Title: Wander
Description: [Open!]
Zehavya - October 28, 2007 02:06 AM (GMT)
Zehavya's boots hit the ground, making barely any noise, except small thuds. Her great-sword hit lightly against her hip. She wrapped her dark cloak about her, shivering by the cold, brisk air that went around the ruins, the wind slipping through cracks, and small places. She wandered around the ruins, until dark had fallen, and she walked to the Cathedral. Slowly, she opened the door and walked into the gloomy place. The roof unsturdy, and many leaks were around, though, luckily, it was raining. It was quite dry, except for the wind.
She went to one of the pews, and put her foot on it, and pushed down, to see if it was sturdy, sadly, it wasn't, and her foot broke the rotten wood. Grimacing she walked to another pew, and did the same thing, but this one was the same. Sighing, she walked towards the end of the building, and to the alter, and stared at it for a long time.
She ran her hand along the edges of it. It felt smooth, until she got a small cut from a jagged spot. Snarling, she turned around. Slowly, she lost her patients. Though, not really knowing why. She sat on a step that led to the alter, and tapped her fingers on her knee. Since it was getting dark out, she thought she should make a makeshift camp, but then, she thought she should stay up, and see if there was something to kill, its been at least a week since she last had a battle.
Zehavya stood, and wandered around the building, at the edges, pass broken windows, and crumbling walls, to the main doors again. She stopped in front of them, before turning away, and walking once more, towards the alter, wondering if anything would interest her in these, so-called haunted ruins.
Shadeen - October 28, 2007 04:15 AM (GMT)
Shadeen walked through the broken old cathedral, boots silent in the dreary atmosphere. She had wandered in from the outside cold a few moments earlier and was now peering into every crack and crevice that she could fit her head into. She had run her finger along the walls as she walked, leaving a clear line of where her finger had swept up the dust and grit of years. Once she noticed this she quickly wiped off her finger on her dress and continued her aimless meandering of the place.
She had brought her Katana with her for the trip but had left it under one of the pews when she first entered. It was cold, and she wrapped her arms about herself in an attempt to keep warm, wishing she had brought a cloak or more clothing. She despised the cold, yet the allure of a haunted ... anything was enough to make her pick herself up from the cushion in front of the fireplace. When she heard the smashing of wood she immediately thought that she should hurry back to retrieve her weapon before someone accomplished that task for her.
Lazily she drifted back towards where she had first left her Katana. She spread her arms wide and balanced on anything that she could on the way to the main entrance of the building. She hadn’t realized how far she’d wandered until she was heading back. Upon entering the room she discovered another drifting about the alter at the forefront of the room. While wondering if it would be better to reveal herself or merely watch her legs made the choice for her and she stumbled into the room. She recovered awkwardly and smiled at the newcomer, before dropping to her knees are retrieving the Katana.
“I thought you were a ghost at first,” She said, smiling and running her hand through her hair, tangling it in the process. She hoped that the stranger was more friend than foe and that she hadn’t made the wrong choice in approaching her. “I’ve heard so many stories of adventure I wanted to have one of my own,” Her smile turned a little lopsided and she laughed lightly, despite her surroundings.
Zehavya - October 28, 2007 05:10 PM (GMT)
The Aasimar turned quickly, hearing someone walk. She hoped it would be a demon, or some other creature from the abyss, but sadly, it was a mere human. Zehavya frowned slightly, then gave a small smile. She supposed talking to someone would be nice for a change. Its been forever it seemed since she had last spoken to something she didn't try to kill.
“I thought you were a ghost at first,”
"I was almost wishing you were a ghost..." She mumbled, saying it to herself, because she did wish it was one. She would have liked to try to kill a ghost, even though, it would have been impossible, no one killed a ghost, unless you had a special weapon to do so. She walked slowly towards the stranger, her long braid of fiery red hair hitting against her ankles as she walked.
“I’ve heard so many stories of adventure I wanted to have one of my own,”
"Hm. Yes, stories always seem to encourage others to go off searching for one. I never had to listen to stories to go on an adventure." The Demon-Hunter said. And what she said was basically true, the only thing that got Zehayva on her own adventure, was living among tieflings until she hated them enough to go on a quest to terminate all of them, and it was her adventure.
"I am Zehavya, a Demon-Hunter." She said, bowing ever so slightly. Her hand rested on the hilt of her great sword. The shorter strands of red hair that fell from the braid, fell over her face, until she moved the hair behind her ear. She stood straight and tall, her purple eyes wandering over the human girl. Zehavya saw no threat from the girl, thinking that she will be fine to talk with.
Shadeen - October 28, 2007 06:18 PM (GMT)
“Oh I’m Shadeen... a... well nothing really.” She bowed back clumsily. When she straightened she fumbled with the hem of her dress and smiled a little awkwardly. She was a bit intimated by the fact an actually demon hunter stood in front of her. Imythess was proving to be a place where one could meet many different people indeed.
“Well... seeing as how you’ve been on a lot of adventures, and probably slain some demons,” She added the last part a bit quietly. “Do you want to maybe... come exploring with me?” She smiled again, only she felt she held it too long and she became indecisive about whether she should be smiling at all. Her face became a mess of a smile to a frown in rapid movement. Eventually she gave up wondering and let the smile win.
“I’ve never really done anything like this before so perhaps you could help me out if we do run into anything.... spooky,” She said, cocking her head to one side and studied the woman in front of her. She found Zehavya to be a rather interesting woman, and one she wasn’t quite sure she’d get along with right away, but there was no harm in trying.
“I’ve never really been here before so if you know more than I do feel free to lead on!” She twirled her Katana, only managing to cut her arm a bit. “Oops. I’m still getting used to this thing,” She said, “I can use it I swear! Just not for... finesse.” She said, hoping she didn’t seem like a bother.
Zehavya - October 29, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
“Oh I’m Shadeen... a... well nothing really.”
Zehavya smiled slightly, sort of a amused smile, then a friendly one. "Nice to meet you then, Shadeen." She said, in a also friendly tone. The hunter was sort of surprised at herself for not being as odd as she noramlly was, most of the time, Zehavya would always be somewhat crazy, but now, she seemed fine to her odd problems. She rested her hand on her great-sword again.
“Well... seeing as how you’ve been on a lot of adventures, and probably slain some demons, do you want to maybe... come exploring with me?”
"Oh, yes, I have plenty of adventures, though, my true quest is just begening. And I suppose, I could accompany you. Since, I have nothing else to do, unless a demon pops up out of nowhere." She said, laughing slightly, and then, a odd glint came across her eyes, but was gone in a instant. The idea of a demon coming suited her just fine.
“I’ve never really done anything like this before so perhaps you could help me out if we do run into anything.... spooky,”
She smiled. "That sounds fine to me. I always cherish moments dealing with... creatures of hell." She said, her smile turned into a smirk. Then shook her head, when she asked if the hunter knew more of the place. "Sadly, I don't, never had time to explore the place or not really anywhere near, last time I was here, I had to fight a vampire and an undead, with help of a half-dragon." She said, sighing. She had not won that battle then, both the creatures survived. She watched as the girl cut herself with her own weapon. "You should be a bit more careful with that, I hear those a terribly sharp weapons, if taken care of properly." She said, glancing about, not really knowing where they should start exploring at.
Samathan - November 21, 2007 06:34 AM (GMT)
Samathan saw two women among the ruins of the old cathedral, he smiled and decided that it was about time he introduced himself to them. So he put a warm, friendly look on his face and stepped forward to greet them "Hello my name is Samathan, who might you two be?" he asked in a friendly, conversational tone of the two women. He smiled softly and awaited their answer, as he waited he looked about the ruins of the Cathedal. It really was quite an interesting place, he knew not what had destroyed this Cathedral but it still interested him nonetheless. The building was clear very old, ancient even. He smiled at Shadeen and noticed how attractive she was, he found himself giving her a flirtatous smile. He blushed wondering if she had noticed it.
Shadeen - November 24, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
((Yikes! Sorry that took so long. First kittens then Midterms. Sorry its a little on the short side))
"That sounds fine to me. I always cherish moments dealing with... creatures of hell."
“That makes on of us” She smiled. She had made herself kind of nervous about exploring but it wasn’t enough to bother her into backing out of an adventure of her very own. “If you don’t know the place then we’ll just have to play by ear I guess,” She moved into the center of the room and, placing one hand over her brown eyes and one point out straight in front of her, she began to spin. At about the 10th spin she stopped herself, almost falling in the process, and held out her hand to a doorway in the front left of the room.
“How about we start there,” She smiled at Zehavya. The doorway seemed old and rotten, well what was left of the door was. Cobwebs hung in the doorway, even the spiders had abandoned this place. Before she could start off to the doorway a man spoke up.
"Hello my name is Samathan, who might you two be?"
"Oh umm...I'm Shadeen. Nice to meet you." She did a small bow and came up beaming.
Zehavya - November 24, 2007 05:49 PM (GMT)
“If you don’t know the place then we’ll just have to play by ear I guess,”
"I suppose so..." She mumbled, then grinned wide once Shadeen started to spin in circles. An odd way to pick a place to look, but Zehavya guessed it worked as good as any other way. When she stopped and pointed at the doorway. Zehavya stared at the door, then smiled.
“How about we start there,”
"Sounds good. looks like no other explorers have been through that doorway in a while." She said, and strode over there in her long strides. She was over there very quickly, but then suddenly stopped hearing a noise, and her great sword was out in a flash of steel. She stared menacingly at the man who said his name was Samathan, but then her muscles slowly relaxed, though, she stayed in a fighting stance a while longer, before standing up, and sheathing her great sword.
She glared at the warrior who stood there, right away, she didn't trust, or like him.
"Hello. I'm Zehavya." She said, though, didn't bow or anything, except standing tall, and glaring at Samathan. It was her old judgmental self that made her not even like him, maybe it was just his appearance, or maybe it was the way he smiled at Shadeen, Zehavya didn't know, she just knew she didn't like him.
Samathan - November 25, 2007 08:37 AM (GMT)
Samathan smiled as Shadeen introduced herself, smiled and bowed. He smiled warmly at her and taking her hand placed a soft kiss on it "The pleasure is all mine," he said and realising he was still holding her hand he blushed and let it go. Samathan knew the other, Zehavya didn't like him, it was clear in his posture as she stood upright and glared at him. He turned his gaze back to Shadeen "What is a pretty girl like you doing out here?" he asked with a smile and looked at her.
Shadeen - November 26, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
She had never been treated like royalty. Or this is what supposed happened to royalty, a bow and kiss on the hand. It made her blush until she caught Zehavya staring at the newcomer. She wondered what she didn’t like about him. She decided to ask her...later...maybe when she was happy.
"What is a pretty girl like you doing out here?"
“Oh well I was umm...” She pointed at the dusted old door. “Just about to go through that unwelcoming door actually. With Zehavya.” She smiled at Zehavya. Then looked back at Samathan, trying desperately to see what Zehavya did.
“Umm shall we continue?” She asked Zehavya, smiling at the woman before she walked over to the doorway. She ran a hand over the wooden frame work before dusting away some of the cobweds caught in the corners.
Her jade eyes staring into the darkness beyond the doorway. A shudder ran through her body and she found it hard to decipher whether it was fear or excitement. Both, she decided. She turned around to the other two. “I don’t suppose anyone has a light?” She smiled.
Zehavya - November 26, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Zehavya continued to glare at the warrior, her hand slithering across the hilt of her great sword, be then she dropped her hand, placing it on her hip. She watched him talk to Shadeen, and glanced at her. Why was she still here? She should leave, find some demons to kill, not go about exploring a haunted cathedral, when she had no weapons to kill them with. She stood there, now impatient, thinking of all the demons she had to yet kill, and especially, Fehade. Her purple eyes flashed dangerously, before turning impatience.
“Umm shall we continue?”
"Finally." The demon-hunter mumbled to herself. She turned on her heel, and strode to the door, and peeking through it. When the girl asked for a light, Zehavya frowned, then reached in her backpack, and pulled out a lantern that had a swirly substance in it.
Saying a odd word in magic, the substance inside it, came out from the lantern, and turned into the form of a man. It was a smoky white. It was a ghost, its only purpose to carry the lantern. The lantern lit itself also.
Zehavya motioned for the ghost to go into the room, and the hunter followed it. She turned to look behind her, to Shadeen, and then to Samathan, then, ahead of her. Now, from the light of the lantern, she could she where she was. She stood in a wide hallway that was short, and ended into a largish room, with some old broken desks, and a few chairs.
"If I'm lucky, there'll be demon waiting for me to kill." She talked to herself mainly, headed that way, listening for any sound possible, that may give away to a unknown thing around here, though, so far, she heard nothing.
Samathan - November 26, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
Samathan stood at Shadeen's side and drew his sword lest anything be waiting for them in the depths of the room. He smiled at Shadeen and his voice was warm as he spoke to her "Shall I go first?" he asked, being the man he wanted to go first to make sure that the way ahead was safe, not because he thought they weren't strong enough. He smiled at Shadeen and blushed softly which she would undoubtably notice, he held his sword at the ready in case anything lept out at them from the shadows. He would protect these two women, especially Shadeen with his life if necessary.
Shadeen - November 26, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
She wasn’t sure she liked the closeness of the newcomer, but then again she wasn’t used to anyone ever being so close to her. Her thoughts were on other things, more important in her mind. The ghost man that carried the lantern was something very new to her.
“Who is he?” She asked. Curious if he was actually real or just a conjure. Either was it was rather interesting. Perhaps someday she would be able to call the dead, if he really was dead.
“So umm... What kind of demons do you think will be in here?” Her voice wavered just a tad, not enough to notice but just the start of the anxiety that she might actually run into a demon. “Won’t it just be ghosts and things...a little less...powerful?” She wasn’t scared of ghosts or the idea of them. The thing that frightened her about demons was merely the awesome power they possessed. Of course she was just going on what she had read about in fairy tales and fantasy stories. They could have just blown the whole ‘demon’ thing out of proportion. “Are they just like you read about?”
She thought she noticed Samathan blush, but the darkness played tricks and she wasn’t sure of what she had seen. Perhaps nothing. She didn’t actually answer his question because she was the amateur here, Zehavya was the one with all the experience and she felt it was best to let her answer. She seemed the strong, independent sort who would want to be at the forefront of any battle.
Zehavya - November 26, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
“Who is he?”
Zehavya shrugged. "I don't know really, all I know, is he's a ghost, trapped inside the lantern, and his only purpose is to carry a lantern. I found it near Balefire." She added, though, no real reason. She knew, there were more lanterns out there, and she always wondered who would make a ghost, a once human being, live such a fate. She stared after the ghost lantern a moment, wondering who he once was, but he never talked, he couldn't.
She glanced at Shadeen when she asked what type of demon the hunter expected to be in there. She wondered a moment, then shook her head. "I am not sure if a demon will be in there or not, only if I'm lucky, and if there is one in there, I have no idea what type it will be, there are many kinds of demons. And yes, there will most likely be ghosts in there, other then demons, but some may like haunted cathedrals. Demons are quite powerful, and are usually worse then what you read about them, but it matters." Zehavya said, almost in a tone as if it was obvious. Her fingers played along the hilt of her great sword, then a wide, cruelish smile played across her face, when Samathan asked if he should go first. She was starting to find this boy amusing.
She turned to look at the boy, who was much younger then the demon-hunter. "You want to go first? Be my guest then, boy. Just don't come whining to me if a demon pops out in front of you." She said, and you could easily tell of the amusement in her tone. Her eyes seemed to gleam brighter. The Aasimar stepped to the side, to let the boy go first, if he wanted. If he did go first, Zehavya wouldn't care, she already disliked him, and didn't trust him, if she did trust him, she would go first herself, but she would find it joyful if a ghost or something grabbed him, it would be fun, she would think. And that, was her crazy self speaking.
Samathan - November 26, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
As Zehayva mentioned him coming running back him afraid if a demon popped out infront of him he laughed and looked at her "I am not a child. Do not worry I have faced dark creatures before, I shall not come running back to you." He gripped his sword and followed the ghost-man into the dark entrance, he looked around the room and then motioned for them to come in "It's safe, this part at least," he said with a shy grin to Shadeen. He looked at her softly and smiled, there was something about Shadeen that made him like her and he looked to her as he spoke to Zehavya "So exactly what type of demons are we hunting in here?"
Shadeen - November 26, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
An eternally lost soul. Tragic really. Shadeen had to feel something for the poor forgotten man who had no name or background, couldn’t even speak. She was also extremely glad that there were no demons lurking about the dusty old place. It made her feel more relaxed and giddy again. Although she was never worried for too long, her happiness haunted her like the plague...only she enjoyed it. A smile plastered on her face when she heard the good demon news and flashed it at Zehavya.
“Thank the gods,” She said, falling into step behind Samathan and then Zehavya. She tried to give the woman some space in the hallway but it proved to be rather cramped and she tagged closely behind her. Sometimes bumping into her. “Sorry,” She would say blushing at being rather blind. She hoped Zehavya didn’t mind too much, or if she did hopefully she would say something to her.
“Do you know him?” She whispered in the dark to Zehavya, referring to Samathan. “Not to like assuming anything or...anything. I’m just wondering,” She bumbled, trying to keep her voice down. “I’m relatively new so I don’t know many people yet.” She kept one hand brushing against her katana as she moved down the corridor, relaxed that it was close at hand and that two fighters were with her now.
Zehavya - November 27, 2007 02:15 AM (GMT)
"I am not a child. Do not worry I have faced dark creatures before, I shall not come running back to you."
She grinned just a little, then it left her face completely. She walked behind Samathan, and she was very casual about it, as if she was not afraid of anything that may happen. Yeah, and I lived among them, Zehavya thought to herself, and a small smile played across her face. She hated demons, more then anything. They wanted to kill her, in a slow painful way. She despised her demonic family. She thought back now, to when her father was human, she was very young then, but it was better, until her father married Jezerial, and then he got a demonic infused. Suddenly, a dark look passed over the hunters face as she remembered that time.
She shook her head, snapping out of that time, and she looked ahead when they reached the end of the hall, and into the wide room. Sadly, there were no demons here. And she didn't even notice Shadeen when she accidently bumped into her.
“Do you know him?”
Zehavya glanced back, then shook her head. "No. I do not. I just don't trust him..." She answered quietly so the other wouldn't hear her.
She looked up when Samathan spoke, and she laughed.
"Does it even matter what type of demon it is? If its demon related, kill it." She said, and grinned. She started to walk around the room they had entered, the one with broken desks and chairs. She wandered around it, while motioning for the ghost to stand in the middle of the smallish room.
She looked a little sadly at them room, since there were no demons about, but why would there? The doorway had been covered in cobwebs, if a demon had been here, it must have had to go through it, unless it was a demon who was trapped her, but she doubted that would happen.
Shadeen - November 27, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
Shadeen brushed the dust of the wooden surfaces of the tables and chairs, wandering around the outside of the room. A fireplace was charred in the far end of the room and she reached in a hand, the chill of it made her withdraw it almost immediately. She wrapped her arms about her body and shuttered moving on. The walls were dusted and dirty.
“Hey,” She was looking at something that seemed a little off to her. But then again the flicking of the lantern in the center of the room could easily play tricks on her eyes. “Umm... I read somewhere that Cathedrals are often rigged with secret passage ways and ...” She trailed off feeling rather silly.
She moved away from the wall but her eyes kept being drawn back to it. “Are there anything less than demons do you think? Like...Giant slugs or something?” She twirled her hair around her finger and decided to broach the subject anyway. “Do you think that a giant slug could be hiding in a secret passageway?” Oooh....That sounded stupid she told herself and laughed a little.
“What I mean is. Doesn’t that place in the wall seem odd to you?” She said to Zehavya, feeling that she had been on more explorations than she ever would be. “Maybe..?”
Samathan - November 27, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)
Samathan's sharp ears picked up Zehavya's words "So you do not trust me, I thought thats what it was. But I have given you no reason not to trust me," he went to Shadeen's side and brushed her hand softly, pretending he had done it by accident. He listened intently to all she had to say and nodded in agreement "You are right Shadeen, ancient Cathedrals like this one often do have all sorts of secret passageways and what not." In the gloom of where they stood he took her hand in his and squeezed it gently "You are very intelligent Shadeen, I admire that about you," he said with a warm smile to her. He laughed at Zehavya's comment "A wise choice, you speak like a warrior. Very well anything down here that is remotely demonic we shall kill," he then turned his attentions back to Shadeen and in the light of the lamp-ghost she would see his soft blush as he continued to hold her hand softly "No Shadeen, that was not stupid thing that you said. Any number of creatures could be hiding in these passageways," he said and squeezed her hand gently. He suddenly had the urge to kiss her then and there but he restrained himself, he did not want to upset her. But would she notice that he had wanted to kiss her? "Shadeen, you show great insight. I would be honoured if you would like to journey with me sometime."
Zehavya - November 27, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
Zehavya nodded to what Shadeen had said. "Cathedrals are supposed to, well, most anyway." She said, and walked to the wall that did seem different, and pressed her hand against it, then finding nothing in that, she pulled out her great-sword, and tapped the wall with the blade. And then, she heard it, it was a different sound. No walls made the type of sound she heard, it seemed hollow on the other side. Smiling, Zehavya started glancing up and down the wall, looking for a way to open the secret hidden doorway.
"No, Samathan, I do not trust, and I believe I never will. Especially with the way you act around a young girl when you just meet her." The Aasimar said, not even looking at the boy, she just continued to stare at the wall for a long moment, then laughter escaped her again. "Speak like a warrior? What are you? A fool? I'm a Demon-hunter boy, its the way I'm supposed to speak." She said, laughing.
"A giant slug would be very interesting to see." Said a slithery voice. It was cold, and cool.
Suddenly, Zehavya twirled around, sword up high, and she stood in a fighting stance. She stared at the hallway which they had just came, and her eyes gleamed with more hatred then anyone has ever seen.
The person who stood there, was tall, and dark. He had gleaming red eyes, and black hair that was spiked up, hiding the small horns on his head. A wide smile on his face. Teeth showed, and they seemed fang-like. Fehade bursted out laughing, then matched Zehavya's hating glare.
"Come now, sister, is that the way to treat your dear little brother?" The Tiefling asked Zehavya, grinning wildly.
Zehayva took a step towards Fehade. How she wanted to kill him, but then, she never could, as he could never kill her, there was something that always stopped them.
Shadeen - November 27, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
She watched as Zehavya pushed on the wooden panel and heard the echo-y thud that told them that the wall behind gave way to open space. She smiled as Zehvya held her sword up.
Shadeen was about to say something when the slithery voice seemed to creep up her spine. It was clearly male and the urge to spin around didn’t come to her. Instead she had to move slowly, the figure moving into her view instead of taking it up all at once.
A slug would be interesting. She retorted in her mind...but then she saw the man and a gasp escaped her lips. The red eyes gleamed in the darkness and spiked black hair had horns protruding from it. She wasn’t sure what to think of this new comer but he didn’t seem all that welcoming.
"Come now, sister, is that the way to treat your dear little brother?" The Tiefling asked Zehavya, grinning wildly.
Sister? Shadeen looked over at Zehavya unsure even what to think of the encounter now. She moved her hand to her side and gribbed the hilt of her katana...
Shadeen watched Zehvya take a step forward unsure of how to proceed except to watch for the moment and see what happened in their encounter.
Zehavya - November 27, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
Fehade still grinned, walking in long strides towards his sister, and stood and few feet away from her, and leaned back against a desk. He stared at the sword that wavered in Zehavya's hand.
"Fehade. Go." She hissed in a deadly tone, it had quivered slightly with hatred. She pointed the sword at Fehade, who merely watched her with a cool, calm look.
"Go on, Zehavya, kill me, I dare you to." He said, and broke into laughter. "Oh, thats right, you can't. You can never kill me. I wonder why?" He said to her, before he turned his gaze to Shadeen, and cocked his head at her, a little curious a moment, then after looking her up and down, he didn't find her interesting, though, he looked at her katana a moment, and grimaced, before he turned his head slightly to look at Samathan, but also found nothing interesting in him either, therefore, he turned his gaze back to his sister.
"Odd choice for a group, sister, thought you could do better then to get weaklings." He said, and a evil smile played at his face. He stood from the desk, and wandered over to the two others, walking around them, then to his half-sister.
"What do you want?" Snapped the Demon-Hunter.
"Oh, what do I want?" He said, and looked at his fingernails, that seemed sharper then normal. "I truly don't know, maybe I just like taunting you." He said, looking up at her, his eyes suddenly glowed brighter with malice.
"I'll kill you one day, Fehade." Zehavya said, her voice full of anger. She hated him, he always taunted her, and slip through her grasp, just because of not being able to kill him. She looked over at Shadeen, and Samathan, and realized, they could kill her brother, but then, he was strong in dark magics, and fighting skills, he was not one to mess with, and sides, long ago, Zehavya had vowed to kill him herself, even though she couldn't.
"Oh really? That'll be the day." He laughed cruelly.
Samathan - November 27, 2007 05:13 AM (GMT)
Samathan's brows furrowed at Zehavya's words "I would appreciate it if you would stop calling me boy, I am not a boy. And in response to the way I treat Shadeen I was raised to believe that is how one should always greet a woman and besides I like Shadeen, is that so wrong?" he said and looked to her. He was startled by the sudden apperance of the Tiefling and moved instinctively to Shadeen's side. He knew not whether this Tiefling was an enemy or a friend but he would be cautious either way.
Shadeen - November 27, 2007 05:15 AM (GMT)
Weaklings!? She was not! She took a brave step towards the newcomer, but it was all she could manage once she thought of his red eyes. They seemed almost soulless to her, but she hadn’t truly gazed into them yet, and hopefully she never would. Everything about him just seemed to turn her off and yet it made her wonder about the two of them and what was going on between them.
When their exchange was over Shadeen had the strongest urge to speak up to ask what was going on anyway. Zehavya caught her eye and she locked gazes with her for a moment wondering what she was possibly thinking. Shadeen’s grip clenched and unclenched on the leather hilt. She wasn’t entirely sure of what she would be able to do but anything to help.
Suddenly the urge was too much for her to resist. Shut up Shadeen, shut up Shadeen! She couldn’t seem to control it though and it just blurted out. “Who are you?” She clapped her hands over her mouth wishing it wasn’t too late to snatch back the words.
Zehavya - November 27, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
Fehade stared at Samathan for a long moment, with a dull face, then, he smiled once again. "My, my, Zehavya, look at that little boy, saying he isn't one. Well, he sure looks young to me, even if I ain't as old as you, sis." He said, his gaze never wavering from Samathan. He glanced at Zehavya, smiling, in a deadly way. If he could, she would be dead, but, like usual, there was something to stop him.
“Who are you?”
"Ah, who am I? Why, I'm Fehade Golden. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, my lady." He said, his voice a slithery again, and he did a mock bow to her. When he stood straight again, he smiled maliciously at her, then he gaze wandered back to Samathan a moment, though it seemed to return to the girl. After a moment, he turned to look at Zehavya.
"Fehade, you have no reason to be here. You know we can't kill each other, no matter how much we want to, so why don't you go back to the demonic family where you came from." She hissed, raising her sword, ready to attack, even though it would do no good, then, she swung the blade, towards his neck.
The tiefling dodged easily, merely by ducking, then he sprinted to the other side of the room, smiling a evil, but playful smile.
"Even you know I can't go back, unless I seek death." He said, now leaning on the wall, as if the hunter had never even attacked him.
Zehavya made a growl like noise in her throat, and her eyes became bright, a crazy glint flashing through them.
Samathan - November 27, 2007 05:37 AM (GMT)
Samathan placed a comforting hand on Shadeen's shoulder "It's okay," he said softly for her to hear "that is a very good question." He still held his sword as he studied the Tiefling curiously, "who exactly are you?" he said, he wanted to know as much as Shadeen did who this stranger was. He smiled at Shadeen and spoke to her quietly "do not apologise for your inquisitiveness, it is another thing about you that I like." He smiled and looked to the Tiefling and awaited an answer, his natural curiousity was getting the better of him now.
Shadeen - November 27, 2007 05:41 AM (GMT)
When his gaze landed on her she felt a shock go through her body and she shivered involuntarily. She wrapped her arms around herself and glared at him when he bowed to her, but fear crept into her eyes when he smiled at her. She had concluded that they couldn’t kill each other but he could easily kill Samathan...or herself. Sizing up her chances Shadeen moved closer to Zehavya. It also gave her a chance to study Fehade some more...from safety.
Banished? Shunned? Committed some untold evil? She couldn’t possibly think why he wouldn’t be allowed back into his family but she noticed that Zehavya had drawn her blade. She slowly drew her own out, holding it carefully at her side. She could feel her body go rigid and the sweat on her brow. It seemed unreal.
Shadeen spoke before Zehavya could pounce. “Wait....Why can’t you kill him,” Her growl scared Shadeen a bit and she wanted to buy just a little more time to prepare herself for...well for whatever was about to happen.
Samathan - November 27, 2007 05:52 AM (GMT)
Samathan stepped to stand next to Zehavya's side and pointed his blade at Fehade, he would do all he could to protect Shadeen and Zehavya. When he had become a warrior he had sworn he would do all he could to protect others. He held his sword in the ready postion as he waited to see if their enemy would attack "Fehade, that name is familiar to me. I do believe that I have heard of you before somewhere."
Zehavya - November 27, 2007 05:32 PM (GMT)
Zehavya was breathing hard, though, not in being tired, but in anger. She took a few steps towards her brother, her grip on her sword tightening, then loosening. Then, she started to twirl the weapon in her hand, in a very expertly fashion. She stared at Fehade, still glaring at him.
Fehade smiled, watching Zehavya advance towards him, then, he held up his left hand, and it was suddenly covered in a black mist, and there was a crackling like noise in it. He started to mumble strange spidery words of magic. The demon-hunter stopped in her tracks, standing very still.
"Thats a good girl, at least your smart enough to not come near. My dark magic won't kill you, but it would hurt... badly." He hissed, smiling cruelly.
“Wait....Why can’t you kill him,”"I can't kill him, and he can't kill me. We don't know why." Zehavya said, and glanced over at the two, before returning it to Fehade, who continued to smile, but it turned to a grimace soon, and his eyes darkened.
"A pity, it is." He said, mock sadness in his voice. He looked over at Samathan, when he said that Fehade's name was familiar to him. The tiefling laughed.
"Well, it should, warrior. You've probably seen it the wanted papers all over Taras and Cascadia, and all those other pathetic places." He laughed.
Suddenly, Zehavya charged at him. Fehade was taken by surprise, and barely had enough time to dodge her blow, which aimed to stab him in the heart. But, he was always given luck to dodge her blows. Snarling, she slashed at him a again, and he stumbled back, and fell to the ground, but right then, he lashed up with a kick at her gut, making her gasp for breath for a moment, but it was enough for Fehade to stand.
((OOC:
This a description of Fehade, if you want to see it. He is an account I made... thought I should just put that there.))
Shadeen - November 27, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
Zehavya lunged towards Fehade and Shadeen felt as surprised as Fahade looked. He dodged her blow. She snarled and Shadeen was taken aback by the viciousness of it. Unsure of what exactly she should be doing she backed up against the wall and crept around the room trying to position herself behind the brother and sister pair.
The two grappled while Shadeen slid her form along the wall. Finally she was staring at Fehade’s back as he kicked Zehavya and picked himself off the ground. Her fingers wrapped around the hilt of her sword, unsure if she should jump into the middle or not. Zehavya said she couldn’t kill him so that meant that the battle would last awhile without ending.
1...2..3...go! ...1..2...3...go! It took her a few times before she grabbed the katana and moved forward. Slowly at first hoping that he wouldn’t notice her, but as she got close she moved faster. She closed her eyes a swung in a huge arc around her body, unsure if she was even close enough to hit him. She tried anyway.
Samathan - November 27, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
As Shadeen struck out Samathan copied her coming from the other direction, the Tiefling could not possibly block them both coming fast from two different sides. Samathan twirled his sword as he came in a fashion that would cause any magic flung at him to bounce of the blade, as he drew nearer however he held the blade straight out aiming for a if not killing then wounding blow. He kept time exactly with Shadeen so as to syncrhonise their attacks and make it harder for the Fehade to parry them.
Zehavya - November 27, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
Fehade had barely any time to react, before both Shadeen and Samathan attacked him, but that didn't bother him, he was very good at reacting very quickly, and so he did. He dodged both their attacks, by dropping to the ground again, and rolling out of the way, completely missing the attacks. When he was on the other side of them, he jumped to his feet, and suddenly his own katana was out in his hand. A wide grin creases his pale face, and his red eyes glowed with pleasure.
Zehayva, angered now by him missing the attacks, charged at him again, swinging her great sword in a overhand hand cut, then bringing it down at his shoulder. Fehade jumped back, and brought his sword up, and blocked both attacks, each time their swords connected, there was a loud Clang!.
Suddenly, he brought his hand up, that was swirling with black mist again, and the crackling noise grew louder. He spoke an incantation, and he pointed his finger at Zehavya, and right then, a small bolt of negative energy came from his hand, and hitting the hunter in the shoulder. She was thrown back, and hit the wall with a thud. The tiefling grinned. Enervation was a killing spell, but he knew it won't kill her, he didn't use all his power into it, only a little, enough to hurt her. He would have used a lot of energy into it, but something also had stopped him from doing that.
Since he had used that spell, his attention had wavered from the two others, he even forgot they were about then, but he soon remembered, and turned to face them.
Zehavya moaned, and tried to get up, but the negative energy that hit her, seemed to sap all the energy she had in her. Her entire body ached, all she could do, was watch what was about to happen. She cursed silently, as she watched Fehade, and once again, tried to get up, but just couldn't.
Shadeen - November 27, 2007 09:33 PM (GMT)
When he turned and focuses his attention onto Zehavya Shadeen watched in horror as a dark mist gathered around his hand and shot out towards her. She searched the ground around her and found a decent sized rock. Bending down on her knees she picked it up and tossed it in her hands to test the weight. She stood up with the rock in hand and stretched her arm back about to throw it.
She blood ran cold when Fehade turned to face her, arm still drawn back about to throw the stone. She was frozen, unable to bring herself to move. Too scared she imagined him taking a step towards her and she hurled the stone through the air before bolting across the room towards Zehavya. Maybe she could help, or be told what to do. Anything! She knew that Zehavya wasn’t dead but from the conversation between the brother and sister pair Zehavya could still be injured.
Shadeen kept an eye on Fehade, trying to catch if he built up that black magic again so that she could at least try to stay alive.
Samathan - November 28, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
Samathan cursed in the elven tongue and for the first time Zehavya would see his pointed ears and hear the elven accent in his voice. To humans he looked to be nineteen years old, he began to speak in the elven tongue regardless of the other two "Stay still you wretched Tiefling," he said and slashed at him with his sword again, trying to catch his enemy off guard. He could not hide it any longer, he was a High Elf and it was not right to keep that part of him hidden.
Zehavya - November 28, 2007 02:52 AM (GMT)
The large stone was hurled at him, and he barely was able to dodge it, but he managed so, by jumping out of the way, but he tripped slightly, and didn't see the blade of the who once like a human, who now appeared to be a elf. The sword grazed his shoulder, and a sharp pain filled his arm, and he cursed in a strange tongue. He turned towards Samathan, and slashed at him with his katana.
He heard the elven tongue, and he smiled slightly. Fehade had learned that when he was still with his family, therefore, he knew what the elf and just smiled widely.
"Look, Zehavya, the group your with is a little feisty, its a little irritating." He hissed, his eyes flashed brightly. "I wonder, would you blame yourself when they die?" He asked coldly.
Zehavya lay still, and closed her eyes tightly. The way he spoke, reminded her of Hakri. After a moment, she looked up at Shadeen, and shook her head, telling the girl basically she didn't need the help. "Go help Samathan. I'll be fine." She whispered, and she tried one more time to get up, and managed to get herself to a better sitting position. She reached for a nearby broken table, and grabbed hold of it, there she pulled herself to her feet. She was very unstable, and swayed violently, but made herself stand still.
She saw her great sword laying there on the ground, and cursed, even though, she knew she wouldn't have enough strength to hold the heavy weapon.
Fehade grinned at the elf, ready for any attack that may come, though, he kept an eye on the girl, not wanting to be taken by surprise again, that would just annoy him.
Kyrus - November 28, 2007 03:19 AM (GMT)
Kyrus(Samathan) grinned at Fehade "So you understand the elven tongue do you?" he said "but I wonder, how good is your knowledge of elves. Tell me of what elven kindred do you think I am?" he asked curiously as he swung his blade at the Tiefling again. Because Kyrus was a High Elf he had had training in sword fighting and the art of battle, which increased his effectiveness in battle. He looked to Zehavya and drew back from the fight going to her side "Shadeen distract him while I look to Zehavya," he said his elven accent strong. He began chanting in elven and a blue light swirled about Zehavya's injuries.
Shadeen - November 28, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
Shadeen nodded at Zehavya when she told her to go help. She wasn’t sure exactly how she would manage to do that but she got to her feet anyway, wishing she could do something to Zehavya. She supposed the best she could do would be to deal with Fehade in any way she could think of. But her mind drew a blank. She gripped the hilt of her katana and stared at Fehade.
”I don’t plan on dying,” She whispered, breathing in deeply. She started to mentally prepare herself to lunge or dodge or just fight. She would come out alive, she would live through this. She told herself over and over again. When Samathan appeared at her side she was slightly surprised but never let her gaze leave Fehades.
”Yeah...Leaving me alone to distract a demon. Good idea,” Now or never. She lunged at Fehade and swung her katana in an arc not bothering to notice if she made contact or not. She ploughed forwards constantly swinging her weapon. She didn’t know why but her gut told her that if she stopped, even for a second, she would die.
Kyrus - November 28, 2007 08:38 PM (GMT)
Samathan(Kyrus) wanted to get up and help his friend Shadeen, really he did but he had to tend to Zehavya first. She was injuried and he could not just stand around and leave her like that "Shadeen, you can do it. I believe in you," he said, trying his best to sound encouraging "I only need a few moments to tend to Zehavya and then I will be back with you." He was trying to speed up the healing while still making sure he did it correctly, oh how he wanted to be at Shadeen's side, to help her in this battle.
Zehavya - December 2, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
"But I wonder, how good is your knowledge of elves. Tell me of what elven kindred do you think I am?"
Suddenly Fehade burst into laughter, as he brought his blade up, blocking the elf's simple attack. The tiefling had put a lot of strength into the block, hoping to make the elf stumble. "And what has that to do with this, little elf? Just because I understand your pathetic tongue doesn't mean I have to know what elf you are. They are all stuck-up, ignorant fools, who hide in their precious lands, hiding from the human race." He laughed, grinning wildly. Some would think he was insane, but actually, he was quite sane... at times. When the elf left the battle to help the tieflings half-sister, he frowned, a little disappointed. He turned to face his new opponent. The girl.
Zehavya growled threateningly at Samathan when he came over and used his heal spell. She wanted to punch the elf in the face for being so stupid. She didn't need to be healed, she had her own spell, and would have used it if she could. Not even a healing spell could give you energy back, and thats what she lacked. She was weak, not really wounded. The spot where the negative energy was healed slightly, but it didn't matter.
"You idiot! Go fight Fehade, don't help me! I'm fine!" She snapped at Samathan, anger glowing in her purple eyes, and they seemed brighter then usual.
Fehade blocked the girls attacks, he was annoyed at how she did attack after attack, but it hardly left time for him to attack, therefore, he merely blocked. For now.
"Feisty one, you are." Fehade hissed. Then he glanced at Zehavya and the elf, as he blocked one of the girls attacks. "Yes, little elf, come and join to fun. I'll make sure to go easy on you. You won't get hurt... much." Fehade laughed, grinning again, then turned to the girl again, bringing his sword up to block any attack.
Shadeen - December 2, 2007 03:44 AM (GMT)
Her sword wasn’t proving very useful, although she felt that by not stopping she was at least not dying. Her breathing was getting shorter and she knew that she wouldn’t be able to carry on this way for much longer without any help. She needed to do something. She wished desperately that Zehavya was up helping her. With that thought she heard her voice hissing at Samathan.
Yes please help me! She could feel the sweat break out on her body but she felt speaking wouldn’t help her at all and so she kept the thought to herself, and wracked her brain for something, anything, that would help her put the odds more in her favour.
The way he blocked she could tell that if she let him in for even a second then she would be dead. He could see each of her attacks coming. What she needed was to catch him off guard, catch him so that he couldn’t anticipate her next move and therefore couldn’t block it. But what? What? Then something came to her, it was so outrageous but it was the only thing she had.
I hope this works.
Shadeen swung her sword and planted one foot in front of her. Swung again and brought up the other as fast as she could manage, hoping for her boot to come in contact with his leg, shin, anything, as long as it surprised him enough to give her a fighting chance.
