Samathan was relieved when he saw the Oasis, he had been travelling in this scorching desert for some time and the heat was beginning to get to him. He tramped onto the lush grasses and after he had finished describing the place in his journal, he went to the pool of water to fill up his canteen and drink. The cool, peacefulness of the Oasis was a pleasant change from the heat which he had previously been forced to endure.
