Kyrus sat in the Inn wondering if Xenith would show up, he had begun to like her and he wished to spend more time with her. He hummed softly as he waited and sipped his ale, his cat Samson rubbed himself against his leg and purred contentedly.

Xenith walked carfully into the inn. pretending she could see she made the motion of looking around the inn. Kyrus had asked her to meet him here. Of coarse she couldnt see if he was already here or not. Her only hope was for him to be watching for her.

Kyrus had indeed been waiting for Xenith and he got to his feet and went to her when he saw her enter the Inn. "Oh Xenith your here," he said happily and took her arm gently to help her to the table he had for them "I am glad you could make it." He knew that she was blind but thought about it not, she was a very beautiful young woman and he was happy to be with her, he kissed her hand softly and gave it a gentle, friendly squeeze. Friendly for the moment, he looked forward to travelling with her, seeing more of Imythess.

Xenyth smiled and blushed when Kyrus kissed her hand. She could hear the smile on his face when he spoke to her. He was happy she was there. Blushing a little more she pretended to look around again. Where are we going to sit and what did you want to talk to me about? She could hear there was alot of people in the tavern because it was very loud. Someone got up somewhat close to her. She had heard the chair scrape across the floor. She didnt want to move and fall over someone but she wanted to move to get out of the way. She stayed put hoping she wouldnt get bumped into.

Kyrus blushed and he knew that Xenith would feel this "I..umm," he said shyly as he led her to their table and helped her to sit down. He blushed again and took her hand in his softly "I wanted to talk to you in private, I know that we have only just met Xenith, but I feel drawn to you," he said and blushed deeply. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as he spoke to her "I like you Xenith," he said shyly "I look forward to travelling with you and getting to know you better."

As he sat her down at the table, she could feel his uncomfortability. It felt like he was going to tell her something that was hard to say. Her brow creased with confusion. At his confession her brow creased more. She had that feeling with him as well but had been reluctant to verbalize it. She looked down at the table, red creeping to her cheeks. Kyrus, Im more than looking forward to our travels together. I can not express to you the gratitude I feel for you wanting to travel with me. Like you, I too feel a draw to you. I have been reluctant to verbalize it because I did not wish to interfer or become an unwanted burden. I think that traveling with you would be good to get to know you but I will not lie to you and say that I am quite nervous.

Kyrus cotinued holding her hand as he smiled at her and spoke softly "Y..you like me too?" he asked nervously and blushed deeply. He looked down at the table and he knew that Xenith would feel his shyness, he took her hand again and moved closer to her "Xenith do not think that, you will never be a burden to me. I am greatly looking forward to travelling with you. If you have feelings for me I would prefer you tell me of them. I like you Xenith, when I met you I thought, here is a woman I can be myself with, here is someone you understands me." He looked across at her "Do not be afraid to tell me how you feel Xenith, you know how I feel about you," he smiled kindly to her.

Her stomach turned into knots. It felt like a million things were crawling through her body. It was a feeling that she had had only once before. Being blind, where she came from, not many men had been knocking at her door. In fact noone had. She had had her crush, like all girls do, but had never had a boyfriend. She heard him move closer to her. Kyrus, listen to me. I am broken merchandise. You dont want me. I am drawn to you, yes. I even have unexplainable feelings for you. The question is, is that enough? Is our spontainious attraction to eachother going to be enough to get us through all the hard times? Traveling together may bring us closer together but it could also rip us appart. I want nothing more than to.... Oh hell. Kyrus im blind! I cant even see you. The eyes may look vibrant and bright but they are really not. I dont know what you look like, I havnt touched your face to see. What would a nice man like yourself want with a blind girl like me? Like i said im broken merchandise. As she said the last, she looked down as a tear droped from her violet eyes. The eyes that she cursed and praised everyday for being vibrant enough that people couldnt tell she was blind most times.

Kyrus' face broke into a warm smile and he took Xenith's hand and placed it on his cheek "Xenith, I know you are blind, I have known all along. I do not care about that, you ask what would a nice elf like myself want with a woman like you? Xenith I like you, I really I do. I care not that you cannot see, we can get around that. I care for you, deeply care, even love," he said "I love you for who you are, the fact that you are blind changes nothing, it does not nor will it ever change the way I feel about you," he said truthfully in a voice which showed his kindness and his caring in each word he spoke. She wiped the tear from her eyes "Do not cry Xenith, I care for you deeply. Yes I believe the feelings we have for each other are enough, we will get through the hard times Xenith I promise you," he said holding her hand to his cheek "I like you a lot, even love. As I have said repeatedly I care not that you are blind, you are still a very beautiful and charming young woman. The fact that you are blind does not make you any less of a person, those words about you being broken merchandise is complete nonsense, " he lapsed into the elven tongue which she would understand as he looked at her with kindness in every gesture "Xenith," he said "I assure you that I will never leave you. We will travel together, we will get through it all together, I...I care for you deeply," he decided to take a chance and leaning forward he kissed her softly on the lips for several moments "Xenith, since I first met you I knew that you were blind but did that stop me beginning to fall in love with you, no it did not," he suddenly hugged her before kissing her softly again.

As his lips meet hers she couldnt help but to be lost in the moment. For the moments it lasted she let herself be carried away. As he drew away she longed for it again. For the comfortability that was inexplainable there. He kissed her again, shorter this time. when he pulled away she came back to her own. Kyrus, although I wish I could be as forthright as you have been I can not. You promise me things that you do not know the outcome to and although it is sweet and kind in nature, I can only fear a broken heart in the end. I wish to travel with you, yes. More than anything infact. But if we are to travel together there is always the distinct possibility that one of us will get hurt, even killed, along the way. For that reason and that reason alone I wish to take our relationship on a friend level only for now. I know not of you. Perhaps during our travels together something more may grow from that but that is not a step I wish to take at the present moment. I hope you are not mad at me. Please understand I only wish what is best for the both of us.

Kyrus shook his head "No Xenith, I cannot do that," he said and moved closer to her again "My feelings for you are too strong. Xenith please, I promise you nothing will happen to me, you will not break my heart," he leant forward and kissed her again "I care for you greatly Xenith, please let us be together, I will not break your heart I promise," he said with a pleading tone in his voice which she would pick up. He took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze "I cannot travel with you as merely a friend, I care for you to greatly. Please Xenith let us at least try to travel as a couple, you will see that it will work." He kissed her again and the kiss showed how much he cared for her, his desire to be with her as a couple "Xenith, I believe that if we journey together as a couple great things will happen and I think..I think I may be able to heal your eyes." He looked at her fondly "Let us travel as a couple, I will prove that it will work."
