Title: Angry Thoughts
Nightwind - July 19, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
Well, this was here home, she bought it, and she had it. She had servants, who cleaned, and sometimes cooked, but Sava mostly went out to find her own food. Today, she walked in the entrance hall, walking past the four doors into the lounge like room. In her human form, she wore a long black silky dress, with bell sleeves. The dress trailed after her a bit, though, she wasn't one to wear dresses, but, she wanted to try it out, and see if she liked it, even if she was a warrior, not a noble, but, she owned a house now, and she should have fun with it, and it was large, she considered making it large enough so she could fit through it in dragon form, but decided against it, not wanting to break things when she did, and she has a lot of beautiful things here.
Silently, she walked to one side, and sat down on a couch, and soon after, the dark umbra kit Felix came running over, and jumping up beside her, and curling, and Savarkael stroked the young umbra, smiling.
She looked out a window that was in the room, and noticed it was evening. The day was going slow, and quiet. She stood, and went back through the entrance hall, Felix close behind her, and then went outside. Trees surrounded her home, how she wanted. It was nice to have a home, and not having to carry a bunch of supplies, and having to always travel, here, she could do what she wants, and to have fun, and she liked that. Outside, also, was a pond nearby, she walked to the waters edge, and leaned against the tree, letting her thoughts wander, mostly thinking if Fios was alive or dead, even though, she hardly cared, she hated his guts, he was a wimp, afraid of dragons. Her eyes flashed with anger, as she thought about that day he ran. They're all the same, all moon elves are pathetic, she thought angrily, kicking a stone into the pond.
Tock - September 5, 2007 11:48 PM (GMT)
Tock had taken the idea of his old job as a delivery boy and managed to start his own delivery buissness. He hoped that dealing with people reagularly would aid help him get freinds or at least gather people skills, but so far there was no hope in either for the cursed moogle. His buissness caught on in cascadia and soon a few nobles took intrest in him. Tock didn't entirely understand why, though one of the noble's butler told him that his mistress said it would be simpley marvelous if invitations and such were sent by such a cute messenger. He was in fact on his way to deliver one of the letters from that same butler. It was not addressed to any place in any city which surprised him. He was given directions to some place in Memphian Falls. "Who would live in such a removed place?" Tock asked himself, yet the only answer he had was the sealed scroll addressed to Savarkael Nightwind.
After seeing the beauty of the area he could understand why one would wish to build a house near the falls and when he came up to the house itself he saw how well it complemented the glorious suroundings. While the setting sun made it look all the more beautiful he wished he had not got a little lost and had gotten there earlier so he wouldn't have to worry about a return in darkness. Prehaps he should have used his cursed wings to get him there faster. He certainly couldn't reach the elaborate knocker without them. He pulled out the well kept and exquistely decorated scroll as he flew to the knocker and knocked with his free hand. "A message for Mrs. Nightwind," Tock called knowing that he more likely to meet servent for such a large house, though he had promised to hand to Mrs. Nightwind.
Nightwind - September 8, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
"A message for Mrs. Nightwind,"
Sava heard, from the spot near the pond she was at. Who could ever send her a message. For a dragon, who lives near the Memphian falls. She turned and made her way there, the dress annoying her slightly. She came around to the front, and saw the moogle. Never before, has she ever seen such a creature. It was a cute little thing, she wondered if more like him were around Imythess. Probably not, since she has never seen one. She walked over. When she got there, a maid opened the door, and was about to take it, but once the lady saw her mistress, she stopped.
She waved her hand, and the maid returned indoors.
"I am Nightwind." She said calmly, standing tall, and brushed a strand of green and black hair from her face. She cocked her head slightly "And who would send me a message?" She asked, quite thoughtful about it. She wondered if it would be something bad, or good, and what it was about. She hoped it was something nice, that will help her not always being chased by dragon-slayer, and such.
((Sorry, a bit small))
Tock - September 9, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
Tock landed back on the ground after the door opened. The one who opened the door looked more like a servent than the owner of such a luxurious house. He was about to explain that he need to hand the scroll to Mrs. Nightwind personally, but the lady herself appeared and saved him the trouble. He was not entirely surprised by her surprise, prehaps she had also built her house out here for the sake of isolation and not just the beauty of the area. Tock quickly gave a bow before answering the lady's question.
"Lady Nightwind, your message comes from Lady Emera Liopa of Cascadia. I beleive this is an invitation to one of her parties and she has paid to know of your reply," Tock replied before straightening and holding up the sealed scroll.
"If you do not know her, I would assume she knows of you by the people who built this lovely house of yours. If so she likely wishes to learn more about you," Tock remarked as he recalled some of his conversation with the butler and hoped to answer as best he could why Lady Emera Liopa might have taken interest in her. Still, beyond that he had no idea what was on the scroll for he never opended it nor had it it's contents discussed beyond the fact that he needed to return a reply back to Lady Emera Liopa. It did of course look similar to many of the fanciful invitations that he had haddled so far.
Nightwind - September 18, 2007 04:29 PM (GMT)
She watched the moogle bow, and hold the scroll up to Sava, still, she was wondering why would someone ever send her a message. It was odd, she hasn't lived here for that long, but then the thought of getting along better with the human and elven race was stronger, this would help her. She also hoped this will stop dragon slayers trying to get her head. She thought it would be nice to finally go about, without running from guards. She shook her head slightly. She couldn't go on thinking that now, she hasn't even met the person who sent it yet. Sava never liked nobles, but its time she got over that.
"Lady Emera Liopa of Cascadia... no, I do not know her..." She said quietly, as if in thought. After a moment, and looked away from the moogle. "Read it." She commanded, still looking away.
She waited for the moogle to read it like she said, or him not doing so. The usual pain in her shoulder blades started up again, she still couldn't understand why, though, she had been trying to figure it out, but she merely guesses because she needs to change into her true form soon maybe. But then it was almost the same when in her other form. She narrowed her gaze again, but then turned to look at the moogle.
Tock - September 29, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
It seemed she was a litle suspicous of the scroll and Tock could blame her for that if she had her home built out here to break away from the other Lords and Ladies. Tock wasn't pleased with the way she had her tone, yet it was his job and he certainly wasn't one deserving of respect paticularly not here in front of this noblewoman. Prehaps this buissness was not the best way to meet new people. Tock obeyed and broke the seal on the scroll. Inside the scroll was rolled up map of Cascadia, no doubt pointing out some location mentioned. Tock put it behind the scroll and began to read it.
| QUOTE |
Greeting and Good tidings Savarkael Nightwind, I am Lady Emera Liopa. While I doubt you know of me I wish to amend that as well as get to know you. As such, I have invited you to one of my elaborate balls. There shall be good food and entertainment. The ball shall be held at the end of the month in my lovely palace in Cascadia and I would most appreciate it if you would come. I have included a map to my quaint little palace with this scroll. Should you have need of an escort, please send a note for such along with the acceptance of my invitation.
Sincerely, ~Lady Emera Liopa~
P.S. Should you be wondering how I knew of you, I learned of you from the same people who built your own palace, which I am told looks marvelously lovely. |
After reading all of the scroll Tock held it up for Sava to take as well as the map."Will you be accepting her invitation?" Tock asked, though it was entirely not his buisness aside from returning the answer to Lady Emera Liopa.
Nightwind - October 22, 2007 04:30 PM (GMT)
Sava listened as the moogle did as he was told, and read the letter from Lady Emera Liopa. She didn't like the idea of going to a ball, but it would be good for her, hopefully, but she was always worried it would be trap, or something to get herself killed by a dragon-slayer. She just told herself she was being paranoid. If she wanted to get better in public, and maybe even become more of a noble, since she wasn't truly a noble, even if she looked it. But she would have to go, to get along with humans.
When the moogle was done reading the letter, he asked if she would accept the invitation. She thought a moment, then gave a slow nod. "I suppose I will..." She mumbled, looking away, still trying to get over her annoying fears of trouble, it was fine, it was just herself worrying over stupid little things. She took the letter and map from the moogle, and looked at the map a moment. She sighed.
"Yes, I will go. But, before you leave, I would think you'd want to rest, it is a long way from civilization. If you want, you can come inside, and rest awhile?" She said, wondering a moment if he would accept. And it was a long ways from a town. To her, it must be a little tiring.
Tock - October 23, 2007 02:04 PM (GMT)
Tock could see that there was something dark brooding in Nightwind's mind, but whatever it was she apparently pushed it aside as she accepted the invitation and gave Tock an invitation to stay at her house. Amusingly enough that was just what Tock was about to ask about next. The nearest city or even village was indeed quitesome ways away and in the impending darkness he was likely to get lost again and bump into to some unkindly creatures of the night. "Thank you, It took me a good deal longer to find your place than I had hoped and night is nearly upon the land. So, I shall graciouslly accept your kind hospitality," Tock said as he issued another bow.
Tock didn't rightly care where inside she would say he coould rest. If it was on the floor in the palace that was more than Tock deserved. "I shall have to find a way to repay the favor someday." Obviously he couldn't repay her now. He was an unskilled klutz, not much real use to anybody. He didn't even hold much skill in magic or blades, and he certainly have any amount of gold that could possibly compare the dragon's hoard-sized treasury that Sava seemed to have by the look and size of the grand palace. While he enjoyed the sound of music, he never learned how to play anything. The only thing he was good at was bringing unlucky things nobody wanted. Luckily his new job seemed to be making him fail at even that.

"Thank you, It took me a good deal longer to find your place than I had hoped and night is nearly upon the land. So, I shall graciouslly accept your kind hospitality,"
Sava smiled slightly, and just nodded. She turned swiftly around, and went to the door, and opened it. Right away, Felix, the umbra ran out, and stared at the moogle with interest. "Odd creature..." Felix said in his telepathic way of talking to Sava. She merely smirked. "Be nice to our guest, Felix." She said, then walked through the door, and held it open for the moogle. Felix came running inside again, and into his small room place.
"I shall have to find a way to repay the favor someday."
She shook her head. There is no need, but if you feel you must, then you can if you want." She simply said. Whenever he walks in, she closes the door, and walk into the main room. Her feet making little noise against the marble floors. In here was a maid, dusting some things, but Sava waved the maid away, and told her to get some food for the guest, and some for the mistress.
She turned to the moogle. "I don't believe I ever got your name." She said, quite politely.
((Ugh... so small...))
Tock - October 25, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Tock was quite nearly frightened by the creature that came out of the house. He only managed to keep his composure from the fact that it was only a small kit. It still reminded him of the dangerous creatures which had been the first to greet Tock on the Imythess and if things had went their way they would have been the last to greet Tock on Imythess as well. Tock apparently only had enough luck to keep him from getting killed by all of his bad luck. Still, after getting over the fact that it was an umbra and a naturally feral creature of the night, it did look fairly cute.
The moogle walked inside the palace and soon found that the inside certainly was not a let down after seeing the magnificent outside. Fine carpet, marble floor, and exquisite tapestries decorated the room among a bunch of fancy furniture and other decorations. What really caught Tock's eye were the tapestries that decorated the walls. They were all of dragons and each on presented a different color dragon. Most would focus on the more elagent dragons and not likely include the feral looking chromatic dragons, though the tapestries managed to make even them seem elegant, graceful and beautiful. Tock's thoughts however were momentarily disrupted by her question. He had been so busy trying to get his job done well that he had forgoten to even introduce himself.
"My sincerest apologies Lady Nightwind, I should have introduced myself when you came to the door. I am Tock," Tock said as he issued a low bow. After coming back up he directed his attention back to the dragons. He couldn't help but cooment on the wonderful works of art.
"I see you have quite the intrest in dragons," Tock stated as he pointed to the tapestries. "And I must say they are certainly represented well in these tapestries."
Nightwind - October 25, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
She waited for the moogle to speak, and noticed that he had been looking at the dragon tapestries. A small smile spread across her face. Sometimes, she liked keeping her dragon secret away from people. The only reason she mainly had the dragon tapestries, was because of herself being a dragon, though, she did have a love for all of them. Dragons were wonderful creatures, and being one, was wonderful.
"My sincerest apologies Lady Nightwind, I should have introduced myself when you came to the door. I am Tock,"
She looked at Tock. "Well then, Tock, welcome to my home." She merely said. When he spoke of the tapestries, she smiled again. She walked to a tapestry of a green dragon. Her hand ran along it a moment, then she turned to the moogle again. "Yes, I find dragons magnificent creatures." She said.
She stared at the tapestries a moment, almost losing herself in thought again. She hated when she does that. She shook her head, and headed towards the stairs, leading upwards. She gestured for Tock to follow. "One of the servants left today to go visit family, so you can use that room for the night. Also, Anne, the head servant, will be bringing you some dinner." She said, politely. Slowly, she made her way up the stairs that spiraled, and into another hall, with the three doors on the left side, the first and second door had dragon carvings, and they were locked tightly. One was Sava's hoard, and one was her armory. The third door was plain looking, that lead to servant rooms.
Tock - October 30, 2007 04:55 PM (GMT)
Tock wondered if she had real dragons somewhere hidden within her palace. Many nobles fond of 'magnificent' creatures found the need to possess them an often in more forms than art. He didn't know Sava very well, but she didn't seem like that kind of person, though she did seem to become quite absorbed within the tapestry for a moment. Besides if there was a dragon hidden here somewhere chances are he wouldn't be finding out about it. If it wasn't a secret she might have mentioned that she had one, and if it was a secret she would have certainly determined that her still would be safe by letting Tock into her house for a small span of time.
Tock pushed the thought from his mind as he followed Sava up the stairs. Tock was rather surprised when Sava also said that she would have dinner brought to him. Aside from not expecting that generosity as well, he recalled that he had forgotten to pack his own dinner. But then again he had expected to back in Cascadia in time to have dinner there. "Thank you again for your generosity, I hadn't quite rembered that I had failed to pack a dinner for myself," Tock replied as they headed into the hallway.
Tock took note of three doors, two were rather ornate with even more dragon motifs and the third was rather simple. The contents of the first two obivously were more important to Sava than the last. Tock thought of asking what was behind the first two, but didn't as that would be a bit rude and prying. If Sava would explain what she saw fit as she guided him through the house to the room.
Nightwind - November 27, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
Savarkael glanced down at the moogle, and smiled slightly, when he mention he failed to pack his own dinner, then she shrugged slightly. She glanced at the other two doors, before she went to the plainer looking one. She went through it, leaving it open for the moogle, and into the small hall, with three other doors. She went to the farthest one, opened it, and gestured for the moogle to go in.
"There is no need to thank me. You are helping enough for bringing the scroll, even if you do not know it." She said, and he truly was, this was a chance for her, to show others that she is not a killer, not an insane dragon. She wants to get along with all the races in Imythess, and this was her chance. She looked into the room. It was small, with a bed, and a table. A chest stood at the end of the bed, and was locked, of course. Since it was one of her servants rooms, they liked to lock their things, so they were safe.
She wondered a moment when her third servant would be back, but it didn't matter very much. She shrugged slightly, then smiled to the moogle again, and thought he was a very strange creature, after all, she has never seen one before, only heard rumors of them before.
"I hope you enjoy your short stay here, within my home. And please, do not venture to the third floor, that place is for no guest to wander." She said calmly, still smiling politely.
