Flying low, though, above the trees, Sava flew, the rustling of the trees behind her filled her with calm, and reminded her of the past, and her fun times she had here. Once more, she flew towards the lake, where she and Shain and been friends. She remembered that time, it was like branded into her head when she comes here. She felt at home here, where she had fun times, and she would always remember, it was even fun when the bandits came, she couldn'tive have more fun then that time. When she neared the lake, she looked at its calm surface and smirked, the same dragon smirk she always had, and then she dived. Down fast towards the lake, soon, she hit the water, going deep down, until she touched the bottom, and she pushed herself upwards, until her dragon head broke the surface, and she climbed out of the lake, her eyes shining cheerfully.

When on dry land again, she turned around to look over the water once more, the water was still rippling from her diving into it. She saw fish stir, large and small. She smiled as she watched them.

She truly now thought, that this was her home, her true home, no where else, even if it felt that way. She was born in a forest long ago, and now she loves this one, this is her new home, no one could take it from her, if someone even dare tried to harm it, they'd have to deal with her. Silently, she breathed, watching the fish, wondering whether or not to eat a fish, but she shook her head. No, she'll do so later, or try hunting for bigger prey, maybe go snatch a cow or two. She liked that thought, but she stayed still. This was home. Imythess was home. No one could take it away.

Lysan - July 9, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
He felt peace. It was an unknown feeling - one Lysan hadn't had time to feel in the chaos of city life. He was out taking a somewhat, in his opinion, a well-earned break - the last two years had brought him so close to death that he didn't really want to think about it. In seven years, ever since he'd braved the desert his life had been hectic, yet the forest was soothing. It had an aura that demanded - in an extremely peaceful way - relaxation.

It wasn't as though Lysan had never been in a forest before. Au contraire, he'd been chased through them many times - he'd even formed several paths in the occasional wood, yet this place was different. It was like having a massage, a rare experience in Lysan's case. He sat, propped against a well-placed tree, listening lightly to the sound of the forest. Birds chorused as they fluttered around, finding food for their chicks, small mammals rushed through the undergrowth, their tiny feet making small patting noises on the muddy ground. He searched through his mind to find a word to fit the description, and came up with a nice sounding one – tranquility.

After several minutes, his mind wandered back to the time before the city – to the village, the happy times, and his brother. Lysan didn’t like thinking about them – he supposed he should be angry at the way he was thrown out and left to die. But he couldn’t cut them out of his life completely. They were always there, hidden at the back of his mind, popping up when he was having fun. He stifled back a sob, and put his head in his hands, leaning with his elbows against the floor. He shouted suddenly, in a harsh voice. “Go away!”

As she stayed there, she continued to think about this place, and whether or not to go hunting, then, something shattered her thoughts. She looked up. It was a voice, and harsh it sounded. She turned around. It was near. It sounded troubled to her, as if something was wrong, it also sounded like a human. Slowly, she stood, and walked into the forest, towards the noise, though, quite slowly. When she saw the boy, she stopped, staring at him, and wondering what was wrong. She felt she could help, but she didn't have any idea what was wrong, but she still felt the need to. She had experience many things, and she still is, and still is fighting herself, with temptations, and her nightmares. She stared at him a moment longer before speaking.

"You seem troubled." She said, her dragon voice rumbled, it was almost growl like, but she didn't mean to sound very threatening, she hated when people freak out, and try to run, she would sometimes grab them with her jaws, and throw them back on the ground, but she rarely does that, when she does she laughs her head off. Silentl, she stood there, watching him. The fly dragon Blackquill, was sleeping soundly wrapped around Sava's head horn, the fly dragon didn't even wake when Sava talked.

Her claws dug into the earth, though not far, her claws hit a root, she pulled her claws from the ground, bringing up some dirt by accident.

Lysan - July 10, 2007 03:24 PM (GMT)
"Huh? What the-?" In a snap, Lysan flew up, grabbing the hilt of his sword and backing steadily away. A dragon? Heck, i'm outta' here! The thoughts he had had before the newcomer had appeared disappeared completely, and all that he felt now was fear and the will to get away, preferably in one piece. He would remember, after the encounter, that it was the only time he had ever met a dragon. At the time, he would have been pleased, but then a deep growl rang out. It wasn't as threatening as it could be, Lysan realised, then thought; If it wanted me dead I'd be a ball of ash now, or in several pieces lying around the ground. The words took shape, and Lysan slowly released his grip on his longsword. "Well, by troubled... You're not going to eat me are you?"

The words sounded silly, even as they left his mouth Lysan wished he hadn't said them. If he was lucky, the - looking closer - female dragon (how he knew this he didn't know) would just think him a useless idiot, and possibly pass him off as something too weedy to eat. In the worst case scenario, she might, at his suggestion, rip him limb from limb. This was something he decided he wanted to avoid, and so quickly tried to rectify his mistake. "Uh, ignore that."

Then, something that in Lysan's eyes was scary happened. The dragon seemed to uproot alot of dirt from underneath her claws. It was as if the cat (after lying in wait for a while) was about to pounce, or at least that was how Lysan saw it. Without waiting for a reply or any sort of movement, he turned his tail and began to run. "ohmygodohmygodohmygod!" was the noise erupting from his mouth.

At first the boy took it better then she thought he would, but she could tell he was still afraid of her, even when she didn't use her magic, like she has before. She watched him, and cocked her head to the side, and let out a laugh, but that seemed a bit threatening, even if she didn't mean for it to be, but, obviously, he thought everything she did was threatening, it was quite amusing. When he spoke, she smirked. Eat him?! Of course not, she hated to even try eating a human, and she thought about saying so, but he spoke again, saying to forget that.

When she turned up the roots and stuff, he turned and ran. Sava stared after him a moment, a bit confused, and cocked her head more. He was fast, if she wanted to catch him, then she would do better flying above him, but she made no move to do so. After a moment, she grinned.

Saying a word of magic, she made the winds go against the boy, and towards her, seeing what this will do, he had a chance to get away still, but maybe the wind will be too strong he couldn't go far, but whichever he did do, she didn't really care, she was having fun as it is, she never had fun all the time, she like seeing what he would do, how he'd react, many people she has met stayed, they didn't have a fear like this boy did, it was amusing.

Okay, I don’t think she’s going to eat me. This causes for diplomacy. Uh, I mean, bluffing skills. He started to walk back towards the dragon, and suddenly started going quicker, as the winds blew him. Right, she already knows I’m scared… what can I do? Ah! I know. Bluffing wasn’t required, he realised. There was that sword he had won in a competition in Taras. It was quite a dangerous thing to be giving away, but the guards had agreed to turn a blind eye for a considerable sum and things were allowed to continue. Though, why they had given all the stuff away and for free especially, was something Lysan would never work out. He gathered it was part of the anniversary of the ending of the Time of Troubles, and knew that it must, in some way, be quite special. He knew nothing about this period – he was too far away from society in his early years to know and if it had been in the last two years he had been too busy. It wasn’t his problem, he kept telling himself, and he certainly hadn’t been affected by it in the least.

He found himself in front of the she-dragon. He put on his bravest face (somewhat lacking, his enemies had told him) and unsheathed the dragon slaying sword from its place on his back. He hadn’t had to use it yet – and he hoped he never would. Going up against a dragon was not one of his goals, as his expectations included being roasted to death in a matter of seconds. So far, he had only used his good ol’ fashioned longsword, the one that had not endured many years of service and was in fact quite unfashionable. He had read in a newspaper that spears were all the rage at the moment, and he decided to try and grab one someday. But that wasn’t really a concern at the moment – no, it was the dragon, he was sure of it, yet the spear that the paper was advertising was really quite good. He spoke some words in what he hoped was a growl, yet really, to a listening passer-by sounded more like a frightened squeal. “Don’t come any closer, I have a very dangerous sword that could greatly damage you – I don’t want to use it, yet I will if I have to. Don't hurt me and I won't hurt you.” Of course, his mind was very different. It had a plan, which went ‘stab the monster then run away.’ He decided against this though. Of course, there was a voice in the corner of his mind that said 'try and make friends. A dragon could be a powerful ally.'

Sava watched the boy, as he came forward, and when he was basically in front of her, she smiled, and stopped the winds, and stared down at him, taking everything in, and noting the dragon slayers sword. She had seen them before, she has been attack by a dragon slayer, a long time ago though, she she was quite young, and its been a long time since shes see one like it, and she knew it had a certain power. She cocked her head slightly to the left, and her dark eyes showed amusement. When he talked, she gave an evilish smile, and then bursted out laughing, a strange sound coming from her dragon self.

After a few moments, she had regained herself, though, still smiling, and her sharp teeth showed.

"Aww, the little human thinks I'll eat him!" She said, laughing once more. "Now, stop threatening me, that will improve you more, or do you think threatening a dragon is a good idea?" She asked him, her voice full of amusement as much as in her eyes. "And I don't want to harm you either, boy, but I must say, it is terribly amusing to see you so frightened of me, but, who could blame you? I'm a heartless, terrible dragon." She said, sarcastically, and she brought her head level with him.

Right then, Blackquill woke up, stretched, then took to the air, and flew around the humans head, making weird chirping like noises and talking to Sava nonstop, who continued to look at Lysan, ignoring the fly dragon completely. "I'd like to see you try harming me, boy." She said, with a smirk.

Lysan - July 13, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
"Hmm, it seems that you won't eat me. Well, this calls for something different - friends? I would hate to see this thing sticking through you." He pointed to the sword, pointedly ignoring the remark about him being frightened. "I may not look it, you know, but I am actually quite strong," he was almost sure she wouldn't believe him, and of course, he was bluffing - though, he had strength when he needed it. Mostly. Really, the effects of his strength were random - he blamed it on the weather. On some days, he managed to lift his sword up without wincing, and on others it seemed to be stuck to the floor. Naturally, this only happened on rainy days, or in times where he was in real danger, like now. His hand suddenly hurt, and he realised that he could either sheathe the sword or drop it, with the latter making him look like an idiot.

Weather was something that didn't bother Lysan. Why would it? Lysan had done nothing to weather, and so weather, in turn, seemed to leave him alone - yeah, he got rained on along with everyone else, but it wasn't raining on him especially, whereas with some people you could see the clouds gathering. They were locked in a gridlock - the weather was scared that Lysan would shout at it if it annoyed him too much and Lysan got scared when it started thundering heavily. And he got disgruntled when those elementals appeared - they were always bad news, as being burned/drowned/buried/blown away/frozen/thundered on alive was really quite mean. So far, Lysan had had only one run in with an elemental, and had just escaped with his life.

He really didn't know why he was thinking of weather at the moment - it was one of those heat of the moment things, when you tried desperatly not too think of the thing you're looking at. But, instead of running away, Lysan walked towards the dragon, who was obviously being sarcastic toward him. He decided he wasn't going to take that by someone he hardly knew, so he'd have to make friends. He was hoping she was thinking the same thing.
