demus had noticed the ruckus in the distance far before the being that travelled with him..."you stay here, you can watch if you like, but it might be safer to hide..."
with this statement demus spread his wings and lifted to the sky........Raine could see in the distance as he aproached , demus flying at the two massive humanoids repeatedly, looking much like a wasp, or fly giving a herd creature hassle....then one of the creature fell in a maner that obviosly showed its lack of life, that is , to any one who has seen death in combat...to another it might have seemed a injured leg, or something else that would cause the being to fall so quickly to the ground, demus smiled and hoped that the fellow traveller had been watching...

Raine stood in dumb disbelief. He just took care of two huge...things in a matter of seconds! "How did you do that?! Uh...what if that one gets back up?! It only seems to have lost a leg...Can it still use magic? Can it use magic at all?" Oh man...I'm gonna need to learn a lot. Look what happened during the first couple hours...

demus ,having fellled both creatures, then flew high as one began to attempt to stand once more, and dropped from the sky like a shooting star seems to in the night skies over the desert, and firmly planted his blade within the mind of the beast, wondering to him self if he should feel bad for doing so...they had not attacked him...they had been fighting each other...he wondered if they were mindless as they seemed to be, or if they thought of things such as this......he then removed his blade and used a back flip to place himself upon the other creatures body....it have a long gash across its abdomen and its intrales were visable...he had no pity for this creature...but had he, he would have done the same as he planned to do now...it was in misery, he then placed his blade hilt deep into the creatures skull, silently hoping it would end its life quickly....he could not help feeling for those in pain...even if they were his enemies.......he thought to himself...."why do think of such things ...i prefered myself when i was cold...and hated all other creatures....it was a much more simple time in my life...i fear things will only grow more , and more dificult for me , if i allow these feelings to make their way into my mind...." he then stood upon the freshly killed beast, and waved his hands at the person standing in the distance,"It is safe now, come, let us see what i have done!it will be your first lesson!"

Raine runs over to Demus, standing over his kill. Raine steps over a pool of blood to get closer to his new teacher. "What shall I learn? My ears are as open as my eyes."

Adsero lied face up on some ruins only feet from Demus. "So, your teaching now? Creating an army, I asume to go fight Kuya?" She talked to him, but did not move or face him. Her fingers had stopped twitching and she wanted it to stay that way.

Raine jumped..Who is this?! "Um....Demus? You know her? She doesn't look friendly..." Raine backed up, only to trip over some of Demus' stuff. He saw a pole on the ground, and held it, not up and ready to fight, just so he can be safe.

Adsero laughed to herself and sat up to face Demus and his fdriend. "Small army." Her fingers twitched. "Dammit! It took two hours to get them to stop that. Oh well." She looked at the man with Demus."Aye, I know light boy. Don't be afraid lad. I wouldn't hurt a fly unless of course I had to. But never mind that.

Light boy? Raine dropped the pole. He didnt think it owuld help that much anyway, against someone who looks so powerful. "I am sorry for acting so harshly against you." He gives his hand to the lady. "I'm Raine. I'm here with Demus, as you can see."

Adsero shook his hand and looked down at him. "So, what has light boy told you to get you to fight a god?" She was curious to know who stupid someone would be to go up against a god. Well, Me for one.

demus stood back and let the two aquaint them selves, then steped forward, and interjected,"Wel, this is raine, and that is adsero, but you already know that, and dont let her looks fool you, she packs a punch im sure, and if your not carefull, she'll pack your things as well.....",he leaned towards raines ear and sain, while looking at adsero with a smile, "shes a thief, a good one at that" he said it so that both could hear him, then looked at adsero, and smiled again.

She smiled. "Come now. Its not as though I really mean to. Its these hands of mine. Is this the only one who would go against Kuya? People seem to contenously get smarter."

A....God? "A God?!...I am sorry...I did not know...I oculd not tell....but why would a God be a thief? Couldn't a God get whatever they wanted?" He smiles at Demus' reply, and lets him take over.

Adsero stared in disbelive. "YOU DIDN'T TELL HIM!!! HE IS HERE TO FIGHT KUYA CORRECT?" Calm down. Mabye he isn't going against Kuya.

demus looked at adsero as if she had reveiled a secret......"Yes and no, i am still planning to combat Kuya,but i plan to do so after some time, i wish to train an army, he is a god, after all, i am even trieng to set up with some of the other gods to see if he is disliked by them, i will try to learn all that i can of him, and his powers, but i fear he will be a tough opponant......and yes, i had hoped to get raine here to help in this battle, but i see that he might be hesitant ..i had plannede to train him so his confedence was to a higher leavel before telling him......but i see it is up to him now...."

Demus...I do trust him... 'I think i should wait a little bit. I do trust you, Demus, but i think i will need to learn a little about this Kuya before I take sides. I hope I can still train with you though.'

Adsero put her head in her hands. "You actually think there are more stupid people like us who will oppose a god? Did those boxes imaire your thinking? NO GOD WILL GO AGAINST ANOTHER GOD! It would cause a war. If you could get only one by tricker, I doubt you'll get more, even if you tell the truth. WHy are we going against Kuya anyway?"

".........yes i understand what you are saying, and if you wish to train that is fine, but i will say that should i defeat him, and gain power in doing so, and you have not supported the battle directly, i will share none of that power with you....but i will not kill you unless you take a side of opposition to mine....but other than that, you are welcome to stay here, and train, adsero might teach us both a thing or two also.....there is much to be learned from some one who so adeptly sneaks up on me, the master of shadows that i am, have i shown you my powers?"

"I want to see these powers. I don't reallyknow all you can do, light boy. Need any fire?" Her eyes turned red/orange and a small bud of fire appeared in her hand.

"No, the sun will do..he looked up at the sun,"its when the sun falls and brings night, that is when you will be of the most help to me, your fire that is, you of course will always be good company, and assistance to me , im sure of this..."
he then spread his wings, which at full spread, span a distance of around twelve feet, "are you ready?"

What have I gotten myself into... 'Demus, I have thought it out....I will fight by your side. I will need training though, for I know nothing right now'

"Use your powers!! I'll play with my fire anyway." The fire glided through her fingers. "Catch!" SHe tossed the fire to Raine.

demus then stoped for a second and looked at raine, "it comes to mind that others may tempt you with power, or money, but i guarentee you a place among my ranks that will bring fear to those that opose us...keep this in mind as i show you my power...." he then lept into he air his wings spread wide, and let out a roar as he began to absorb the suns light on his wings, and flew at a high speed performing acrobatics in mid air, rolling, and weaving about the sky, then he drew his sword and dove towards the ground, his body making a humming sound as it cut through the air, apon nearing a structure on the ground, he let his blade go, and flew back into the sky, then to his freinds on the ground...there had been a sound similer to the sheathing of a metal sword in a metal sheth when he let his sword go..."shall we go see he damage?" the two followed him to where all three were amaized at his blade burried hilt deep in the ston wall of a crumbling structure, he noted that some of the blade protruded on the other side o the solid rock wall,"heh, i had not expected hat....now to attempt to remove it...."

Adsero grabed the sword, swung herself up, and planted her feet against the wall. She tugged at the sword but it would not budge. She manuvered herself around and stood on the sword. "I don't think it will come out."

demus laughed at her attempt, not to insult, but as he knew she had ment it as a joke, or he thought she did....either way he knew a way, he quitely looked at the ground and spoke a spell, and in doing so his hands altertered in shap, size ansd color, they now looked similer to his wings, he then using the massive shadowy claws began to effortlessly scrape away rather large bits of the granit like material, he then allowed his hands return to their normal state, and gently pushed the sword in a bit, then removed it, with a small amout of struggle , this only evedent by him gritting his teeth..."well i did not know i could make it go in so deep...i would like to see the armor that could with stand that "he then laughed and asked adsero if she was tired, as raine obviosly was, he had fallen asleep on the ground....or possibly fainted...he could not tell....he looked at his weak army, while indevidually strong, as a group they were lacking...he was proud all the same...."should we take him to the building i stay in her in the ruins?"

"Might as well. I need to heat up my feet anyway." She grabbed Raine's wrist and pulled up. Then she and Demus brought him into the shelter. "I'll start a fire." After the fire was brought up, she stuck her feet close enough to touch it without being completely in the fire, just the soles of her feet.

demus was glad that he knew some one so comfertable with fire....he could build his own fires, but did not like doing so......he sat near the fire awaiting convorsation, sleep, or raines awakining..

Adsero layed on her back and looked at the sky. "What is it like to be able to fight whomever you please?"

"i would not know the ones i wish to kill have long died after living long, happy lives..this torments me every time i breath a breath of the life giving air...wishing i could bring them back to life...just so i could kill them myself..."...he paused..."and if the battle should take place, i do not want you to lose faith in me if you have it, but do not overestimate me....i can battle any one i please...but can not guarentee myself to win...normally i do not enter battles i am not sure of...but this must be done..."

"I would still go into the battle. I don;t care if we might not win. There are still many I wish I had killed long ago."

"well i will tell you from experience....wishing does no good, only action can mend such things....." , with that said he noded to adsero, and laid his head back to sleep,"you will of course wake me before you go to sleep yourself...as it is not safe to sleep without a watch being kept..."

"Ugh....what happened?" Raine sat up and scratched his head. He was laying on the floor of some house, with a blanket over him. It was night, but the area was lit from a fire that either Demus or Adsero made. Demus was snoring loudly, that could have been what woke him up. Now the snoring died down, and he turned to Adsero. "What time is it? Are we at Demus' house?"

demus soon awoke from his slumber, with a dry feeling in his mouth, it was still night, and adsero and raine were speaking, he waited to be spoken to before he spoke...

Adsero thought for a second. "Im not good at telling time but we are in Demus's "house". Demus, I see you woke up already. Rum? Whisky? Any beverage other then water?"

demus replied,"one, i do not partake, as i have told you" he smiled at adeseros attempts to get him to drink liquer," and two, rthis is not my home, it is our dwelling, unless either of you have another....i think of it as a place of utility, a place to speak of our plans, nbe they mine or yours, as i say this it reminds me of something i wish to speak to you both with, " demus pasued and cleared his throat knowing what he said, might make him seem human, and weak,"if there is ever a time that you need me, if you should need an acomplis, poosibly assistance in battles that you know of ahead of time, i will always be there fr those who do the same for me, i am entirely loyal to the two of you, so long as you return the favor to myself, and adsero....where do you get all this liquer at, do the barkeeps not see you coming and hide their products yet?' he smiled and stood brushing his lower half off before replacing himself on the floor with his freinds.

Adsero smiled. "I am very good at what I do. I can't drink water so I drink liquor. Want some Raine?" She handed a bag of flasks to Raine. "I can't write so I don't know which is which, but they're all good." She smiled.

"you cant write? hmmmmm nether can i .....but i am learning, i was not tought as it was un needed for me to be a good servant , reading was useless to me , i did not care what the humans felt they had to put on paper, i only cared that they died.." noting that what he said might make adsero feel awkwardm he quickly added,"i hated the humans that held me captive more than any other thing i knew..."

Raine popped the opening of the flask out, to reveal an enormous stench that traveled throughout the room(for raine could see demus gagging). "Um...I think i'll skip on this one..." He opened another one to reveal something sweet-smelling. "Maybe this'll numb some of the pain ive been having recently." He raised the flask."To my health!" And took a nice swig.

demus laughed as the smell left the area, he did not enjoy liquer, because he could not....." i am glad to see the two of you so happy, tomarrow we begin training, with our swords.."

Raine sat up. "Uh....yeah about that...I kinda..." He was a little hesitant. "...I kinda don't have one." He took another gulp of liquer.

demus reached to his small pile of contents, he had always felt safer traveling light.....and retreived what appeared to be a rolled up peice of oiled leather, then tossing it to raine, he removed a sheath of a similar material, but with inscriptions on it from his own language, and tossed it to raine as well, it is for you, and only you it was crafted by an elf similar to you, and givin to me by a man i once knew, ther is one for you as well adsero, they are a matching pair, i have decided they are to symbolize our unity, our freindship, and most of all, our allience in battle, the sheaths however , i made myself, they have your names in my peoples writting on them, there isnt a single being in this world that can read our writting, besides myself, and any other survivors from my people, they are yours to do as you wish with, he had already tossed adsero her blade, but not her sheath , he had been looking at it, and running his finger tips across the imprinted symbols on it...he tossed it to her too." on the other side of the sheaths, are their names, shadow for adsero, and bane for you raine, they have never seen the face of battle, yet, they are unused, treat them well, and may they help to protect you, the man who gave them to me told me to put them to good use, and i think i am, dont proove me wrong..." demus smiled as he ended his statement.
