Title: sig question

Lord Phiros - May 23, 2007 08:16 AM (GMT)
yo, just wanted to ask a straight out question.

How do you make sigs? Like, I see some sigs with more than one pic in it, sometimes some pics are transparent. It looks real kool. Also, some have text. Anyway, I wanna know how you make those. Anyone know how?

I believe most commonly the makers use PhotoShop or a program much like it to create signature images like what you are speaking of. It is not that difficult to learn if you have patience or if you can get your hands on a nice tutorial.

....Doesn't Photoshop cost money? I can't afford that... I can hardly afford living, haha. Is there any other way? I heard there was something called GIF I could use... a friend of mine told me about it, however he did not tell me whether or not it was free.... he knew I wanted something free, so perhaps it is...

But yeah.... you know of anything else that's free? I'll settle for something that's maybe not as good or something.... as long as I can make my own somehow, you know?

My copy of Photoshop was given to me, I do not know the names of the other programs that are out there. If you do some digging, you might find a free version of Adobe Photoshop, sometimes there are trials.

Maybe someone else knows? *hints to the others*

There are several programs - the best of these is photoshop, which costs £300 odd. But, you can download a free 30-day trial from Here (The link is at the bottom.) There is also a program named GIMP, which is completely free and lasts for as long as you want. It's not as good as photoshop, but it's much better than paint.

If you get either of these two, I've found a couple of good sites over the months; the best of these being Pixel2life, with tutorials on just about anything.

You can download Photoshop for free if you want to break the law =]
There is a program named Photoplus, it is pretty much like Photoshop, but...Not good as Photoshop. But hey, it doesn't cost you!

Actually, Adobe offers a free trial of Photoshop and I believe it is as long as a month. So no, downloading this free trial would not be breaking the law.
