Title: demus waits ...evil brewing in his mind
Description: evil brews within his mind..

demus - December 25, 2003 08:07 AM (GMT)
demus sat in his dwelling waiting to see if the female he placed so much hope in, for he beleived she was the key to his epic battle, would show to speak with him,....he had changed now...he had new reasons for vieing to destroy kuya....it was...more about what he stood for than any thing...

Varila - December 25, 2003 09:19 PM (GMT)
Varila walked into Demus' dwelling and saw him there. She was icily serene, and the curved blade of her glaive rose behind her head. "Why is it that you are scheming in here?" she asked, her voice sounding laid-back. "And it appears you're waiting for someone. So please do tell me whom." She leaned against the wall, feeling a tinge of distaste as she looked at this man for the first time. There seemed to be a void, something that he was missing...

demus - December 26, 2003 01:23 AM (GMT)
demus stood hoping that eve blacke had come to speak with him, but then saw it was not eve, and shrugged...and walked towards the new person, he moved his cloak to the side and and placed his hand upon the rounded pommel of his trusted blades grip, and made sure not to make any sudden movements, as he walked to her, and stated his name,"i am demus, and this is my place of stay, who are you and more importantly why have you come to my humble abode?"he then looked at her glaives blade, and then to his own, and then asked,"have you come to defend kuya?.....has he sent another to do his bidding?..."demus , with out pausing readied himself for battle mentally, and added a last question,"is he such a cowerd to send another to his fight?"

Eve - December 26, 2003 02:00 AM (GMT)
Eve had followed her senses to Demus's home, for the time being. She did not like this man and she was not about to aid him, she had come to him to tell him exactly that. I do not need to aid him, he has done nothing for me, I owe him nothing. In fact, he owes me, I spared his life in the tavern, had it been any other day, he would be dead himself. Her voice was low and hushed, talking to herself as she approached his dwellings. She let out a long irrated sigh, furious at the previous encounters with Demus. She heard some voices within Demus' thought home, she stood outside the doorway, not hiding herself, but not letting herself be known either then listend very carefully to what was being said.

demus - December 26, 2003 05:21 AM (GMT)
demus , upon walking to the female, noted that it was the female from before, as the light now graced her face, he almost smiled, "i see it is you....have you come to speak of that which i asked of you, or are you here to make battle?", he sincerely hoped she was there to speak of the buisness he needed to speak with here so baddly about....."is it true that you hold connections to the gods?", he looked at her waiting for her response, then added,"because if you do, i beleive you have a great amount of assistance that could be added to my cause...i would be willing to reward you in any way i can, although i have little more to offer than loyalty..", but he knew that this was more than just loyalty that others provided...he would fight to the death for those who would do the same for him...

Varila - December 26, 2003 03:15 PM (GMT)
"I am no servant," she said sternly, "I am the goddess of deception, and if you speak word of it your throat shall be slit. I came to talk business. Though skilled with certain...things, I have no intention of fighting without a reasonable cause. Aside from that, somebody is outside, most likely an eavesdropper." She sat down leisurely, with her legs stretching out to the side. "Alright, so what is it that you are working toward? Why do you need to recruit people to help?"

demus - December 26, 2003 08:58 PM (GMT)
"what is it that i work towards?...there are many answers.....some i do not wish to say as they are personel....although in time if we become allies, i shall share them with you.....i intend to work towards power, and also towards gaining it....and also taking it away from those who have too much....."...he paused, noticing what he said could havwe been mistaken ..."i do not wish to dethrone yourself, nor any other god other than kuya, i have many reasons for wish ing to do so, and do not try to force others to have my own, i allow others who wish to fight, to have their own reasons..i.....i understand that even the most good , can be too powerfeul...i know this all too well...and that power is something that should be divided amongst those who deserve it....and are willing to fight for it....", he again paused....."i wish to make an allience with you in this, as i said, i allow others to bring their own reasons with them to this conflict.....but i offer power to those who do not have it, and loyalty to those who do.....there is one thing that you can be assured of...if you ever fight by my side, you shall always have another at your back when you battle....." he then sat waiting for a reasponse....."and as for the other, waiting at the door, i had hoped to meet another tonight as well, but your company is much appreciated....i beleive the other is the delightfully evil, possibly demented,", he cast a stray smile towards the shadow in the door way, "eve blacke, another i wish to follow me into battle....as i have a feeling towards her that is akin to fear, but much more human, respect, i enjoy the way she seems to do things, so not unlike the way i once did things...."

Eve - December 26, 2003 09:46 PM (GMT)
Eve walked forward through the doorway, her eyes set on demus, glazed over in a fit of irratation. She walked in confidently, this place was no different than any other and she did not fear for herself, even after hearing that he was in the company of a Goddess. She stopped in front of him, her eyes narrowed, one hand on him as she lifted her other. The sleeve of her long loose cloak showing off her slender pale arm, cluthched within her mess of fingers and bright red nails was the parchment that had been attached to her door. In regards to this she stood in front of him, pompously, one hip cocked to the side as she torn the parchment in two and then two again. I have told you once and I will tell you again, I will not help your cause. You are beneath me and I do not aid those that are beneath me. She tossed the papers back into his face, a small, almost unnoticable smirk crossing her lips as she took her pompous position once again. You will surely fail, you do not have the powers that are capable of defeating such an enemy and you are a fool to think that you do. An eyebrow raised as it appeared she had struck a nerve with demus, she was delighted inside, her blood boiling as her own plans worked out in her mind. In a small way she was pleased that the pitiful being before her respected her in some way, he should, there was no question of that.

demus - December 26, 2003 10:40 PM (GMT)
demus knowing that he could not allow weakness in front of the imortal being, as she was so important to his plans, lept upon eve, now not caring in the smallest amount what she could, or could not do to aid his cause, lept upon eve drawing his sharp, jagged blade as he did so, placing its point deep into the groove in her throat, leting it cause a bit of blood to seep out of the vile female, "you have made your peace with me, and i have yet to do the same, you have insulted the wrong being on this day, your last day!"he said holding his blade firm with his right hand , and her neck with his left,"shall i let your blood flow, or shall you beg me not to, it matters not to me your decision, for either way, i have lost you to my cause, and do not need your insulence to be a henderance in my doings!" demus pushed the blade and turned it slightly allowing the vile beings fluid to flow from her neck a bit more, he had made efforts to not let he blade mortally injure her,and as he looked upon the creature, of which her death he wanted more than that of kuya at this time, he felt the heat eminate from her small wound....as did he the heat that seemed to come from within her entire body, as if she had become a raging inferno of fire, her body now hot to the touch of his left hand..."i can only assume that you have grown tired of this world, and wish to see the next.."demus wasted no time making his next statement, the muscles in the arm holding his blade, writing, and flexing, as if they wanted to push the sword through her neck as much as he did......."make your plea, or i shall kill you..."

Eve - December 27, 2003 01:48 AM (GMT)
Eve realized that this time in front of the Goddess would be crucial for demus and she decided to use it wisely. She did not want demus to triumph with his plans, she did not want to see him succeed in anything that he wished to do. She smirked as he drew blood, laughing at him. I have made my peace with you? I thought I had, but you have continued this nonsense, trying to drag me into your failures. I do not help those beneath me, I have told you all this before. She felt the tip of the blade press deeper against her throat, her blood boiling with irratation, so hot it was steaming as it hit the cool night air. As for my last day, you will not be the cause of my death, never will you get that satisfaction.

Eve's face seemed to light up, her eyes swirling silver pools upon the smooth pale canvas. Her skin did in fact grow hot, so hot that it would have burned demus if he was touching any part of her exposed skin, judging by the way they were situated, she would guess that it had. Her fingertips grew number, the tingling sensation completely gone as she reached for her daggers, twisting in such a way to through demus off of her. She was hot, very heated in this battle once again with the stranger. Not knowing exactly what it was that he intended to do, she took a steady stance. You care to kill me, do so now, you will not succeed. I will take pleasure in your pain and I assure you, if you make the wrong decision tonight, I will devote my life to causing yours ruin. Her face had lost it's smirk, all emotions seemed to slip away as she because cold and serious. Her eyes seemed to pierce through demus as she stared him down.

I do not like you and I do not like your kind. I may be ignorate onto what you are, but I can tell, by your scent that you are not worthy my my approval. If this woman, this Goddess that has come to you, knows anything at all, she will leave you here to rot. Her eyes did not leave demus, only grew more piercing as she spoke. Not once did Eve lift her hands to wipe the blood that now dripped and dried down her chest, it bothered her not for all her attentions were not on demus who was bent on harming her. You will fall demus, perhaps not to death, but you will fall. She had an uncontrollable urge to lunge out at him, but she waited, waited for the right moment to do so. You tell me to plead for my life, but you do not realize that I plead with noone, that means you. I do not fear death you pitful fool, I will embrace it. But I know, just as the Gods know, this is not my night to die.

demus - December 27, 2003 02:05 AM (GMT)
demus pulled his dagger and threw it to the ground behind eve, and readied his poisonous blade for combat, he stood and spoke,"fall? fall? i shall show you fall....i shall teach you a lesson of battle, and of defeat, i apaulogize that we have been so rudely bothered goddess, i shall speak to you as soon as i am done here.....eve? do you know of your gods wishes regarding myself? i think you do not...but i must assume that you think of him as you do myself, as i saw you battling him.... i shall show you a wrath that he did not...."

Eve - December 27, 2003 02:15 AM (GMT)
Eve raises an eyebrow to demus, sighing heavily. You are mostly talk, your words mean nothing to me. She waited, readied, but waited. You keep speaking of this wrath when you know in your mind you are no stronger than I am. You have fancy weapons and you many have fancy spells, but that does not make up for the lack of skill that you do not have. The silver pools swirled frantically, reflecting the joy that she was recieving as demus was getting so worked up over her. She glanced to the Goddess with just the corner of her eyes and smirked, satisfied with herself yet again. You know nothing of my God demus, but if you intend to try to convince me otherwise, do so, you will only be wasting your breath. I do not take my orders from you, you are not my God. She laughed loudly, her head tilted back slightly as she did so. She found it funny that demus would fancy himself with the knowledge of her. That he would dig so deeply to find out things about her, find information that he hoped would aid him in his battles. You will fall, you sad being, you will fall. She continued to laugh loudly, the sound flooding through the small home and it's surroundings.

Varila - December 27, 2003 02:18 AM (GMT)
Varila stood up like a cat, her agility showing in each movement. "Neither of you have a right to judge me," she said. "Eve Blacke, even if you call ruin upon this man, the both of you are already ruined, and lack the self-control to stop yourselves from flying at each other tooth-and-nail. Demus, gain some sense and then maybe we will see eye to eye. Yet as of right now, you are both in a pitiful state." She strode easily through the doorway, and called in Leirennin, "Mirro, we ride away, there is nothing here!" From the shadow of Demus' dwelling came a dragon colored a deep purple, its eyes glaring maliciously at all except its master. Varila swung lithely onto the dragon's back and waited for a response from Eve or Demus.

demus - December 27, 2003 03:24 AM (GMT)
demus now enraged as the female had ruined his plans, she must die...this is what he thought......he ran at her, dropping his weapons as he did, screaming,"weapons mean nothing fool!" tackleing her and flying high into the air, his entire body glowing brightly as he became more angered at the insullent females actions...he flew higher and higher....he could not stop himself...he was angered beyond even the time he saw his fathers head fall to the floor under the blade of the guillotine that had severed it......he kept saying to himself that the female had brought them both doom on this night.....he only hoped that she would die first...

Eve - December 27, 2003 03:28 AM (GMT)
Eve said nothing as she picked herself up from the ground then dusted off her clothing from demus' enraged attack. Eve had not meant to judge the Goddess and didn't seem to care either way, but she couldn't have been more pleased with herself if she had planned out her actions. Knowing that she had done what she had needed to do for the time being she sheathed her daggers winking at demus, a mischievous smirk gracing her lips. She did not bow to the Goddess as she left, didn't look back on the poor creature that she left behind. Eve only glowed with some form of dark delight as she slipped out of demus' home, disappearing into the shadows of the many ruined structures, making her way back to her small palace within them.

demus - December 27, 2003 04:45 AM (GMT)
as demus returned to the ground, he asked of the female now sitting upon a large beast,"i ask of thee that you only aloow us to speak buisness, i never intended to judge, the only thing i care of is wether or not you will fight by my side, i have planned this and with yours and bahamuts assistance i beleive there is no way that we may fail, despite the words of the harsh female who just left, and as for the buisness i wish to speak to you about, if you wish to do so, then i ask that you came back into my humble and decrepifying home so we might speak in privacy now, as for the dragon, there are some freshly killed trols near by, i slayed them my self, i am not sure if that would be to his likeings, as i have never owned a beast of such stature, i have owned feral hounds and nothing more, i am however regardless of your decision thankfull that you havew graced me with your presence and time, thank you", he turned , then paused and turned back, "and as for me attacking the lady, she is as far as i know a vile creature who fears none, and i attacked her for two reasons, i did not wish to have a guest in my home attacked, and also, i did not wish to appear weak to you, i am in grave need of your assistance..." demus turned and walked into the building he called home although the rightfull owners must have perished some ages ago...

Varila - December 30, 2003 03:54 PM (GMT)
"To that, I have already answered," she said bluntly. "Kuya may be the newest of the gods, but I certainly prefer his company. Aside from that, I care not who prays to me, or who bows to me, but know that if you ever come near Talas, you shall regret it." She prodded Mirro with her knees and he went off at sort of a galllop. Varila knew how these type of people operated. They had lost faith in religion, and in other people, so they turned to their own weak minds and found nothing. "So sad," she said, "that such a zealous man has been pulled into that trap." Both Mirro and herself seemed to fade into the shadows of the building as they made their way back to Talas.

demus - December 30, 2003 04:06 PM (GMT)
"very well....if this is the way it must be...i shall do it alone..i cannot bring my allies into combat without the assistance of a god...we would all perish, and for what? my wanting to solve an issue in my past...i will make my self an exampl to these people that the gods are not almighty, they are not invinceble...i must go give the news to the people that follow me...i cannot have them die for my cause..."demus walked into the decayed building and sat to plan his actions, as the plans his mind had worked out would have to be durastically changed without the aid of a god...how strange that none had accepted his offer...even the goddess of deception...perhaps he had been mistaken...it seemed as if the gods were closer than he had thought...would he have to battle them all if he fought kuya...it did not matter now...he had been prepared all along to die...and it seemed now that this preperation might have been well worthwhile...
