Title: Expecting a stranger... Or two.
Aeacus - December 31, 2003 04:29 AM (GMT)
Aeacus awoke feeling better then the night before. Aeacus turned to see Demus sleeping on his bed. He must of been sitting up because he was slumped to his side. Aeacus sat up and badly needed a drink. The water was gone, knocked over, and she didn't want rum while sick. Her head hurt and she felt like being sick but she managed to stand anyway. She silently slipped out of the room and went downstairs. The sun shone bright in the almost empty bar. Aeacus sat on a bar stool and ordered some water. After a minute Aeacus examined the empty room and turned back to the bartender. What happened to all your furniture? The bartender gave her a nasty look and banged the glass down in front of her, grunted and walked away. Aeacus shrugged and drank her water. She reached behind the bar and made a pitcher of water. There was already glasses upstairs so she didn't grab any. On her way up the stairs Aeacus noticed something in the corner. Setting the pitcher of water down she went over and picked up a ring. It was made of tiny bones that connect to a small skull. Aeacus looked at it and decided to show Demus. Maybe he'll know something of this. It's a lovely ring, bit on the creepy side, but lovely. Aeacus put the ring in her pocket and walked into the room silently. When she pulled out the ring again there was something attached to it. A letter. For some reason she couldn't get it open and had a rather large D on it. She set it on the table, drank some water, and waited for Demus to arise.
Aeacus - January 8, 2004 11:23 PM (GMT)
Aeacus let him do as he wished but kept an eye on him anyway. If we can't leave it unattended then we might want to go get it. It's in the room. To be exact on the bed, 2 inches from the pillow, and 5 inches from the wall. Do you want to tell me about the letter or would you rather me beat it out of you? Aeacus stood and looked at Demus. Then Aeacus noticed something in a shadowy area, something tall and dark. Aeacus looked at it for a while and it didn't move. She didn't know if it was a man or something else. I'll brb. You go in and find the ring and wait for me there. Aeacus walked over to the shadowy area, sword drawn. When she reached the edge of the shadows she stopped and didn't go into the shadows. Closer she saw it was a man but a very tall, skinny man that wasn't moving. Um....'ello? Aeacus approched cautiously. She man suddenly came alive and grabbed her. Aeacus didn't have time to scream or react before the massive hands grabbed her and sucked her into darkness.
demus - January 8, 2004 10:59 PM (GMT)
Demus snapped to, and began to draw his sword to attack, but saw that it was only aeacus, and though she would be a formidable opponant, he knew she was not likely attacking him, rather she was most likely trying to help him, he then looked around, took the note , and lit it on fire to destroy it, and when he did so, with the fire adsero had given him, it would not take the fire, it seemed to repell it even, like the fire was somehow terrified at the thought of touching the notes surface, but Demus was persistant, and he didnt think that there was any reason the note should not burn so he held the bit of fire that would not burn him in his hand, and the crmbled the note up, and held the two tightly inside his hand, the there was a small explosion, which did not harm Demus , but it had startled him off of his feet, and he sat back on the ground looking at the green smoke that was cought and taken away by the wind, and wondered if the dark wizerd was still near... Right, no im fine, thank you, are you feeling better?I must have the ring...it is unsafe for it to be unatended...
Aeacus - January 8, 2004 09:04 PM (GMT)
Aeacus flew back and landed next to Demus nodded as he spoke. Then he pulled out the letter. Aeacus let him read it and looked around. But when she turned back to Demus, she noticed the terror on his face. Demus? Are you alright? Then he just dropped to the ground. Aeacus gasped in surprise and sat next to him. Demus?! What's wrong? Are you Ok? What's with the letter? Aeacus picked up the letter but saw nothing on it but a few specks of dirt. Aeacus looked from the letter, to Demus and back to the letter again. I don't understand. There's nothing on here. What terrified you so? Aeacus was suddenly all panic. She looked around quickly to see if anybody was there. Then a thought stuck her. I don't know what terrified you and I wished you would tell me. But are you sick? Please say you didn't have what I had. Uh....we-we need to get you inside or...something. Aeacus stood up and tried to pull Demus up but she got dizzy and had to set him down again. Aeacus stood and looked around to see if anyone would help. Deciding that no one was there and didn't trust them anyway she had to get him to come back to life. Aeacus put her white hair into a pony-tail, with her blue streak on one side and the red streak on the other, with a piece of string and picked Demus up. She got him standing up with herself supporting him. Can you walk or even stand? Aeacus looked at him with concern.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 03:21 AM (GMT)
Xylia walked into the Elfsong Tavern. Her scarlet robes flying around her as the wind found its way through the door. She battled with the wind to shut the door. In the end she won and the door slammed shut.
Xylia pulled her scarlet hood lower to her eyes. All that could be seen of her face was her long, dark curls plummeting out of her hood and down her shoulders. She looked around the Tavern, it was fairly empty tonight. There was a few of the regulars sitting int the corner of the inn, drinking and playing a game of dice.
Xylia saw that her favourite red chair near the fire place was empty. She slowly walked over and sat in the shadowy corner. She awaited for the barmaid to take her order.
She had come to this Tavern often. She remembered when she had first stumbled across it trying to get out of the rain. Lance had bumped into her than. She sighed deeply, she had not seen her lover in several months.
She looked to the door, she had a feelings someone would walk through. She did not know if they would be friendly or not, but she knew someone was approaching, she could feel them.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 03:38 AM (GMT)
Aeacus came quickly through the door and slamming in shut. Some people were staring at her. She looked at them, making her eyes completly white, pupil and all. This looked even better because she had her rag over her mouth and her hood up so all you could see were her yellow, now white, eyes. They shuddered and looked away. Aeacus chuckled softly and sat in a dark corner and ordered some ale. She noticed someone sitting in another corner but didn't take any notice of it.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 03:43 AM (GMT)
Xylia looked curiously at the stranger that now entered the room. Her tattoo seemed to throb suddenly, she winced and held it close to her chest as she waited for the pain to subside. She sipped her drink that the barmaid had just brought her. It was the strongest Dwarven Ale available.
After the pain passed she glanced at the stranger again, sitting in the shadows like herself. She could not get a clear reading of the strangers aura. I seemed so chaotic. She smirked, much like her own. She knew that not a soul from this realm could read her emanations either.
She sipped her ale again, wondering whether she should greet this stranger or not.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 03:47 AM (GMT)
She followed in after Aeacus, struggling with the door, as Xylia had, and won also. Her eyes darted across the room. She made her way away from the people, sitting as far away from them. She made eye contact with the barman/lady, raising her hand. What should she order tonight? She didn't know many drinks only ale or beere. Ale will do better. Her arms folded on the table.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 03:54 AM (GMT)
Aeacus watched the newcomer come in. Aeacus's eyes suddenly went slightly gray. She held back the pain from her head and closed her eyes tensing up waiting for it to subside. Why won't they go away! UGH! I need to rest. Aeacus went up to the barman. Excuse me? Sir? Can I get a room? Aeacus pulled out some gold and laid it on the bar. The bartender grunted at her, took the gold, and gave her a key. She took the key and began to walk upstairs. About two steps from the top, Aeacus got a sudden pain in her head again and fell back downstairs. When Aeacus hit bottom everything was a blur. She couldn't move. From the pain in her head from the pain in her back she couldn't move or see. She just laid there.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 04:01 AM (GMT)
Xylia looked to where the door was, hearing someone enter. Her gaze followed the woman until she sat in a very far corner of the bar.
Xylia thought to herself, "The world has become so unfriendly. Even myself hold this horrible characteristic. The evil in the world has prevented us from making strangers into friends."
Xylia gasped as she felt a great pain in her head. The pain did not belong to her, she was feeling it from someone else in the room. She saw the first stranger she saw enter the bar walking toward the stairs. Everything seemed to become slow motion as she saw the woman plumet backwards.
Xylia leaped out of her chair and sprinted over to the woman. She knelt beside her and called out softly. "Can you hear me? Please, respond if you can in some way."
Xylia's hand clutched her bag of herbs, ready to try heal this woman if she must. She knew that all eyes in the bar were upon them. Everyone thought it was odd to see the two woman who secluded themselves from everyone else. This did not phase her at all, she was used to the stares.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 04:13 AM (GMT)
She did not pay attention to any stares. The barman/maid delivered her an ale soon after she had asked. She sipped and then gulped.
Her back was turned when the woman fell. The thump made her turn her head. She observed another woman going to help. Should she? No.. She'd probably only manage to make matters worse. The woman seems to be handling things alright.
She turned back and downed the ale, waving for more. The barman/maid arrived and filled her glass.
What shall she do tonight? Perhaps stay in her room? or travel..?
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 04:19 AM (GMT)
Aeacus noticed a blur over her trying to talk to her. All Aeacus heard was. ....hear....me?.....respond....way. Aeacus tried to put the words together and was successful. I'm...fine. Need...rest. Aeacus sat up slowly very dizzy and stood up balancing against the wall. She composed herself and got her eyesight and sense back. Thank you. I just need rest. Aeacus began to climb back up the stairs, slowly and proceded to her room, still dizzy.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 04:30 AM (GMT)
Xylia saw the woman teeter as she started to climg up the stairs. She reached out and grasped the womans elbow, making sure she wouldn't fall over again. She hoped she wouldn't offend the woman by doing so, but if she did she could not help it. She did not want to see the woman get hurt.
Xylia's head still throbed, she knew the woman was still in pain. Xylia was kind of like and Empath.. She could feel what others were feeling, but only sometimes.
Xylia responded, "Please, let me help you. I'm skilled with herbs. Please, let me help you. I really do not mind."
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 04:33 AM (GMT)
I'm fine. Thank you but no thank you. I have my own treatment. But thank you anyway. I just want to sleep. Aeacus politly pulled her elbow out of her hand, smiled and nodded and tried again to head for her room.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 04:37 AM (GMT)
Xylia curtsied slightly as the woman walked away, she replied, "Well, I hope you sleep well. Oh, and I am Xylia, The Maiden of The Rose. Maybe I will see you again soon. I come to this Tavern often. Goodnight, miss."
Xylia knew not to press people. She wished this woman would let her help, but she seemed determined to treat herself. She watched the woman climb the stairs, making sure she made it to the top. If she began to fall again, she would be there to catch her.
"People even do not accept help from strangers, I remember lands I have traveled to where even the strangest unknown person was welcome. The lands have been turning, and for the worst." Xylia thought to herself. She sighed deeply.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 04:38 AM (GMT)
Srwen clawed at the doorknob and managed to turn it with a lot of effort. His beak nudged the door ajar while trying to keep in flight. He wanted to get to Oseria. It wasn't nice to leave a bird kept up in a room. He flew furiously. He ran into both Aeacus and Xylia in the faces. He struggled to keep flight and to hold onto something with his claws, not aware if he clawed them in the face.
Oseria heard the flapping of wings. No.. Maybe. She glanced toward the sound and saw her raven struggling. She got up, putting down the ale and watched.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 04:44 AM (GMT)
Aeacus was waving her arms at the bird trying to scare it off. Since this was failing Aeacus just grabbed the bird. Aeacus was holding her wings and feet carefully so not to hurt her. She then went to the bottom of the steps and let it go, thinking one of them were it's master. She then pulled out a hankerchief and brushed away the blood on her face. Aeacus then walked back up the stairs. She paused next to Xylia. Thank you for all your help. I'm Aeacus. Don't take anything harshly, I mean well but is better left alone. Aeacus began to walk upstairs.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 04:46 AM (GMT)
Xylia kept watching the woman until she felt an aura speeding toward them, she then saw a black blurry object speed down the stairs. Instantenously Xylia wrapped her dark scarlet cloak around her face in an effort to lessen the damage being done to her.
Xylia felt the this bird was not meaning to hurt her. It was in search of something. Xylia tried to back toward the wall, moving out of the bird's way. She felt blood flowing down her face.
She muttered, "Aierus..Noiturnns...Aaleçêk.." In an effort to calm the bird down she spoke in the ancient gypsy language. She knew that her elders used to, in a way, communicate to animals in this way, much like the elves.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 04:51 AM (GMT)
Srwen flew to her and landed on the table, knocking the drink over. His black eyes stared into hers. Something snapped in her. Things seemed to go too fast around her. Everything seemed.. crazy.. The raven seemed to laugh with its eyes, knowingly.
She pushed the table away. Some cries at this. She threw the chair and fled up the stairs. People stared at her like she was crazy. Maybe she is. She reached Aeacus and shook her. Shook her hard. Staring. Her mouth stumbling to say something. Her hood has already fallen off her head. Her silver-white hair flew back and forth and she shook. The gold flecks in her eyes grew dim and the red became more dominant.
"Tell me.. TELL ME!" She chanted this.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 04:51 AM (GMT)
((ooc Aeacus post is after Xylia post. Sorry for confusion.))
demus - December 28, 2003 04:59 AM (GMT)
demus strolled into the inn, not expecting to see any one he knew , and saw aeacus acros the room, speaking to others,he walked slowley to the group, as while he was comfertable fighting large groups of enemies, this was easy , he was uncomfertable with large groups of people he was not fighting, he was unsure of who they were, but he knew having aeacuse there would make it easier, so he aproached..smiling at the group as he did, mainly at aeacus.
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 05:04 AM (GMT)
Aeacus pushed the sudden stranger off of her and held the stranger against the wall. Aeacus pulled out her dagger and held it to the strangers throat. May I ask why your shaking me trying to say something? Say it now or lose the ability to speak. Aeacus noticed Demus come in smiling. She smiled back. 'ello Demus. I'll be with you in a second. Aeacus turned back to the stranger, now a hostage waiting for a reply.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 05:11 AM (GMT)
Xylia eyes widden as she saw the Aeacus pushed the woman shaking her against the wall holding a dagger to her throat. She glanced back seeing a man had appeared out of no where. She paid him no mind.
"This seems to be turning into another scene of hate and fear. Is this all my Chaotic life brings me?" Xylia thought to herself.
Xylia felt out with her aura, feeling what this woman against the wall was feeling. She seemed very confused and unaware of what was happening. She knew she meant no harm.
Xylia spoke softly as she slid between the dagger and this woman, "She means us no harm.. She... She... Is some sort of trance. I can't describe it, but she does not mean to hurt us."
Xylia winced as the tattoo on her arm throbbed once again, she clutched it to her chest for a moment and then released it.
Xylia felt the blade of the knife on her back, she hoped she had not put herself into a very bad situation, though it already seemed to be turning for the worst.
She spoked to the woman against the wall, "Are you alright? Can you hear me?" Xylia reached out with her aura, trying to calm the woman, much like how she had tried to calm the bird's soul.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 05:13 AM (GMT)
She tried to shake the woman in front of her. Her hands reached out but only pushed her aside.
"Tell me.. Tell me.." She kept chanting this as she ran down the stairs, averting Aeacus. "Tell me.. You must.. Tell me.." The "you must" was added variably. Tears streamed down her white cheeks now. She didn't notice. Now her eyes are all read. The gold flecks have vanished.
Srwen watched all this with his black eyes. Those black eyes seemed to laugh. Laugh chillingly inside their sockets.
demus - December 28, 2003 05:21 AM (GMT)
demus spread his wings and flew to the group of people, knocking things, and people over as he did, and pushed them away from each other, grabbing the drow, and pulling her to another wall and restaining her against it, he looked deep in her eyes, and studied them as if he were looking upon her ver sould through them....as the others began to talk to him, he placed his hand behind him motioning to them to not speak, he never removed his eyes from hers, serching deep with in them...a slightly angered look on his face....
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 05:33 AM (GMT)
Aeacus knew that Demus knew what he was doing, being with him before in battle and other. Aeacus noticed Xylia wanting to talk to one of them but Aeacus caught her attention and just shook her head. Aeacus was close to Demus though just in case he did something. She didn't like the look growing on his face.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 05:38 AM (GMT)
A slightly dark look took Xylia's face as she pulled back her scarlet hood revealing her piercing green eyes. The rest of her dark curls plummeted to her waist. She did not like how this situation was going.
She waved her left hand out and two tables opposite her flew and crashed against the wall as she said severely and softly, "Everybody leave the Tavern now. Go to your rooms or leave." She was refering to everyone but the three strangers of course.
Xylia was normally good in nature but when pushed her chaotic neutral alignment was brought out. Everyone but the strangers and herself rushed out of the bar, not wanting to see what would happen next.
She hated using her magical powers for frightening purposes, but she had to make her point so everyone would leave.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 05:47 AM (GMT)
She was getting weak. It was night and it has been a long time, at least for her. Her throat felt slightly soar from chanting "Tell me.. Tell me.." but still she chanted. Her eyes held Demus's though. They rarely blinked. Her gold flecks in her eyes resurfaced slightly only to dip back in as she tried to grip Demus. To shake him. To shake the information out of him. "TELL ME! TELL ME! YOU MUST! YOU HAVE TO! TELL!" Tears just spurted from her eyes. A myriad tears this time. They were getting dry and red and already starting to puff. She started slightly shaking.
demus - December 28, 2003 05:54 AM (GMT)
demus reached for a glass from a near by table, and seeing that it had ale in it, he threw it to the ground, then grabbed up another and threw it to the bar keep and shouted the word water at him, demus had not known why she was doing this, and found nothing in her eyes, he could usually lull humans into a state of calmness with his eyes, as they were deep, and empty, and all encompassing, it seemed to calm humans, when they were deranged...but it had not helped now....he wanted to throw her down and scream at her, but he knew this would do no good..he took the goblet of water from the fat barkeep, he splashed it on her face, as he pulled and tugged at her cloting looking for weapons, finding none, he stepped back and let a the angry look leave his face, as he tried to think of what to do to help her...
Aeacus - December 28, 2003 05:59 AM (GMT)
Aeacus stared from Demus to the now soked stranger. Aeacus had noticed her eyes changed from gold flecks to none. The flecks had come back at one point but they unforntunetly dissapeared again. Aeacus turned towards Demus. 'ello. Quite a wierd situation. Aeacus then had a thought. Aeacus looked around for the bird. Aeacus had noticed the stranger go insane when she looked at the bird. Aeacus found the bird, grabbed it, and threw it out the window. She then locked all the windows and doors.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 06:14 AM (GMT)
Xylia looked around the bar. The tables she had thrown across the room lay destroyed and mangled. Whoever this man was seemed to want to take care of the situation himself, he had swept the woman away from her. She watched as Aeacus threw the raven out of the window.
"There is nothing more I can do here. No one wants to let me help them, though I very well could." Xylia thought. She shook her head slowly and drew up her scarlet hood over her blood caked face, at no point had she bothered to wipe away the blood the bird had drawn from her flesh.
Xylia slowly walked toward the door. Her scarlet, white and pink robes flowed in waves around her. "I cannot help a world that will not let me."
She raised her hand and put her palm out facing the door. It blew off the hinges, signifying Xylia's frustration. She walked outside and saw the raven sitting outside of a window, shaking with fear and pain.
Xylia picked it up gently and the raven cooed softly and looked up at Xylia. She walked over to a bench and sat down, staring momentarily at the full moon. She reached into her pouch of herbs and pulled out a purple leaf.
She held it to the raven's beak and it swallowed it slowly. It jumped out of Xylia's hands and perched on her shoulder knowing Xylia meant it not harm and had only good intentions. " At least you will let me help you..." Xylia muttered.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 06:25 AM (GMT)
The cold water helped bring her back. She whispered hoarsely, "Tell me.." She shook threatenly. Little by little her gold flecks appeared. Her eyes ached. Already they were puffing. She slid down the wall and huddled there. Her knees pulled up to her chest and she rocked slightly. Her gold flecks are all there now. The insane chanting has stopped. Her eyes refocus more. She is back.
She looks to Aeacus and Demus, questioningly. Her eyes then trail across the room, seeing a mess and a frightened barkeeper.
"Did I do this? Tell me what happened." This came out hoarsely. Her hand went to her throat, as if to fix it, and rubbed it. Then, her hands went to her wet face, to her eyes, rubbing them. She ran her hands through her soaked hair.
"Help". It seemed as if he said this. Perhaps it was only a caw that sounded like it. Srwen watched the woman who helped him. This woman is bothered. His black eyes watched almost expectantly.
Xylia - December 28, 2003 06:38 AM (GMT)
Xylia looked up at the full moon and then back at the raven that sat on her shoulder. It seemed to look at her expectantly. She felt that this raven wanted something of her. She whispered talking to the raven, "What would you have me do? I tried to help your master. I was pushed aside. That man and woman, Aeacus. I try to help...... I do... I almost gave my life for your master. That knife at my back. Always violence...."
Xylia sighed deeply. The people around must think her insane, talking to a bird and blowing apart the Tavern, literally. Xylia knew she would give the owner the gold for the repairs, she had more than enough.
She looked up at the stars twinkling, the raven cooed once more. She looked at the raven and said louder, "What do you wish me to do?"
Xylia half expected an answer.
demus - December 28, 2003 07:07 AM (GMT)
demus knelt down near the female, and while he did, he closed his wings, and drew them tight to his back, he looked about, and made a whistleing shape with his mouth , yet no sound was emmited, not that they could hear at least, as he did the two jackles that had been lying in the shadows outside the inn came bounding into the building, leaping over the various broken things scattered about the inn, he turned to them and put a hand on eaches head and looked them in the eyes and spoke to them in a foreighn tongue, he then walked out side of the inn to where the lady had taken a seat.....one of the hounds walking about the inn growling at the various people who had returned to the main room to look at what had happened, it only growled and showed its teeth when they made movements towards the femal huddled against the wall......the other canine, sat calmly next to her, looking upon her, and nothing else, with a very calm way about it, not moving an inch as it waited.......demus stepped outside and seated himself on the bench, "what was that all about?"
Xylia - December 28, 2003 07:15 AM (GMT)
Xylia felt the man approaching her. She sighed inwardly. The raven that was perched on her shoulder jumped into her lap. She stroked its head with her tattooed hand. Her tattoo was only partially visible. The ancient elven writing broke off into five branches at her wrist and continued to her finger tips.
The man sat next to her and inquired to the incident at the Tavern. Xylia drew her hood off of her head revealing her piercing green eyes and her long dark curls once more. She responded, "Your guess is as good as mine.. I do not know what is going on in these lands... Strange things... " Xylia sighed and shook her head, "I suppose I'll have to pay for the damage I caused.. I just thought it would be safer for everyone to leave.. Needed to get my point across some how.. Destroying those tables seemed like the best way to get their attention.. The door.. Now that's a different story...." Xylia trailed off.
"I should have not let my anger get the best of me. I am growing stronger. Terrible things could happen if I lost my temper." Xylia scowled herself.
Xylia looked up at the star filled sky and then she turned to the man sitting next to her, waiting to see how he would respond.
Oseria - December 28, 2003 07:24 AM (GMT)
He had left her alone with his canines and gaping townsfolk... He didn't even answer her questions. What had happened? She's only slightly shaking now. Her legs pushed out in front of her and attempted to get up. She was successful. Hopefully, these canines won't bother her and let her be. The language he spoke was not at all familiar to her ears. So, any idea of what he said is just a guess. She looked warily at the canine that is beside her. She takes a few hesitant steps, making her way to the doorway. The canine seemed to watch her.
Srwen kept watch on both of them, occasionally giving Xylia an expecting look.
demus - December 28, 2003 08:10 AM (GMT)
the feral beasts did not bother her as she walked, only the one watching her followed her as she walked, growling at any who made movements in the room, it was there to protect her, although she did not likley know this......demus sat out side with the female, when he saw the femsle leave the building, the one who was in a strange state when he had arrived, he called to the other dog as she past the doors frame, and it followed her as the other had , "as for the damages, i shall take care of that, the barkeep and i have, er...history, he will not say anything of it to you, do you speak to animals? the bird seems to like you very much...."
Xylia - December 28, 2003 08:19 AM (GMT)
Xylia bowed her head gratefully. She spoke softly looking down at the raven in her lap, "Oh.. I have not introduced myself. I am Xylia, The Maiden of The Rose and Gypsy. As for speaking to animals directly I cannot. I have the ability to read auras or emanations. I can read the animals feelings and in turn I can push my aura to it. I suppose it is a form of communication."
Xylia looked up at the starry sky and sighed deeply, "Where is Lance? I have not seen him in several months...." Xylia began to absent mindedly fiddle with her ring. She though of Lance often, but she pushed these thoughts aside.
Xylia continued speaking once more as she pushed some rogue curls away from her face, "Thank you for offering to take care of the Tavern for me... Oh, who are you? If you do not mind me asking. I do not come across such kindness often.." Xylia trailed off. She looked down to the raven and then up at the sky once more.
demus - December 28, 2003 08:28 AM (GMT)
demus smiled, wondering why he never introduced himself upon meeting someone....bad maners he thought to himself, or maybe it was because no one ever cared to know his name until recently, he didnt really care, it was a minor point whichever it were......he then spoke,"i am demus, and i did not understand what was happening inside, that is why i took action as i did....as many warrior,as well as vagrants do, i have a take action now, ask questions afterwards way of doing things....it cause trouble at times, but is nececery at others, and i was impressed by the display of telekinesis , the door didnt see it coming im sure.", he smiled as he called the hounds to his side where they sat obediantly, as he tossed them a small stip of bacon, which they gobbled up in much the same maner any canine would.....
Xylia - December 28, 2003 08:36 AM (GMT)
Xylia laughed when she heard what Demus had said about the door. It felt good, she had not laughed in a long while. She smiled warmly as she spoke, "I am honoured to meet you Demus. As to asking questions you may ask me as many as you wish. Believe me, I understand that asking questions is the only way to get anywhere."
