Title: Yet another meeting

Gregory Faust - July 5, 2007 11:26 PM (GMT)
Gregory grimaced as he folded his wings at the base of a water-fall. It had turned into a full-blown thunder-storm outdoors, leaving him incapable of flight. It aggravated him that he was forced to land so early in his flight. He was headed to Cascadia to take up in the fun of the celebration. His father had told him of it. He told him of the separation war and how it affected his people. He told of how far back in Gregory's bloodline there was sun-elf blood, and how the separation wars tore the family apart so that each cursed the other and refused to speak of their connections. Fortunately, the Faust family was smart enough to keep such histories.

As he settled into a corner of the labyrinth near the entrance. Not wishing to get lost in these caverns he settled himself down to stay. Concentrating his holy aura, he flared it bright enough to make it day in the caverns, and he took to his book. He was nose-deep in "Lleyin Mendrisst's Drow Tri-magi-calculation" before he picked up on the evil being nearby and prepared his spear.

Xion Flayle - July 5, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Xion had come here days before. He had hunted around the area for a while, determining if this would be a decent place to camp out for a while and see to his healing. In his last fight, against Gregory, memory of his magic had been viciously punched from his skull, along with memory of most other things. For instance, he could not remember his father or even his homeland, all he knew now was his past that his sword told him of and the presence. It was of no major inconvenience though, as he still assumed a steady life.

He crawled to the back of his cave to retrieve some stinking meat that he had caught days before and left in a stagnat puddle in the caves. The puddle originally had smelled of algea and salt, but now it smelled of beautiful, putrid death. He inhaled the air with a measure of joy as he plucked out a grouse that had been left there. It's softest mattert had for the most part been eaten away, but the remaining meat still remained good and old. Maggots and other life had found their way into the corpse of the animal, and Xion loved it when that happened.

Taking a whiff of his meal, he easily tore a part of it's breast off and consumed the rotting flesh. Few feathers remained on the carcass, but he savoured each and every one. After his quick meal he decided to go get some fresh water from the waterfall rather than make his food stoarage smaller, so sheathing his sword, he made his way down the path, his eyes seeing easily in the dark. He as walking obliviously towards the exit when he stepped into a cavern filled with light. His high-pitched hiss alerted the wary traveller, and Xion's eyes turned into slits of hatred.

"Yoouuu..!"

Gregory Faust - July 6, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
Gregory's attention was torn from his book. His pleasant concentration had been disturbed by the slithering voice of something that sounded painfully angry with his presense. His eyes followed to the only dark corner of the cavern, and they stopped on a shadowy shape. Gregory smiled confidently and stood, dog-earing the page he was on and brushing the dust from his robes. This one was foolish enough to challenge him again, and it would not escape such a mistake scott free. Slowly, the celestial approached the demonic man, not even bothering to bring his own weapon. His cold, dark eyes settled on the demon and he extended his obsidian hand.

"You most certainly are a foolish one, demon." He began to concentrate his magic into his obsidian hand, ignoring the tingling sensation that he got when he did such a thing. "You will pay for disturbing me yet again. Perhaps you should have stuck to the shadows" He hand began to glow lightly in a brilliant white essence resembling water. For bothering him in his time of rest, this demon would face his judgement. Gregory had yet to truly use this spell on an enemy, and he had a very good feeling about it seinding his message across.

"Kessien'dare Lithinium. God's Judgement!" He roared, his smile growing wider and toothier as he lauched his hand foreward. A light burned before his hand, taking the shape of a hammer sprouted wings, and with yet another forceful shove the image appeared before ther demon.

Xion fought to stop himself from charging. The angel was vulnerable, but his sword was ordering him to stay. He could catch the angel off-guard and he knew it! Unfortunately, his sword wanted him to learn something of this meeting, and it would not be learned if he were to blindly attack the angelic man. He watched as the elf drew closer to him, and he squinted as the angel summoned a magical glyph before his hand. His ears flickered at the first words of the angel. Elven for sure, but of what elven he was unsure. The next words came in a very clear shout and were easily recognized as the common tongue.

The glyph wasx intricate, but Xion only had a moment to gaze at it from a distance before it flashed infront of him and his world shook. His head felt as though it were being crushed over and over again by the hands of a giant, and his chest felt like one thousand burning hammers were pounding at it and melting his ribs to lava that burned his lungs. The pain was amazing, and the only thing he could think of was how much he wanted to die and for the pain to end. He felt as though he was being held in pain in eternity, and he knew deep inside that this would not end without him giving up something in return.

Gregory Faust - July 8, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
"tell me demon! What compels you to hunt me down! What id it that drives you mad about me. What is telling you that I must die!" He aimed a kick for the mans stomach and swung his leg out verociously. He knew the man was in no condition to dodge, and once he was satisfied he continued towards the tiefling. With the kick he decided to cancel his judgement spell, deciding that perhaps he had cowed the man enough. Upon coming a foot from the man he waited through the unavoidably long recovery rate.

Gregory had never been under the spell and never would be, but he had heard horror stories and he saw in this man's reaction that the pain muts be excrutiating for those with an evil heart. "I would not suggest trying to avenge yourself. Quite frankly, you don't have much of a choice if you value your petty life." Gregory spat near the demon and focussed his cold hard eyes on the man. He would wait for the demon to understand the situation.

The angels words cut through the screaming of Xion's mind like a hot knife through butter. He wanted to know why Xion was always going about attacking him. He wanted to know who was telling Xion to attack him, and Xion was more than pleased to release such information, but his sword was hesitant, and it's voice rored back into his brain as the angel's were silenced. My pet, you wish to decieve me?! You are weak without me! You will not abandon me, I will not have it!

"What compells me to attack you?" He glanced down to his sword, which was cursing his name repeatedly, "That you shall never know." He spat the wordsa out moments before coughing up and dry-heaving small amounts of blood. He struggled to stood, and as he raised himself up he began to feel his energy returning. But by that time the intelligent Xion made an appearance, and he intended to suprise this opponent. Making a show of exhaustion, he fought for air and stood slouched over, as if barely able to stand. Every now and again a ragged breath of air brought a coarse cough for effect. the angel would not be able to resist.

Gregory grimaced at the man's stoic words. Apparently, he had not put enough power into his judgement spell to fully teach this demon, and he doubted anyone ever could. He saw the beast glance down at it's blade, contemplating something. He grinned as the demon maintained his weakened appearance, and taking a step forward he was quick to assume his own safety.

"Demon, demon, demon. Oh I will relish killing you," He extended his obsidian hand to place it under the demon's chin and raise it to eye-level, "A pity you were not more of a challenge. Are there any last sour words you wish to relay to me before I kill you?" His lips curled into a smile as he prepared himself for another spell. Magic missile while his hand was placed under the man's chin would be a quick victory.
