Title: Lost in the marshes
Sven Valdemar - March 28, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Sven woke up to find himself laying on him stomach on a toppled tree in a place that was quite unfamiliar to him. It was raining and he was dreanched from his silver hair to his claw-like toenails. Where am I? Why does my head hurt so badly? Sven reached behind his aching head and was shocked to dicover a deep gash back there. Sven flinched as pain shot out along the gash as he ran his fingers along it. What did i hit? Or what hit me? Sven turned around and saw a rather large rock ajacent to him. When he feel the cut again, he could tell it was starting to heal already. I'm surprised a wound like that didn't kill me, but where did it come from? Then he cast detect undead to find out if there was any non-human creatures around that could have left him there with such a wound. Sven thought for a moment that he felt a presence behind him. He turned and saw no one. I think that rock hit my head a little too hard, I'm never this paranoid.
The rainfall increased and Sven figured he should make an attempt at figuring out where he was. Thunder cracked in the gray skies as he stood, cold and confused, without any knowledge of what had happened, or how long he had been there. It can't have been too long, that cut would've been fully healed by then. Sven shrugged his shoulders and ajusted his sword that still hung over his back. He checked to make sure he still had his journal, and checked to see if there was anything in there that could help him understand what exactly he was doing in such a desolate place.
It finally occured to him that if his wound was caused by an actual person, not just some accident, then they couldn't be too far. The gash was relatively new when he had discovered it. Whatever, for now, I just have to get out of here. With that, he trudged through the cold, wet, slimey, marshes, in no particular direction. If I keep walking in one direction, I'll have to come out somewhere eventually. Or, I'll run into someone to make my next meal. Sven was now a little more detrimined, and his pace quickened.
StallionThunder - March 28, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
Stallion Thunder watched the groggy eyed man come to his senses. As he got up and began to walk away he jumped from tree limb to tree limb nimbly making as little as noise as he could. He watched the creature pick up pace, which made it harder for him to keep up but he managed well enough.
He caught up and started to gain head of this man. when he was several feet ahead he jumped down in front of the man and drew his sword. He spoke swiftly not knowing how patient this creature was with words, "Me and you, we are both lost, and unless you want to be my next meal, since you are already bleeding and its making me a little more thirsty then I already am, I suggest you help me find a snack." He smiled and tilted his head to the side.
Sven Valdemar - March 29, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
A vampire swooped down in front of Sven and he stopped as to avoid running into the creature. The creature spoke quickly as if saying his last words, Sven found it fitting, for he figured the vampire would be dead soon anyway. The stalker of the night asked Sven if he wanted to help him, and his stomach lurched. He sought no compainions, especially one so frail.
"I rather kill you then help you find a snack. Besides, what reason do I have to aid you anyway, for all I know, you could've been the one who made me bleed in the first place." Sven glared at him with a distrusting gleam in his silver eyes and spat at the vampires feet. "Also I'm not human, well, not all human anyway, and as a half-demon, I don't see one reason to obliged to some bloodless night stalker. Don't underestimate me because I was recently injured, I'm as really to fight as you are. I heal ten times as fast as normal people and three times as fast as a vampire. Sven drew out his sword and held it in an offensive position before himself as more rain trickled through the tall, mossy, trees that infested the marshes.
"Vampires are so frail and weak, I'm sure I could snap you in two without even breaking a sweat. What makes you think you could ever beat someone like me? I can beat you without this sword, you should know that." Sven sheathed his sword, replaced it behind his back, and extended his claws and teeth. "Do you still wish to accompany me?"
StallionThunder - March 31, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
Stallion Thunder smiled at the mans words they were harsh, but thats all they were words. The rain fells onto his wide brimmed hat and dripped off in front of his face. The demon spat, and it landed inches from his fee, he smiled more. He watched as the the demon pulled out his Katana, and his smile grew twisted.
He spoke quietly, it was almost indecisable over the sound of the rains pit-pat on the tree branches and leaves. "Your words are strong, for someone as weak as you. I was foolish for asking for your help. I should've known better then to ask a demon." He turned and began to walk away. He smiled at his reverse psychology, the demon would either join him or fight him. If they fought he could get his blood from this half-demon. He listened for sounds of moving or speech.
Sven Valdemar - April 1, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
Sven knew very well he couldn't beat the vampire in his condition. "Wait just a moment. I will join you. There's no sense in wasting my energy on you." I wonder if he would still kill me, but if he tries, then he will meet my sword.. Sven sheathed his sword and began to walking towrads the blood sucker. "Shall we go then?" A strange fog began to roll across the marshes. It was quite sudden, and left Sven feeling uneasy. He shook the feeling away, with the area being as damp as it is, he shouldn't be surprised. "You never mentioned your name."
StallionThunder - April 3, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
As the Half-Demon spoke a weird fog began to roll in, this made him smile. He thought "Hmm... This should make it much more fun." He didn't care to tell this creature his name, but decided since they sha'll be journying with eachother, it was only polite to answer his questions.
He turned around and he looked into the Half-Demons eyes and grabbed a handfull of his own hair. He responded to his question "My name is Stallion Thunder, what is your name?" He tilted his head to the side and added, "Answer quickly, for I'm ready to move out."
Something took a hold of him, as if he lost control of his own movements and sense. He seemed to playfully spin in a circle with his arms strectched out as if performing some ritual. He finally caught what he was doing and forced himself to stop. He tried to think about what had just happened and he could barely remember.
He acted like nothing had happened and looked back at the half-demon. "Lets go, we're wasting time."
Sven Valdemar - April 3, 2007 11:13 AM (GMT)
Sven rose an eyebrow at Stallion's actions. "Finally we're getting somewhere, but what was the reason for the twirling?" Sven said while walking up to the vampire. He's definately a strange one, but I may as well be polite, after all, I'm lost and this creature doesn't pose a threat. Sven paused his train of thought before picking back up again. Then again, if the spinning keeps up, I'm out of here.
Sven looked at the vampire and smirked. "Oh, and my name is Sven Valdemar. I regret to inform you though, that I am not a spinner."
StallionThunder - April 3, 2007 03:22 PM (GMT)
Stallion Thunder smiled at this remark "Ha, usually neither am I," He responded. "But I don't know what came over me all of a sudden. Well it's nice to meet you Sven, so sha'll we get going? Or should we stay here and twirl some more?" He smiled greater and began to head in a random direction. He really wished he knew where he was going but then again he never knew where he was going. So it wasn't much of a big change for him.
Sven Valdemar - April 6, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
Sven began walking in the direction that Stallion had chosen. For awhile they just walked in an awkward silence, and awhile later, they were still walking in silence. Sven was about to give up when he heard something. He paused for a moment and listened further. Those sounds, that smell, mortals are nearby. Sven smiled maliciously. He advanced swiftly yet quietly, and his sight locked onto a circle of men around a fire. They were drenched from the rain which had stopped by now and appeared to be returning from a battle somewhere.
"Well hello there." The men were clearly startled for the flinched at the sound of a voice. "What do we have here? A meal just sitting right here in the middle of nowhere, what luck." The men stood grasping their swords, trembling with fear. Sven could smell it. Good, it appears we'll have to fight for our food, I love it when they squirm.
Sven laughed. "Stallion, are you ready for some fun? Yes the smell of fear, the taste of flesh, how I long for the impending kill! I can't wait any longer!" Sven took off towards them, two ran away screaming in terror, seven remained. "I'll fetch the other two, take care of them!" And with that he jumped above and over the crowd and ran to retrieve the others.
He saw them, he was way too fast for their mortal speed. He jumped up into the trees and the men stopped and turned to look back. Sven laughed, either way they didn't have a chance, but stopping was just ridiculous. He swooped down behind them so quietly they didn't hear him land. "Too slow, you're far too slow.
Sven's hands grasped the jaw of one, twisting his head until it severed from his neck, as he uttered his last scream. The other stood frozen in fear, so Sven dug his claws into his neck and began heading back towards Stallion and the other men. He didn't quite feel like dining alone and there was alot more food awaiting him there.
(OCC: 345 words, beat that!)
StallionThunder - April 12, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
Stallion Thunder watched a Sven jumped and bounded after the two that ran. He smiled at the seven that were left. "So I see you all are almost to frigthened to fight. But thats okay I'm feeding for two and that makes me very hungry." He spoke to the men with a stern voice. He reached over his right shoulder and unsheathed his sword. He layed the blade so it's tip touched the ground.
He ran at the men and raised his sword to strike. The men cringed as his sword met flesh with his first swing. One of them standing towards the front lost his arm from his swing. Blood spewed everywhere, making Stallion smile a bigger smile. AS he fought them his steel met their steel, they were not very skilled in fighting making this very easy stallion. He cut off their limbs until they were all no longer mobile. It made him smile at how easy it was. They cried and begged for their lives as he knelt down and began to feed.
Sven Valdemar - April 16, 2007 11:55 PM (GMT)
Sven carried the two men back towards where he last saw Stallion. When he arrived he saw the battle had already begun. He stuck out his leg tripping one that tried to run from the vampire and placed his foot on the man's back, crushing his spine into the ground. Meanwhile he watched Stallion fight with ease. No point, they're far too weak
So he began tearing chunks of bloody flesh and meat from the man he carried in his right hand. He quite enjoyed the flesh of humans. For creatures so ignorant, so weak, so corrupt, they sure do taste good. He chuckled to himself and waited for Stallion to finish up.
Vernon - April 18, 2007 08:27 PM (GMT)
The rain drenched his foul fur, lessened the use of his ears and nose, yet all in all he like liked the rain for the simply fact that it kept his marsh a miserable trap for the foolish and unprepared adventurers. He often found it amusing to see how many of those there were, but at the very least did his part to shorten the numbers with gruesome deaths. And yet, there were still those who said he did nothing good for the world.
Vernon laid lazily on the tree limb as he snacked idley on a rotted peice of fruit, letting it's tainted juices roll down his foul fingers. Shrieks of terror called out to him in his moment of relaxation. Knowing only that they weren't caused by himself, he feared the worst. Munwithurix was back. The black dragon probably had a few new tricks up her sleeves since he last saw her yet he also had a few tricks he had yet to use against her.
Vernon hastened in the the direction othe the screams, jumping from tree top to tree top. She was likely met with little to no resistance so he couldn't expect her to be wounded from her fight or morelikely slaughter, but he did have to move quickly and eliminate her as quickly as possible, least she start drawing minions and plans to remove him.
Vernon's eyes were pleased to see that his intruder was not the infamous black dragon, but instead two men dining on the freshly slaughtered humans. This didn't stop them from annoying him, after all they did steal his victims and were tresspassing in his domain. By scent he could tell that the victims were human and the two men were vampire and demon, more likely half demon, but he could tell what the vampire was formerly nor what the other half of the demon was. Poissibly human in both cases.
After a breif observation, he decided it was time to make himself known and maybe try to frighten them out. The demon was after all wounded, though it was still two agaisnt one. "Who are you two fools to dare tresspass on my marsh and steal my meals?" Vernon boomed as he gazed down upon them from his perch on a surdy tree limb.
StallionThunder - April 18, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Stallion Thunder fed on one of the corpses blood. He heard a noise from a tree nearby and stopped feeding. He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a Rat-like creature. He smiled and thought of this land being the creatures. He looked at his food on the ground frowned and stood up. He managed to tear his longing gaze away from his food back to the Rat in the tree.
"I don't want to fight you, I am only here to feed, and i will leave your 'property' when I am finished. He said this and crossed his arms. He then realized something was missing, he looked to the ground and saw what he was missing. His sword laid there and he bent to pick it up in case of a fight. "I must have dropped it when i was feeding." he picked it up and stood up straight. Helooked back at creature in the tree, and smiled. He then looked over at Sven to see his reaction, he knew he would not let something like this go lightly.
