Title: Trying...? For what?...
Description: [Open to anyone]

She was trying. Trying for what though? She hated the gods, all of them, even if she had never meet one, she just knew she didn't like them. So why was she here? Not even she really knew. All her life she lived without a god, everyday, she pondered on what they were, and who they really were, but she always stuck on the thought that they were fools, ignorant fools, who hid away in their temples. She wanted to leave here, but something dragged her on, an annoying nagging feeling, and Blackquill's annoying voice making her go on to the Cathedral of Light.

Sava walked into the main hall, wearing a long, black dress. One sword was at her side, her lightning blade. As she walked, her knee-high leathered boots made small noise against the floor. Those about in the room, would glance up, but they all went back to what they were doing.

When in the middle of the hall, she stopped, and looked about, wondering where she should go, since, she had never been in a temple before, she had avoided them all her life, same with gods.

Blackquill, who was wrapped around her neck, got up, and flew into the air, making a small buzzing noise from her wings. The fly dragon flew above peoples heads, and then through doorways and then back to Sava, and this time resting on her left shoulder. "Your no help, Quill." Hissed Sava. She stayed still, very uneasy here, and feeling so out of place. She was tempted to turn and leave, since she was just neutral aligned, and was in a place of good. She felt like she didn't belong here, though, she never felt she belonged in any temple, even if this was the first one she's been in.

"I don't know where to go either..." Whimpered Blackquill's voice in Sava's head. Annoyed at how the fly dragon and brought her here, and didn't even know where they should go, like to pray, or something else? Sava even had no idea what to do in a temple, and it seemed that Quill didn't either, though, the fly dragon had always bragged about being in several temples before being found by Sava.

She walked a little further in the hall, before stopping again, then, made a silent growl in her throat, turned on her heel. Being here annoyed her.

Enelya’s breath was taken away. This temple was beautiful! Enelya felt warm as the light surrounding the temple encased her. It wasn’t the same jittery feeling she got from the sun when she was eating… But a different one; as if she was under a huge blanket. It had been a funny course of events that she found herself out from the city, in the desert, and finally at the threshold of a temple. Though, Enelya’s life was just funny that way. She always went where the turns of events took her.

Her small boots scuffled along the stone floors as Enelya looked curiously with her lavender eyes at the architecture and smiled at the people who looked her way. Enelya’s long dark green skirt swished against her legs, and she re-adjusted her brown vest, covering her beige tunic with flowing sleeves. Her long blue hair fell against her back, and as usual sticks and flowers were intertwined all through it. A nearby woman had frowned upon her, saying she looked like a tree had swallowed her up and spit her out. Enelya nodded innocently and continued on her way.

She then noticed a young woman who looked almost as out of place as she. However, this woman looked out of place for a different reason. She did not have unnaturally colored eyes or hair; she just looked very uncomfortable. Then, Enelya noticed her little dragon. Enelya grinned and approached the young woman. “Hello there, my name is Enelya.” She scratched the back of her head, pulling out a stick, and tossing it to the ground. “Are you from around here?” Enelya tilted her head slightly at her question.

Enelya was by no means religious. She respected the spirits of the forest… And the forces of nature… But that was about it. To be frank, she did not even really know who the gods and goddesses were. She assumed that she was in the Deity of Light from the temple’s engravings… But was not aware of who it was, exactly. Some of the people did not look to friendly, so Enelya refrained from asking. Though the woman she spoke to seemed lost, and needed someone to talk to. Enelya did not think she would be much help, but sometimes its better to have someone to talk to, than no one at all. At least, that’s the way her little logical thinking worked.

Sava had started heading towards the door leading out. She wanted to get as far away from the temple as soon as possible. She didn't belong here, anyone who saw her, or knew her, knew she didn't belong here. She would have continued to leave, but then she heard someone speak to her. So, the dragon-woman turned to face the strange looking woman, who had twigs in her hair? She hesitated a moment before she answered. She was a bit interested in this woman here before her, but she also thought her quite odd.

"Hello. I'm Savarkael..." She said. She would normally have people just call her Sava, but only people she really knows, and considers friends. She watched the girl a moment before she decided to answer the questions. "Sort of... I'm not from this temple though. I live in Imythess, though, I travel the lands. This is my first time here... and first time in a temple." She said the last part a bit quietly, and glanced at the many other people in the hall.

She was starting to get a bit uneasy. Maybe she feared gods? And just decided to say she hated them to cover that up? She frowned a little. She hardly feared anything, her nightmares helped her with that, even though she still feared her nightmares at times, especially when they show the head demon. She shuddered slightly at the thought, then calmed herself a little.

She continued to watch the woman again, before she spoke once more. "Are you from around here?" She returned the question. Blackquill, the fly dragon, cruled around Sava's neck lightly again, and Quill's dark eyes watched the odd woman.

Noticing the woman’s hesitation, Enelya offered her a big smile, showing her that she wouldn’t hurt a fly. Really. By killing a fly, she could be outdoing some frog’s dinner, and she would never want that. Enelya twisted a lock of hair around her green tinged finger, looking around idly. Though her attention soon averted back to the woman Savarkael. She nodded, continuing to grin. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Savarkael.” Just then, a small flash wiggled its way into Enelya’s mind.

“Always repeat the person’s name back to them when you first meet them. It’s the best of manners, and shows that you are listening to them…”

Enelya’s eyes squinted, as she tried to match a face to the voice she heard in her head. There were little things that brought her to and from her past, but she could never understand them. They never made sense. She rubbed her forehead, trying to make it go away, or at least, make some kind of connection.

"Sort of... I'm not from this temple though. I live in Imythess, though, I travel the lands. This is my first time here... and first time in a temple."

Enelya nodded. “Ooh, so are you looking to become religious or something? You did seem to be a bit out of place.” She looked down at her boots and laughed lightly. “Well, I guess I shouldn’t be talking, huh?” She looked up with a sheepish smile across her face. But as Enelya continued to study the young lass, she noticed that she did not look up at accepting a God’s worship into her life. She nodded her head towards the door to the temple. Enelya felt she had received enough religion for the time being. The people were so old and crusty waddling along the walls. “Would you like to step outside with me?” As Enelya asked her question, Savarkael proposed her own:

"Are you from around here?"

Enelya’s lavender eyes widened, and she waved her hands in a definite no. “Oh no, I traveled here from Norwood Forest. I’m not really sure how I ended up here… I guess this is just where my feet decided to bring me.” She shrugged, not really worried about something as trivial as where she was. She found that she liked to go to new places. She was learning things all the time, and felt… bigger. She wasn’t sure how she accomplished something like that… Perhaps it was the knowledge of her surroundings, rather than just the knowledge of the forest. The world was so much bigger than her little forest! It was so exciting!

((OOC: Damn my holiday inactivity!))

"Savarkael Nightwind. It is indeed a pleasure to have you at my temple. Though I assure you had you come in the form you prefer you would be greeted much more openly then you assume. My people are akin to the many beings that visit me in my temple, and you would be treated and fed with the utmost respect." His purple eyes slid from Savarkael to the other guest, and he reached about his mind for a name. "Enelya Norvayn is it? Never before have you had much of a fascination in religion. Perhaps you have come to simply learn, as you do not seem the type of person to take a religion into your heart." He made a slight bow to the two of them.

Earlier on his day had been quite amusing. His typical plotting with Tock had turned out as it usually did, with Gregory eventually agreeing with the moogle, and it wasn't really until later that he had some omens of an interesting day. He was working on his creations of life, a simple bird, and he had been experimenting with the color differences when he somehow managed to create a bat-like creature. It had the wings and feet of a bat, with the make-up of a bird. The creature took to him as a parent, and in an act of mercy he allowed the beast free-roam in his cathedral. Many a focussed priest was startled by the odd creature in search of some snacks, but Gregory was quite sure it would fit in.

After his incident with the creature a few smaller things occurred, such as books misplacing themselves in the library, a presumed impossibility, right down to resident white mice giving birth to mice streaked with odd colors of pinks and yellows. Generally the day had been an interesting one for the god, and surely it would not end yet. He stood now before a dragon-kin and an odd druid. He was subtly reminded of an old friend Kalius Aldura, and thus he felt a connection to the druid, but the dragon he had not yet met. Oh, he had met dragons before. Golden dragons and even the rare silver dragons, but never had a red or a black come to his temple yet. Gregory indicated for the two to sit at a small marble table located in the quietest corner of the busy temple.

"Nevermind the looks of some of the people within my temple. The majority of them are scholars, and busy ones at that. Unfortunately these scholars donate their time to studies aside from etiquette, but we are working on correcting this. Now then, go take a seat. I won't have you standing about after your travels." Gregory patted both of the women on the shoulders to indicate their seating plan once again. The two of them would indeed be interesting, especially if this odd druid was at all like Kalius.

"Pleasure..." Mumbled Sava. She looked down, one of her hands gripped the hilt of her lightning blade. She wondered who this odd looking woman was, she didn't look to be from here, and she had to admit it did look like a tree had spit her out, and that made Sava smirk a little. When Enelya asked if she was going to become religious, Sava snorted in laughter. "Hell no." She said, though, when she thought about it, she was wondering if that was why she was here in this temple of light. If she did decide to follow a god, she very muchly doubted it would be the god of light, since Sava often killed, and could be quite evil at times.

But then, she thought how would she ever follow a god, or learn how they are? She hated them all, even if she has never met one before.

Norwood forest. Sava has been their several times, with friends sometimes, though, she's mostly gone to the lake, as she finds that place peaceful, and it brought out her good memories, of when she had first been there with her friend Shain. She shook her head a little, wasn't time for her to slip into her own thoughts. Before she could say anything at all, the god of light showed up. She froze very still, as her name was spoken, and she was sure no one knew her last name, well, maybe someone, but she didn't expect to ever hear it. She stared at the god of light for a long moment, then frowned. Come in her real form? She figured it may have frightened some people, and sides, it was a hassle sometimes to go about in her huge draconic form.

"Next time I'll keep that in mind." She mumbled. He indicated a place to sit, and she was a bit unsure at first, but then he patted her on her shoulder, and she flinched, but then strode over to the table. She stood besides the chair, before she sat down in it, rather stiffly too. She was uncomfortable in the presence of a god. In the presence of a person she would insult, and make fun of, that was how she always ways. She bit her tongue, and hoped she wouldn't say something rude, and insulting, she wasn't here to do that, but she still couldn't figure out way she was.

The grip on the woman’s sword made Enelya a bit nervous. She was often made uneasy by cutting and slicing weapons… More so axes than swords, however. Perhaps it was from being so close to trees all her life those certain weapons weren’t exactly healthy for her botanical friends. Though her mumbled words eased Enelya a little, the woman’s hand still remained on the sword. Enelya noticed a small smirk on the woman’s face, and was curious as to why, but refrained from asking. She thought that the woman should smile more, from that little smirk; Enelya concluded Savarkael probably had a beautiful smile.

"Hell no."

Enelya looked at the girl strangely, wondering why she was in a temple, if she was not even considering religion. Well, Enelya was one to talk, she was just curious, really. Maybe Savarkael was here to explore as well. Who knows? Enelya didn’t and by the looks of the bitter woman, she wasn’t really open to talking about it. Enelya shrugged, and lifted her head slightly to admire the carvings surrounding her. It really was a lovely place in her opinion... Just lacked plants... Most of the towns she’s visited had nice woodworkings, but nothing like these in the temple.

Then, a voice, seemingly out of nowhere asked for Enelya’s name. She turned around to see a purple-eyed man like herself. She wondered if he was anything at all like her since he too, had purple eyes. Enelya refused to come to a sudden conclusion, because disappointments like that would be horrible. She did not know of anyone else who had them… But it could just be a coincidence. Enelya raised an eyebrow as he seemed to not only know her name, but that she came here simply on curiosity’s terms, and nothing more. Savarkael didn’t seem to like this man very much, and Enelya wasn’t sure why. He was nice enough. In fact, she was quite flattered that he bowed towards them. Never before had someone done that to her! “Lovely to meet you as well!” Despite her confusion that he knew her name, she wasn’t going to be rude. “Yes, I am Enelya… Who are you?”

Then, it hit her. Enelya’s eyes started to wander, and she noticed a large engraving of a man, who looked similar to the one in front of her. Her own purple eyes grew wide and her mouth almost dropped. “Oh my goodness! Excuse me! Your, um, Godliness?” She blushed profusely; completely embarrassed that she did not know that HE was the God of Light! No wonder he knew her name and intentions… She wasn’t exactly sure how to address a God, but she figured it had to do with some title of respect, and Godliness was the best she could come up with at the moment, because “Sir” just didn’t really cover it.

She listened to the man talk with a new awe, and sat down as he indicated, despite her new friend’s hesitation. Enelya would have normally patted the woman on the knee, comforting her, telling her to loosen up, but Enelya figured she wouldn’t like that very much. They’d only met, and Enelya considered them as friends, but she had a feeling Savarkael did not. As she sat down, she clutched her twiggy figure clutched her knees, and she gave a bit smile to the God of Light. Oh, she was so excited! How many times do you go visit a temple and get to meet the deity in person! “You really have a lovely temple… But…” Her voice trailed off, unsure if it was her place to pose upon suggestions for one’s temple. “I think some lovely plants that thrived in the light would do wonders for decorating…” She scratched the back of her head, nervously, as her hand bumped into another twig, she frowned for only a moment, pulling it out gently, and twiddling it in her fingers. She didn't know how long this God was going to hang around, so she figured she ought to get her opinion in soon! This place had wonderous engravings and such... But what good is stone when you can have some plants?
