Arthru walked into the temple of blades and noticed few people but he did not care he was hear on a mission of purpose of ,War ,of Honor ,of Duty. He appraoched the lone statue of the Goddess of Blades. He approached and laid hsi sword at the foot of the statue and bent down on his knees his head to the sword. He said in a reverent voice," Dearest Goddess of the Blades I doubt that you know or can even hear me for I knwo that one such as you has not the time for one as lowly as myself. I am here to swear an oath to you an oath to the blade Iam here to give you me life, my soul, my sowrd everything that Iam I am swearing to you". HE then said," Goddess of Blades I swear on pain of death on my soul that I will only serve you and only die as you say die, as fight as you say fight, and sheild as you say sheild I will never betray you and I wil lalways serve you and the blade faithfully I will swear any additonal oath you deem necessary. I only wish to serve you say yopu may guide me on my quest for greatness, and of the Sword". He then said," In your Divine name I swear on everythign and pay that you wil laccpet me as your servant". Veronna Darkblade - March 16, 2007 02:47 AM (GMT)
The temple was quiet, like always. A faint breeze blew through the courtyard, making her hair blow down around her face and shoulders. Vaoulrah rested in her mother's arms, her small eyes gazing around. Veronna was looking down at her daughter, at how beautiful she was. She had her father's eyes, a green, which seemed to beam out from her near complete black skin. A smile was set the goddess's face, a smile only a mother knew.
She looked up when she sensed someone enter the temple's premises. Someone she did not know. She turned towards the door, waiting a few moments until she turned. She opened the door and walked in, Veronna's eyes adjusting to the dark hallways. She went forward as she listened to a prayer the newcomer was saying, a weak smile on her face. Many have come to her temple, saying the same things this man was saying now. Only a few ever truly stayed with her, and those who have stayed by her side meant what they had said.
She wore her dark red tunic this day, it's short sleeves allowing her bare arms to move freely. Her black pants fitted her legs instead of the loose ones she normally wore. Her scimitars rested on her hips like always, ready to be drawn at any moment, but she would not be able to draw both of them, for Vaoulrah took up one of her arms, but fighting with one sword was not bad and she was very capable of it. Her hair which normally was tied back, hung over her shoulders.
The last of the prayer was said and she rounded the corner she had been waiting behind. She looked down at him. He was about as tall as Ocar, but she now just realized this man was not fully human, but whatever he was part of she did not know. Her face was stern looking as she examined him, her red eyes scanning his build, then his face. "Many have come to my temple, many have said what you just now said, only few ever mean it." A few loose locks of hair hung over one side of her face, her stare still on him as she tilted her head slightly. "Why are you different the those who say they will serve, then turn their backs on me just as soon?" anger quickly flashed in her eyes, an anger which was caused by so many who had left her.

When Arthur had finished he heard someone say something behind him and he turned slightly and saw before him the goddess Veronna and his eyes widened and he dropped to the floor and bowed down and said," Forgive me my Mistress". He then answered her question," Unlike those men I have honor, unlike those men I speak truth even if it means death, unlike those Iam a man who knows what betrayal can do". He said," Unlike those I have the honor of and Truth of a Dragon, unlike those Iam of the Line of Pendragon a Line that once Served you as faithfully as any one should even when their enemies closed around them they held to their faith and their servitude even whem King Urthur my Grandfather was killed by the hands of invaders he still served as faithfull as ever, my Blood Line Served you for as log as they lived they swore the Pendragons Oath to you and as being one of their Blood I reswear that oath an oath that can never be broken for to do so would dishonor and tear the Pendragon line to nothingness". He then said," Iam Arthur Pendragon the Last Heir to the Pendragon Line, the last person to the right of Excalibur, Iam the Son of Nar'Vaeg the Lord of The Skies a Dragon like myself in spirit, I am a Pendragon a Half-dragon and my honor and word are to be held as one and such are unbreakable only in death". He did not rise after he spoke but only looked at the goddess and said," Whatever you require of me will be doen without hesitation I would go with you to the Pit of Doom if you asked I would spit in the Dark Ones Eye if you asked me to". He rose and said," My reason is to have what is rightfully mine and when all is done and over, I will honor you in whatever way you want even if it is my death".

Veronna watched as the man bowed to the floor, and began to answer her question. His answer was long, but she listened to him without interrupting him. When he finished she raised an eyebrow at him as he stood, finding herself about a foot shorter then him. But she she use to looking up to see someone's face, for Ocar stood over a foot taller then her. So he was not fully human. She had guessed that, but did not expect a half-dragon, though it changed nothing.
This man, Arthur, said his family had served her, but she knew it was not true. She was a new goddess by most standards, only having been a goddess for about five years, but there were ancient gods, ones that people use to worship. She guessed his family probably served one of them, because she knew no Pendragons.
"I am sorry, but you are the first Pendragon I have met. I believe you may be mistaking me for someone else. I am one of the New Gods of Imythess, one who has replaced one of the Old Gods." She felt kind of weird telling him this, mostly because he seemed so determined to follow her. "You seem to be an honorable man, and I am always welcoming to strangers who wish to take the hard road of following me, which you seem eager to do where many have failed. But like I said, I am not the goddess your family knew, and if you wish to take back the oath you said here just a moment ago, I will understand." Her expression was one of understanding, but deep down she wondered who this family might have worshiped.
(Sorry it took me so long to reply...Busy busy....And sorry it is not longer...)
Arthur Pendragon - April 23, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
Arthur smield and said," Nay Goddess I shall hold to my oath an oath sworn by Pendragon cannot be undone till his oath has been fulfilled and I swear what I swore again no matter who my ancestors worshiped". He bowed and held out his sword and said," On my life or death I will serve you, you have my sword". He meant this his life would forever be in her service, If she so choose of him he would die for her that would be the extent of his devotion. He did no smile but awaited her answer but with a finality he said," On my oath as a half-dragon, on my Dragons honor, on my father who is Lord of Dragons, what you ask of me shall be given, if you wish it to be my death I would go gladly into the next world". As he awaited his answer a calmness entered Arthur he did not raise his head but would stay bowed liek that until he had his devotion answered. Inside he thought," Now is the time to show the world that Pendragons lien did not falter".
