Aeacus silently came into the inn. No one noticed her and she was fine with that. She went to a very dark corner and hurridly sat down. She was shaking slightly and was out of breath and parched. Aeacus has been running for the past couple of hours from some vicious dogs set out after her. Aeacus had no idea why, and only one of the dogs bite her in the leg and she had a gashing wound there. She put heal on it and it was slowly healing. Aeacus had to get to Pirates cove. Jack had sent her a note to come there urgently with people to help. Aeacus had been looking for Kuya or anyone else to help her but she came upon some people who had dogs and didn't quite like her. She sent Accipter to give Kuya letter about it earlier that week. Aeacus ordered some hot cider and sat back taking in deep breaths, feeling tired, and hoping someone she knew would come in.

demus walked into the inn, and noticing her winged freind, walked to her sitting near her, and upon seeing her legs wound, he looked to her face and asked, "what happened?"

Stardust entered the tavern. She was in a really good mood and was flying around people's heads. Suddenly she stopped. She noticed a wounded dragon-like creature. She flew over there and then around the wounded creature a couple of times. She then flew to the man sitting near and looking worried. Around him also a couple of times and then stopped between of them floating in the air.
"Hi I'm Stardust! A fire fairy. Who are you?"

"i am demus, and you shall soon know my name all too well...", he looked at aeacus' wound, and wondered how she had been bitten by what looked to be a dog....she could fly, he understood she had been through an ordeal, as she was panting, so he gave her time to collect herself before he would ask her again..."and where are you from stardust, and most importantly, is there something that you need of me?........he looked at the small fairie....perhaps i could interest you in a proposition......do you know anu magic? "((ooc out of charecter, dont say you do untill you have purchased it:) )), he then looked again upon the wound on his freinds leg....

Stardust landed on a table and looked at Demus.
"Are you up to something or what? I mean your name..I'm not going to be the only one to know it well, right?"
She flew around demus once more and stopped in front of his face to look him into the eyes.
"A proposal? What proposal? You need me for something? Noone ever needs me.."
They fairy turns sad and you can see that she is reminding something from her past. She began to tell
"Well...I'm from a place called Firnezia..or to be more exact it WAS Firnezia..it is no more. It was a beautiful place to live in..atleast for some of us...until...until the evil's invasion..there were some..creatures i had never seen before..ah..they killed all!! And I just ran..and ran into a great mage..he created a portal and now I'm here..ah it all was awful...awful.."
The fairie's eyes fill with tears.
"That's my life so far..not so nice as you can see..I will..I will have my revenge some day!"
The fairy sat on the table again.
"So what proposal were you talking about again? And no, I don't know any magic yet..we weren't allowed to learn it in Firnezia in such a young age..but now I'm free to do anything."
Stardust gave Demus a cunning smile.

Aeacus had been daydreaming and just came out of a dazed state. She looked at Demus and Stardust. 'ello. I'm Aeacus. Aeacus said to the fairy. Aeacus turned towards Demus. 'ello again Demus. For my wound I was bit by a dog. I had been running for a couple of hours from this pack of dogs set out to kill me. Only one got me. I put heal on the wound, and it's healing, just slowly. Aeacus talked sort of fast and was still slightly shaking. Aeacus turned back towards the fairy. That is very sad, your story I mean. Can you describe the ugly things that destroyed this Firnezia? And would you two like anything to eat or drink?

demus withdrew the pouch he kept his gold in, at least that which he carried with him, as he kept much of his gold hidden in the ruins, somewhere only he knew of, he looked at the two and spoke"well, order what you want, its on me, you, farie because i wish to speak with you, and because you seem to have had a hard life, and you aeacus, because, well, your aeacus, weve been through alot, and this is the least i can do, you know what i mean, i dont wanna have to do the , im loyal forever speach again," demus laughed softly, trying to stop from looking at the wound, as he thought it might help her to think less oabout it, but he had seen her with worse, and assumed that the panting and sweat was from the running more than anything, "you know what i mean right aeacus?"demus gestured to the barkeep to come to their table, who responded by pointing at the nights only waitress, who was trying to take care of three tables at once demus again aquired the attention of the man behind the bar, and shifted so that his sheathed blade could be easily seen by the fat man, and pointed to it to make sure he got demus' drift, the keeper angrily placed a mug he was washing with a dirty towel on the bar and walked towards their table... as he came to the table and began to speak in an annoyed maner, demus stood, and stepped so that he was directly infront of the man close enough that they could feel each others breath, and told the man to calm his voice , or to suffer the loss of it, demus sat back down , having not made an ordeal of this, no one had seen it , and he was glad, he did not want to embarass the man, only to make him think of the way he spoke to his customers...."order what you want, im sure our freind here can get it for you" he glared at the dumpy man as he said the word freind.

Stardust turned to Aeacus.
"The creatures..yeah..I didn't get a really good look, but I know that they were big..they had red glowing eyes and wings..but they weren't using them..they were horrible...they were like the hell itself..uh..still makes me quiver..thinking of them.."
Stardust's little hands start to shake. She then turned to Demus.
"That's very nice of you, Demus, but I'm not hungry. I don't eat much, which you probably have already figured out. And I don't think they serve blueberries here either.."
She smiles at him.
"Now..when shall we have our chat about that proposal of yours?"

demus stood, and looked the bar keep in the eyes, "blue barries my good man." the man began to speak, demus interupted,"was that bluebarries you asked for fairie?, yes i beleive it was......she wants blue berries, and the lady next to me wants bandages, or shall i put it this way, to sway you to find such things quicker, I want blueberries, and some bandages, now" the man scurried away grabbing up some bandages from behind the bar, and fumbleing about in the massive fruit basket, which contained enough fruit to sell for a week, demus then sat, and began to explaine himself"i have had some....er ...issues with that man, he owes me his life, but wishes it to stay a secret, i do not care for secrets, they bother me, as for the proposel, i would like to enlist you into my ranks, we could use some one like you, your size would be very usefull.....but if you do not wish to , then that is fine, i understand, oh , and i cant tell you what it is i plan to do untill you have sworn allegiance to me and my men, i understand that is hard to understand, but it is how it is, you may take it or leave it as the humans say, and do not take my words harshly, i do not mean them that way, but i do hope that you will take time to know me before you say no, now, " demus stands , and takes a small bowl of berries from the bar keeper, as well as a basket of various bandages,"thank you, and will this be enough for you , fairie?"

"Mmm..blueberries..that is more than enough"She smiled.
"About the proposal..I would love to join you. I could really be a good spy you know." She blinked at demus. "I do need friends..and friendship is what you do offer aswell right? You shall tell me about your plans when you think it's time..that doesn't bother me. Shall we eat now?"The fairy takes a blueberry and eats it, thinking "mm..haven't had that good a long time.." Then eats one berry after another, when the bowl is almost empty. Then wipes her mouth and hands. She looks happy and pleased.

Aeacus had been thinking about what the fairie said. What really puzzled Aeacus was the wings they didn't use. Maybe there a creature I never heard of. All well. She looked at the fat bartender. May I have a bottle of ale please? Thank you. Aeacus turned back towards demus and the Fairie taking the badages. Thank you. Would you two like some ale or rum? I love ale. Plus right now I ned it to calm my nerves. Aeacus took the bandages and began covering up the wound. It was still bleeding but closing up slowly. It seemed to be green in an outline around it. Damn dogs..... She wrapped the wound up and sat back up. Aeacus's bottle of Ale came and when she picked the cup up, it was vibrating from her shaking hands. She quickly took a sip and set it back down, putting her hands in her lap and holding them tightly, noticing Demus staring. She had stop panting by now. She quickly looked out the window next to her, eyes glowing yellow with a hint of purple.

demus smiled at the fairies words and looked at the berries, and wondered where they came from, he had never seen things like this other than in bowls......the humans had many fruits.....he knew they were not an animal, and assumed by their soft fragile skin that they could not have come from the ground, and instead decided that they likely grew as grapes do....he enjoyed grapes.....the orange ones being his preference...."as for freindship i do not give it freely, it must be earned, i have few freinds," he smiled at aeacus and continued,"but i do offer loyalty unlike any other, i would die defending any who would do the same for myself, and again, i do not mean to be harsh, but freindship is alot to ask of someone such as myself, i have been taught to be untrusting of others, but you seem trustworthy enough, and i would like your assistance in my journies, a creature of your size would be very greatly appreciated among my ranks, speaking of ranks, we are few, but we are growing in numbers as time goes by, you have just become part of something bigger than all of us combined, am i wrong in saying that it feels good to be part of something, to belong? this is all that i can offer you, i am not a rich man, nor shall i be any time soon, but what is mine , is yours , so long as you show me the same loyalty i show you.....visit the shops and if there is any thing you need, let me know, i do have some gold mind you, i have made a wage killing trolls and selling their goods, as well as carcuss', so , i thank you for your words, and aeacus, what troubles you so?"

Aeacus looked at Demus quickly startled and then turned back towards the window. I have been taught also to be cautious and untrusting of others. My friends are few but being in battle with you Demus sort of changes everything. By the way nothing...nothing is bothering me. I-I just have a lot of....things on my mind. Aeacus never looked into Demus's eyes.

demus sensing that this was something to speak of in private, and possible regarding himself.....he spoke looking at aeacus' eyes though she was not looking at his,"i too have much on my mind, i beleive this is the way of the warrior, to be a defender, or attacker, and not allowed to show their true feelings to others......perhaps we shall speak of this at another time, and do you know were you lost the dogs at?" he smiled at her hoping that a bit of battle might cheer her, as well as allow them to gain some privacy soon, he had much to speak with her about...

Aeacus failed at looking at the window so she just stared into her drink. Where did I see the dogs.....about 10 or 12 miles from here. They started chasing me then and I ran from there to here. I do not wish to fight them now, I have lost them and that's fine with me. Aeacus bent down checking her wound but began whispering to Demus. I must speak to you in private later. She got up and took a drink of ale trying really hard not to look at anyone and kept flashing glances out of the window.

demus stood and left a small pile of gold obviosly more than what he had spent on his items, more even than for the drink aeacus had received, and smiled at the fairie, wondering if she could even carrie the extra he had left for her, and spoke,"we shall meet again fairie, we shall speak of many things when we do, i bid thee farewell on your journies," he smiled and walked to aeacus and said,"there is no time like that which is upon us, where would you like to go to speak?"

Stardust picked the rest of the berries and put them into a small bag.
"Thank you, demus! We shall meet again yes..soon..Farewell you two..and Aeacus I hope that wound heals well.."
The faery smiled at them and then takes wing and quickly flies out of the inn leaving golden dust behind as a trail.

Good bye fairie. Aeacus made a small waving gesture to the leaving fairie. She stood up and faced Demus. Let's walk and talk shall we? Aeacus nodded at the bartender and walked outside with Demus at her right side. I might as well start it's a long story. When I left you at the ruins I was going to see a friend of mine first. I can not tell you who or where but when I got there my friend was gone and the place burned. Well, there was nothing I could there so I continued to come here. It was about a week's walk from there to here and I didn't want to fly. But on my way I had a strange feeling somebody was watching me. Someone powerful. But when I looked around I saw no one but that feeling still followed me. It still does. Also, on my way here, I kept getting these horrible sudden head aches. It's not like a regular headache though. It's like.....Someone stabbing a knife through me head all of a sudden. Whenever I get these headaches, I can't see and I get disoriented. But....sometimes...sometimes my memories come back. But not only can I see them I hear them too. And it's always more clearer and louder every headache or something. Demus, I'm actually scared. I don't get scared often. But I'm paranoid. I'm constently shaking, I'm constently looking around to make sure no ones there, I usually see when someone's coming but I can't, and I can NEVER sleep. I usually get sleep once or twice in a week but I havn't slept for the past month. Also, I need to get to Jack. And I'm not sure if this all ties with Jack's letter and situation. Aeacus stopped and looked around, almost to tears, eyes bright purple. When she turned left, a wind picked up and pushed her sleeve up reaviling a bad scar in the shape of an eye. Aeacus quickly pulled down her sleave and looked away.

demus wished to comfort her, but knew he could not, he did not begin to know how, he could not comfert himself even....he spoke,"we shall stay together untill this passes, or if it does not, we shall find the source of these problems, i knew a man who when i was a pirate, we took hostage for his medical abilities, he grew to enjoy the ocean life, until he lost one of his legs to a hydra, he now resides in a small hut near the shore where the ship sank....he may be able to help with the headaches , if it is posible, i shall watch your back, and you mine, this is how it must be untill this passes, i cant have you goin off and dying on me...." he smiled at her , and hope that she ahd understood him, as she seemed preocupied with other things...."shall we fly, it may be safer in the sky, but there is much to be said for a good walk, it might do us both good, i do not know your plans as to what we should do....should we go to the man you call jack? or shall we go to the place that burned, and investigate, often people return to the place of ttheir own crimes to enjoy it a second time, there may be something to be found there.....but it is up to you, and i want you to feel safe, i am here, youve seen me batle, i think im good at what i do, as are you, we are safe as long as we stay together, i do not beleive even the gods could stand up to our combined wrath....." he smiled again as they continued to walk, "and sleep will come when you are ready for it, it always does..."

Thank you for everything. We have to go find Jack, to much time has passed already. We shall fly, If your up to it. I may go a little slow. Well slower then you've ever seen me fly. Aeacus smiled and laughed softly looking up at the sky anc closing her eyes. Sleep...I do not remember the sweet feel of sleep. She opened her eyes and looked down. I do not remember happiness. Aeacus spread her wings and was rubbing her right arm where the eye shaped scar was, wincing slightly. Shall we? And don't worry, I won't die on you. I promise. And I never not fill out a promise.

"that is good, as i do not intend to let you die, i rather like the company of another winged one in combat, i get tired of having to watch after my groundling allies," he replied with a slight smile, although what he said was completely true.. he had enjoyed combat with her, and hoped to see more of it.....he enjoyed combat of any kind....it was a way to releive his agressions towards the world....he followed after her as she took flight...
