Goosebumps rose across his flesh at the sheer thought of meeting yet another of the Goddesses. No less to ask something from one of them…One he didn’t even know with the exception of her name; that and the fact that he had only seen her once during her Birthday, which hardly counted for anything. Plus, he highly doubted she would even recall him even being present at the celebration, though it really didn’t matter. At least not now anyway…
Drawing in a deep breath, a single hand would rise up to one of the large doors and place itself palm flat against it, before giving it a light push. Slowly the door opened with a low groan, allowing the flood of light to rush into the darker lit halls. As soon as it had opened, he would emerge through the threshold and carefully close the door behind him. With that done, he would simply stand with his hands at his side, unsure where to go from here or even what to do. Perhaps she would know of him being here like his Sister did? Maybe if he announced his presence, but the question was would she hear him? After all, it wasn’t exactly like the place was all that small. Shrugging inwardly, he decided to give it a shot, unsure if it would really work or not, “Veronna…I have come to see you and ask a favor of you!” There was a certain nervousness to his voice, but moreso uncertainty than anything.
After all, what right did he have to ask something from someone he didn’t even know? And what made him think that she would be willing to help him in the first place? As the thoughts wandered through his mind, he began to rethink coming here…
Veronna sat on the floor with Vaoulrah, the child smiling as her mother tossed around a glowing ball of light, which hovered in the air by itself when tossed. It please Veronna to see her daughter so happy, admiring the innocence in the child's green eyes. She did not remember ever being that innocent. But she had grown up in the Dark Lands, and she had learned how to kill at a very young age, perhaps not this age, but close to it. The child tried to grab the orb, but it moved to fast, as it zipped around the little girl. Veronna smiled, stroking the child's hair with the back of her hand. She felt someone enter the temple and sighed. It seemed this happened whenever she was enjoying herself. But she had a duty, as a goddess, she had to be there for those who asked for her. Or else people would no longer look to her, and she would be like how she was a few years ago.
She kissed Vaoulrah on the head and stood, straightening out her dark red tunic as she did so. She grabbed her scimitars from her bed and attached them to her belt. She knew Vaoulrah would be fine by herself, so she wasted no time heading down the stairs. She heard a voice call out to her, asking to see her, and to ask a favor. She sighed again, for many people came here for favors, but most of the time she could not do all the favors, for she could only do so much for people.
She finished down the steps, and walked out in to the main hall way leading to the front doors, where she saw a figure standing. The torches were not lit, so visibility was not very good at the moment, though she was able to see in the dark just fine. She was able to tell it was a half-elf male standing there. She walked forward, the torches around her lighting instantly. "Many come here asking favors." She said as she drew closer, the torches lit down the entire hall, revealing her features to the man standing before her. "Now you see me. What is the favor you seek from such a high power?" She asked, a slight note of impatience in her voice, mostly because she was disturbed from her time with her daughter.
