Title: The Amphibian Beast
Description: Die, Die, Die.... Die.

Lord Phiros - May 4, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
It was mid-noon in Richimon Lake, the lake's large body of water glistened as the sun's bright ray's scattered light across the Kingdom of Imythess. The air's soft, yet cold, currents blew across the earth's bosom, at the same time, trees waved about due to the calm breeze that filled the atmosphere. The skies were filled with chirping birds, all of them flew around in a elegant manner as they scanned their surroundings for their next meal. The waterfall's loud clash against the lake was a sound anyone would love, or at least learn to love. To Phiros, the sound of nature was simply the best, so to him, it was a sound that was not only loved, but welcomed.

We find Phiros at Richimon Lake. He had heard that the view of the lake and waterfalls was simply perfect for anyone who loved nature, and since he was indeed someone who loved nature, he thought he'd check it out before continuing with his travels.
And so, Phiros stands motionless beside Richimon Lake, his staff within his grasp and his wings slowly spreading to feel the breeze. To make it easier, he grabbed his jacket and practically threw it off himself, treating it as if it were nothing more than a piece of trash, and it showed, for his trench coat was covered in blood stains, dirt and dry mud. As the coat landed, without a sound, on the grass, Phiros decided it would be best to enjoy the view sitting down, so he did just that; sat down.
Seconds pass and Phiros slumps down, his eyes close as he's taken into a land of slumber...

Not a moment passes when Phiros is rudely interrupted by a loud roar. He opens his eyes and shoots almost immediately to his feet, still, staff in hand. What the hell was that!? I don't see anything... his thoughts ask question after question as he glances from one side of the lake, to the other. The source of the sound seemed to come from the lake itself, something thought impossible in Phiros mind, so he decided to look elsewhere. The sound came from within the lake itself... impossible, sound can't travel through liquid! he shook his head in disbelief as he gathered his trench coat, putting it back on in the process.
Just then, the loud roar he just heard occurred once again. Only this time it was much louder, so loud in fact that it made Phiros shield his ears. "Oh non-existent god! What the hell!!?" he glanced all around the lake again, left to right, just as he did before. Still... nothing. This is crazy. What the hell is making that sound!? that was when Phiros got the answer he wanted.

From under the wild waters of Richimon Lake emerged a scaly beast. It's shadow consumed Phiros' now stanced form. It climbed out of the lake and crawled on all fours on the land. Before taking a look at Phiros, it stood up on it's hind legs. Now, it had the appearance of an Amphibian-like man... an Amphibian Beast! "I thought I smelled a Demon... you there, what is your purpose here?" said the beast to Phiros, his tone with a hint of aggression.
"Ugh... I take it you're the one who made that wretched roar." replied Phiros, he too sounding a bit aggressive.
"It is not wise to ignore a question asked by the Great Dulhar, Demon. Now... answer!" the Amphibian Beast had revealed his name, Dulhar.
"And it's not wise to ignore mine. So spare me the formalities and do what you cam here to do..." Phiros lowered his eyes to a slit, watching Dulhar closely. He had a long scorpion-like tail with bright blue scales shielding it from nearly anything. The same blue scales also shielded his entire body, except the underbelly. His teeth were razor sharp, anyone could tell due to the fact that they extended well over his lower lip and jaw. One of the most astounding features about Dulhar was the fact that he stood a shocking twelve feet, two inches. Towering over some of the nearby trees.
Phiros knew this was going to be a problem. Just knowing that he was the one who had to take this monstrosity down tingled his spine excitement.
"Hahahaha. Watch your tongue, Demon. I'll grind your bones into nothingness!" with that, Dulhar acted without hesitation by lunging at Phiros, arm extended, his claws waiting for a Demon's blood!
Phiros, even though he saw the attack coming, was caught totally by surprise. Dulhar's movements were just too fast. And so, Phiros took a most painful wound. Dulhar had dug his claws into Phiros' stomach region and slashed outward, making the wound even wider... not to mention it spilled a larger amount of blood... more so than Phiros expected, especially from a first attack.

I can't believe.... he got me... already. Ugh! So fast.... ugh... Uurrghh!! Phiros widened his eyes as he was pushed back from Dulhar's attack. Blood shot from his now fresh wound, he had no choice but to rip his shirt and wrap it tightly around his wound.
After doing so, he stared back at the Amphibian Beast that stood not ten yards away from him.
"So are you going to retaliate again, Demon?" asked Dulhar, still, his tone having that hint of aggression, and yet, calm at the same time. Phiros clenched his fist in anger, his piercing eyes glaring at Dulhars. The two had a natural hate for eachother, as if they were meant to meet... meant to kill each other.
"Why you-- I'll spill your blood upon this lake! The very home you've come to love will be your very grave!! HAHAHAHAHAAA!!" Phiros held out his arms, spreading his wings at the same time. Each of Phiros' wings were longer than even Dulhar's massive body, so he was able to take him by surprise as well.
Phiros flapped his enormous wings continuously as his form was lifted into the sky.
"Now die!" with that, Phiros aimed his staff at Dulhar. The staff was sparking all around it's tip and at the same time; sending small bolts of lightning Dulhar's way. Dulhar jumped to the side, in an attempt to parry the elemental attack. It ended in utter failure. Dulhar's body was just too big to dodge effectively. So he was hit, and electrocuted. Dulhar was hit back, due to the recoil of the lightning bolts. He bounced on his back before rolling back on his feet, still looking up at Phiros air bound form.
"So you have wings... Only the truly wicked of Demons sprout wings such as those.... I am impressed... But I'm afraid that's not enough to win this battle!" suddenly, from Dulhar's rear--

Nightwind - May 4, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
--From Dulhar's rear, a roar was heard from behind the waterfall and a dragon flew towards the creature. The dragons scales were black and green, and she seemed to be a black and a green dragon, she has resembalence of both dragons. Her wings flapped, strong and hard, making Dulhar wobble a little. Sava, opened her jaws wide, showing razor sharp teeth. Her eyes furious, mostly because the creature was attacking someone who did nothing, well, as far as she could see, but she had no intention of killing Dulhar. Her claws glinted in the sun, as she flew fast.

When close to the creature, she swooped low, and landed near the creature, her furious gaze never leaving the creature. She opened her mouth again, acid dripping from her mouth. "There seems to be no point in attacking the demon." She snarled, her voice deep, like any dragons, and a growl escaped her throat. She hated demons, but she was not about to let one be killed for no reason, it seemed to her when she saw the male demon, he looked to be enjoying himself, and even half demons had a right to enjoy natures beauty, if he was full demon, she herself would help destroy the him, but he was only half, and did not deserve to die... yet, not until she knows him better, then she would decide.

The creature raised a clawed foot and attacked Savarkael Nightwind. Her body tensed, not having enough time to block, the claw scrapped her at the base of her neck, the claws ripped through her weaker scales. Snarling, Sava spat acid out and into the creatures face. It reeled backwards, but quickly recovering from it, and then it was his turn to attack, and it jumped forward, clawing at Sava, clawing where her new wound was, and the Sava reeled away from the beast, and whapped it with her tail, and slipped out of its reach.

She stood on her hind legs, and made a strange movement with her front clawed feet, and she said a word of magic, her claws crackled, blue light coming around her claws, then, a lightning boot shot forth, striking the beast, who roared angrily.

Is this even worth it, just helping a fiend? And why? I hate those creatures, She thought angrily to herself, watching the beast, her claws lowered.

Lord Phiros - May 5, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
Phiros was nothing but surprised when a black dragon whipped through the raging waterfall and struck the Amphibian Beast, Dulhar. The attacks coming from the dragon were spits of acid sent hurling through the air and on Dulhar's exposed face. Dulhar reacted just the way Phiros expected, foolishly. He had lunged at the dragon and managed to get in an attack of his own, near the rear of the dragon's neck. That didn't seem to slow the dragon down, but it did, however, manage to piss it off. If Phiros knew anything about battle, it was not to let your anger consume you. It was a lesson the dragon would soon learn... at least, that's what Phiros thought.
Phiros examined the dragon closely. It was black with an occasional green scale here and there. As for the size, it was more on the tall side rather than width, which is the kind of dragons Phiros was used to battling, however, it looked like this time he was on the dragon's side. That was a good thing, considering his previous run in with a dragon, which ended with utter defeat.
After watching the dragon smash Dalhar with it's tail, Phiros decided now was the time to strike, if he wished to kill the beast. A dragon helping me... who woulda thought. with that thought coming to an end, Phiros darted at the now grounded Dulhar. His back was facing Phiros, so it was a target just aching for something to hit it!
And so, Phiros took his staff in both hands and threw it into Dulhar. Upon impact, the staff emitted an electrical wave. The intensity of the lightning made Dulhar twitch and scream in pain.
"AgGhhHH!! Cursed... Demon! UUGgHHH AAHHHH!!" the cold blooded beast squirmed on the ground, trying to claw at Phiros at the same time. However, the staff was still touching his scales and as long as it did that, Dulhar would continue to feel the agonizing pain he wanted so badly to be rid of. Guess his scales can't absorb electricity, heh heh.

Then Phiros extended his own claw-like nails. Within seconds, his nails grew longer, wider...stronger. They looked more like talons now, rather than claws. He then dug his talons into Dulhar's wound, the one Phiros inflicted personally just before the dragon exposed itself. His talons ripped through Dulhar's flesh without any trouble at all. It seemed underneath his tough exterior, Dulhar was as soft as any human.
"It seems you do have a weakness, underneath your scales you're just like me!" Phiros laughed at his own words, his cocky tone showing Nightwind the motive for his laughter. Phiros then reached down and collected his staff. Dulhar was free from the electrical hold, but it would take time to recover from it. Meanwhile, he rolled to the side, trying to get as far away as possible from both Phiros and Nightwind, the two who threatened his very existence.

Phiros let him flee, after all, where would the fun be if he ended the battle this early? While letting his foe regain himself, Phiros leered over in the direction of the Dragon. He looked it up and down and grinned maliciously before speaking with the creature, "What is the meaning of this? A Dragon defending a Demon such as I? No... it's all too easy" he glanced up, into the skies, "Why do you mock me? Do you doubt my skills? Heh heh heh heh, you're so foolish, Lucifer." Phiros mumbled to himself, staring back into the eyes of the ferocious dragon that stood before him. Just then he had a flashback of a past memory. Lucifer.... his rival... and blood.
Suddenly, weird groans were heard coming from Dulhar. He stood up, squeezing his now pulsating brain. Phiros raised a brow and shrugged, "It seems he doesn't have full control over his powers, pity." Phiros exclaimed, secretly charging his staff, getting ready for anything that may come his way.
Dulhar, meanwhile, was transforming into another strange creature. A new form of Dulhar's. His first transformation. Dulhar had now taken the appearance much like his previous one, only he had horn-like appendages sticking out of his back. Also, he was much bulkier and at least three feet taller.
"Now you will both learn what it means to do battle with Dulhar!" Dulhar roared with his new level of superiority.
Phiros merely laughed at the thought that Dulhar thought he had this battle won. If anything, it was only beginning. Phiros was about to show him that... and for some reason, he felt the Dragon would most definitely have a say in the matter....

"Kneel before me, Dulhar. For I am the creeper and you are my prey!"

Nightwind - May 5, 2007 03:18 PM (GMT)
Sava watched the half-demon attack the beast. She felt, a little sad for the creature, but now that she fought it, and that it attacked her, she knew it deserves to die, it shouldn't have to live if it was going to attack everyone about, like the half-demon. Her eyes flashed with a new anger. Why do I bother myself in helping a pathetic demon, they all deserves to die what they did to me, but no, here I am, helping a insane one, maybe I can trust him, she thought, but she knew he would have to earn her trust, not just in battle, if he tried something she would take action. She watched the beast roll to the side, she grunted slightly, when the demon spoke, but she didn't reply.

Then he said something about a dragon helping him, she grinned slightly, but it was quickly gone. "Enjoy it while you can, Demon, make one wrong move towards me, and I swear it will be your head I eat tonight." She said, as she spoke her voice rumbled slightly with a growl. "Betray me in this battle, and you won't survive." She said quietly.
Sava!! Whats going on?! Said another voice, this time in Sava's head. Soon a dragon fly flew through the brush on the large dragons left. Savarkael groaned, looking at the small fly dragon.

Blackquill flew around Sava's head, then curled around one horn on the dragons head. When Dulhar got up and transformed, the black and green dragon crouched, claws digging in the dirt and grass, her head lowered, and opened mouth, showing her sharp teeth, though on her face there seemed to be a strange grin, an evil like one. Acid once again dripped from her mouth, she growled.

"I've fought many battles, Dulhar, and I can promise, this is your last, I will not fall today." She growled. "My friends still need me..." She whispered, before she spread her wings, and reared back, roaring, like a battle cry sort of. She jumped into the air, and flew straight at Dulhar, and got close, her claws scraped against him, and she bit his neck, while Dulhar also clawed and slashed, and biting. Sava let out a cry of pain, and anger, her eyes blazed with a fury she never really felt. After inflicting many wound to enemy and getting some herself, she pulled away, stumbling as she got away from the beast. On her neck there were wounds.

Lord Phiros - May 6, 2007 09:24 AM (GMT)
Phiros heard what the dragon had to say, something about it eating his head if he betrayed it in battle. Phiros laughed a bit before replying, "I would never dare betray a dragon, relax." Phiros said, a grin lifting as his words come to an end. The tone of his voice was not to be trusted, like there was some twisted intension behind them...

Phiros just watched as the two got in a serious scuffle. The large black dragon had dug it's nails into Dulhar's chest and legs. Not to mention it bit anything in range, which, in this case, was Dulhar's neck. While Dulhar too executed attacks of his own, a minor counter if you will, it was nothing compared to the damage inflicted by Nightwind and her small army known as her claws and teeth. Phiros shrugged as the dragon reared back and let out a loud roar, letting Dulhar know it was serious.
Phiros then took a look at Dulhar, who was pressing down against his wounds, trying to slow down the blood flow. Dulhar then spoke,
"Wretched Dragon! Why do you come to this Demon's aid? I can see in your eyes that he's no friend of yours, so why offer your assistance to such a creature?" without even letting Nightwind think about an answer, Dulhar gaped his mouth open and let out the screeching roar Phiros heard earlier, before Nightwind's arrival.
Unlike the previous time however, Dulhar was now out of the water, so his terrible screeching roar would be heard way better, and to Dulhar, that was good. The louder, the better. And so, Dulhar roared a high pitched roar, it sounded pretty much like nails scratching a chalkboard, only if it was amplified.
Phiros reached for his ears in pain, falling to his knees at the same time. The frequency of the screeching roar was too great for him to handle, he was helpless while Dulhar gained the upper hand.

What happened with Nightwind, Phiros didn't know. He was too busy holding his ears to look. Was Nightwind affected by the sound? Was the high pitched roar of the Amphibian Beast powerful enough to penetrate a dragon's tough exterior?

Gregory Faust - May 6, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
Gregory reared off his flight path and plummeted towards the ground as a high pitched howl pierced his ears. He had been enjoying a nice, relaxing flight through the forest. The birds were singing and the deer below were scattering at his shadow. All had been calm and nature had been at peace for the first time in a long time. The ground rushed up to meet Gregory as the sound pierced his mind. Thinking as fast as he could, he began his celestial prayer, the sounds of angel's singing blocking out the scream. He spread his wings abruptly, swooping upwards at merely three meters from the ground.

Still able to hear the screaming behind the angel's voices, he turned and began flapping towards the noise, his spear at the ready. The peace of the forest was yet again to be disturbed and he had nearly fallen to his death because of it. To say the least, he was not happy. He lit up his holy aura and began gaining speed, gritting his teeth as Richimon Lake and a 12 foot pile of scales came closer and closer to him. Realizing how quickly he was closing in on the monster, he slowed his flight, taking note of another winged person near the monster, seemingly in pain due to the monster's screaming.

Flapping lightly, Gregory landed on a tree a few yards from the man, confident that he had not been seen by either monster or man. Taking the pain of the scream upon himself, he stopped praying and began to chant the words of his magic in his mind. The man with wings was bleeding due to a stomach wound. He was surely in pain and would soon be left helpless due to blood loss. Assiendarei. A blue light enveloped Gregory`s hands, transferring to the winged man before him. His energy began to drain as the man`s was sure to fill up, but only after a short while the healing stopped. Apparently the man`s body had also done quite a bit on its own.

Confident that he had healed the man well enough for him to handle himself again, Gregory took to wing, filling his head with prayer again as he readied his spear. Taking to the initiative, he dove straight for the beast, returning his wings to his back at the last few moments and driving his spear into the beast with acceleration aided by gravity. The scream stopped. Gregory held on.

Nightwind - May 6, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
She glared at Dulhar, and as he let out the piercing screech, she growled, it hurt her ears, and her head soon throbbed with a faint pain. She shook her head, trying to rid herself of the noise, but gave up, it was no use, it wouldn't stop. She looked up, a deadly look glinted in her eyes. She wanted to rip Dulhar to pieces, destroy the creature to dust, to tear his heart out with her claws. Make him suffer, a great terrible torture. She flapped her wings once, but did not lift up. She saw Gregory, when he attacked the beast, with a spear.

"This Demon does not deserve to die, not today by you, Dulharl, I've met a half-demon before, and he has earned my trust, so I do not believe this one deserves to die, by a monster like yourself." Sava said, in more like a growl. She herself then, she jumped forward. When close enough, she clawed at Dulhar's flesh, ripping at whatever she could, and bite, she ignored the other man, who had wings. She bit Dulhar's neck, hard that she drew a bit of blood, then the beast brought up a claw and ripped at the wound she had at the base of her neck. She roared in pain, and her anger blazed again, and she bit harder, making Dulhar grunt a little.

Sava! Quill said telepathically, and the fly dragon uncurled itself and flew to a nearby tree, then sent a magic missile towards Dulhar, but didn't do much damage, but the beast moved his claw from Sava's neck. Sava had wounds, and blood seeped through, around her sleek scales, and unto the ground, but she paid little attention to the wounds, her mind set on killing this beast.

Then something snapped, something felt familiar. She remembered, that she has never had thoughts like the ones she had since she was a wormling, when she killed her brothers and sisters. She remembered her mothers glee after that, she was happy what Sava was turning into, hoping that one day she would become the most fearful dragon ever, Savarkael never wanted that to happen, and now she was a little afraid of the thoughts she had in this battle. When she thought about that, it left an opening for Dulhar, and the beast attacked Sava, pushing her down, claws breaking through her scales. She roared an pain, and she tried to get away, but Dulhar had his claws clenching her, keeping her from getting away, if she tried then she would most likely have flesh torn from her body.

Lord Phiros - May 6, 2007 10:58 PM (GMT)
Phiros had been clenching his head in pain when a soothing aura seemed to envelope around him. He could only stand their on his knees as his energy began to recharge. It seemed the blue light that now surrounded him was that of the holy realm. Whoever casted this magic was definitely a warrior of light, and not darkness, which Phiros was. Perhaps after they found this out, they'd change their mind about helping him next time.
That was when he noticed a new face, another man with wings. Only his were of the angelic realm. Why did he help one of demon blood? There was bound to be a reason, maybe he too felt sympathy for Phiros, just as Nightwind did before him. Dulhar seems to be pissing everybody off today, heh heh. with that, Phiros thought it best to take action. After all, the new guest had and so did the dragon.

Just as he was about to take a lunge at Dulhar, Nightwind, the dragon thought to overpower Dulhar easily, was knocked to the ground. Following that; Dulhar pierced Nightwind's hard scales with his mighty claws. Dulhar had taken vicious attacks from Nightwind before this, so he wasn't able to send another attack Nightwind's way. No, instead, he had to pay a fraction of his attention to the spear that was in his back, and on it, the winged man. Dulhar grunted as he spoke to the man, "Another pathetic being here for glory, out of my way you overgrown bug!" Dulhar then lunged his arm back, grabbing the spear. He pulled hard and threw his opposite hand at Gregory faust, hoping to connect with his puny head.

Meanwhile, Phiros had been charging his staff yet again, getting ready to send a flurry of bolts Dulhar's way.
I'll be the one to kill you, Dulhar. I'll make sure of that!

Gregory Faust - May 22, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
This monster was huge, and as Gregory clung to his spear and kept his feet on its back he was beginning to realize this. He watched it send blood flying from the neck of the other combatant. All the swinging was making him rather light-headed, and it was only with the aid of adrenaline that he saw the swinging hand before it connected. Spreading his wings, he launched from the beast's back, lunging backwards and taking hard to flight before hitting the water and crippling the use of his wings. He had tried to his spear, but given up when he saw the monster's hands latched onto it. Flying just out of the monster’s reach, he turned his attention to the wounded dragon that was fighting with him.

Assiendarei. Blue light enveloped him and collected at his hands. The dragon was wounded at the neck and crushed. He couldn't tell how crushed the dragon was, but he knew that due to the monster attacking him it had released the dragon from its claws. Focussing hard, he thrust his hands out towards the dragon, and gritted his teeth as the energy shot through the air and lit the dragon up in blue flame. He felt energy drain from his body. The dragon had taken some big-time injuries and it seemed to try to reject his healing at first, but give up after Gregory fought through. As his spell finished he breathed a sigh of relief at being able to end the drain.

His thoughts now turned to retrieving his spear from the monster. He could not tell if it was still in, as he was at an angle behind the two other fighters and facing the beast, but checking at this point would be hazardous. Deciding to conserve the little energy he had, he closed his wings for a second, taking to a falling motion then opening them up and swooping next to the man. He did not bother to differentiate whether it was good or evil, being too busy with the common enemy, but upon closing in he felt its black taint, and he did his best to ignore it.

"Exactly what are we dealing with, here?" He asked in the common tongue that the human spoke, "Is this an old acquaintance, or do we know anything about him?" He not once turned to look at the man, afraid of what he might see. He knew that if the man was a demon he would not be able to control himself, and two enemies were not what he wanted now. He would put up with the man for now, and hopefully for good. He did not want to bother with crushing yet another demon.

Nightwind - October 18, 2007 03:45 PM (GMT)
Sava reared away from Dulhar when his claws left her, and she took steps away from him, breathing hard. A angered look in her eyes. Then, she was in like blue flame, and slowly, her wounds healed, they stopped bleeding, and grew smaller, but they were still there, they just didn't really hurt anymore, she looked up at the winged preson who had healed her as much as he could, she was happy about that. She stayed standing, watching Dulhar, trying to calm herself, and try to rest just a little before she did something. Why couldn't the beast just leave? He is out numbered, by a dragon, and two fighters.

She growled in her throat.

"Exactly what are we dealing with, here? Is this an old acquaintance, or do we know anything about him?"

She looked at the winged-person, as she is now calling him, an dcocked her head slightly. She was helping because she wanted to, she saw the beast attack the half-fiend, so she decided to help, she didn't like it when things are attacking others who would have no chance. But then, she had an urge to just jump into the air and fly away, if they left, she doubted that the beast would follow. Why would it want to leave its home? She stared a moment, seeming to drift off into her own thoughts, how she always seemed to do, but then snapped out of it.

The beast had done a lot of damage to her, but she was healed, and now she wanted to rip the beast to shreds. A dragon, she believes, never needs to have a reason to fight another large beast. She opened her large wings, and jumped into the air, flapping her wings to bring her up higher, and higher, leaving the half-demon to answer the winged-person. She flew above Dulhar, circling, her wings giving out largegusts of wind, as she ascended higher. Suddenly, she dropped, diving towards the beast, and landing hard unto his back, her front and back legs digging into his hard hide. Her mouth opened wide, showing her own sharp teeth, and she bit the beasts neck, at the base anyway, tight and hard.

The amphibian beast had got her a little to annoyed, and it brought with her, her most hated memories, and that got her in a worse mood.

((OOC:...err.... oops... been a little to long since I replied...I just got into a RP mood...))
