[glow=blue,2]Nareis walked into the room of the academy that Jhael had told her to meet him at. He had promised to help her control her powers, since she was oneof the rare, inborn sorcerer like Jhael himself. He had told her that she would learn to use magic differently from wizards who merely taught themselves to open up to the magical powers of the universe. Sorcerers were born with the magic inside of them. He had also told her that there was something strange about her powers and that if she learned to use her powers correctly, she would surpass him as far as power goes.

The room was a large one with a vaulted ceiling and it was unoccupied. She sat in one of the desks in the room and waited for Jhael...[/glow]

Jhael entered and smiled seeing Nareis. Never had he met another sorcerer whose power ran so deep. He had a suspicion that she was not entirely human as she believed herself to be, but he did not voice those thoughts. The least he could do was help her learn to use the powers within.

"Vendui', Nareis. You will not want to sit for this lesson. Its easier to caste while standing," he told her.

[glow=blue,2]"okay," she said, standing, unsure what to do. She could feel the energy flowing in her veins and she had tried to manipulate it before and she could easily make a sphere of light, but otherwise she didn't know how to use it any other way.[/glow]

[glow=red,2]"The first thing you need to do is relax," he smiled. He could see she was unsure and nervous. "You need to relax both your body and mind and focus on the light that is within."[/glow]

[glow=blue,2]Nareis grinned. "I'll try... When you say the 'light within' do you mean the magical energy? I feel a power flowing through me always. Its what I use to cause light. I feel a silver colored energy going through me like a river."[/glow]

[glow=red,2]"That is because you are a sorcerer like myself. We were born with magic in our very blood. It usually manifests at your age, with unexpected and uncontrollable bursts of power. You must learn to control that powers and control your emotions as well, or it very will take you over. I have seen young and emotional sorcerers do horrible things because their emotions and powers got the best of them. Always stay in control," he said firmly. As a Drow, he had been taught to have absolute control over every part of his being since childhood, as every drow is taught and in doing so, he had never let his emtions nor powers get the better of him.[/glow]

[glow=blue,3]"I never realized that there was a different between sorcerer's and wizards. So, wizards learn their art?" she asked. "How do I actually use my powers? How do I do things like heal or shoot lightning bolts?"[/glow]
