It was nearly dark out, and the batter at Cascadia could be heard and seen from the top of the waterfall, even though the crashing water was nearly deafening. A figure stood at the base of the waterfall, it's dark robes hiding what ever was within the folds. A hood conveniently hid it's face. It looked up, it's golden eyes bright within the darkness of the hood. It's gaze was directed at the Monument, it's eyes showing something close to glee in them. The dark being began to levitate upwards, towards the top of the waterfall, the few splashes that escaped the main part evaporating before hitting this being.
It finally made it to the top and walked forward, still levitating over the water. It placed it's feet on solid rock and stopped levitating, it's wicked stare still at the statue. It walked over to it, inspecting the monument that people say was placed up there in honor of the god. But this being knew what it truly was, and suspected that the demon was sick of being trapped in stone, and in a form that was not it's own.
"My dear child, why do they think that anything evil must be destroyed or stopped? Why do they think that only good can reign supreme? Ah, yes, it is because they are young, and know no better." The voice that came from the hood was male, and seemed to hold some sort of power within it, a power that sounded like it could crumble cities if it so wished. The dark being spread his arms wide open, almost like inviting someone to give him a hug. "The people in this land are young, while outside of here they are progressing too fast for them. Give them a lesson in what happens when you try and seal up a demon." His last sentence strong and magic flowed in his words, while the final word he spoke made a crack in the statue, which was soon followed by more cracks branching off from it, until the whole statue was covered in them.
"I set you free." These words were spoken in a low voice, but that was all that was needed. The whole statue burst apart, rock flying everywhere, but none of it hit the dark one watching. Flames erupted where the statue had been, and now stood a Pit Fiend engulfed in hellish fire, his eyes almost as wicked as the mans who stood before the demon. The Pit Fiend attack the person standing there, his anger burning all around him. The dark man sighed and held up one of his hands and the demon stopped, unable to move.
"Who are you human?!" The demon said using common tongue to communicate.
"I am your savior, Fiend, and I suggest you not call me human again." He replied, his gold eyes flashed with a warning, and just to prove he was more powerful he pushed the twelve foot tall demon backwards and on to his back, causing him to growl and curse in anger. "Now stand. I know that you heard me when I talked to you before releasing you. Do as I command, and maybe I'll let you live."
"What do you wish to have done, my lord?" The demon said, standing back up and towering over the dark man.
You see those lights? You hear that noise?" He said, pointing towards Cascadia. "Those are the descendants of those who trapped you in your stone shape. It is the celebration of the year and they are all gathered. Show them consequences of trapping a demon." He did not even have to finish the sentence, for the demon took off, heading towards the Waterfall City.
The dark being smiled to himself, amused at how easily things were pursued in the mortal realm. He watched the demon for a few more seconds, then he blink his gold eyes and he was gone.
