Title: Problem in Pirate's Cove
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 10:44 PM (GMT)
Aeacus flew into the beginning of Pirates cove with Demus at her side. From far away she already knew something was wrong. Her eyes were blue and green with a hint of purple. When Aeacus landed and folded her large, black dragon wings behind her and looked around. There was nothing there. No Pirates, No music, No sounds at all. Some Ships were in the harbour but were abandoned and broken. There had been signs that there was people here, but there were signs that some had been killed. Signs of struggle were everywhere and the occasional blood pile. Aeacus scanned the area several times looking for any sign of life but found none. Demus landed next to her. Everybody says that the screams are the worst part. That's not true. It's the sick, still, dead silence afterwards that get's to you. Aeacus walked foward, her footsteps echoing in the emptiness. She bent down and picked something up. A torn piece of black flag. She helt it tightly and looked around wildly at the ships. Then she saw it. Jack's ship, the flag torn down and ripped to shreads along with a lot of other things on it. Aeacus turned back towards Demus. Help me look for somebody. Tell me if you see anything or anybody. Draw your sword, there's somebody here. In fact many...things. Be carefull and be swift.
demus - December 28, 2003 10:59 PM (GMT)
Demus had already drawn his sword upon landing, as he had seen blood on one of the ships deck, and he knew that were the blood from someone the pirates had killed it would have been washed away before it could stain the wood of the ship....he stood waiting aeacus words, then folowed as she began to move towards the ship that he assumed was jacks....he sighed inside his mind as all the thoughts of a happy meeting with jack, and again feeling the swaying of the ship at sea...he had missed this much...he hoped that jack had survived the seemingly massive battle that took place....demus wondered what kind of creature would take the bodies after it battled....especialy those of its enemies..."i will go to the ships front, you the back, this tactic seems to serve us well....we shall meet in the middle, and go from there...as long as this is ok with you.." he awaited her response.
Orcus - December 28, 2003 11:09 PM (GMT)
Orcus heard from behind her hidingmplace the two people that moved towards the ship. Mabye pirates cove was not a good place to run away to afterall. She had listened as the pirates were attacked. It had not sounded good at all. She heared the ecoing footsteps as the two people moved but dared not come out of hiding.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 11:09 PM (GMT)
Alright. Yell if you see someone. Aeacus began to board the ship. There was wood and cannon balls sprawled everywhere, but no blood. Aeacus went to the back of the ship and stopped next to the steering wheel. She smiled and took it in her hand. She noticed some etchings on the side. Don't run into anything or I'll ram this into your throat! Jack always had a sense of humor. She smiled and continued down the back. She went down the stairs and noticed that all the hammocks were all upright and swinging fine, not disturbed at all. They were all on deck. Aeacus went into the captain's corner. There were maps sprawled all across the table and ink was pouring off the side. She carefully looked at the maps. One was to the Carribean. One was just Pirates cove. On the Pirates Cove one she noticed Jacks handwriting on a little house on a hill. Aeacus's Parents House Aeacus took the map and put it in her back pocket. She continued to look around.
demus - December 28, 2003 11:17 PM (GMT)
demus studied the ship as he paced the front of it...not knowing where an enemy may be , he kept his blade drawn, and ready to kill....he walked about the ship, looking to the area above him where he saw a body hanging from the crows nest, he did not want to disturb it untill he had aeacus there, as he could tell it was a dead man...."aeacus! i think i may have found somthing!" as he said this he noticed a very fancy blade broken in two on the deck, he looked at it, and pryed a few gems from it, and threw it over the side, it was unrepairable, it had been completely broken in the middle.
Orcus - December 28, 2003 11:21 PM (GMT)
Orcus finally worked up the courage to go find out who these people were. She grabed her staff and walked over th the pirates ship. "H-hello. W-who are y-you." She stammered in fear. I never was good with people.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 11:22 PM (GMT)
Aeacus walked up on deck to where Demus was standing. Demus was looking up so she did too. She saw the body hanging from the crows nest swaying a little from side to side. Aeacus tilted her head and flew up to examine the body. She came back down after a while. It's not one of the crew members. Doesn't even look like a pirate. Very wealthy though. I found this one him. She pulled out a green gem and gave it to Demus. Aeacus then flew up and cut the rope. The body fell and landed with a thud. When Aeacus landed she noticed a very scared person coming up the ramp. Aeacus held her sword tight, but seeing how scared the person was, wasn't about to jump out and kill them. 'ello. Who are you? Do you know anything of what happened here?
Orcus - December 28, 2003 11:30 PM (GMT)
Orcus looked at the person before her. "I-i was here when they c-came. I Know the pirates l-left. I didn't hear them get killed at least and It doesn't seem as though they are here." She strained her ears to hear any signs of othe people. "Are you looking for someone?"
demus - December 28, 2003 11:34 PM (GMT)
demus knelt and placed the gem back into the pocket of the dead mans vest, the stood, "thank you, but i do not steal from the dead.....it seems wrong...but you didnt know i felt this way, so dont feel bad, and thank you again...i wonder why he was here....perhaps he had to do with this....or perhaps he was captive on the ship when it was attacked...." he looked at aeacus, waiting for her to tell him what tom do, as he was confused as what to do next....
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 11:40 PM (GMT)
Aeacus turned back towards Demus. If he was a captive he wouldn't be up there, he would be bound down in the hammocks. No one can see him there or hear him. Whoever was here couldn't of found him. The underpart isn't disturbed except fot he cannons. Aeacus turned towards the stranger. First of all calm down. Were not going to kill you or hurt you unless you make us mad or try to attack us. Anyway, who came? And where were you this entire time? Pirates don't run away.
demus - December 28, 2003 11:46 PM (GMT)
demus turned to the stranger as well, lowering his blade, but not sheathing his sword, he knew he might need it at any time..."i am demus, and this is my freind, please tell us any information you might know of, i will go and scout around the ships, i will be back soon.."demus then lept into the air and circled the ships in the area..
Orcus - December 29, 2003 01:31 AM (GMT)
Orcus contenued to shake despite their attemps to calm her down. She smelt some blood and they said there was a person up somewhere. "I did not say they ran I said they left. I assume at least. They might have killed the attackers first. I don't smell pirate blood and I didn't hear pirates die. Do you live here? And who are you talking about?"
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 01:47 AM (GMT)
None of this made sense to her. I used to live here. None of this makes sense. Pirates don't just leave, they fight. If the pirates killed the attackers they wouldn't clean it up. Pirates are stubborn and don't clean. Where were you at the time? In what postition?
Orcus - December 29, 2003 01:51 AM (GMT)
"Over by some barrels listening. If you live here then why were you gone? Did the other one just fly or did I hear wrong?" She cocked her head to one side to listen.
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 01:57 AM (GMT)
I said I USED to live here. From when I was five to twelve. I come and visit often. I'm looking for Jack Stormbreaker. He sent me a letter. Yes my friend flew. He and I both have wings. Aeacus noticed that the stranger was blind. She knew this for a while but said nothing. Why were you behind some barrels?
Orcus - December 29, 2003 02:05 AM (GMT)
Orcus walked around the stranger. She smelt dragon. "I didn't want to die. People aren't exactly going over look me. Are the dragon wings and," she sniffed where the other had been. "Bat wings?"
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 02:09 AM (GMT)
Yes. Anyway did you hear anything that may be usefull to find the Pirates or whoever captured them. Aeacus still had her sword drawn but down at her side. Where is Demus?
Orcus - December 29, 2003 02:17 AM (GMT)
"I don't know. I heard them looking through some maps. They talked about somebody's house. I may have heard wrong but I think thay were talking to thak Jack guy. They sounded like they wanted him to tell somethin' important."
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 02:28 AM (GMT)
Aeacus just stood there. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Not Jack. Not Pirates cove. Why did he have to come here? Aeacus was first full of shock and sadness. All of it was replaced by anger. She turned towards the direction Demus left at. DEMUS! COME BACK! Aeacus turned back towards the stranger. Tell me everything you heard! Demus please hurry up. Aeacus stared at the stranger intently waiting for a reply and waited for Demus to return.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 02:34 AM (GMT)
"Well this really tough soundin guy said that he needed to get to this one place. he said 'Now Jack. Tell me how to get to 'er house. I know you know how.' But The jack guy kept sayin' 'I could never do that t' 'er' And the Boss guy got really mad- are you ok? Was he like yer da?" Orcus could tell she was upset.
demus - December 29, 2003 02:41 AM (GMT)
demus closed his wings, and dropped from the sky, until he was nearing the ground, then he opened his wings, and glided to the ship, and then to aeacus' side, he landed, and stood sternly looking upon the other female, who was holding a cane, he then waited for a second before asking aeacus what was wrong , and what the female had told her about the sittuation..
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 02:48 AM (GMT)
He was a father figure but not my father. Step father, if you will. Aeacus now turned towards Demus. From what I can figure he was here. He came and asked Jack about where my house was and how to get there. Jack didn't answer and the Pirates tried to help killing some of the men that are working for Him. The dead man from the crowsmask is a Bandit and works for Him. I guess the bandits working for Him took them hostage or figured it out and are up at my old house. I found this in Jack's Captains den. Aeacus pulled out the map she took earlier and handed it to Demus.
demus - December 29, 2003 03:08 AM (GMT)
"well....." demus studied the map for a moment....."i cannot make the call....this is yours, you tell me what to do, or what you are going to do, and ill be right there with you...no matter what..", pain and regret had been howling in the distance, he whistled silently, above the hearing range of most creatures, and the howling stopped, and the animals soon came from the nearby caves and greeted demus with wagging tails, and licked his hand as he offered it to them."were all here for you in this,"...demus smiled and awaited instruction, then spoke again,"if we have to fly, would it be too troublesome for you to carry pain here? she is very calm in the air, even fell asleep once....regret is not so keen on it, but he does what is nececery..."he smiled and held regret back, as he wanted badly to go and inspect the blind person who was standing nearby.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 03:11 AM (GMT)
"I want to come. I feel as though I should have helped when the man came. Why is your jackal staring at me?"
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 03:22 AM (GMT)
Aeacus looked up at the sky. It was getting dark. We shall go but not tonight. We must rest tonight and travel in the mourning. You don't want to go into the woods at night. Well sleep in Jack's Captains den. I'll show you were it is. Follow me. Aeacus walked to his den. She moved the table and went over to a cupboard and pulled out some blankets and old robes. I know this ship like the back of my hand. We can use these to sleep with. Aeacus dropped them by the window in the back showing Pirates cove. The ships head was facing towards the sea. I'll be right back. Aeacus walked into a different room. After a while she came back looking different. She wasn't wearing her shirt, but instead she tied her scarf around her shoulders back breast. ((ooc like a sleavless tanktop showing the belly.)) Her upper arms were covered in scars, but all resembled a shape of something. On her right was an eye, a 5, a P, a D, and a M. On her left was a talon and a feather. There's a bowl of fresh water in the other room if you want to freshen up. Aeacus went over and sat in the corner. I'll take watch first.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 03:27 AM (GMT)
"Why did you leave? you forget something? oh well, I don't care much. Tell me if you need light. It's about the only spell I know." Orcus used her staff to find a place to sit and crossed her legs.
demus - December 29, 2003 03:38 AM (GMT)
demus spoke as soon as she had finished,"actually, im gonna take watch first....you did last time , its my turn to go first." demus tossed her the blanket that was ment for him and walked out of the cabin not giving her chance to argue...he walked to the steering room before continueing to the deck, he stood at the wheel, and thought of his own ship, and how he missed the days of living off of the sea, and having nothing to worry about but what kind of fish you are going to eat, and what the weather is going to be like.....it was a simple life, he missed it...as he walked onto the ships deck he began to pick the cannon balls up, and place them in a pile near on of the cannons that faced the sea, and even loaded one of them, as there was a large number of black powder kegs on deck, he loaded it, just to see if he still knew how, were it not night, and were the others not there, he would have enjoyed fireing it...he pulled some of the cannons that had been hit by cannon fire, away from the mangled wood that surounded them, as with most cases when a cannon was hit by a ball, it would be moved , destroying its mounts, but not the cannon it self...he hoped that he might be able to help aeacus find jack...he was very impressed by his ship and wanted to meet him badly...
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 03:45 AM (GMT)
I went to the other room to change. Demus, Wake me in 3 hours. Aeacus didn't bother argueing with him. She tossed the blanket aside and laid on the floor. She knew she wouldn't get any sleep. That's why she wanted watch. So she laid there and watched the moon outside the window, desperate for sleep, but could get none.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 03:50 AM (GMT)
Orcus knew she wouldn't sleep so she went outside the cabin and went to a part of the ship away from demus and did staff work. She vigorously attacked the pole and practesed her foot work. When she tired she sat down on the deck. "I wonder whats going on at the castle. Last I saw they were all ready to slice Adsero's head off. Hope she escaped too." She spoke aloud quietly to herself. She shifted onto her back and looked at the stars.
demus - December 29, 2003 04:30 AM (GMT)
demus hearing adseros name wallked slowly towards orcus, and hoped she would continue to speak, she wanted to know what she was saying about adsero...perhaps she wished to hurt adsero, if so he would end this here and now....he tired of people seeming to want to injure adsero, he wished they would all leave her alone...he stood around the corner of the small house like structure that was on the deck of the ship, it contained the entrace to the lowere sections of the ship, as well as a room for use when the ship needed to be navigated during storms, with small holes in it to be looked through, as well as a thick glass window..he sat and waited, but she had stopped speaking...he aproached her, and asked her how she knew adsero.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 04:41 PM (GMT)
Orcus jumped to her feet and pressed a button on her staff, causeing a blade to appear on either side. "Why do you want to know? How can I be sure your not one of Regno's assains?" She backed away from Demus.
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 05:01 PM (GMT)
Aeacus heard the commotion and walked upstairs to see Demus and the stranger about to duel. What is going on?! ::sigh:: Both of you, calm down. Well talk in the mourning. It's my turn to take watch. Demus go get some sleep. You too. Go! Aeacus turned and walked to the top of the ship so neither of them could argue. When Aeacus made sure they were both in the den and probably sleeping Aeacus pulled out her bone hilt dagger. She then cut herself on her left arm. She made a nasty cut in the shape of a capital, bubble letter of a J. Aeacus took a wet cloth and tried to make the bleeding stop. Holding her arm she then looked around. She turned her back on the ship and faced Pirates Cove.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 05:05 PM (GMT)
Orcus did not sleep but mearly leaned against the wall. How could I have been stupid enough to talk about the castle aloud. I need to focus on the task at hand. I should also keep close watch on that Demus figure. Orcus finally shifted into a light sleep, ready to attack if Demus tried anything.
demus - December 29, 2003 07:49 PM (GMT)
demus sat thinking to himself how useless the weapon she had planned to use on him would have been...he polished his sword untill it shined even in the night ...he thought to himself of the time that he spent with his loyal adsero...and had never once herd of this females name...but had herd of the castle...and it all seemed strange to him...he planned to get to the bottom of this...he had to...he couldnt let some one injure adsero....
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 09:12 PM (GMT)
Aeacus looked at her new cut. It had stopped bleeding and looked really nasty. Aeacus put her shirt back on and removed the scarf underneath it. When Aeacus finished she looked at the hill her house was on. I don't want to go back. I don't want to remember. But I have to save Jack. When staring Aeacus noticed something glistening on the beach. She silently flew over to it. It was an arrow made of broken sword pieces. It pointed towards the hill and underneath it were the initials JS. Jack Stormbreaker. Aeacus went back to the ship. I'll have to wait till mourning. Aeacus sat back and listened.
demus - December 29, 2003 09:18 PM (GMT)
demus sat against a part of the ship, hoping he would once sail again...he would enjoy repairing this ship and making it seaworthy again...he shined up all of his weapons, and loaded his cross bow, then wrapped a peice of leather around the area where the arrow rested , and tied it tight so it wold not go off in his bag, and injure him or any one else in the process...he readied for whatever may come the next day...
Orcus - December 29, 2003 09:25 PM (GMT)
Orcus awoke and stood. Using her staff she found her way out onto the open deck. I don't think my staff will do much damage but it will have to do. Demus may be loyal to Aeacus but I don't know where he stands otherwise. She took a deep breath of sea air and walked over to Aeacus. "What is the plan? I may be blind but I can still fight."
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 09:38 PM (GMT)
Right now the plan is to go up to my old house at the break of dawn. Hopefully well find something that will help us find Jack. Or find Jack altogether. Anyway if there's nothing there we search the entire island. If there is an army there well have to fight. Simple. Now go back down and get some sleep. You need strength. Aeacus rested her head back.
Orcus - December 29, 2003 09:43 PM (GMT)
"I slept. I was trained to work with little sleep. What about you? Will you be ok?" Orcus didn't know this Jack person but he seemed to be important to Aeacus.
Aeacus - December 29, 2003 10:36 PM (GMT)
I'll be fine. At his point Aeacus didn't even know. From her headaches to no sleep. Aeacus wanted badly to save Jack but it wasn't smart to go into the woods of Pirates Cove at night. Dawn was only a few hours away.
