Title: Aggressions released...
Description: {P}Phiros vs Nyla
Nyla - August 6, 2007 12:28 AM (GMT)
Walking along a river, Nyla had her boots off moving only by feel along the water's edge, she heard the crashing of water on distant rocks, the sun was just setting, but she didn't dare look to check. Sitting beside the top of the falls, she pulled out a large jar, and a small ball of fluf, popping a sweet sugary candy into her mouth she offered one to the fluff ball. "Ok, if you want this promise me you'll take the back pack down to the bottom of the falls, but be careful, Coal is in there, ok?" She said, and was assured by the little paw that flew up in salute, and the other that grabbed the candy from her hand, laughing she kissed his head, and handed him the bag to be flown to the bottom.
"Squishy is it safe?" She asked and was answered only by the little paws lifting the brown fabric from her eyes, smiling she stood, and put her boots on and dove off the edge of the clife. Watching the dark night's water falling with her, the cool sensation of the water around her face, and body, it was a welcome change from the bright, hot, and frightening sun. Pulling herself out of the water she sighed, and took off her cloak keeping her dragon jewel close.
Turning her head, as she heard a noise, she called out in a deeper stern voice. "Who's there, show yourself!" She demanded rather than asked.
Lord Phiros - August 28, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
The night was close at hand. A good thing for the Winged Demon, seeing as the hot sun was like hell to him. Or in this case.... like heaven. He brushed through the tall grass, the trees and the bothersome bushes. The insects that inhabited the small body of forest flew about the demon's figure. The smell Phiros emitted was one the insects found quite irresistable. The smell of blood, from a previous prey... the smell of sweat, leaking from the pours of his palms... the smell of a fresh meal. Yes, Phiros offered the insects everything they needed. However, Phiros was not one to be taken advantage of so easily. That's where the never ending swatting would come in. Bug after bug they fell. A victim to the giant hand of Phiros.
Moments would pass and Phiros had already exited the small body of forest that surrounded the area of Memphian Falls. The demon had grown to like these falls. He didn't know what it was. The sound of the waves crashing into the sharp rocks, the fresh smell of the fresh green grass, the memory of a once glorious battle fought on this very soil... perhaps it was each and every one of those reasons, or perhaps it was something more.... or something less. Whatever it was, it managed to catch the attention of a half-fiend.
Suddenly, a voice was heard echoing across Memphian Falls. It came from the small girl who stood firmly not ten feet away. Nyla? That girl again? Damnit.... just my luck. Wretched girl! Phiros scoffed, seeing Nyla wasn't exaclty something he was looking forward to. He didn't really hate the girl, but she was annoying beyond belief. What he did like about her though was that she stood her ground, and retorted with everything Phiros had to say about her. However, even so, Phiros still didn't want anything to do with her. "Why are you still here? I would have guessed someone like you would have left such a place as this a long time ago." Phiros smirked, he knew Memphian Falls was a nice place... but he also knew that it was a most dangerous one. maybe Nyla didn't know that, maybe she was too stubborn to figure it out. Soon enough though, it would all be apparent to her.
OOC - Sorry, I could have made it longer, but I was kicked off in mid-post.
Nyla - August 31, 2007 01:51 AM (GMT)
Nyla heard the voice and tensed imediatly. "What makes you think you understand anything about me? What do you base this idea of me wanting to leave such a wonderful place, such a beautiful view of the moon, wouldn't you say?" She spoke in a cool voice that hid her feelings of anger, she didn't much care for Phiros, he was quite troublesome, and she really had to think when she defended herself from him. He really wasn't as dimwitted as most people were, his words were hard to twist, but he was easy to annoy. "So why haven't you left? I wouldn't have pictured you as one to love beauty and natural scenery." She said smiling as sweetly as she could, as she reached down to put a hand on her hip, discreatly covering the hilt of a daggar in case things escalated to a point of violence. Though she did have more than weapons on her side, there was always magic if he tried anything now.
Looking down at Squishy she smiled and indicated a tree near the edge of the water, the little chipicana squeaked and grabbed the back pack and flew it to a middle branch and sitting in the safety of the leaves and wood. The small creature was easy to hide in the folliage, and the brown of the back pack blended with the trunk and branches. "But then I don't know you either, so you may very well have a soft spot for places like this, the waters always changing but the scenery stays the same. A sense of a shift, but the stability of sameness, wonderful how nature can be so contradicting, isn't it?" She turned her back to him and looked up at the waterfall that was crashing against the rocks, a cruel beauty in a sense of its ability to crush rock and most likely bone. Sighing she closed her eyes and let her ears tell her what he was doing, she trusted her ears more then her eyes, they only made her clumsy at times.
((OOC: S'ok mine could have come a little quicker))
Lord Phiros - September 12, 2007 02:46 AM (GMT)
Phiros had taken the attention he gave to Nyla, paying it to his and Nyla's surroundings. The trees, the moon, the water crashing down... it was all so magnificent. However, the magnificence of it all would be shot down upon the coming of the female's words. He snickered as Nyla's statement came to a close. What she had to say... it showed growth in the girl. She wasn't the same person he knew before.... she wasn't the same dimwitted, clumsy creature he thought her to be. Her tone, her very way of speaking told Phiros just that. Heh, looks like she's done some growing over the past while.... then the time to answer her question. First Phiros would tilt his head back, sending his gaze upward, to the motionless moon that spread it's dim rays of light upon the bosom of the world. Nyla was right, for once. The moon looked exceptionally beautiful this night. Even Phiros couldn't argue with that. "Aye... the moon is a wondrous thing." Phiros averted his gaze just then, sending it back to Nyla. She spoke some more, something about seeing Phiros as someone who wouldn't love beauty or natural scenery. Was she kidding? The natural beauty that is this world was the only thing Phiros did love. He loved no other, no woman, no man... no creature of any sort. So naturally, being the angry, agressive guy that Phiros most definately was, this statement, made by Nyla, annoyed him.
Just as Phiros was about to express his feelings about Nyla's statement, she separated her lips and spoke yet again. "But then I don't know you either, so you may very well have a soft spot for places like this, the waters always changing but the scenery stays the same. A sense of a shift, but the stability of sameness, wonderful how nature can be so contradicting, isn't it?" was what she said. Again, she was right. Two times in a row was a new record for her, atleast in Phiros' eyes. And so, having heard what she had to say, Phiros too would summon his own words, "Heh heh heh... Nyla, you surprise me. You seem to know more about me than I thought. However," Phiros' eyes flashed red, his knuckles were tensing, his intensions becomming more and more twisted with each passing second. What he was about to do was something even Nyla should have predicted.
With a blink of an eye, Phiros' entire form dissapeared, leaving nothing in his stay. Within an instant, he reappeared behind the standing form of Nyla, a newly formed ball of darkness within his grasp. "You failed to see my intensions with your wretched self!" with that, Phiros let go of his newly spawned orb of darkness, firing it at Nyla's lower back. What damage it would do, Phiros knew not. He had only enough time to summon forth the orb of darkness, and no time to actually fill it with additional energy.... that would have proved to be helpful in his attack.
Nyla was a rather smart girl, smarter than Phiros thought. Perhaps she would somehow parry this attack, perhaps she wouldn't.... whatever the case, Nyla was going to have her hands full....
I've been wanting to do that for a long time.....
OOC - BAH!!! I keep getting kicked off in mid-post!! Meh, it's a a good enough length anyway..... however it could have been better. Sorry. :s
