Title: Drinking the Night Away.

Arthur Pendragon - March 1, 2007 02:40 AM (GMT)
Arthur sat in the tavern his cloak over himself so as to hide his features from site. Sometimes people coudl tell he was half-dragon other times not. Many rejected him because of what he was others respected him sometimes out of fear others because of his skill. Mostly because not many could claim a Heron Mark Blade and his was a true Heron Mark it was designed specifically for blademasters and he was one but he still trained no matter what. The bartender came up and asked," What will you have stranger". Arthur answered," A dry Martini shaken not stirred and keep em comin". The bartender looekd at him a little and went away. Arthur felt some eyes on hims but he ignored it sometimes people stared at people in cloaks because they always thought them shifty.

Kalius Aldura - March 18, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
As Kalius walked into The Purple Lantern Tavern, his feet were as light and care-free as a young boy. Kal was so excited he could not, nor did he try to hide his pearl white smile, because The Great City Of Balefire was this simple mans first taste of a big city. Having grown up in a tiny settlement, he was not used to the crowds of people, many street merchants or the constant excitement these walls held. Even so Kalius did not hide in this new enviroment, no, He seemed to thrive in it. Every conversation added needed knowledge, Every smile of acceptance added self esteem and every laugh or sound of joy made his heart pump up in size.
the tavern was fancy, more so then Kal could imagine a place of drink to be. Glass jars were scattered through out, and filled with what seemed to be faerie fire which was being used as the main light source for the establishment. Looking at his black traveling pants, tattered brown cloak and sleeve-less green shirt Kal felt a little under dressed. noticing a figure sitting at the bar draped in a cloak, he worked his way over and sat to the mans right. Needing information on how to get around imythess, this man looked like he could help. Not directly looking to the cloaked figure, as not to want to express a sense of threat, Kal asked
"Good sir, nice day to share a drink?" Waving over the bar tender he continued "even nicer to share some words i would say" glancing to the bartender he added " bring me, something cheap."
After receiving his drink, and letting his previous statements sink in he finished
"I am Kalius Aldura, and if you could tell me of the land a little i would be quite appreciative."

Arthur Pendragon - March 18, 2007 08:40 PM (GMT)
Arthur noticed when the man sat next to him but he didn't really mind he then answred the man when he asked a question," A Map could tell you more than I could, but I'll help anway I can I travel this land from coast to coast quite frequantly". He then said' Iam Arthur Pendragon a wandering blademaster". He smield and said," SO what is it you wish to know about this land and what it holds I know the legends I know the truths which do you ask for".

Kalius Aldura - March 18, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
Twirling the smooth glass goblet, which was filled with a thick alchohol in one hand, Kalius carefully tied his hair behind his head in a loose pony tail. Kal thought for a moment, what did he truly want to know? Honestly, he was quite happy not knowing where he was. Since he did not know where he was going, he could not truly be lost.
" Good sir, it is a great honor to meet a blademaster" Kal stopped to take a long draught of his ale, but almost spat it back up. Well at least i know why it was so cheap... he thought.
"as an aspiring swordsman my self, i respect the intense discipline it takes to study the skill." readjusting himself so that he is facing arthur fully, Kal leaned closer.
"Personally im extremely interested in spellcraft, the ability to control plants and wildlife, a skill that the elders in my village practiced in particular." contemplating whether or not to take another gulp of the vile, cheap alchohol he could not help but chuckle
"Do you know of a library in the realm, one that would perhaps have texts on spellcraft?" remembering that he spent the last of his coin on the nasty drink and a room, he added " and perhaps a way a humble man could earn some change?"

Arthur Pendragon - March 18, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Arthur smield and said," Interesting so you plan on beign a Spell Warrior then an interesting thing I know a few ehre and there". He then thought for a moment on a good libarary and then said," There is a Library in Taras it has laods of books on magic and in Taras there is also an arena where one could earn money, why just last week the prize was at 500 gold, other than that there is good dicing in taverns and good moeny for people who can sing or perform, other than that unless you wanta steal some there is nothing". He smiled at the man and said," However if you think you can kill a dragon there is a Dragosn Hold not far from here with hordes of treasure, I would do it myself but what I am stops me from doing it". He had come close very close to revealing he was a half-dragon that time.

Kalius Aldura - March 19, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
His bright smile faded, a little at least, as his mind thought over the recomended course. Taras, He had heard of this place before, talked about by the village elders long ago. His father, as a man of high regard among the simple folk, would be gone for weeks leading a caravan of goods back and forth through imythess. Upon return Kal's father would lecture the village on the cruel nature of man, and the corruptivness of cities, Taras included. Coming out of his thoughts, he remembered he was still in conversation and kicked himself for being rude.
"My thanks, Good Sir, for your words," Kal bowed his head slightly and finished his vile tasting drink, which gave him an involentary shudder.
" It is always nice to have a destination. even if you do not have a path." His boyish smile returned as a bard across the room started playing, as if the melody reminded him of how happy he was to be on the road. With a sincere laugh he continued
"As for the arena, i may just avoid until i improve my studies" Bringing up his right leg to rest upon his left, he tapped his small dagger hidden inside his boot. "This being my only weapon, that i can afford at least." after a few seconds of silence and thought Kal laughed again
"that goes twice over for dangerous foes, Please, tell my of this dragon...where does he rest so i do not stumble upon him in the dead of night" He quickly added " also, do tell if he is villanous as i do not quite approve of the killing of an innocent."

Arthur Pendragon - March 19, 2007 03:07 PM (GMT)
Arthru smiled and said," You want to go face a dragon with only a dagger your either very stupid or very brave, but it does not matter the Dragon only hurts what it must to survive I only know him by reputation and he does as a dragon does to survive if he thinks you are going to hurt him he will kill you if he thinks you are going to steal his treasure he will hurt you". He then thought a moment and said," Betterr I think to live than face a dragon and its wrath". He then said," However I amy be able to get you to get a few items from his cave I can speak Draconic so I could help you there but it is a possible suicide mission".

Kalius Aldura - March 19, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
Laughing more sincerely than he had all night, Kal thought that dangerous prospect over to himself. To face a dragon, a foolish idea indeed. A chance that the Gentle man of the woods did not wish to take.
"Friend i believe you are right" Running his index finger along the inside rim of his cup, he touched his finger to his tongue for the sour taste. " A dragon is a noble being and, as long as the creature has not harmed life for sport, I have no ill thoughts toward him." Kal liked the possibility of viewing a dragon, perhaps even interacting with him. But every time his mind got carried away, Kal's new goal sreamed out to refoucus. " BladeMaster, that is a most generous offer and sounds like a grand adventure." With a deep, drawn out sigh he continued " If you offered this possibility at the top of the night i would of accepted but alas, i now have a destination." stopping momentarily to rethink his words " Taras, and its great library to further my studies is top priority." Shoving his empty mug down the bar, a question popped into Kalius' head " After i learn some ways of magic, i will look for you again perhaps...I do wish to see a dragon." Raising an eyebrow in a rather confused manner he finished "Arthur, if you do not take offense please do tell, how do you know the language of the dragon...as i did not think it of common knowledge."

Arthur Pendragon - March 19, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Arthur looked away from the man and thought if he should reveal what he was so far the man had proved trustworthy. He then lowered the hood of his cloak and said," It is not common and never will be I you see am Half-Dragon and was raised by Dragons and thats how I know it" He sighed and said," I hide ebcause people hunt what they do not understand and I have been hunted before, but only because of what Iam, I tend to bring back Honor to what Iam and my kin".

Kalius Aldura - March 20, 2007 08:30 AM (GMT)
Kalius knew little of dragons, gathering all his knowledge from scrolls he read as a boy. His father warned him to mistrust a dragon no matter what, as they were apparently known for their hate and cruelty. Another one of his lies, Kal thought, A story born from their desire to isolate me. When he left his village Kalius swore an oath to himself and the essence of the woods to makeup his own mind, to judge others on his own experiences and not a global theory.
"Good Sir, I believe you have doubled the honor of meeting you. Talking with one of your blood has been a deep longing ever since childhood." Yes, Kal figured he liked Arthur. From the words he spoke Kal took him for a noble man, one that upheld rules. Also, he was a BladeMaster! One would not submit years of his life to join an order that valued and protected justice if he was evil.
"I can assure you, there is little need to hide your origins while in my company. I do not judge on rumors or speculations as so many others apparently do." Offering a low bow, actually as low a bow he could from his seated position, He breathed a long sigh.
" But i am a little curious, as i almost always am... why do they hunt you? Have you a bounty on your head, or is it just due to your blood?"

Arthur Pendragon - March 21, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
Arthur just shook his head at the question anyone who knew the right of it knew he wasn't hunted like msot half dragons but to some it did not matter he said," Blood a Dragons Blood it seems they think I will turn Dragon on them and kill them all so they want to avert the threat and kill me, there was a time when what I was, was respected, but that tiem is long gone". He then made sure no one was listening there would be no end to trouble if they did.

Kalius Aldura - March 22, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
Kal just nodded, he himself knew what it was like to fall from grace. Probably not to the same extent of his half-dragon friend, Kalius was respected among his people. He was to train in the ways of nature, the Druidic craft, and had great potential. But, by turning his back on his village by choosing a life of company instead of solitude, Kal was not welcome anymore. Feeling curious as to Arthur's former life, Kal proposed a trade.
" I myself have lost my former life, and the respect of my village...Although in return i have also lost all respect for them." reaching over to his goblet, he drained the last few drops in its glass bottom. "If you are half as curious as i tend to be, I propose a deal. You tell me of your younger life, of how you fell form your perch of respect and i shall tell you all about mine?"

Arthur Pendragon - March 24, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
Arthur just smiled and said," It wasn't me that fell from grace it was something else". He just sat there for awhile and then said," There was a time when Dragons and Half-Dragons were respected all because of one kingdom the Kingdom of Pendragon". He paused and then said," The reason behind it was that the Pendragons had alliances with mystical creatures and as the Pendragons were more respected than any the mystical creatures were respected".

He paused again and continued," It all changed when Pendragons line fell to invaders its enemies while weak alone had formed together and took up the kingdom from Pendragon and killed all but the only daughter of Urthur the laste decendant of Arthur Pendragon the Weilder of Excalibur who had founded the knights of the round table. The Princess survived only because a Dragon who had been an ally of the kingdom saved her and together they have lived for 24 years in solitude waiting for Pendragons Kingdom to arise once more so that the people can live happily again and mystical creatures can be respected. The one that they put there hopes into is there only son Dar'Vaeg the Son of The Skies or as you may know him before you Arthur Pendragon the Blademaster, me the only one who can revive what was lost".

Gregory Faust - March 25, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
Gregory sauntered into the tavern, pushing the revolving door with his left arm as he hold it up, wiping the obsidian glove with an old rag. The obsidian never seemed to clean completely, always leaving a small stain which could never be washed out, but only when the stain was a product of an evil thing in which he attacked. Just a while ago he had been confronted by a man holding a woman, and without hesitation he threw his left hand at the man, fingers extended, driving the heavy hand deep into the man’s chest. His middle finger had a small red stain near the knuckle from the attack. This particular stain bothered him the most.

He had walked halfway across the tavern before he looked up to realize the display he had put on. His aura was still growing brightly, an aura he used to ward off large crowds. He had kept his spear with him rather than leave it at the door, a sign of trouble-to-come and he had yet to look anywhere but ahead, towards two men seated at a table. He lightly shook his wings, fluttering his robe at his feet and kicking up a miniscule amount of dust from the floor. He did so as to catch the cloaked man's attention before seating himself. He brought the chair towards himself quickly, placing it sideways out of habit and smoothly sitting, facing the table completely.

He studied both men. He watched their reactions intently, almost as though reading a book. One was a human. From the looks of it quite a homely human, for lack of a better word. He wore a rough shirt and torn up pants, and he looked almost as if he had been living in the wilderness his entire life and just happened upon clothes. The other was hard to tell, shrouded in his cloak. Gregory assumed he was a human as well, he was also quick to assume that the human we perhaps schitzofrenich, hiding under fabric to avoid attacking eyes. He also judged that this person in the cloak was not one to take kindly of Gregory's appearance. This would not be the first time, or the last, but it was always an uncomfortable situation. The bartender came to ask for a drink, but he waved him away before the man could speak.

"This tavern reeks of death."

Arthur Pendragon - March 25, 2007 02:11 AM (GMT)
When Arthur stopped he just sighed and said," That is the story behind the fall a repect lost because of a Kingdoms Fall". He smiled a little and the nheard the door open and looked at the person who entered but paid no attention till the man shook wings out and Arthru was a bit suprised at that he rarely meet people like this but said nothing. He then heard him say<" This palce reeks of deat". Arthur turned and then went back to his drink and said aloud," Death is everywhere we cannot avoid it, for it comes for us all". He did not turn and said to the bartender," Enough just pour me something tall and strong from now on make it Hurricane before I go insane". The bartender shook his head in understandment.
