Title: Quest for the Light

Anaxandera - July 21, 2003 03:59 PM (GMT)
Anaxandera walked into the town of Gwilikith. It was cold and she hugged her small white cloak around her body for warmth. A nearby dwarf eyed her suspisously and grimaced. Anaxandera glared. She was tired of the prejudice that had taken hold of so many races.

Pelor - July 21, 2003 06:36 PM (GMT)
Pelor was magically disguised as a native dwarf. He walked around the cold city, studying the dwarves. A young woman caught his eye. He thought she was young at least, you never could be too sure in Imythess. But then again at his age, everyone looked young. He walked up to her silently and said, "Welcome to Gwilikith." He was using telepathy to enter her mind. There was so much going on though it was almot too difficult to interpret her thoughts. A smart one.... thought Pelor.

Bahamut - July 21, 2003 07:01 PM (GMT)
Baha Mut sees Anaxandria and Pelor, instantly recognizing Pelor as a god, as he had the ability to. he walks up to them.he whispers to Pelor"I know what and who you are......"

Anaxandera - July 21, 2003 08:39 PM (GMT)
Anaxandera stared at the dwarf who had just welcomed her. She smiled and replied. "Thank you kind dwarf. But I had thought that your kind had a hatred for Elves like myself"
Then a young person came up to the dwarf and wishpered something into his ear. The was no mistaking the shock on the dwarf's face.

Pelor - July 21, 2003 09:20 PM (GMT)
Pelor changed back in a swirling ball of light. "How did you know it was me?" He turned to the foreignley dressed elf. "Did you know it was me?"

Anaxandera - July 21, 2003 11:23 PM (GMT)
"I a sure you i have no idea who you are and personally don't care" Anaxandera said calmly. When the light had apperead it clicked in Anaxandera's head that this was a god of some sort but she was no stranger to gods and knew how to deal with them. "Forgive me for being rude" Anaxandera apologized.

Pelor - July 22, 2003 12:36 AM (GMT)
"That's quite all right child. I can see by your style of dress that you are not from around here. Please feel free to stop by my temple at any time. I may even bestow a quest upon you."

Bahamut - July 22, 2003 02:53 AM (GMT)
"He is Pelor, God of Sun. And I can sense the presence of a god. for I am an eidolon. or was"

Varila - July 22, 2003 02:45 PM (GMT)
Varila was walking through the dwarf cities when she saw the three taller people, who were easy to pick out amongst the stouter, shorter dwarves. None of the dwarves made a move to stop her as she glided over, to see why such an odd trio would be found in Gwilikith. She used alter self to become about three feet tall, looking graceful as ever, and a little more childlike. Her ebony hair turned a deep crimson, as she gathered it into her usual ponytail. With an innocent smile upon her face, she walked about, pretending to mill around, but still keeping closeby. "Pelor must be preaching again," she muttered to herself in a lighter voice. She looked almost like she had at the age of eight, at least her figure did. Her eyes turned a vivid, but piercing green. Wearing a plain sleeveless blue gown, she crept a little closer, so that she was within earshot. "Of course," she muttered to herself, "he's just preaching again." Yet in spite of herself, she crept even closer.

Anaxandera - July 22, 2003 03:32 PM (GMT)
Anaxandera nodded. "Thank you for permission to stop at your temple. You are also right about one thing i'm not from around here at all". Anaxandera then curtsied deeply to the God of Day. "Umm if you don't mind me asking though what type of quest's do you give ouy? She asked

Pelor - July 22, 2003 03:58 PM (GMT)
"None yet. Though I do have a particular mission for a certain select few. I am now observing all of the travellers that have been arriving at Imythess from across the moonsea. This man here is Bahamut, and he is correct by adressing me as Pelor. What is your name?" Pelor turned and smiled at the little Varila.

Varila - July 22, 2003 04:03 PM (GMT)
"Me? I'm Rielle Hesero. I was here to ask a favor of the dwarves, but you three stand out a little." She shot a quick, but deadly glare at Pelor, as she surveyed Bahamut and Anaxandera.

Pelor - July 22, 2003 09:10 PM (GMT)
Pelor froze. "If anything, I recognize that glare. Show yourself Varila!" He turned back to Anaxandera and Bahamut. "May I introduce Varila, goddess of deception." He turned back to the girl. "Now how is it that you always know it's me?"

Anaxandera - July 22, 2003 10:30 PM (GMT)
"Forgive me but I must be going" Anxandera said and turned to walk away.

Varila - July 23, 2003 01:21 AM (GMT)
[SIZE=1][COLOR=blue]"A simple trick that you would notice if you still had your wits. Unfortunately, you needn't know what it is." She closed her mind in case he tried to use telepathy, although she remained in her eight year-old form. She looked pretty in her own deceptive way. "Still preaching, Pelor?"

Pelor - July 23, 2003 02:16 AM (GMT)
A smile played on Pelor's face. "Varila, I do not use tricks to make my way in life unlike some of us. And if you must no you nosy child I am scoping out the newcomers for a trustworthy person to retrieve for me something I lost." He paused for a second to wait for Varila to change back. "What's the matter child? Too wet behind the ears to show your face to me? Some would call that, cowardice."

Bahamut - July 23, 2003 03:58 AM (GMT)
"Do you two always fight?do you want me to turn into my real form?"he looks dangerously at the two of them

Varila - July 23, 2003 02:27 PM (GMT)
"Actually, if you only knew what memories this form carries you wouldn't call it cowardice. Besides, I'm comfortable this way, for now." Although she appeared to be eight, she gave the both of them a cold, condescending glare. "Immortality will not protect me from all things, but I have ways of defending myself. What is it that you have lost Pelor? As you know, I do have some valuable sources."

Pelor - July 23, 2003 03:31 PM (GMT)
Pelor wasn't smiling anymore. He had a deep frown on his face and he was facing Bahamut. "Boy I couldn't care less what form you were in. How dare you threaten two gods! Didn't you make a plea not too long ago to become a god? Where do you think threatening those who decide your future will get you?" The frown deepened and threatened a glare. "Think before you speak boy." He turned to Varila now and smiled. "My gratitude for your offer Varila, but I would like a mortal to do it for me so I can find some trustworthy people. And the thing I lost was called Pelor's Crest of Elysium. I wish you both good day." Pelor turned and blinked to soem far off point in the distance.

Varila - July 23, 2003 05:43 PM (GMT)
Varila smiled at Bahamut and reverted to her original form. "Do not mind him too much, although he can sometimes get rather over-dramatic. Although he is right on one thing. I've learned the dance of the noble from childhood. Threatening those in greater power than you can only bring humiliation." She put her cloak back on. The condescending look that was fixed on Bahamut now seemed far more intimidating.

Anaxandera - July 23, 2003 07:41 PM (GMT)
Though Anaxandera had walked away she could still hear Pelor and Varila arguing. Anaxandera decided not to get in there way and she slipped into a respectable looking inn.

Pelor - July 23, 2003 09:19 PM (GMT)
"Well spoken Varila. I believe Lady Laoura has called a council about this Baha Mutt. what should we tell her?" His eyes were still on Bahamut. He was going to put a good word in, but Pelor isn't sure anymore. One thing he was sure of. This kid would have to make a dang good apology to get back on his good side.

Varila - July 23, 2003 11:08 PM (GMT)
"I feel that all he deserves is a very slow death. Any milder form of punishment would be far too kind." She laughed, as if the thought amused her and said in her usual, deceptive voice, "Pelor, it appears we finally agree on something." And she stayed, to make sure that Bahamut wouldn't cause any more trouble.

Bahamut - July 24, 2003 04:19 AM (GMT)
Hey look, im sorry. Im not a godd people person, as for the past 600 years, Ive been serving idiot humans with horns who order me around because they managed to capture me in a jewel. thankfully, one accidentally destroyed it setting me free.........."horns are starting to grow out of the side of his head and on top of it."oh no.............ive been an elf for to long...............but i cant renew it here.............."his skin is turning rough and brown.

Varila - July 24, 2003 02:12 PM (GMT)
Varila looked at him firmly, without fear, and held her glaive at the ready with her right hand, black lightning crackling at her fingertips in her left hand. The lightning grows to a black orb in the palm of her hand. "Pelor, I daresay that he isn't getting my approval. You demon!" The orb flew and hit Bahamut right in the chest. ((it's enervation, which causes mortal injury or death to the person it hits.))She glanced at Pelor, leaning on a nearby rock. The spell had drained her, but not enough to sap all of her strength.

Pelor - July 24, 2003 04:30 PM (GMT)
Pelor blinked right next to Bahamut. "VARILA, STOP!" He yelled as he healed Bahamut's wound. He then cast summon angel. "You," he said to the angel. "Take him somewhere safe." The angel lifted him up and out of the city before carrying him north.

Varila - July 24, 2003 09:15 PM (GMT)
She stared at Pelor as if considering something, then shook her head. "Go ahead and deny it, Pelor, but he deserved it. Your heart is most often your greatest weakness." Varila smiled and turned away from him.

Pelor - July 25, 2003 12:03 AM (GMT)
Pelor yelled after her, panting, "It is also my greatest strength. And if at times, it weakens me then so be it. And it is my heart that keeps me from pointing out your weakness." He didn't wait to see if she would reply. He blinked away into the night.

Varila - July 25, 2003 01:11 AM (GMT)
Varila smiled as she walked slowly out of Gwilikith, her cloak trailing out behind her as she walked. "Perchance Pelor, you don't even know me. After I'm through with you, you'll have learned a valuable lesson. One that I had to learn the hard way..."
