Title: The Party of Taras
Veronna Darkblade - July 5, 2007 07:00 PM (GMT)
The smell of fresh candy was sweet, filling the air around the bakeries, along with fresh bread and other foods. Any person would find it hard to resist the temptation of the food and sweets. All the shops were open along this stretch of road, mostly food shops and bakeries, which all gave free samples of their foods. Further on down the road were stands set out by merchants, selling their non-food goods. The streets were packed with people, leaving hardly any room to move.
The city square, on the other hand, had a bit more room, though people were dancing to the music which was being played here by a band of musicians with several different instruments, which made it hard to navigate through also. But music seemed to attract her, so she found a corner out if the way and stood there listening and watching those who danced.
Ocar said he was going to try and come out when Vaoulrah went to bed, which would not be for a little while still. It was almost evening, and lanterns were starting to be hung around the city. She continued to listen and to tap her feet to the music, enjoying every beat of it.
She thought about joining in on the dancing, but she did not have anyone to dance with, not yet anyways. And she did not like to cut in on someone else's dance.
What she wore this day was the most dressed up she had ever been, even on her wedding day she did not where something such as this. She wore a long red dress, and not dark red like what she normally wore. The dresses skirts were ruffely and some pink skirts were mixed in with the red ones. Her hair was down, with colorful streaks through it, including red, blue, purple and yellow. She wore no jewlery or weapondry, feeling safe in her city.
The evening came and she continued to wait, hoping someone would come that she new, or not new. She liked meeting new people, and during this long celebration of the peace of Imythess was the best time to meet someone new.

Savarkael has been in Taras for half a week now, and she was enjoying herself, the guards were busy with other things to be bother with a dragon herself, so she was able to hang out, and relax, though, Blackquill was always trying to make Sava leave, the fly dragon didn't like being around so many people and strangers. Today, though, Sava managed to lock the fly dragon in their room at the tavern, she had a little trouble doing so, with the dragon fly being so small, and fast, and she hurts to, but eventually, Sava managed, and now here she is, at the party. And it was odd, Savarkael dressed up. Her now short hair that was to her ears was decorated with flowers, that were multiple colors.
She wore a dark green skirt with dragon patterns on it, and her shirt was a black tank top sort of, and then she had a long black flowy cape over her shoulders. Sava never felt safe with a weapon but tonight she had none, well, she did have one, it was strapped around her leg, the calf, though hidden from all eyes, the skirt flowing over it. On her feet, she just wore sandals. Today was the basically the first day she has ever dressed up.
She walked slowly into the crowds, avoiding the dancing, she didn't know how to dance, and never has. She looked about, a little nervous, she bet she didn't know anyone here, and that would make her feel a little bit more nervous, but she tried not to show it. As she walked she listened to the music, she may have wanted to dance, and know how to, but she would merely make a fool of herself, so she stayed away from it, and decided to listen to music.
Lysan - July 11, 2007 04:37 PM (GMT)
Lysan was deeply enjoying the dance. His partner was very good (and very attractive), a much higher class than he was, yet both were too drunk to care. The musicians had started playing a cheery, lively tune had a brilliant rhythm - a song that Lysan had never heard before. The two changed their dance to something more appropriate and began again. There weren't too many people in the square - several Taras City citizens, like him a few travellers. There was a bard over by the stand, fuming, apparantly wanting to start his show but wasn't allowed. There were the normal cast of shady types, which probably needed an eye on - the Taras Guard were nowhere to be seen, funnily enough.
Lysan hadn't danced properly before, and wasn't about to start now. He slipped up several steps in a row, and at one point even fell over, where his partner just laughed and carried on, after helping him to his feet. He was feeling slightly ill - he supposed he must have had one too many pints, but that wasn't a problem. And going home was out of the question - he thought he'd come to that matter as was needed.
Several minutes later, when his partner had twirled off to meet someone else, Lysan noticed a person out of the corner of his eye that he knew. She wasn't a local, so he must have met her somewhere else. His intoxicated mind made a surprisingly short list of the people whom it could be, until he reached a conclusion. "Avas!" he called out across the square, then realised he'd got the name wrong. "Uh... No, that's not it. Hmmm. Ah, I remember, Sava!" the words came out in a splutter, yet it was coherent enough for somebody listening to hear. He stumbled towards her, grasping another pint off a nearby table and dropping it accidently. "Come and dance!"
Kowe - July 12, 2007 06:25 PM (GMT)
Kowe wandered amidst all the finery in the square, looking longingly at some of the wares displayed. She was dressed in her finest purple fur, and had even wore a silver hoop earring in honor of the occasion.
She giggled as she watched the drunken man dance and sighed as she saw him call a pretty dragon over to dance with him. How she wished that she had someone special there to dance with her!
She spied a bench over in a corner of the square and sauntered off to go sit there, as she could watch the revelry quite well from that vantage point.

Sava was enjoying herself, watching everyone danced and enjoy themselves, but still she was nervous, she often looked behind her, hoping no one recognized her from other times she came here. But, no one seemed to notice, or care, but then, she heard a familiar voice, and she looked around, till she saw him. Lysan, she remembered when she first met him, in was in Norwood Forest, he was terrified of her, she found that greatly amusing. As she started making her way towards him, she noticed that he was terribly drunk, not the first time seeing a friend get drunk, she remembered at the tavern, Shain actually wanted to get himself drunk, so he'd forget his worries, to her, he seemed pathetic then, but knew he wasn't, she only thought that because he was no longer a half-breed then, but a full-breed moon elf. She disgusted moon elves.
Also, as she walked over, she was fully nervous. Dance? She didn't know how to dance, she hoped it was easy, not once in her life has she ever danced. She was a dragon. Do dragons dance? She didn't believe so, she doesn't think many could change into a human, but if they could, do they dance? Sava has never even tried, but still she came over to Lysan, smiling.
But she noticed someone out the corner of her eye, wearing purple fur of some sort, she looked over. She seemed slightly disappointed, but Savarkael didn't pay attention to her, and turned her attention onto Lysan.
"I believe, Lysan, that you, are enjoying this party a little too much." She said, smirking.
Kowe - July 13, 2007 04:13 AM (GMT)
Kowe grew tired of her inaction and abruptly stood up, dusting herself off. As she watched, the revelries gradually lost her interest, and she ventured off in search of some food, as she hadn't eaten in days.
Spying a vendor, she eagerly handed over the gold and took the steaming meat pie, blowing on it to cool it. As soon as it was cool enough, she took a nice bite out of it and moaned with the feel of it sliding down to her tummy.
As the wind took on a bit of bite, due to the lateness of the hour, Kowe drew her fur closer to her, and slipping into a dark corner, changed forms to her panther form so as to be a trifle warmer. Padding quietly to a deserted corner of the gardens she found in the middle of the city, she curled up into a tiny ball and fell asleep, waiting for the festivities to start again the next day.
