Title: A stroll

Xenith - November 11, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
Xenith walked down a cobble street, her staff aiding her in her walk. A soft wind blew from a recently passed rain storm. She could still smell the rain in the air mixed with the floral fragrance of her dark hair. Her cloak was still damp from her trip here from across the sea. She seemed to have attracted little attention on her wandering. Upon thinking of it there didnt seem to be alot of life around her. I thought I was to be delivered to a large city. Perhaps it is night. The traveling has messed with my iinner clock. Now ill have to find someone to ask the time. She didnt like conversing with people. Just the thought of it made her stomach turn, which also made her realize that she was hungry. Ill have to find someplace to stay if it is night anyway... might just as well get something to eat as well. She took a deep breath and continued down the road, not knowing where she was going.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 01:59 AM (GMT)
Dûrion was wandering the streets, just passing the time. He had already fed this night, and as such did not need another meal. But he enjoyed walking under the stars, and had ever since he had been a child. The night was his time. He knew that of all the Gods and Goddesses, the one of Darkness was always who he worshipped, since the Goddess of Night seemed to have disappeared.

Just then he noticed afigure walking towards him down the street. He wondered what someone was doing out so late, and so approached her, his footsteps falling silently on the cobblestones As he approached, he realized she was a half-elf. They always interested him, as he didn't understand what was attractive about many humans he met. " Good evening m'am. Out late tonight aren't you?"

Xenith - November 11, 2007 02:16 AM (GMT)
The light tap from her staff hitting the cobble stones, echoed off the surrounding buildings. She was getting tiered and was still quite lost. I should get a companion. That may make my life easier. Her thoughts had turned often to this since she had come here. Not knowing the area made her nervious. Her thoughts turned to memories of her being able to run through the forests uninhibited by not knowing where the next tree root was. She sighed heavily.
"Good evening m'am. Out late tonight aren't you?" The voice startled her greatly. Never had she not been able to hear someone approch her. I must be more tiered than i thought. It was the only explination that came to mind. cautiously she looked toward where the voice had come from, eyes cast down. "Im sorry sir. Am I on your property? I do not know what the time is so i do deeply appologise for any inconvieniece I may be causing you. I will remove myself from the area if that is the case." She spoke hastly, wanting to get it over with if she was to be an outcast in yet another place.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 02:25 AM (GMT)
He smiled as she replied, noticing her blindness from her question. "No m'am, you are not on my property, nor anyone else's property, unless streets are owned by people......doubtful. And why do you speak so hastily? If you wish assistance to find someplace, I would be more than happy to assist you."

( I am sorry it is so short, I couldn't think of much else)

Xenith - November 11, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)
"No m'am, you are not on my property, nor anyone else's property, unless streets are owned by people......doubtful. And why do you speak so hastily? If you wish assistance to find someplace, I would be more than happy to assist you."
She felt her face flush at her own stupidity, creeping down to her neck. She kept her eyes down cast hoping he wouldnt see her flush. Damn, he knows.
Im sorry sir but where im from everything belongs to someone.
Well that was stupid hes going to see right through that one. What was I thinking saying something like that? Obviously i wasnt thinking. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
But if you could perhaps tell me the correct time im sure i could find my way to an inn.
Yea and pigs will fly... ill probably sleep in the street like a regular old bum.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 03:02 AM (GMT)
He smiled. Most land belonged to people in the cities, but he had never heard of streets being owned. This female must be from a strange place indeed. "Well, I have yet to hear of streets being owned in this or any other town in Imythess. As for the time, I would say it is close to ten o'clock at night. And how, may I inquire, do you plan on finding an inn?" He was interested in this girl, she was attractive, but he did not want to impose upon her his desires, and he knew she would......disapprove of his curse.

Xenith - November 11, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
"Well, I have yet to hear of streets being owned in this or any other town in Imythess. As for the time, I would say it is close to ten o'clock at night. And how, may I inquire, do you plan on finding an inn?"
Again the flush crept to her face. She was making a fool of herself she knew. Sir, surly you can see that i am not from this place. i just arrived on a ship from across the sea. is it really ten? It is still early so i think i will walk for a while longer and then find myself an inn. As to how I shall find one, well im sure I will stumble on one. They are usually roudy with drunkards at night. It shouldnt be to hard to find for me. Tentativly she tried a shy smile hoping it looked confident and sure of herself.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 03:23 AM (GMT)
He smiled. She was quite a independent creature, but he did not want to let her get lost or harmed. He was feeling nice tonight, for once. He sometimes did, and he never knew why. "Well, a new person to our land, are you? Well, I welcome you, and I hope you well. But, I am afraid I cannot allow you to go on alone. Your......curse.......will keep you from finding one effecively, especially considering the closest is a couple miles behind you. Plus, many creatures lurk in the shadows, wanting to kill or steal. I will have to escort you to the inn, unless you have some godly powers at your disposal?"

Xenith - November 11, 2007 03:35 AM (GMT)
"Well, a new person to our land, are you? Well, I welcome you, and I hope you well. I thank you kindly sir.
Her violet eyes widened with surprise. She was usually much better at fooling people about he inability to see. How did he know. I thought i covered up so well. I dont know what you are talking about sir. Curse? Dumb, play dumb and maybe he'll think it was his mistake. Then she had a thought she couldnt help but to voice. Besides, how do I know sir, that you are not one of those creatures wishing to kill or steal from me? She hoped she wasnt on dangerous ground but she couldnt help it. Noone had been this nice to her. She was a half elf, an outcast. She wasnt used to the nicities.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 08:04 AM (GMT)
He smiled as she tried to cover up her blindness. But he was not to be fooled. "Your curse. We all have our own of course, but yours is interesting. To be unable to even see someone walking up to you on the street,or even know you are on a street, kindof gives it away. And as for wanting to kill you, I might have on another night tried to, but I am in a good mood tonight. For I am fed and awake. So, I promise you I shall not allow any harm to befall you, on my honor as a Moon Elf." He smiled slightly, figuring she would not be able to gather he was a vampire from the being fed part of that.

Xenith - November 11, 2007 12:20 PM (GMT)
"Your curse. We all have our own of course, but yours is interesting. To be unable to even see someone walking up to you on the street,or even know you are on a street, kindof gives it away. She looked down embarased. She hadnt fooled him at all. Perhaps people here are more observant. And as for wanting to kill you, I might have on another night tried to, but I am in a good mood tonight. For I am fed and awake. Fed? awake? What is he talking about? So, I promise you I shall not allow any harm to befall you, on my honor as a Moon Elf." At this her eyes blased. "Honor moonelf? Is that what you said. Well let me tell you then, elf, there is no honor in your action, only a fleeting pitty for the poor blind half elf. Do not stand there and mock me. I know only to well that the very sight of me makes you sick. Not good enough to be an elf because of human blood coursing through my viens. Not good enough to be human because of the predominance of elf in my apperance. An outcast no matter what race and apparently no matter where I am. So do not speak to me of curses. You have no curse, you are a moonelf." her words were hot with anger. Had she even once heard of a vampire she might have taken those words back, but she knew nothing of them. Tears streamed from her violet eyes making them more brilliant in the starlight.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 04:32 PM (GMT)
He laughed as she spoke of him having no curses, and of her being sick. "You must choose your words carefully, m'lady. For it is true I am a Moon Elf, but I do not find you sick. If you must have my opinion, I find you attractive, actually. For you see, I do have a curse, in my own way. So do not cry, please. I do not mean to offend, but trust me when I say that I do have a curse, but one that I have no desire to reveal to you, or anyone else if I could help it, but unfortunately my pattern of sleep and food give it away.....For you see, I am also a vampire."

Her head swam with the implications he was making. Her eyes were wide, disbelieving. The stars shined dramiticly off her violet eyes. What do you mean you find me attractive? How can a full blood find a half breed attrative? Vampire? What is that? Sir I must say you are the first to compleatly baffal me so. Please do explain to someone such as myself. She felt stupid not knowing what he was. Should I be scared of this vampire?

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
His eyes widened with shock. How could someone not know what a vampire was? He figured though he should tell her the truth, or else it would come back to haunt him later he was sure. "Blood has nothing to do with attractiveness, at least not to me anyways. You do, after all, look mostly like an elf anyways. And as for a vampire, I am surprised you do not know what that is. However, I suppose I should tell you the truth. Vampires are creatures of the night. They are trapped to it, for if they go out during the day, the sunlight on them will burn them until they find shelter quickly, or die. And as for our food, we feed off the blood of others. Some, like me, only feed off of corpses, but some kill for blood. It is all the same, blood is blood, but I do not like to waste life."

"Blood has nothing to do with attractiveness, at least not to me anyways. You do, after all, look mostly like an elf anyways. What he said was true, she did look mostly like an elf, but it never seemed to matter to them. She wasnt pure to them. It is all the same, blood is blood, but I do not like to waste life." Her eyes widened in shock. Do not show that you fear him. Dont be stupid. Breath. He said he had fed. You have nothing to fear. Do i? She didnt know what to think or to do for that matter. She took a deep, slightly shaky breath. Should I fear you? I know you say you feed off the dead but I can not help but to question. You have been nothing but kind to me so i appologise for my insecurities.

Angryh Hobo - November 11, 2007 06:31 PM (GMT)
He laughed yet again when she asked him if she should fear him. "Well, most people seem to fear vampires, or hate us. But I do not think you should have to fear me, for I have no intention to harm you in any form. However, if you wish, you may leave now and I will not bother you again. But I still think you will need help to an inn. And also, since you are blind, if I wanted to harm you, I could have easily have done so without ever saying a word to you, and you would have been dead."

A chill crept down her spine at the memory of not hearing him before he spoke to her. She knew then that he could kill her at any point he wanted to. But yet... This may seem a very bold move. It does even to me. But, may I? Tentitivly she reached out her hands, shaking slightly. It helps me mentaly see who i am talking to. If it is not ok do not feel obligated.

Angryh Hobo - November 12, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
He smiled when she reached out her hands. He understood what she meant of course. To see through touch was a skill only blind people seemed to have. "I do not mind at all." He then grabbed her outstretched hands and Put them to his face. He also decided to bare his teeth, so she could feel the fangs that were a natural part of vampirism. He just hoped she would not be to frightened, he had noticed her shaking.

Xenith - November 12, 2007 02:22 PM (GMT)
"I do not mind at all."She jumped slightly when he grabed her hands. She hadnt been exspecting it, she thought he would day no. His skin was warm to the touch. She moved her hands so only her fingertips were touching his face. Slowly she moved around his eyes. She could tell that he was an elf. His nose was delicalty pointed. When she got to his mouth she hesitated. He had pointed teeth. She stepped closer, trying to understand. Her eyebrows creased with curiosity and confusion. That was the only part of his face that was unelf like. She could feel his breath lightly against her face. She slowly droped her hands from his face. Is that the only thing affected by your curse? she said it quietly, not wanting to offend him.

Angryh Hobo - November 15, 2007 02:48 AM (GMT)
He was surprised by how gentle she was, and almost wished she would not move her hands away, but away she did move them eventually. He noticed her confusion over his teeth, and smiled even more. "Alas, no. Physically, maybe, but not in the entirety. These teeth are used for sucking the blood from our victims. Some of us can survive long periods of time without blood, but eventually we need it, or else we give in to our animal instincts. We become more powerful, but we lose and ability to blend into normal society we may have had before. And as I mentioned, we cannot be exposed to sunlight. And as for our teeth again, we normally feed from our victims neck, biting into the veins." He poked her neck with a finger as he said this, right on a vein he could see through her skin.

Xenith - November 16, 2007 08:37 PM (GMT)
She jumped as his finger touched her pulsing artery. She didnt mean to but it was an unexspected thing. When she jumped his nail caught on her pale skin, drawing a small amount of blood that stood out to her pale color. A small welt started to form where his nail had scratched skin. Her hand went up to her neck as a burning sensation set in. Gingerly she touched the scratch and felt the wet, viscus substance on her fingers. As she took her hand away from her neck she rubed her fingers together, it was still there. Blood...

Angryh Hobo - November 17, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
He drew back his hand when she jumped, and his nail caught on her skin, cutting it slightly. He could see blood on her pale skin, and almost bit her right there, but controlled himself. He laid his hand on the cut, and Healed it with the one spell he knew, then drew his hand back. " I apologize for harming you, I did not mean to startle you, I was merely trying to put across the information I was giving you." He wiped the remaining blood from her neck, and cleaned his hands using his cloak.

Samathan - November 21, 2007 06:50 AM (GMT)
Samathan stood watching the two, a woman and an elf. He wondered if they had noticed him yet, he decided to watch them a little more before introducing himself. He didn't want to interrupt them just yet in case anything important was going on, they would undoubtably notice him soon as he was in clear view. But until then he regarded them with curiousity, he had not met many elves before and this one was clearly a Moon Elf, he had read about them many times in books but he had never actually met a live one before. Deciding to break his silence he said but one word in greeting for the moment "Hello," there that would at least make them aware of his presence.

Xenith - December 1, 2007 03:30 PM (GMT)
She smiled. Its alright. I understand what you were trying to do. Dont worry, it is but a scratch and will heal. Besides its not like i have never had scratches before. Somewhere in the dark someone spoke. It was a loud hello as if the man had been there for a long time. She had jumped at the voice and yet still felt foolish for it. She didnt know what else to do. Hello. Please state your name and come closer so we may see you. I am new to the area and would like to judge for myself if you mean no harm. How was this man to know she couldnt see? He wouldnt so she didnt care and even if he did things would be fine. Of that she was sure. It was about the only thing she was sure of anymore.

Angryh Hobo - December 2, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
He looked over at the newcomer, wondering how long he had been there. But he was not very surprised, as they were standing in the middle of the street, after all. He looked back at her when she spoke, and smiled slightly, realizing she didn't know where he was. "Don't worry, you'll come to no harm I'm sure" he whispered to her. He then turned back to look at the stranger, wondering what he was doing out so late an hour.
