Title: Room for rent

Shain Volgornd - March 13, 2006 03:34 PM (GMT)
Shain looked into the door of his room. He had enterec the city of balefire not an hour ago, looking for a place to stay. He was after a target, someone he was payed to kill, and had been told that he was in this city. As he looked around the room, Whyverin, his umbra, padded in and began to sniff aroundd the walls, searching for anyone or anything hiding. Shain hasd been extrenmly luck in getting this room. The tavern had been extremly crowded, and this had been the last room that he could have alone. It did have two beds, so it was ment for two people. but he had convinced the manager to let Whyverin count as his roomate.

Nodding in satisfacton at the stae of the room, Shain entered the rest of the way and began to take off his cloak, laying it on one of the beds. He removed all of his weapons and layed them ontop of the cloak. Rolling is shoulders and popping his knuckles, he sat on the bed, and looked towards the door. He might go down in a moment to get a meal and drink. He expected to be spending a long time searching for his target.

Rothardan - March 13, 2006 03:43 PM (GMT)
The tavern was crowded but Rothardan didn't care... he had barely escaped from spiderhaunt woods and was looking for a nice area to rest in. This place wasn't nice... it was too crowded and the place stank of fumes and other unholy gases which Rothardan wasn't too keen on. Walking up to the innkeeper, Rothardan looked at him and inquired about the rooms and how much they were.

"No rooms left. They've all been taken..." was all the innkeeper said before he walked off.

Rothardan swore and simply ordered some ale and food. After paying the innkeeper some gold, he took his meal and sat down at an empty table in the corner before eating his meal and drinking his meal.

Shain decided that he probably should go down to get something to eat. "Stay here and let no one in, Ok," he told Whyverin. She growled in response and sat down about five paces from the door. Shain smirked and left the room, heading for the stairs. When he reached the bottom, he looked around the bar, taking in the people that had just arrived. Many were trying tot get a room some how, and the man had to keep telling them that there were none left. One cuaght Shains eye. It was a man that fit the discription of his target exactky. Shian's eyebrows rose a bit in surprise. He had expected a long search through the city. And there was a pluss. This man was one of those that needed a room. "Perfect," Shain whispered.

Walking toward the owner, he raised hand to signal that he needed his attention. Sighing in releif, he hurried over toward Shain. "I can spare the extra bed in my room if someone needs it." Pointing over his shoulder to the man he said, "he can have it." The bartender narrowed his eyes for a moment, the nnodded. he might have been suspicious, but money overuled that. Shain watched as he rushed over to the target to tell him.

Rothardan - March 13, 2006 04:18 PM (GMT)
Rothardan had finished his meal and began to relax upon the chair. It was oddly comfortable... or perhaps it was the sleepiness that was coursing through his entire body that was trying to lull him into the throes of sleep. Rothardan was very tired... he could barely keep his eyes open and he knew that at any point he would fall asleep.

And then he saw someone rushing over to him... the innkeeper. He wasn't smiling, instead he looked slightly disgruntled about something and wanted it to be over and done with as soon as possible.
"Greetings sir, what can I do for you?"

(Sorry it's short but I didn't have much to work on...)

Shain Volgornd - March 21, 2006 02:49 PM (GMT)
Shain watched as the owner spoke to the man, then waved to Shain to come over. Walking slowly, Shain approached the table, observing the man occupying it. Looking to the tavvern owner, he spoke to his target. "I noticed that you needed a room. I have one, if not the last, avalible room for two if you dod not mind sharring. You will have to deal wiht a farley large cat if you accept." Shain told him. Hopefuly, he would accept, making his job here a whole lot easier.

Waiting for the reply, he looked over his shoulder toward the other people that had been looking for a room. He might offer to give them his room once he was done with this man. Glancing toward the stairs, he hoped Whyverin wouldn't mind switching inns soon. Shain did not think it would be wise to stay here after killing.
