could pay for a room at a tavern for her, maybe fly her back to the Faust Inn and get her a room there. But Enelya, it seemed, had other ideas. Taking Rothardan's hand, she led him towards a tree that looked like it was the largest of them all, with branches at the bottom and large pile of leaves to boot.

“Can you climb a tree?" she asked, "We can sleep here tonight…”

Rothardan looked up and couldn't see how he could be comfortable in a tree, but then had a thought. Maybe he could be comfortable, maybe these dead branches/twigs and leaves could be useful. Spreading his wings, Rothardan flew up to the tree. Then, using the power of telekinesis, Rothardan lifted up the branches to the part of the tree where there was plenty of space. After a few seconds, Rothardan had made a sort of mattress out branches and twigs that were arranged in a criss-cross grid. Then he used the leaves to cover them... and there were plenty of leaves. Rothardan tested the make-shift bed... it wasn't too bad, a bit lumpy. But who cared?

Rothardan then flew back down again and took Enelya in his grasp again, ready to fly up to the top where he had made his mattress. Taking off, Rothardan slowly rose to the area and indicated what he had done. Everything was ready... and boy was Rothardan tired!

Enelya Norvayn - February 3, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
When Rothardan looked at Enelya… She felt like flying. She had no wings, but just the way he seemed to fill her with happiness just by the way he looked at her… Anything was possible. He was the only other person who seemed to exist at this moment; every other person faded from Enelya’s mind, and it was lovely.

Enelya looked up into the tree as Rothardan lifted the branches with his mind, wondering what he was doing. She crossed her arms, waiting for him to finish. She laughed a bit, and when he returned she raised an eyebrow. He grabbed her hand, lifting them into the tree, and Enelya’s face brightened, smiling. The Plant Lady gave him a small hugged and giggled. “Rothardan, it’s lovely!” Enelya sat down; a few leaves jumping up as her weight disturbed their rest. She lay down and smiled. It was very comfortable, even though she could have simply slept in the branches. It was something she’d done as far as she could remember… Which of course…coincidentally, wasn’t very far.

The Plant Lady moved the leaves over her body for warmth, and waved for Rothardan to join her. He’d gone through such measures to make this bed that the least he could do was lay down and enjoy it. Enelya thought that the Paladin worked too hard… he needed to relax, and maybe take a vacation. You could see the weight in his eyes… How tired he was… yet how eager he was to spend his time with her. She opened her arms, so that he could be near her, and they could share their warmth in the tree as the temperatures of the night were rapidly falling.

Rothardan - February 3, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
When they reached the tree-bed, Rothardan delved into his bag of never-ending space and took out his old travelling cloak. Then, using his telekinesis, he grabbed the basket intended for the picnic and placed it back into the bag of never-ending space. Oh well, that could be breakfast. The temperatures were falling and Rothardan took the cloak and covered Enelya and himself within it. He could tell by the way that Enelya laid down that she had slept on a tree before. Then again, she looked like a forest nymph... and the forest nymphs were usually one with the trees.

Enelya opened her arms out to Rothardan and the Paladin obliged by hugging up to her, smiling. The two of them cuddled each other underneath the cosy travelling cloak, and even though the cloak wasn't large enough for the both of them, it was still enough to satisfy the Paladin. For so long, he had wished for a moment like this... a moment to spend with someone he loved. Now he was going to spend the entire night with Enelya, the woman he loved.

Leaning in closer, Rothardan kissed Enelya on the lips again, tasting the nectar like taste on her lips again. His hands began to stroke the side of her face gently, then move down to he arms and finally her hips where they stayed. Everything about the day was perfect, the way it began and the way it ended. Enelya had given Rothardan new life and he wanted to spend every last moment of it with her.

Enelya Norvayn - February 4, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
Enelya smiled as Rothardan covered the two with his cloak, and even though she thought she would receive more warmth from the leaves, she didn’t protest against the cloak. It was nice he was thinking about her. Rothardan hugged her, as they relaxed in the tree together, enjoying the night. She closed her eyes, but Rothardan had leaned into her, kissing her lips again.

The Plant Lady smiled, and returned his kiss, her stomach doing flips again. A beautiful sensation of something so wonderful she could not describe it rushed through her body as their lips met once again. Enelya’s hand brushed his cheek, as he did the same to her. She smiled into their kiss, and broke it slightly, kissing his cheek, and then wrapping her arms around him, whispering into his ear, “I love you,” before pressing her lips against his again. Her hair was spread out against the leaves, standing out brightly, the light blue against the dead browns and reds.

Enelya broke their kiss again, and rested her head on Rothardan’s chest, closing her eyes and hearing his heart beat beneath his chest. She brushed her hand across his chest, making small designs with her fingers, and slowly, drifted away into sleep. Enelya fell asleep with a smile on her face… For this was the first night she would sleep being held by someone she truly loved with all of her heart.

Rothardan - February 4, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
“I love you,”
Three words which made Rothardan's heart beat like a Wardrum on the front line of the Arda war. When Enelya leaned in and kissed him again, Rothardan left anything bad behind and let this wonderful woman take him to the celestial clouds. It felt like a blissful eternity before Enelya broke the kiss and placed her head upon the Paladin's chest, drawing a finger across it so lovingly. Rothardan moved towards Enelya's ear, and after kissing it affectionately, said:

"I love you too Enelya, no-one will love you the way I do."
He watched Enelya smile before sleep caught up with her and closed her eyes. Rothardan watched as his love travelled from the realm of reality to the realm of dreams, where ones dreams could come true at the very thought of the dreamer.

But for Rothardan, his dreams had already come true. Eneyla had told him that she loved him, something that made Rothardan's heart pound with affection and love. He wanted to shout out to the sky and to the stars that he was in love, and that he had found the most beautiful and kind woman to grace the lands of Imythess. It was only the fact that Enelya was asleep that stopped him doing so. Instead, Rothardan breathed out and stroked Enelya's hair once more, kissing her on the head before closing his eyes. He was going to spend the night with a woman whom loved him with all her heart, and the feeling was mutual. Rothardan couldn't imagine anyone else who he wanted to spend his life with.

His eyes closed, Rothardan let the throws of fatigue take him away to dreams. With Enelya here with him, he was no longer afraid of sleeping, no longer afraid of his powers running amok and giving him nightmares. The mere presence of the woman he loved gave him strength that the paladin thought he didn't have. Rothardan began to dream...

...and for the first time in a long time... he didn't have any nightmares.
