Title: New Chosen PrC

Lady Era - October 23, 2007 05:26 PM (GMT)
I don't know if it should be sad that a new God finished his PrC before me or not...

Anyways, The God of Light has his own PrC for all those intrested! Lux Lucis Censura is now avalable for all who qualify! Clerics and Paladens will enjoy this class I think. Well done Gregory Faust!

Edit:

And now my own is up! The Burning Fist is my Chosen PrC. ^_^ I hope that I get more then just pyromancers with this class, as it's more for fighters!

Good job to both of you, though I can't say I'm too much of a big fan of the Lux Lucis Censura. Too many of the abilites are based of spells which means that the class isn't readily as useful for those that already have the spells and means that the class ultimately has less new to offer in general. :(

Rothardan - October 23, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
I agree with Era on that comment, I am still going to buy it just to prove I'm Greg's man but there isn't really much to offer for those who have actually got the spells/weapons already.

A suggestion would be to add special abilities that you can't buy in shops as well as the spells.

Master Ace - October 23, 2007 08:14 PM (GMT)
ooh, And one more note on the cleric added spell lists. Dispel magic and illusion arent't very holy/good/ or light in any manner and travel too far into the domain of magic. Getting an ability called Dispel evil which dispels evil magic, magic from evil beings, and banishes demons/devils would be a better alternative to Dispel magic. I don't know what to say about Illusion, though it's not something good Clerics would use often. Most that walk the path of light would not use such magical trickery.

Should you redo parts of the class I suggest adding new special abilites. Having much less spells and allowing the chosen to choose free spells from the clerics hand shop or even the lyfe magic shop. That would allow more customization to the class and make it not be so much of a bummer for those already holding a fair share of holy spells as most warrior/mages of the light would before becoming your chosen.

Possibly you could also make Clerics lean more towards magical power and paladins lean more towards physical power. After all traditionally Paladins use very little magic and that which they use is weaker than clerics.

Just my 2.5 cents.

Siiigh~ [/Eyeroll]

I'll polish it up to appease the masses.

Master Ace - October 23, 2007 09:58 PM (GMT)
:P Sorry, Fausty. If you need any help in polishing I'm willing to help.

Gregory Faust - October 23, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
There. Check it out

Master Ace - October 23, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Good job, Though....

Knowledge: Religion is a skill not a feat (It's also technically not 'holyish', though I can see why you could what them to know of the god of darkness and his allied gods, of Gregory Faust and the gods that are his allies, as well as the allies, and of course of the gods that don't openly favor either side.

You said the dove becomes a part of the chosen in level two, though you didn't say that the Dove was obtained in level one or when becoming a chosen (as I think you said ealier in da c-box). If the dove is part of becoming chosen then that will be straightened out once you post your thing for your chosen, otherwise you might wish to do some rewording.

Your class has six levels. Aside from having no price on that sixth level it'd probably be better to make it five levels as the other Divine prestige class only have five levels.

Lastly, you aren't nessecarily wrong, but If your chosen are required to be ARPers then it is rather redundant to put up the requirment again in PrC. I only bring this up because I think it's tacky to have Requirments that don't reffer to your character directly. IC ARPers are no different from normal Rpers.

Yes, but after it's all said and done. Good job. ^_^

...

>:P

Fine. I'll straighten out the Dove thing, I'll fix the prices rather than get rid of a level, just because the other gods have five doesn't mean I have to conform.

oh plus, just so you know, I already had this chosen cleared for running, and when it was posted up here it wasn't posted for your comments or opinions. I'm just following through because I'm out there to make y'all happy, and after this I won't change it again.

Master Ace - October 24, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
Of course you had it cleared before you you posted it up. :P I was just trying to help out with a few things that seemed a bit off to me XP. We've already covered the ground that despite being lawful you are the non-conformist god XP.

Gregory Faust - October 24, 2007 02:14 PM (GMT)
Aight. Fixed up that prices err, as well as explained the dove as a mark of their status as a chosen. Also, it is not required of my chosen to have recieved the ARP status, the only requirement of my chosen is that Gregory takes a liking to them and trusts them to uphold his values.

Siiiigh~[/EyerollYetAgain]
If you have any more comments or concerns, shoot away. I suppose I will still try to polish it up to make everyone happy.

just know, Ace, that I do this for Tock and the other followers. >.<

Ornell - October 25, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
 And that is why I sent mine to Ace first! :P

He's got some good ideas, though don't feel you have to follow them. I did and do apreciate the help though; I've never made a PrC before. It was hard after posting the Inferno class though. Had to make it different.

Parhaps I can add a fighter class PrC besides Charger... Not as a Goddess, but as a Co-Admin, which would mean everyone can help if they want! ^_^

Isn't there one in D&D that gets really good spell resistance stuff? I wonder if I need to go look it up...

It looks fantastic with all the updates! Time to buy me a new prestiege class!
