Demetrious - October 19, 2007 01:28 AM (GMT)
It was a dark and cold night as Demetrious walked the road. He walked the town of Taras, looking for something to do. He walked the roads until he noticed that he was in the dark side of Taras. He walked up to an old building, He noticed an old shabby sign with the words "Bloodseal Tavern". Demetrious walked up to the old door and pushed it open. He entered the building only to get a bad taste of smoke and a smell of alcohol. The room was dark and damp. He looked around and saw some people who obviously had there fair share to drink. Yet the smell of ale kept him staring at the intoxicated people. Finally Demetrious summoned up the courage and sat down on a chair next to the counter and ordered a large glass of ale. While waiting for his drink to arrive he took a quick look around the pub to see if he recognized any familiar faces.. Sadly no one he saw he could remember.he turned around to find his drink had arrived. Demetrious drank it slowly.

"well me n' me chum went to the lake and fished that lake good, i was there sitting on the shore.........dumpy dew.........well then i saw a fish the size of me head, i casted my rod, and bam me fell in da wata, it was chilled as me bones.........." a drunken man slurred. Demetrious tuned out after that part trying to wrap His head around what the man was saying.

"yes there are some big fish in the lakes now and then" Demetrious said to the man, before He walked away. He saw a whole bunch of men sitting to a big round table about to start a dice game. "Would you like to join, we only need one more person" the biggest man said.

"Hmm. well i have never played a game like this, so yes i will join in" Demetrious said as he sat down at the round table. He looked at some of the men at the table a found out fast that the men were badly intoxicated. Demetrious looked in the center of the table and noticed that there was money in the middle of the table. He reached in his pocket and threw in one of his gold pieces.

Dalin was in trouble now...and for once, it wasn't his fault. He was simply minding his own bussines, earning some money, like always. He had enough money to rent a room in the inn, finally! He was on his way to do so, but he took some wrong turn. Dalin found himself in the bad side of town and though it was his first time there he knew about the area.
In the late night, in the dark corners, people were talking...some said that vampires can be found there, and some said among the residents of the area you can find the biggest crime lords in Taras.
Though Dalin didn't know if those were true, he did know that thieves are all over the place. Not thieves like that kid that he just saw...Not thieves that steal your money and run...Muggers, murderers, those who don't give you the option to choose between your money or your life, but rather take both.

However, there is no warning sign in the enterance...It dosen't appear or any map or anything. If you know that you shouldn't go there, good for you. If you don't...
Well, Dalin didn't know. He thought he was going in the right way...Before he could do any thing, some local mugger attacked him. He asked for his money and promised not to hurt him, but Dalin knew better then that. He attacked, and Dalin fought back. He even managed to win, injure the man and force him to surnder.
But then his friends showed up...A group of thugs who smelled of alcohol. The drunken lowlifes came to aid their friend, and Dalin ran away. They were many - eight at the very least. Dalin had to find a place to hide from them, somewhere where they won't look. He ran down the streets, taking sudden turns to lose them, but they kept chasing him, swearing and shouting.
He finally found some place where he could hide: Bloodseal Tavern.

Ths Bloodseal Tavern had a name in Taras, and of course Dalin knew about it.
In this place, according to the rumours, people disappear there all the time. The wrost folk in Taras gather there, talk about their devious schemes over some ale...
He couldn't think of a wrost place to spend the night at, but the thugs were getting close and he had to hide somewhere.
Dalin opened the door, walked in and quickly closed it behind him.
Strong smell of alcohol filled the room, as well as smoke. Dalin coughed a little and walked across the room, looking around him.
People were sitting around tables. Many of them wearing hoods, many of them should be wearing hoods...
As Dalin walked he came across a big round table. A group of men played some dice game. It was obviously a betting game, as there was money on the table.
He could hear the men that were chasing him all the way here, shouting. He knew they were getting close, and though he didn't want to bet he knew that he can join the game and they will probably won't notice him. Just another man in the tavern.

"Hmm. well i have never played a game like this, so yes i will join in"
Another man joined the game. Dalin quickly grabbed himself a stool and sat down himself, lowering his face so that he won't be seen.
"I would like to join too, if I may."
Dalin tossed a coin on the table, moving nervously in his sit.

A dark cloaked figure walked the streets of Taras, into the darker side of the city. She knew it wasn't the best place to be, but here, she wasn't has badly wanted dead. She made her way towards the tavern, where she has a room at. She decided to go on a trip, to explore more, leaving her house in the care of the servants, with Blackquill to supervise them, and watch the many cats Sava had recently bought. Her cloak bellowed after her, every now and then, revealing two shimmering longswords at her sides, that were magical, a Air Blade, and Lightning blade.

She turned down the street with Bloodseal tavern on it, and walked towards it, right then, thugs also turned down it, looking like they were searching for someone. Probably some poor fellow, she thought stopping and watching them, her hands touching the blade hilts, making sure they were there if there was trouble. A small smile lit her face, an evil like smile, and she ran towards them, and pointed down the street she had just come from.

"I saw a man running that way." She called to them, her voice was filled with a fake fear. The men didn't even think about what she said, they were drunk, and no one when drunk thinks right, they started to run off that way, not bothering to look in the tavern. She loved doing that sort of thing.

Sava then strolled into the tavern, grimacing at the smell, but she was getting used to it, since she has been staying here for the past two days. She went to the bar counter and sat down, ordering elven wine. It took a while for it to get here, but when it did, she took it and sipped it. She loved the taste the wine had. She pulled down the hood of her cloak, revealing her face. Her black and green hair was cut a little shorter again, to her shoulders. She turned her head to see people playing dice, and after a moment, turned in her sit, to watch, though, she wasn't one to gamble, she didn't like to gamble away her gold, and she was terrible at playing those games. She took a drink of her wine.

Makorin Nexodus had been renting a room at the Bloodseal Tavern for a few nights now. Tonight was planned to be hsi last. while he was a thief, he didn't particularily enjoy the area this tavern was located in.
"Well..." he thought, "May as well go downstairs and enjoy my last evening here."

He proceeded to make himself look somewhat presentable. Just because he was going down to a smelly, dirty bar didn't mean that he had to follow suit.

5 minutes later, Makorin came down the stairs and was amongst the room of drunks. It looked liek any average night. Deadbeat husbands drinking their sorrows away, or gambling their money liek the idiots they became when they were intoxicated...or perhaps they were already idiots to begin with.

Regardless, Makorin took notice of a woman at the bar counter. she had black hair with green streaks, and was apparently watching some drunks gambling their gold. He decided to approach this woman and see if he could get any sober conversation from her.
"Evening." he said, taking a seat next to her. He paused for a moment, and then continued, "Busy night, huh?"

Demetrious - October 26, 2007 07:36 PM (GMT)
"well boys I'm done for awhile going to get a certain drink" Demetrious said as he looked around the drunken, smelly table. Demetrious got up and started to walk towards the bar, he passed by a table that had two men siting at it, well not sitting anymore, their table was loaded with empty shot glasses. "looks like they both lost, ha ha" Demetrious gave out a loud but quiet chuckle. he approached the bar, seeing a woman with black and green hair. He was wondering what a woman like that was in a place like this. Demetrious got to the bar just in time for a man to walk up to the women.

"Evening.Busy night, huh?" the man said as he sat there. Demetrious saw the drink that the women had. his thoughts overlooked his mind " hmm a women that looks like that does not want to be in a place like this, drinking a drink like that" Demetrious talked to himself, not out loud but in his mind. A part of him wanted to go back to the game, another part wanted him to get the same drink as the women, another part of him wanted him to go outside and throw up, but he sat there looking at the ales and liquor behind the bar jockey, trying to find her drink, but nothing.

"excuse me sir, ill have what shes having." Demetrious said as he looked at the women. He wondered if she noticed what Demetrious was buying. Demetrious saw some stairs, he got off of his stool, downed his wine and walked towards the stairs he got to the third step and looked around, he got to the top of the stairs only to see some doors. Demetrious walked up to the first door. "arg...locked" Demetrious said out loud. He walked up to the next door turned the handle. The door opened, Demetrious saw a bed a sink and a bath tub. Demetrious walked in the room, the door stayed opened, as Demetrious sat down on the bed, He passed out right there, the door, wide opened, He just laid there.

Dalin looked at the door. It looks like no one is coming...Dalin couldn't hear them too...Is it possible that they left? Maybe they didn't know that he went into the inn and kept chasing him down the street. Well, great, I guess I will leave now...
Another man that was sitting at the table left and went for the bar. The drunken men around the table didn't notice him. No reason they will notice Dalin.
Dalin reached out for his coin, took it and placed it back in his backpack.
One of the man did notice Dalin, however, and he was angry. "Hi, where you think you are going?!" The man raised from his sit. Few heads turned and looked at them. The last thing Dalin wanted was attention, in this place.
"Ok, ok, sorry..." Dalin throwed the coin back on the table and sat down.

The men kept their dice game, a game that Dalin had no idea how to play. He hoped that they will just pass on his turn, or maybe he will manage to understand the game by watching them. The same man that caught him tring to leave still watching him, making sure he will not try to leave again.
He was the only men around the table that was sober enough to see Dalin, it seems. Maybe if he will leave, or drink too much, Dalin could finally get out of this place.
Dalin turned his head, looking at the rest of the inn. No one was looking at the table right now, at least no one he could see. He felt someone touching his arm.
He turned around to see the man next to him handing him the dice.

"Your turn."

Nightwind - October 30, 2007 02:13 PM (GMT)
She continued to watch the game, thinking them all fools for wasting their money. Why wopuld someone want to do that? It seemed pointless to the dragon. She cocked her head, still staring, not taking notice of the man who come closer, till he spoke.

"Evening. Busy night, huh?"

She jumped slightly, then look over at the man. Human, he looked to be. She looked him over a moment, then turned back to the game the drunks played. "Yep, it is here." She merely said, taking a drink of her wine, and savored the taste a moment. As she watched them play, she noticed a man get up, and get a drink close to her, saying something, she glanced at him a moment, but soon didn't pay attention to him really. Why should she, when there were a lot of others in here.

She saw some getting up, like he wanted to leave, but one of the other men kept him there. She noticed, that it was a man she had helped get to the Healing Hall, because he had got hit in the head by a warhorse. Slowly, a smile found its self on her face, but it was soon, quickly gone, she turned to the man who had talked to her before.

"So, who are you? I've never seen you about." She asked. It was strange, all of a sudden, there were new faces everywhere in Taras. She wondered where her old friends were. A part of her really missed her best friend Shain. She hadn't seen him in forever. She longed to see her friends again.

At first, it seemed that the woman ignored Makorin. It didn't affect him really...Sometimes people came to the bar just for a quiet drink..Nothing personal.

But, unexpectedly, the woman turned back around to face Makorin and asked, "So, who are you? I've never seen you about."

A small part of Makorin wanted to boast that he was the Hidden Shadow, a thief that was uncatchable. It must've been his ego. thankfully, his mind was stronger, and told him that boasting his title would only lead to trouble.
"Call me Makorin..." he responded, "I'm surprised you haven't seen me around here though... I've been staying here for a few days now...Ah well."

A minute or two passed. Makorin signaled to the bartender to get him some ale. Another minute passed and the drink was now in makorin's hand, about to be sipped.
"So.." he said, looking back at the woman, "Who are you, and what are you doing in a place like this?"
