Title: A Deadly Glint
Description: (Open!)
Silvan Silverwind - September 5, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
She crouched on top of a sloping roof, her long hair blowing. Her bright green eyes were bright, and looked as if they were glowing. She had alarmingly pale skin, almost white. On the roof, not to far away, sat Aver. She looked at the empty night of Balefire, the streets empty, except a patrol of guards going by. A wide, crazed smile spread across Silvan's face, eyes suddenly gleaming with hunger, for killing. A hand hovering over her Katana. She looked over at Aver, who was angry at Silvan, though, she didn't really know why.
"No need to sulk, Aver." She said, her voice quiet, and deadly. she cocked her head slightly, as she looked at Aver, who glanced back, but went to stare at the guards going by. "Why are you insisting we go home to turn ourselves in, we can't give in to there pitiful attempts to capture us."
"Pitiful?! They're killing the children of our village!" He snapped angrily, staring over at her, and she stared back ,a cold glare now in her eyes.
"It was our village, but no longer, friend." Silvan whispered, looking away, and at the guards once more, the hungry look, once more in her eyes.
"I don't even know you anymore... don't call me a friend, Selia." He snapped again, standing, and then slid down the roof, and jumping at the last minute, and landing lightly on the ground before, and running through the shadows. The woman assassin watching him go, then he was out of sight, and she sat down and sighed. He will never see things the way she did. A odd glint flashed through her green eyes.

From a vantage point on the roof, he had heard the entire argument between them. The girl was angry at Aver, his target, and Aver was trying to save the people of their village. The girl said it wasn't thier village anymore and Aver left.
So they were fighting amonkst themselves, eh? All the easier to catch. He mused the thought of chasing Aver, but decided, that he would rather use the girl to draw him in. The girl wouldn't be much trouble. All he needed to do was pose as an ally, then jump her. Not too much trouble.
Kalarn silently climbed up onto the roof, the wind blowing his cloak. He stalked down to where Silvan was and whispered in her ear, saying, "You should follow him. Who knows what...trouble he'll land himself in..." He stepped backwards, blending with the moonless night. He put a hand on his wand, drawing it into a position against his waist.

Silvan jumped up and whipped her katana out once she heard the first breath of him speaking, and she stared at the man, who was blending quite well in the dark, but she could still see him. She narrowed her eyes slightly.
"He is quite capable of protecting himself." She said, in a more like snarl. Who was the person? And why would he care if Aver got himself in trouble. Sides, Silvan could care less about her friends safety, he was a well trained assassin like herself, they were trained to avoid trouble, and how to get out of it. They were trained anything you needed to know to be an assassin.
"Why would a stranger even care for my friends safety?" She asked, anger clear in her deadly like voice. A glare was in her eyes, as she watched the figure, keeping an eye out for any signs of danger. You can never be sure when a stranger will pull out a attack. Her grip tightened on her sword. She hoped this won't lead to a battle or anything she didn't feel like killing, or fighting, at the moment anyway. she never really kills unless she wold get paid for it.
((OOC: Hey, can you make your next posts longer?
Also, thanks for replying ^_^ ))

He threw out his arms wide. He pointed his wand at her, the other hand in a defensive stance.
"I am working fo a rather nasty gang right now. Not nearly as dangerous as the Yakuza. All the same..."
He jumped onto the next roof, just barely making the jump. "Your buddie's in the Bingo Book." He laughed. "Wouldn't want to be him, that's for sure." He tore off a few shingles. and a light came from the house underneath. He laughed and reached down inside the house. He drew out a scroll of paper. and unfurled it.
Something fell out of the scroll. Kalarn picked it up and nibbled it. He smiled and tossed it over to the assassin. "That's your buddies finger, they tell me they shot a kunai at him and cut off his finger. He escaped though. They'll get him anyway." He laughed again.
Silvan Silverwind - September 9, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
She narrowed her gaze. Gambling. Yeah, she's done it, same as Aver, but never have both of them ever been chased. She then let out a shrill laugh, almost a mocking laugh. She then caught what he had thrown. Well, her friend got in a mess this time, not the first, but she could really not even care if was dangerous or less. All the same to her.
"Well, well, he's done it this time. To bad you won't catch him, he and I, are trained for this thing, as I'm sure you can tell. But he's to good, whether or not he owes you something, he'll get it to you, he never fails, if he does, then torture him for all I care, we're quite used to it, doubt he'll even give a grunt." She said, yawning, acting like she was bored. No, they won't catch him, and if he did owe them something, then he would get it for them, he gives what he owes, even if its killing an innocent soul.
"What does my dearest friend, owe such a pathetic group?" She asked, tapping her foot slightly, eyes watching the man, and flicked over the wand, though, it didn't interest her.
((So you know, Aver is a account I have, so you can't really do anything as him, like having the group capture him or anything without my permission... and blah blah, I keep on talking, lol))

He laughed even harder.
"No! The Bingo Book is a gang "wanted" list, stupid! Not sure why they want to kill him, though. Though, it seems less and less likely they got the right guy. Hmmm"
He kneeled by the opening and spoke rapidly in a foriegn language. "Black hair, brown eyes, big nose..." He got up and turned back to the assassin, saying, "Hey does your Aver look like that?" Not waiting for an answer, he continued, saying, "They probobly got the wrong guy. Fools!"
He looked at Silvan for a second and turned back. "I suppose it would be wrong to use her as bait, but its him or no pay." He put his fingers in his mouth and whistled sharply, twice. "The Hunter is a'coming. Might wanna step back." He said quietly to himself.
He stepped back two paces and a giant monster landed on the roof. It has the bottom portion of a crab and the tob half of a strange, shelled, spider. Kalarn smiled and jumped on its large back. He urged the spider/crab to jump forwardd and the spider jumped closer to Silvan, shooting a web at her.
(OOC:They didn't really get him, they got someone else in a haste to get back fast.)
Silvan Silverwind - September 9, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
Silvan sighed. She felt quite stupid then, but oh well, like he said, they may get the wrong person. "Stupid me..." She mumbled, a little angry. If she wanted to, she would have attacked the man for calling her stupid, but, she didn't want to have a fight at the moment.
She was starting to get quite annoyed. She heard him speak a description, and then he turned to her, and asked if thats what he looked like. Silvan merely gave a light shrug, not finding it important to say anything, after all, like he said, they would most likely get the wrong person.
"I suppose it would be wrong to use her as bait, but its him or no pay."
She narrowed her gaze, though, stepped back once he whistled, and a large spider, crab thing came. She stared at it wide eyed, then it shot a web at her, and she ducked out of the way, then, out of the way of the web, she ran to the edge of the roof, and jumped, landing on the street below with a thud, and she hurt from the empact. At least it was a small building. She wasn't about to be used for anything.

Kalarn was angry as the web missed. It had happened once. It cannot, will not, return. He swung the monster onto the next roof and made it shoot another web at her. This time it hit the roof, barely missing her. He scowled again, holding back a string of curses.
He made the monster jump down and as it did, a dart, flew out and hit it in the neck. When the monster fell down, the dart fell down. Anyone could see the traces of poisonn still on the dart tip. "Not HIM again!" Kalarn turned to see a man, his sand colored breeched tied with white cloth, still holding the blowpipe to his "lips".
He has a ragged cloak that may have been tan at one time. His face is completely covered by a smooth mask that is light blue. The mask has slits for the eyes and a fanged maw for a mouth.
Silvan Silverwind - September 15, 2007 04:02 PM (GMT)
She stood against the wall, as the thing shot another web at her. If she stayed here, and the thing up there, it couldn't get it, but they would most likely have the monster come and get her. "Fun, fun, a little chase," She thought, but right then, the monster fell, a dart and hit it, and she noticed the poison dripping. She stayed silent in the shadows, and looked to where the dart came from.
She saw the man in a ragged cloak, and odd mask, and wondered who he was, and why he seemed to help her. She stayed silent as she could, and so far, she made no noise whatsoever. She was trained for stealth. She wondered what will happen now, she heard the one who wanted her to be bait say something. He obviously knew the man with the darts.
Normally, she would have left, and no one would know where she would be, but she stayed here, to see what will happen. She looked at the most likely dead monster, a disgusted look in her eyes.
Midnight Dragoon - September 16, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Kalarn scowled at the man, saying, "Back, this is my quarry!" He tore a claw from the dead monster and hurled it at the man, at the same time, hurling a fang. The man dodged the claw, but the fang hit him in the head. He sank down onto his knees, one hand holding his head as he groaned.
Kalarn tore off on of the giant fangs with a loud tearing sound and hurled it and the face of the man. The man, seeing it, jumped over and hurled a stolen shingle from the house roof. Kalarn grabbed it, ignoring the blood dripping from his hands. He hurled it back and it hit and invisible wall the man apparently conjured.
Kalarn jumped onto the roof and clawed at him. The man dodged with suprising agility and landed a punch on his face. Growling, Kalarn slashed at the man's mask. With a clatter, it fell off. All the could be seen by Kalarn was a mass of scars, covering most of his face.
Silvan Silverwind - September 16, 2007 02:22 AM (GMT)
The man who had the mask on, and the one who wanted her, fought. She watched the battle, finding it a little boring. She sees battles all the time, this didn't seem much different. She figured she should help the man, since he helped her. She wondered why she felt she should help? He was scum like all. Then the mask fell from the mans face, that seemed quite scarred.
Sighing, she pulled out her katana, and slipped over to where they fought, and appeared behind Kalarn, her weapon in a tight grip.
"You are starting to annoy me." She said to the half-dragon. "I will be no ones bait." Her voice was edged deadly, a cold look in her gaze. She won't tolerate this, being bait. People fighting. She was annoyed severely. A part of her wanted to run off, so they won't find her, and another part wanted to try and kill the half-dragon.
Midnight Dragoon - September 16, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Kalarn laughed. "No one can kill me. It is not my time yet. Flashburst!" A light exploded and when it faded, Kalarn was behind Silvan, his claws next to her main arterie. "I can end this right now if you want."
He placed his hand on the hilt of the sword, holding it firmly. "You see, in the moment of hesitation, you are weak, while I am strong. I can not die as Ragnarok is on the rise. Those blessed by the lord Ciepheid are Swift, both in mind and body."
He looked at the scarred man, saying, "He is weak. Those who lose are weak and those who win are stronger. Do you want to be like him? No matter, time is short." He let go off her blade, but kept his claws at her throat. He took the mask off the ground and scowled at it. "What a strange mask for one so strange."
