Title: No Regret [P]
Description: Theron only please

Miss Miyako - December 6, 2007 02:05 AM (GMT)
The wind caressed Miyakos face as she walked towards the beach. Her short black hair had grown a little since she first came to Taras. She wanted longer hair, she wasn't a big fan of short hair. A smile formed on her face as she thought of it. As her hair flowed in the wind, her deep purple eyes scanned the horizon. It was beauitful, as the sun began to set. She took her shoes off, as her feet wanted to feel the ground again, nature. Her feet stepped onto the sand and she smiled. She really enjoyed it here. She sat down, as the wind began to pick up. It was peaceful, and quiet and she loved it.

She layed down on her back, closing her eyes and laughing. She finally had peace. She didn't care if anyone came and thought she was crazy, laughing for no apparent reason, she didn't care one bit. Letting go of her shoes that where in her hands, it fell next to her. She listened to the silence, and she sighed. She wanted to fall asleep, but she couldn't, as something may have been stopping her to.

Opening her eyes slowly, she could see the clouds covering the skies. Sighing, she put her hands behind her head and began to think of what had been happening the last few days. She was glad that she had set on this journey, rather than stay home. She was proud of herself to actually follow her dreams. She knew this journey was going to be something she would never regret.

With his eyes closed, attention was drawn from Theron's ears to his feet. The beautiful sound of the waves was interupted when his bare feet went from hard, splintering wood to the soft, warm sand. He stopped a moment, letting his toes warm and the salty air comb his hair. Thoughts eluded him, his mind blanking itself out to escape from daily troubles. The words and phrases of men meant nothing compared to the words and phrases of the wind and water. Sound, smell, taste touch... If he were to open his eyes now, he would most certainly jump into the sea, just to be carried away by it forever into his dreams.

Taking a deep, salty breath, he continued with his violet eyes closed until he heard a laughter in the distance, almost silenced by the jealousy of the waves. It was then he caught a glimpse at what he thought was a girl laying in the sand. Theron glanced between the sea and the woman, who appeared deceased, before picking up a nearby stick and slowly walking over to her. He could barely make out her open eyes, but even he knew the dead sometimes slept that way. Creeping closer and closer, he reached out with his stick to prod her in the arm...

She looked over at the man next to her, then when he poked her she was totally caught by surprise. Her facial expression clearly told that she was confused, she swore she could also feel her face actually feeling that way. "Well, hello to you too, mister!" She said in a sarcastic voice. She sat up, with sand in hair, but she didn't care about that either. He seemed like a rather unusual person, but she had to admit, even though he seemed weird, he was pretty cute. She studied him for a moment, and then thought about what had just happened.

And suddenly, she started to laugh. She hadn't laughed in a long time. "What was that for?!" She looked at the stick that was in his hands, and took it from him and poked him in the chest gently. It seemed like everything else didn't matter as she was growing interested in him. He seemed different from the others.

OOC: Short....really short. Sorry.
Drew a blank right now...

Feet left the ground as Theron literally jumped back in surprise. He landed with a stagger, but didn't quite fall on his rump. When she sat up, his eyes were on the sand falling out of her hair instead of the hair itself, or even her face; but as he went to poke it with the stick, it was rudely taken away and Theron found himself on the other side of the poking end. However, his attention was never founded on the stick as her laughter chimed in his ears.

"What was that for?!"

He took a step back with his hands in the air defensively, but still relaxed. "I meant nothin' by it, miss. I would just feel 'shamed if I left such a lovely pass away on the beach with no one to save 'er life." The way he said 'save 'er' almost sounded like savour, and it wouldn't be too far from the truth if that's what he meant. He, then, turned away from her to face the sea with his arms spread, "To think you were the sole survivor in a fantastic ship wreck, only to be cast back ashore to find yer land legs all o'er again. The tragedy." He didn't know if his act was fooling anyone, so to add to it, he clasped his hands to his chest when he said, 'the tragedy.' Kneeling beside her, he murmured, "Or mayhaps you lack the human gene altogether; you rightly look the part of a mermaid cursed without 'er tail."

It was all he could do to keep a strait face through all of this. All in all, it was probably the best act he had made to woo a maiden into bed. If everything came to fruition, this was surely going to be a bragging point of his for months to come.

She let go of the stick that was in her hands and cocked her head to the side. He was odd and didn't speak like the other people she had met in Taras. She layed back down on her side, putting her elbow on the sand, then placed her chin on her hand for support. She stared at him as he spoke, her eyes never leaving him. The sky was dark now, and there was a cold breeze coming from the sea. The sea came lurking closer and closer to her, easing its way towards them both.

"Or mayhaps you lack the human gene altogether; you rightly look the part of a mermaid cursed without 'er tail."

She sighed and then turned to lay on her stomach, her finger going in a circular motion in the sand as she thought of what to say. A mermaid, was a beautiful creature in her opinion, which she was sure he was flirting with her. But if he was, it worked because she realized just that that she was blushing a bit. She blushed easily though. "Hmmm...." He didn't give her a reason to feel frightened of him, as nobody else has that she has ever met. So with that, she smiled softly. "Miyako. I'm Miyako." She said brightly. "And you are...?"

She then remembered the stories she read, and how some people could seem to be kind and trustworthy, but in the end they turned their backs on them. She was thinking of maybe not being so open with him anymore, but then she remembered something else. This was a story, this wasn't a fairytale, it was reality. Maybe all people were really kind beings, but then again, she had not met very many people. She sighed once again, trying to focus on his answer more. She would just have to find out what he was like, before making any judgements.

She's falling for it. She's actually falling for that schpeel. When the woman turned on her stomach, Theron caught her blush and his eyebrow scampered up his forehead. Way too easy..., Theron thought to himself. He eyed her carefully, figuring something had to be up, otherwise she'd be like all the other sober women out there and stalk off in a sullen state. He quickly cleared his face of thought and dawned a charming grin when she spoke next.

"And you are...?"

Completely sober. Both of us. Ugh... His fake charm melted away as quickly as it had been summoned up. If she was going to be this cheery and honest with a complete stranger... and sober at the same time... Theron could at least do the same. Despite the fact this was completely against his nature, or rather his drunken nature which is usually his normal nature, he sat down in the sand next to her and held out a welcoming hand. Well, she is a woman, he thought before saying, "Theron... I'm Theron."

He looked around them and noticing the darkening sky. The cold breeze was nice, very ncie in Theron's opinion, but when his eyes found their way back to Miyoko, he knew women tended to chill a lot sooner than himself. Unfortunately, he didn't have a jacket... or even a shirt. "It's getting dark... You should probably find somewhere safer to go before it gets dangerous." He cocked his head to the side only slightly to an unspoken question. He was going to ask if she had a place to stay, but then remembered he didn't have anywhere to invite her to for someone as seemingly respectable as she. This Miyoko really was on another level from the usual entertainment he found himself with.
