Title: A New Beginning
Description: [Open to everyone]

Aikanaro - June 6, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
Aikanaro's face hit the ground hard, dust from the barren land outside his father's homestead filling his breaths and turning them into a coughing fit. His older, and much stronger brother patted his hands together as if cleaning the dirt off of them. "I can't believe you'd go and do something like that! Dad bloody raised you, fed you, and housed you and you turn around and torch his crops...! You disapoint me. Get out of here before I chase you even further down the plains and into a griffin's nest." Aikanaro's brother stomped off.

1 hour earlier...

Aikanaro ran inside the house and scrambled up the stairs in a fit. Reaching his room, he slammed the door shut and dashed to his window to gaze upon his creation. The square acre of wheat that made up his back yard was completely ablaze. Father hadn't enough time to harvest the entire thing this season and much of it was turning brown. Aike just didn't know how it happened. One minute he was looking at it, and the next, he was running from it. Remembering how his father was going to absolutely murder Aikanaro, he flung open the doors to his dresser and managed to equip himself with his personal dagger and spellbook before his brother tore his bedroom door off the hinges with a loud bang. Aike was seized by an arm before he could capture any extra clothing...

This is just wonderful... Aike sat alone in the middle of a whole lot of nothing. Whips of tall, green grasses dotted the land around him with an occational twisted tree begging for water. He brushed off some of the dirt on his face and stood up, ignoring the dust clinging to the rest of him. He ran both his hands through his hair, lost and upset with no direction.

Sava glided in the air, going through clouds and out, she didn't like the misty feelings of the cloud, but her friend, and companion Blackquill loved it, and begged Sava to go through them, finally, Sava shook her head violently, shaking the small dragon fly off her head, sending it toward the ground, but Quill quickly regained herself, and returned to her larger black and green dragon. The mix dragon looked at the plain before her, her dark eyes sweeping over everything, though, one thing caught her eye. It was a boy, or a someone. It was alive. Alone. Alone in a plain with griffins.

He's gonna get eaten by griffins, at least sometime today... Sava! Can we wait and watch if he does? Asked the small fly dragon, and Savarkael, snorted. "Of course we can't!" She snapped at the Blackquill, and the smaller dragon started protesting, saying she wanted to watch. "If you want to watch, just stay here and leave me in peace." She snapped again, anger raising in her dragon eyes. Sava! You know I won't do that! Quill said, frightened, and tightened herself around one of the larger dragons horns that were on her head.

"If not, then stay quiet before I have you for a snack." She snapped once more, then lowered towards the ground, circling lower, and lower. Soon, a long ways off from the boy, she landed, making a sort of thud with the weight of her dragon body. She folded her wings against her back, then dug her claws in the ground a moment, then turned her gaze towards the boy, and narrowed her eyes. Looks like he has nowhere to go... hmph... not like I can give him somewhere to go, I don't even know where I should go... I could visit Shain, wherever he is... I should go find him, and help him catch his missing drow half... I hate myself for making my friend angry... if I didn't, Shorin wouldn't be running around... damnit, She thought to herself, and made a strange growl in her throat that also seemed like a hiss.

After a bit, her body started changing, and the fly dragon flew from her head, making a quiet buzzing noise, and watched as her master started changing. Slowly, but surely, Sava's body started to change into that of a human. When the transformation was complete, she was a human young woman, with long black and green hair, the green a bit brighter, and her eyes stayed the same, also black and green specked. She was tall, and thinner then she wanted to, and she wore simple travel clothes, with a backpack and many weapons strapped to her, though she did have leather armor, too. After stretching a moment, getting used to the human form, she started making her way towards the boy, wondering if he saw her transform into her human form. Though she didn't like her human form, it was still handy in some things.

Aikanaro - June 7, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
Running his hands through his hair, utterly lost in the Debon Plains, Aike surveyed his surroundings. Nothing... Nothing... and more noth- Huh? Something caught Aike's eye above him. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but it had just dove into some clouds. "What the... Oh, hell's bells...!" Aike continued to curse under his breath as a dragon circled overhead. If wasn't a griffin, it'd be a dragon. Wonderful. Just wonderful. The dragon slowly decended in circles a little ways off, but Aikanaro wasn't about to make friends with the maw of some overgrown lizard.

He started backing away backwards, slowly at first. When the dragon's feet actually touched the ground, Aike turned away and took off at a run, trying to keep his eyes out for any nest he would most likely plant a foot in. Then again, if I find a lone egg... Aike shook off his thoughts of eating and went back to his thoughts of being eaten.

He took a quick glance behind his shoulder and realized that the dragon was gone, but a woman was in its place. Aike couldn't help but take a double-take at the weapons loaded on someone her size. What the hell did I do to get someone like HER after ME!? And during his absentmindedness of his feet, they took him strait into an old, twisted tree. Blindsided, Aike hit and bounced, falling backwards with the wind knocked out of him.

Sava stopped and watched the boy, an amused smirk on her face as she watched him run. Pathetic, She thought, as the boy ran straight into a tree. She could've shouted to warn him, but it wouldn't get through his head in time, and sides, it was more amusing to watch him run into it. After a moment, she walked closer, getting nearer. "No, why is it that every time I fly down, people run? Whats so frightening about me?" She said, as she walked, smirking to herself.

When she was near, she stopped and leaned over him, her smirk still on her face. When the faint noise of buzzing got closer, though, she stood up straight, and turned around, seeing Blackquill fly angrily over, and sputtering about something in telepathic to Sava, who merely waved her hand, while mumbling a magic word, sending a wave of wind towards the fly dragon, knocking her off course, and into another tree, though only hitting a thin branch, and fell to the ground. Sava shook her head. That fly dragon was annoying. after that, her attention turned back to the boy, and she crouched down, and looked at him.

"You should keep an eye on were your going, boy, or do you run into trees often?" She said, evil playfulness in her voice, and she ran a hand through a lock of hair, the put it behind her ear, thinking about cutting it soon. She rested a hand on one of her swords. Though she had many weapons, she didn't have all of them, some were on her hors,e which was at a stables, or somewhere. Where was a dragon supposed to put a horse? She hardly needed one, but it was handy sometimes, and she has decided she liked riding.
