Karia walked alone along the high, rocky paths of the mountain. Why she was there, she would not have been able to say. She had just seen the mountain, and on a whim, decided to climb it. That had been two days ago, and had turned out to be a bad decision. She was horribly lost now, only knowing two directions. Up and down. The only prblem was that she did not think she could find her way if she went back down. Oh yes, she could try to transform herself, but there was no certainty in finding anything from above. Plus, she was stubborn in her resolve that she didn't have to. She would eventualy find out where she was, or perhaps find someone else who happened to know. She thought on this as she rubbed her chilled arms. How she wished for a cloak at the moment. Or some flint, but that needed wood too, and so far Karia had not found much of it. None, actualy.

Karia looked down to her right towards the downward slope of the mountain. She could see the ground at its base, but beyond that, nothing. She couldn't even make out individual trees from this height. She shivered and thought about the complete idiodicy that had brought here here. You had to obey your curiosity didn't you, she grumbled inside her head. Appearently so. Her rubbing hands hit the hard, wooden flute case on her back. How she would love to trade that in f=right now for a cloak. Or not even that. A coat, or a blousewith longer sleeves intsead of this ghorrble short sleaved one. At least her legs were warm in their skirt.

Kli walked along the mountain side and smiled brightly, stopping where there was a wider path and putting down some wood to burn for a fire. The woman was tall and slender, looking more elf like than woman, even though it was clear that she was no elf. Her black and red hair blew into her face, covering up her pale features and her blue grey eyes. She sat down by the pile of wood, putting down her bag by her body and pulling the cloak tighter around her. She leant against the mountain side with a sigh, looking around her only to see a small dot in the distance. Unconcerned with an intruder, she simply lit the fire and covered it from some of the wind so it could grow before looking through her bag and finding some salted meat. "This should do perfectly.." She said, her eyes looking hungrily at it as she used a stick to hold it over the fire. "Now all I have to do is cook it.." She smiled, smoke starting to billow from the small fire. Where she sat was in a nitch within the rock, a place where it looked like a few travelers had rested before.

She cooked the meat and started to eat, but kept the fire going as long as she could since it was deathly cold. Her bag lay on her lap and her sword lay by her side as if she was ready to move out whenever she needed to. Dressed in full black, she stuck out like a sore thum against the rocks, but she showed no indication that she cared and quickly finished her meal and whiped her mouth with a hankercheif. "What will become of me next? She pondered, huddling against the rock and staring at the fire. "Where will I go from here?" She asked herself before noticing the figure comming closer.
