Title: Searching for the tree...

Lyrka - December 28, 2003 01:30 PM (GMT)
Lyrka nodded, though she was fcoused more on her memories at the moment. Maybe it was true and she did lose one or two of the less important memories when she was reborn. The name Santhanos was fimilar to her, and yet she could not recall why. With a shrugg and a sigh, she looked over at Raine. "We should start looking before the storm hits."

Raine - December 25, 2003 06:29 PM (GMT)
It must be around here somewhere... Raine opened the map one more time. That dock-merchant better not have been ripping me off... Raine was in search of the Tree of Santhanos, named after the famous pirate who used the all-healing fruit against a band of undead pirates in a huge battle. As he walked up a huge grass hill, the ocean air filling his nose, the sea was visible in all directions except ahead. There are no trees in sight.I wonder whats on the other side...

Ainariël - December 26, 2003 02:48 PM (GMT)
Ainariël walked along the beach of the Astendan Isles, her feet were bare and her hair was to her shoulders. She looked around, it was a nice day out to be on the shore, the sun shone and the waves were calm. She looked at the sea, she saw a few dolphins jump way out to sea, that was the only things moving at the moment, but then something caught her eye that wasn't in the sea, she saw someone on top a hill, she wonderd who it could be, normally people to not travel to the Astendan Isles because there was nothing to look at here.

She started to walk towards the large hill, she wonderd if the person was mean, or did the person come in peace. The hill was pretty far away from where she was standing but she was going to see who was here.

Lyrka - December 26, 2003 03:49 PM (GMT)
Lyrka happened to be exploring the cove aswell, curious for she had not seen all there was to see of it. She spotted Raine first, and walked closer for she wasnt that far from him. "Are you having trouble sir?" She asked at the same moment that she caught sight of Aineriël.

Raine - December 26, 2003 04:00 PM (GMT)
"Oh! Hello! Uh...I'm Raine, how do you do? I was searching for this tree right...here."
She seems so nice...He hands the map over to the stranger, and points to the place where he wants to be. "Santhanos...ever heard of it? A few stories of it popped up at a tavern on night, but no one has really ever seen it." Raine catches sight of a blue-haired girl walking towards the two....or is it green hair? "I wonder who this is..." They wait for the lady to walk up to them with awe...Something is different about her...there feels to be some sort of nobility that floats around her.

Ainariël - December 26, 2003 04:07 PM (GMT)
As Ainariël walked up towards the hill she saw someone else there, she thought she had seen the other person before, but she wasn't sure. She reached the hill where the two stood, she looked at them then said, "Hello, what are you doing here on this fine day?" She asked, she saw that the one was a man and the other a woman, the woman was holding a map, "Are you looking for something?" She asked looking at the map.

Lyrka - December 26, 2003 08:30 PM (GMT)
Lyrka smiled at him, "A pleasure to meet you Raine. I'm Lyrka." She looked down and studied the map for a few moments then looked up. "Well, your a little ways of from where you wish to be." She looked up as Ainariël then quickly performed a small bow. "You are the Goddess of water, Ainariël?"

Raine - December 26, 2003 08:49 PM (GMT)
Did Lyrka not want...this Ainariël to know about the tree? She knew her name, but when Ainariël asked about the map she did not respond. ..Hold up...Water God?! "Ainariël....It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I have visited your temple and found it beautiful."Should I tell about the tree? I want to...but will Lyrka do something?"Well this is quite odd...the three of us meeting here on an empty island like this."

Lyrka - December 26, 2003 09:48 PM (GMT)
Lyrka saw the questioning look in Raine's eyes and shrugged before turning back to Ainariël. "He is looking for a tree that supposedly belong to a famous pirate... I always believed it to be a legend."

Raine - December 26, 2003 09:56 PM (GMT)
Raine sighed a breath of relief and waited for Ainariël's answer. He noticed rain clouds along the horizon, and felt a nice strong breeze blow away the heat sticking to his body.

Ainariël - December 26, 2003 09:58 PM (GMT)
Ainariël looked down when Lyrka had mentioned she was the Goddess of Water, she wasn't sure she liked to be called that, she wasn't use to it, "Yes, my name is Ainariël, but please do not bow or anything, I do not think you should do that just for me," She said looking at The man who seemed to be uneasy about something, "Both of you do not have to make anything big about me being here, I do not like being bowed to," She looked at the map again still wondering about it.
But just then Lyrka answerd, Ainariël thought for a moment, she was thinking of this tree that a Pirate used, she thought for along time, thinking of all the books she had read, but then rememberd something about it, but she didn't remeber much about the story.

"I think I have read something about it before, but I can not be sure, I forgot most of the story about it, do you knwo the story about it, since you are looking for it you should know somethings about it."

Raine - December 26, 2003 10:31 PM (GMT)
"Yeah..the story, I know it. Santhanos was a feared pirate captain, though not evil, you wouldn't want to get into a fight with him and his crew. They found a treasure cove exploring one day, and after they looted the place the gaurds came out. I'm guessin' they were a little slow becuase they were undead....I dont know." Raine stopped to swallow and take a drink of water. He continued. "They fought hard all day, and eventually all of the Black Mist's(Santhanos' ship) ammo ran out. It seemed as if the undead ship was protected by magic, for there were too many holes in the ship to count, and it didn't spring a leak." Wow, this story was longer than I remembered...haha oh well "The Black Mist sailed off in a hurry to escape the undead pirates, who now had the advantage. They came along this shore, And ran along the tree. After eating one, a lone seaman showed Santhanos the fruits' amazing healing powers. Santhanos now had an idea. If these substances almost fully returned one's life, then it could surely end another's." Raine took another gulp of water and finished his story.
"They took all of the fruit-well, they used it towards their own health first, then did anything they could to get rid of the undead horde. Everyone was on the island now, for Santhanos' crew took the treasure off as bait. They smashed up the fruit and threw buckets of it on groups of enemies, dipped their bullets in it, put the juice on the end of their weapons. Santhanos and his crew celebrated a massive victory, and boy did they get drunk that night. And the rumor says that same tree is still somewhere here on this island.

Ainariël - December 26, 2003 10:46 PM (GMT)
Ainariël now remeberd the story about the Pirates, but she rememberd more detailed, she didn't know all of the details though. "I now rememer this story, but I do not know where this tree is, even though I live around these islands I still have not looked for it," She looked around from where she stood, she saw the rain clouds coming, she thought it would be good to get rain, it hasn't rained for many days on the island.

"Where does your map tell you where it is, but you can never reley on something that you got from someone you did not know."

Lyrka - December 27, 2003 01:28 PM (GMT)
Lyrka nodded, "I have heard that story aswell, though it varys depending upon the pira- the person who tells the tale...How long ago did all of this happen?" Raine said he had heard about it from an old crew member which meant that it could not have been too long ago.

Raine - December 27, 2003 03:23 PM (GMT)
"I was told the story but a few weeks ago, but it is said that the battle here was decades past." Raine pointed North. "It appears that if we head north-" He pointed to where the skies were still clear. "-We should end up at the...tree."
